Novelista, cuentista, dramaturgo y periodista argentino, nació en la ciudad de Buenos Aires, según su hija Mirta Arlt, el 2 de abril de 1900 aunque algunas biografías ubican la fecha el día 26 de ese mes. Hijo de inmigrantes lituanos, Roberto Arlt vivió en el barrio porteño de Flores; a los ocho años de edad fue expulsado de la escuela pero continuó su educación de manera autodidacta. Entre la década del ´20 y el ´30 participó del mítico grupo literario de Boedo, en el que -junto con otros escritores, como Raúl González Tuñón, César Tiempo, Elías Castelnuovo, Álvaro Yunque, entre muchos otros- ejercitaron una literatura de vanguardia, en la que predominaban la temática social y las ideas de izquierda. Entre sus títulos más destacados podemos citar "Los siete locos", "Los lanzallamas", "El juguete rabioso", "El amor brujo" y "El jorobadito". Trabajó como cronista policial en el diario Crítica, de Natalio Botana; fue corresponsal del diario El Mundo y, cuando conoció a Leónidas Barletta, tomó contacto con el Teatro del Pueblo, por lo que en adelante se entusiasmó con la dramaturgia y escribió obras como "300 millones", "La isla desierta", "Saverio el cruel", "El fabricante de fantasmas" y "La fiesta del hierro". Tanto en las novelas como en los cuentos, su temática giró en torno a la angustia, la hipocresía de la sociedad burguesa, la marginación, el aburrimiento, la miseria y los tabúes sexuales; con un lenguaje típico porteño y las características aportadas por el aluvión inmigratorio. La muerte le llegó sin aviso en la madrugada del domingo 26 de julio de 1942, tras sufrir un paro cardíaco. Lo recordamos en esta fecha, a partir de un informe especial elaborado por el Área de Contenidos y conservado en el Archivo Histórico de Radio Nacional. Cancer has been one of the most mysterious and complex to treat conditions present in recent history. While the current treatments have severe side effects and other negative implications, ion channels may offer new opportunities. Ion channels are highly selective proteins that play a significant role in the function of cells. By changing the cell's charge, the various functions and metabolism can be manipulated, allowing for the development of new therapeutic techniques to treat cancer. INVITÉ:Saverio Lamenta est Owner and Head coach a KeepUp. J’aime depuis toujours le sport car il est pour moi le cadeau que l’on fait à son corps. Mon amour de l’activité physique est une suite logique à mon cursus en tant que pratiquant mais également en tant que professionnel dans le milieu. En effet, depuis mon plus jeune âge je peux affirmer que j’ai pu tester et me perfectionner dans une multitude de sports (la liste serait trop longue à énumérer) grâce à ma curiosité personnelle mais également à mes études.A la fin de mes études universitaire en 2013 j’obtiens mon Bachelor en Science du Mouvement et Médecine du Sport de l’université de Genève (dernière année à Lausanne). J’exerce d’abord le métier de professeur en éducation physique et lance en parallèle mon activité de coach sportif pour me rapprocher de ma passion qu’est le Fitness. Durant la même année, j’intègre une entreprise indépendante en tant que responsable du secteur du personal training.En 2015, ambitieux d’évoluer, je lance la société KeepUp Sàrl afin d’offrir des séances de groupe. Deux ans plus tard, fort de mon expérience et envie de voir mon entreprise grandir, je décide de lancer KeepUp Crossfit.Mon parcours de compétiteur est également un atout pour mes compétences de coach. J’ai travaillé dur pour pouvoir participer à d’incroyables compétitions dans le circuit CrossFit. Ce qui n’a fait qu’amplifié mon goût pour le travail et l’envie de transmettre les valeurs qui s’y rapporte. Mes formations en CrossFit (Cf level 1 et level 2 en cours) ainsi et surtout mes camps d’haltérophilie m’ont permis de parfaire mon coaching. Mais une chose indispensable pour évoluer dans notre métier réside dans le partage, le travail sur le terrain et le perfectionnement continu.Je suis fier aujourd’hui d’avoir une telle équipe à mes côtés et de m’entourer toujours plus de professionnel dans le monde du mouvement. Pour moi le CrossFit est synonyme de partage, de dépassement de soi et de bien-être. La musica è sempre stata una costante familiare, una passione tramandata di padre in figlia, padre che della musica, per un breve periodo, ne ha fatto anche un lavoro e oggi ci racconta la sua esperienza

This week we are excited to welcome Dr. Saverio Cambioni to the Weekly Space Hangout. In October 2020, OSIRIS-REx successfully collected (and stowed) a sample from the asteroid Bennu in a Touch-And-Go (TAG) maneuver that could not have been attempted — much less completed — without the assistance of the CosmoQuest community who participated in the Bennu Mappers project. Bennu Mappers launched on May 22, 2019, and ended a mere 92 days later on August 21. During this time, 3640 community members examined 4509 images which had been collected by ORSIRIS_REx during its 2 years of orbiting Bennu. They were tasked with identifying and marking rocks that exceeded a minimum size. Each image was marked by 15 people which amounts to over 14 Million total marks! This data was then forwarded to the OSIRIS-REx team and used to identify safe candidate landing sites, including Nightingale Crater where the sample was collected. Needless to say, by the end of marking images, the weary cry of virtually everyone involved was "{EXPLETIVE} Bennu!" followed immediately by "SO. MANY. ROCKS!" In a paper titled "Fine-Regolith Production on Asteroids Controlled by Rock Porosity" [https://rdcu.be/cy1TH] which was published in the peer-reviewed journal Nature on October 6, 2021, Saverio and his co-authors may have solved the mystery as to why there are SO. MANY. BOULDERS on Bennu by using machine learning and temperature data. Dr. Saverio Cambioni earned his PhD in the Planetary Sciences at the Lunar and Planetary Laboratory of the University of Arizona, with a thesis on the application of Machine Learning to Planetary Sciences. He also holds a BSc and MSc in Aerospace and Space Engineering from Sapienza, University of Rome. Saverio is currently the Crosby​ Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research focuses on the formation and evolution of asteroids and terrestrial planets. I spoke with Francesco Saverio Leopardi of Ca'Foscari University of Venice about his recently released book 'The Palestinian Left and Its Decline: Loyal Opposition'. We go through the recent history of the Palestinian Front for the Liberation of Palestine, or PFLP, from 1982 to 2007. We go through its complicated role(s) in various Arab countries and even more complicated relationship with other Palestinian groups, especially the PLO, as well as some lessons to draw from this group's experience. As with all conversations I have, this one was intended to be broader than its specific topic. Hopefully by the end of this episode you will have a basic understanding of: the PFLP's history, tensions within the Arab left, the role of Israel and the Assad regime in destroying parts of the Arab left, and even a brief comparative analysis of the Egyptian communist movement and the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK). I even made a loose comparison between the experience of the PFLP and that of the Free Syrian Army just to challenge my guest, include a more comparative analysis in our conversation, and to let him expand on what he called 'the opposition-integration dilemma'.
