Für den gebürtigen Berliner Heiko Brestrich ging es kurz vorm Start des Millenniums von seinem Heimatverein BFC Dynamo nach Probstheida. Dort spielte der damals 35-Jährige auch im Mai 2000 im Pokalfinale gegen Erzgebirge Aue für unsere Farben im Team von Achim Steffens. 2002 war für ihn dann beim VfB Schluss. Doch ist das Buch eher als gesellschaftskritischer Gegenwartsspiegel der gefährlichen Lebensumstände der Frauen in Brasilien zu beschreiben. … Patrícia Melo (*1962 in São Paulo) zählt zu den wichtigsten Stimmen der brasilianischen Gegenwartsliteratur. Nach ihrem Studium in São Paulo arbeitete sie beim Fernsehen. In ihrem sozialkritischen Werk bestehend aus Kriminalromanen, Hörspielen, Theaterstücken und Drehbüchern, beschäftigt sie sich mit der Gewalt und Kriminalität in Brasiliens Großstädten. Melo wurde u. a. mit dem Deutschen Krimipreis und dem LiBeraturpreis ausgezeichnet, die Times kürte sie zur »führenden Schriftstellerin des Millenniums« in Lateinamerika. Sie lebt in Lugano. Sandra Falke studierte Germanistik und Religionswissenschaften an der Universität Tartu in Estland und neuere deutsche Literatur an der Philipps-Universität in Marburg an der Lahn. Auf literarische Abenteuer begab Falke sich bereits im sechsten Lebensjahr in ihrem ersten Lesetagebuch. Aus kurzgefassten handschriftlichen Notizen im linierten Schulheft sind parallel zum Bachelor-, Master- und Promotionsstudium diverse Online-Formate erwachsen. Ein Beautiful Day für alle U2-Fans? Die Abkehr von der Dancemusic und die Rückkehr zu Schwarz-Weiß-Fotos statt poppiger Farben waren zwei Ausprägungen die U2 Anfang 2000 auszeichneten. Und dieser Weg schien sich abermals auszuzahlen. Denn sowohl die Alben als auch die daran anschließenden Touren konnten U2 als Erfolg verbuchen und ihren Status als größter Rockband der Welt untermauern. Die Bombe in Bono In dieser Zeit erkrankte und verstarb Bonos Vater. Der Sänger verarbeitete den Verlust vor allem im Album How to dismantle an atomic bomb und bezeichnete sich selbst als die im Albumtitel beschriebene Bombe zu der Zeit. Gleichzeitig intensivierte er sein Engagement für das Gute auf dieser Welt, was nicht allen in der Band gefiel. Wieso trotzdem in dieser Periode zwei der perfektesten Alben von U2 entstanden und wieso ein Edding-Stift für einen der one:desire-Moderatoren zu den prägendsten U2-Ereignissen des Lebens zählt wird auch geklärt.

In ihr bildet sich die an Bedeutung gewonnene Nachhaltigkeitsdebatte ab, die im Rahmen der Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) als für alle Länder verbindlicher Rahmen die nun vor uns liegenden 15 Jahre leiten soll. Diese in einem der bislang größten UN-Konsultationsprozesse beschlossenen und mit 1. Jänner 2016 in Kraft getretenen SDGs verbinden ökologische mit sozialen Zielsetzungen. Mit 17 Oberzielen und 169 Unterzielen sind die SDGs sehr viel breiter als die MDGs.Liegt darin die Chance umfassender nachhaltiger Entwicklungsperspektiven oder aber die Gefahr nur schwer überprüfbarer und schwammiger Zielmarken? Wie werden die finanziellen Mittel für diese stark erweiterte Entwicklungsagenda aufgebracht? Eine Agenda, die keineswegs nur für die nach dem DAC-System als „Least Developed Countries“ definierten Länder gilt, sondern ebenso für die gemeinhin als entwickelt bezeichneten Länder. Was bedeuten die SDGs also auch für politische Entscheidungen in Österreich und wie werden sie sich auf die österreichische Außen- und Handelspolitik auswirken?Darüber diskutieren wir in der Sendung mit Annelies Vilim und Ulrich Brand.
