Vi sätter tänderna i the artist formerly known as The Angry Nintendo Nerd, numera The Angry Video Game nerd som gestaltas av James Rolfe. The homeless situation in Cincinnati is starting to get serious again like in 2018. While some are pushing to sweep away homeless encampments downtown, Scott talks with Kevin Finn about why that might do more harm than good.
Scott breaks down the Tik Tok ban with Steve McKeon. Also why trying to get rid of the homeless might make the problem worse with Kevin Finn, and David Lipsky explains how climate change denial came to be a thing.

Imagine starting your own business from a back bedroom and growing it into a globally recognized company. That's exactly what our guest, branding maestro Kevin Finn, did. As a CEO, author, and speaker, Kevin has charted a journey from Dublin to the far-flung corners of Western Australia, employing a mix of determination, resilience, and a keen understanding of branding to build a successful career and business. Welcome to season two of creativity unpacked. I'm kicking off season two with a bang and bringing you the legendary internationally recognised designer and author Kevin Finn. Kevin is also an old friend of mine from our days at advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi and it was so wonderful to jump in the studio and have this chat with him. In this episode we not only unpack some epic projects Kevin has done - like the work he did for Edward de Bono but to me it's really clear that Kevin's whole life is a creative project. I am so fascinated by the way he zigzags, he takes huge leaps and risks and never ever follows a trodden path. I think he's such a pioneer. If you're someone who's feeling a little lost at the moment or maybe there's that voice inside that's quietly telling you that there's something else you should be doing or maybe a creative project that you should be starting, you're going to get a lot from this episode and Kevin's advice. You can find Kevin at https://thesumof.com.au and you can purchase his new book Brand Principals at Booktopia You can find me at The Ideas Bodega or Nicole Velik on LinkedIn

This episode was actually inspired by Kevin Finn he's written a book and been voicing his own thought and knowledge on brands, branding and design. Do you really know what a logo is all about? Everyone starting a small business knows they need something to represents who they are at a glance aka a logo. But, do you really understand the fundamental difference of a brand a logo? Everyone usually heard the good old saying your logo is not your brand? Then what is it? In today's episode I'll be discussing all things logo's.

Kevin Finn is a TEDx speaker, advisor, internationally recognized branding designer, and author who works with individuals and groups dedicated to creating a positive impact at scale. With 30 years of international experience, Kevin emphasizes that not every business is a brand, and that businesses become brands only when society says so. As an advisor, Kevin challenges his clients' assumptions objectively. He questions their identity in comparison to how their customers perceive them. In this conversation, he shares six fundamental questions that make up the basis of his brand advisory work: What value do you provide? Who are you talking to? What are you saying to them? You'll have to listen to the episode to hear the other three. This episode is sponsored by Better Help - https://betterhelp.com/futur Learn more about your ad choices. Working to have a positive impact is one thing. Working to have positive impact at scale is another. It's a pursuit that needs an attitude of aggressive optimism to last the distance, and an openness to ongoing learning to succeed. Kevin Finn is an internationally recognised designer, advisor and author who started his career in Dublin at the studio that has designed all of the album covers for U2 and was Joint Creative Director of Saatchi Design in Sydney for seven years. A self-confessed risk-taker, in 2007 Kevin moved with his now wife from Sydney to Kununurra, a remote town in Western Australia. It's where he founded TheSumOf, the independent design business he now runs from Brisbane on Australia's east coast. As the founder, editor and publisher of Open Manifesto, an independent journal focused on design, social, cultural, political and economic issues, he's interviewed thought-leaders and some of the biggest names in design from around the world. He's also recently published Brand Principles, a book focused on sharing his 30 years of experience in branding businesses. Listen in as Vince and Kevin discuss working with the godfather of design thinking, Edward de Bono, the beauty and spontaneity of authenticity, and how impact equals return for businesses. https://thesumof.com.au/ See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

What's the difference between a conspiracy theory and an accepted fact?Answer: About six months. And these days, it sure is the truth!!In this 40th episode of Season 2 of TALK JAM, we have a PACKED Political Talk segment to open:It's true that things are moving fast, so today, instead of defining a specific word or phrase, we spent our Political Talk time discussing three major developments NO ONE is talking about--we feel lucky that we found them on the Internet at all!First, a bit about South Africa, which has just filed suit in the country's highest court AGAINST ITS OWN PRESIDENT AND PARLIAMENT... here's why: https://www.trevorwinchell.com/AmericanPatriotsForum/viewtopic.phpf=110&sid=b371b375eef0870422491b8a5f3ddb54&t=5211&utm_content=13013042&utm_medium=Email&utm_name=Id&utm_source=Actionetics&utm_term=Email2. Next, here are the results of a new study in Nigeria that Ivermectin, TAKEN ALONE, treats Covid-19 BETTER than Ivermectin with HCQ and a Z-pack!https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2021/10/nigerian-study-shows-use-ivermectin-alone-treat-covid-19-effective-using-hydroxychloroquine-azithromycin-ivermectin-combined/3. Finally, we have interesting news from India--which reports that its largest province (230 million people) is now COVID-FREE. (They have virtually no new cases, and no deaths to report.) How did they do it--and for only $2.65 per household?? And why is NO ONE talking about it?https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2021/10/dr-campbell-reveals-reason-behind-indias-ivermectin-blackout/Kelly adds a bit about a prophetic word she thinks we all need to hear:https://rumble.com/vnbivf-barry-wunsch-djt-draw-your-sword.htmlIn our second jam, we turn to the lighter side--a reflection on some of the great sports stories of our lifetime, and how we personally reacted to them and what they meant to us--including the 1972 Olympics, the 1980 Miracle on Ice at Lake Placid, NY, the 2016 Cubs and the 2020 Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs. Episode 7 of Season 2 is a real treat! Today we're interviewing Scott Templeton, a young man with a big future--he's just won a baseball scholarship to Newberry College in South Carolina, and he'll be pitching for them next fall!We discuss with Scott how wanting to be 'a baseball man' when he was young has led to his devoting years to training, playing and preparing for his next steps--even to spending a summer training with his school football team... just so he could play baseball better! We especially loved Scott's appreciation for the men in his life--from his father to his coaches--who poured into him with their knowledge and skills--to make him the incredible young man he is today. Our second (short) segment is a discussion of a brand-new book that Kelly just finished reading--THE LAST DAYS OF JOHN LENNON by James Patterson, which made a profound effect on her understanding of the man--and the band--whose short lifetime was almost over by the time she knew who they were. I'll definitely be reading this book!THE LAST DAYS OF JOHN LENNON:https://www.amazon.com/Last-Days-John-Lennon-ebook/dp/B086SWDLM2Episode 7 is sponsored by FORWARD TO CAMELOT, the JFK assassination thriller novel by Susan Sloate & Kevin Finn:https://www.amazon.com/Forward-Camelot-Anniversary-Susan-Sloate-ebook/dp/B00EVWYDG0

Episode 3 of Season 2 of TALK JAM digs into the political arena again, as both segments deal with it.Our Political Talk segment is a definition of the phrase 'energy independence' and why it's so important for any country, especially ours, to BE energy-independent. In our main segment, we discuss the five-minute video Patrick Byrne posted online recently, discussing his role in facilitating a $20-million bribe to Hillary Clinton in the final month of 2015, supposedly as part of a 'sting' operation set up by the FBI. Later, he discovers it's not a sting operation, but more a control mechanism to keep Hillary--whom everyone was certain would win the election--under Obama's thumb for her entire eight-year term. Episode 37 of TALK JAM is a discussion of September 2, 2020--a great day for Susan in many ways, because it was the day on which her son received his Super Bowl ring! (He works for the Kansas City Chiefs, so of course he received a Super Bowl ring.) We discuss the general design of the ring, though we will post no photos, for safety reasons, though you can probably find it online if you look for Pat Mahomes' ring. It's really special, and we're THRILLED!We also discuss Tom Seaver, one of baseball's greatest pitchers, who also died on September 2nd, so it was a bittersweet day for Susan, who has loved baseball since she was a teenager. She actually saw Seaver pitch, and he WAS one of the greats, and here we recap his career and remember just how much he meant to the Mets, especially in helping them win their Miracle World Series title in 1969.Here's a link to the final tribute to great Mets players at Shea Stadium on the day of their final game at Shea in 2008 (Seaver's appearance is at 32:10):https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yBs6pRK1Wi0&list=FLdTBWf720eLjNB5Oh0Cv4fw&index=2&t=0s&ab_channel=MarlonMorrisThis episode of TALK JAM is sponsored by FORWARD TO CAMELOT, the time-travel thriller by Susan Sloate & Kevin Finn:https://www.amazon.com/Forward-Camelot-Anniversary-Susan-Sloate-ebook/dp/B00EVWYDG0/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=forward+to+camelot&qid=1599674393&s=books&sr=1-1And once again, thank you to all of you listening, who keep US talking, week after week; we truly appreciate your being there for us!

Show Notes: https://outdoorsonline.co/013 I had a great chance to sit down and chat with the founder of Buzzsprout about what it takes to build and grow a great podcast. Kevin provides some great tips including being not afraid to start ugly and realize that it does not have to be perfect. We hear what the best tools are for editing a podcast and for recording a podcast. We dig into Kevin’s content marketing philosophy for the Buzzprout and how they are doing a great job with their company. Show Notes with Kevin Finn Pat Flynn was one of the early podcasters that I worked with and was a big mentor for me. Kevin noted Libsyn and Daniel J. Lewis, both who were on the podcast in a past episode. We talked about the new Hindenburg video that Kevin put out. I recommend Hindenburg to anyone who wants to get a great editing software. Launch Ugly post that should help with your mind set. It does not have to be perfect. Otter.ai is one of the best service out there for voice transcription. They are killing it with their service. I have now been using Descript which may be a little easier to remove filler words. I noted Tim Rawlins youtube channel on spey casting. Dave Jackson was on here and talked about launching a podcast and some great tips. The Rodecaster pro and Zoom H6 are two great audio recording devices. The buzz cast is there podcast where they cover podcasting and the podcast world. buzzsprout.com is the best place where you can get and the Facebook group is the best place to connect. Overcast and goodpods are two great apps that provide a great experience. Bruce chard was on the Wet Fly Swing Podcast back then. You can find Kevin at buzzsprout.com Resources Noted in the Show Hindenburg Journalist is one of the best podcast editing tools online. I use it and recommend it if wanting to go above the free software out there like audacity or garage band. Otter.ai is one of the best solutions for getting a transcript for your podcast. The Zoom H6 and Rodecaster pro Videos Noted in the Show Full Transcript for the show (we will use Descript to get the transcript and add here)Conclusion with Kevin Finn Kevin Finn, the founder of Buzzsprout talks about how you can use content marketing to get your podcast out to the world. Today's TALK JAM is an exciting two-part interview with Teresa Ward, who's been studying and interpreting dreams for many, many years, as a way to bring us closer to God. Her book, GATEWAY TO DREAMS, discusses the basics of interpreting dreams and emphasizes that 'everything is about context' when understanding what particular symbols mean TO THE DREAMER. Teresa has a podcast as well, the Gateway to Dreams Dreamcast, where she discusses and interprets dreams, which can teach, prophesy or confirm (among many other categories) what's going on in your life and what your next steps might be, and warn you of upcoming challenges to prepare for now.Reach Teresa at www.gatewaytodreams.comEpisode 25 is sponsored by FORWARD TO CAMELOT, the time-travel thriller about the JFK assassination by Susan Sloate & Kevin Finn.
Today's episode of TALK JAM is sponsored by FORWARD TO CAMELOT, the time-travel thriller by Susan Sloate & Kevin Finn, about the JFK assassination, available on Kindle and paperback at Amazon and other online bookstores.Episode 23, Jam 1 is a discussion about the rioting across America in the wake of the George Floyd murder last week. Kelly and Susan have some interesting insights into not only what happened but why it happened. (Hint: Think Kristallnacht, "The Night of Broken Glass," in Nazi Germany.) Here is the link to the Officer Tatum youtube video discussed during the show https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVIhRvkT8kg&feature=share&fbclid=IwAR2IVGh5zPCqOgmgasQnyuJF0J6ucgz9it0TXGCNk2H1KzRETPURptqv8_4Jam 2 is a discussion of a new film, THE INSURRECTION, which Susan saw last week and immediately asked many of her friends to see. THE INSURRECTION is the first film depiction (that we know of) about the global power struggle that's been waged for generations, and how brainwashing women to hate men and reject marriage (ie, feminism) and normalizing alternative lifestyles is destroying peoples lives. It sounds like a science-fiction plot, but it's not; it's ripped from today's headlines and it's REAL. And when you understand that, you understand why the riots are happening and why the COVID shutdown occurred. After this recording, Kelly saw the film and found the film interesting, but it clearly had a meager budget and not a great movie (as Susan had mentioned in the podcast). As a warning, there are blood splatter scenes that catch you off guard. The script is clunky, and you will need subtitles on. We talk about a LOT of connected things, including the Bolshevik Revolution, and how WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY is an easy way to remember the people who are looking to destroy us...
In this episode of TALK JAM, we have our first special guest, John Soforic, best-selling author of THE WEALTHY GARDENER: Lessons on Prosperity Between Father and Son. This excellent book on personal finance, which John wrote for his son, has taken the publishing world by storm. From its beginning last year as a self-published finance book with unusual spiritual overtones, it has become a major success, partly due to John's own unique marketing choices. It was picked up late last year by Random House/Penguin and re-published in February in a new edition. John talks to Kelly and Susan about his journey as a broke thirty-year-old who vowed to change his financial future to his success in real estate. Then his retirement at age 49, to the writing of the book and his choice to self-publish. His journey to learn the marketing process and his incredible negotiations with his new publisher to achieve the best possible positioning for the latest version. John's candid and humble look at his writing life is a revelation; listen and learn what he learned! Here's John's website https://wealthygardener.com/This episode is brought to you by Forward To Camelot by Susan Sloate and Kevin Finn https://www.amazon.com/Forward-Camelot-Anniversary-Susan-Sloate/dp/1935970143
Episode 19 is sponsored by FORWARD TO CAMELOT, by Susan Sloate & Kevin Finn. https://www.amazon.com/Forward-Camelot-Susan-Sloate/dp/1414014880Jam #1--OUT OF SHADOWS--A conversation about the new documentary, OUT OF SHADOWS, featuring two longtime Hollywood stuntmen who discovered quite by accident that the entertainment business, and the media, have been permeated by the messages deliberately put out by the American intelligence community, something that's been going on for decades. We talk about the decades-long Operation Mockingbird and why EVERY newscaster seems to say the VERY SAME THING in the VERY SAME words... strange!! There's also some chat about why the major media figures of the 20th Century all seemed to have a background in the military... from Bill Paley at CBS to Bill Donovan, who helped Walt Disney buy the Florida swampland that became Disney World! The link to watch OUT OF SHADOWS free (HIGHLY recommended!):https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wTiCxXgrJwJam #2--What questions would YOU ask Jesus's disciples?Susan and Kelly talk about the questions they'd ask if they could, since the disciples knew Jesus better than anyone... Susan is all about the personalities, while Kelly really wants answers about the supernatural! Is it any surprise? There's also a lively talk about the new Mel Gibson movie, the sequel to his wildly successful PASSION OF THE CHRIST, which Susan has conveniently written an article about--check it out here:https://thenationalpulse.com/commentary/passion-of-the-christ-sequel-gibson/
Episode 17 is sponsored by FORWARD TO CAMELOT, the JFK assassination time-travel thriller by Susan Sloate and Kevin Finn.In Jam 1, we talk about THE NATIONAL PULSE, an online political magazine in which Susan has just published her first article about Chloroquine and its possible implications for the coronavirus. There are also some interesting correlations between chloroquine and malaria patients (Hint: malaria patients taking chloroquine show far LESS infection from coronavirus than patients who haven't taken it!)In Jam 2, we talk about favorite Easter films, including THE TEN COMMANDMENTS, THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST, SON OF GOD, and others. We also discuss the news that Mel Gibson is doing a sequel to THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST (15 years later!), once again starring Jim Caviezel as Jesus. The new version will cover the Resurrection, so it should be well worth seeing--with none of that horrible violence from the original to worry about! Also, check out the free app called The Chosen by VidAngel. An excellent series on the life of Jesus when he met the disciples. Jam 3 is a special off-the-cuff jam we recorded last week--when Susan couldn't contain herself and just had to call Kelly after being on a conference call with THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES! Hear all the juicy details here!
Today's episode is brought to you by Forward to Camelot, By Susan Sloate and Kevin Finn. https://susansloate.com/Susan's diet update today! We are so proud of her losing 28 lbs. & 25 inches! We congratulate Susan on her significant progress. We hope you enjoy our discussion of fun topics in this episode. Discussions on a visit to the incredible artwork at the Ringling Museum in Sarasota, FL as well as an exciting visit to the Thomas Edison and Ford winter retreat museum in Sarasota, FL. The location where a couple of the most famous snowbirds worked on inventions and experiments. Edison worked with Firestone at this location to come up with a way to make rubber in America. Ford and Edison vacationed together as neighbors from 1911-1930.
This episode of the Talk Jam Podcast is brought to you by the book Forward To Camelot by Susan Sloate and Kevin Finn. More information here https://susansloate.com/"Episode 11 is a full-on two-jam episode about The Super Bowl! We jam about this year's GREAT game--Chiefs vs. Forty-Niners--and then on to a jam about the Super Bowl Parade! Susan's son attended both, as a Chiefs employee, and he was not only partying like mad in Miami, HE THREW BEER to people on the streets in Kansas City in the parade--one of his best days ever! Enjoy these jams along with this--this kind of joy doesn't come along every day."
Today's episode is sponsored by FORWARD TO CAMELOT, by Susan Sloate & Kevin Finn, the time-travel novel that reminds us that 'History CAN be altered'.Today's first Jam is a (brief) update on what we now know about Megxit. It seems the Queen has told them not to use their HRH titles anymore--which might not bother Meghan, but Harry's had an HRH (for His Royal Highness) since he was born! A few reflections on who else lost their HRH and why what will life be like now for the Sussexes and what we might expect next. (Hint: Susan isn't expecting a golden wedding anniversary party.)Next, we move on to the favorite current conspiracy theory--'Q'. We talk about Qanon, where he/they came from, how it started, what it's about, who might be part of it and what we might expect from Q next. Remember, Q is really about 'the Great Awakening'--and he reminds us that Where We Go One, We Go All! You can pick up new Q drops at www.qanon.pub.Our second Jam today is about the subject of diversity among presidential candidates. Kelly is for it, Susan's against it, and she explains in great detail why diversity among presidential candidates is a disastrous idea and why she favors their being much more ALIKE. This Jam might surprise you!We close with a special note from Susan that should make all who love naval history proud; listen to the end and enjoy!
Authors, Kelly Fitzgerald Fowler & Susan Sloate talk about unique supernatural circumstances that can happen to authors while they are flushing out stories. An example being Author, Morgan Robertson, who wrote The Wreck of the Titan years before the Titanic sank in a seeming prelude of what was to come in the future. The second half of this episode is icky Jeffery Epstein stories. The man who seemed to have dirt on everyone. We hope all of those involved in any sex trafficking are brought to justice. This episode is brought to you by the novel, Forward To Camelot by Susan Sloate and Kevin Finn.
Susan and Kelly discuss Susan's bestselling novel, FORWARD TO CAMELOT, and the JFK assassination, on which it's based. Lots of revelations of things most people don't know thanks to Susan Sloate and Kevin Finn's research. That day in 1963 led to so many ramifications we still deal with today! This time travel conspiracy novel will leave you pondering the JFK assassination for years.
