Text a Message to the ShowEvery cop has a bump in the night story; sometimes those bumps happen in broad daylight. Today I'm talking to a veteran homicide and cold case detective from Kansas City named Stuart LIttlefield. Detective Littlefield was recommended to me because he's a great story teller with a great story that might actually include an encounter with a ghost. Even if you don't believe in that kind of thing, it seems that as human beings we can't get enough of those strange unexplainable stories and the detective and I talk a bit about that too.Music is by Brian BolgerHey Chaplain Podcast Bonus Episode 36Tags:Police, Cold Cases, Death, Detectives, Gangs, Gang Signs, Ghosts, Graffiti, Halloween, Hospital, Knives, Polaroid, Spooky, Kansas City, KansasSupport the showThanks for Listening! After a rollicking 2. Bundesliga season, there was lots of heartbreak for Germany's second tier sides in the relegation/promotion playoffs. Fortuna Düsseldorf blew a big lead to fail to go up to the top flight and at the other end Wehen Wiesbaden couldn't hold off Jahn Regensburg, who'll take their place in the league next year. Listen in as Nik, Maik and Jasmine wrap up all the stories from the second tier and below! --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/talking-fussball/support

I talk a lot about maximizing opportunity as I believe there is no shortage of it in this country. This episode is a prime example of it. I sat down with Angel Cortes - former L.A. gang banger turned Army Ranger, and now studying to be a registered dietician to help the type of communities from which he came from. Lots of great insight into immigration policy as well as rising up in the face of abject poverty and adversity. Fraser T Smith witnessed Stormzy's tug of war between the light and dark while the rapper recorded Gang Signs and Prayer, went with Dave to meet his brother in prison while recording Psychodrama, and was a shoulder to cry on for Adele while she recorded Set Fire to the Rain. Having been at the side of the UK's most successful musicians during their most vulnerable moments, Fraser shares them with Kathleen and Eleanor in this episode of Straight Up. Over a couple of gin and tonics, Fraser also talks to Straight Up about the one song he regrets producing, the thorny issue of freedom of speech in his studio and his craziest memory with Craig David – who hired him as a backing guitarist and was then best man at his wedding. Listen in to learn all about Fraser's signature style, his favourite songs and how he became producer to the stars. Kathleen and Eleanor also discuss Adele's rumoured new album, the just-announced Sound of 2020 list, interviewing Wiley and Lizzo's killer chat-up line to Niall Horan. First, we have another adorable Sam Quiz! Then Mike & Brian do their brief recap of their time at MagicFest Washington DC. After that we're talking about a gift that we got from a longtime listener after well over a year of work! And then we get to the main topic, going over Core Set 2020 previews! These cards are pretty nuts for a Core Set, and we're very excited to dig our teeth into them! At the end there's a bit of a tangent about year-round school vs. a huge summer break, pretty much out of nowhere. Because we're cool like that. Grime music's biggest star, Stormzy, says he's from a place "where success doesn't happen". But he's had a remarkable rise to fame. Six years ago Stormzy, real name Michael Omari, was working at an oil refinery in Southampton. Now, he's a millionaire. His success began with his debut album Gang Signs & Prayer, the first grime record to reach number one. It's not just his music that has made him a household name in the UK. During the 2017 General Election, he lent his support to Jeremy Corbyn and at the Brit Awards last year he used his fame to speak out against the Government's response to Grenfell. This summer Stormzy will be the first grime act to headline at Glastonbury, his performance to beamed to million across the world. Producer: Oliver Jones Presenter: Mark Coles
