At the heart of The Prophets' vision are “The 24 Essential Supply Chain Processes.” What are they? Find out, and see the future yourself. Click here The automotive supply chain isn't what it used to be. Between shifting global policies, evolving AI capabilities, and the relentless push for sustainability, the pressure is on. And if you're not thinking ahead, you're already behind. But Martinrea is ahead of the curve, and in this episode, Megan Hunter, Executive VP of Procurement and Supply Chain Operations, explains how.One of the biggest game-changers? AI. Forget spending hours digging through Google for the right supplier. AI-powered tools now make instant supplier recommendations, cut through the noise, and even challenge old-school procurement tactics. But AI isn't perfect—Megan shares the hidden risks that supply chain leaders must watch out for. Then there's supplier transparency, a topic everyone talks about but few have mastered. Why? Because transparency isn't a tech problem—it's a trust problem. Megan reveals the reality of deep-tier supplier mapping, the struggle to get reliable data, and the cultural shift needed to make transparency a reality. And let's talk about sustainability—not as a checkbox, but as a game-changing strategy. At Martinrea, it's not just about the planet; it's about saving millions. Localized sourcing? 300,000 fewer miles traveled. Smart packaging? Less waste, lower costs.Of course, none of this works without the right people in place. However, the auto industry faces a massive talent gap. Megan's solution? Don't wait for talent—build it. Martinrea is launching an industry-first supply chain apprenticeship program, pulling in fresh talent from the ground up and training them in everything from procurement to AI-driven analytics. And if you're feeling overwhelmed by all of this? Megan's advice is simple: start with quick wins. Instead of getting stuck in the complexity, take immediate, tangible steps to drive change.Themes discussed in this episode:How Martinrea is using AI to streamline supplier searches and procurementThe biggest challenges in supplier transparency and why trust is the missing linkWhy sustainability is not just good for the planet but a cost-saving strategyThe role of zero landfill initiatives in Martinrea's waste reduction effortsWhy real supply chain transformation requires cultural shifts, not just technologyHow Martinrea is addressing the supply chain talent gap with an apprenticeship programThe importance of quick wins in driving supply chain innovation and progressFeatured on this episode:Name: Megan HunterTitle: Executive Vice President Procurement and Supply Chain Operations at Martinrea InternationalAbout: Megan is the Executive Vice President of Procurement and Supply Chain Operations at Martinrea International Inc., a role she has held since December 2019. Hosts Bob Moats and Mike Wiemuth explore the concept of momentum in college basketball programs - what it really means, how it manifests, and what drives it in both positive and negative directions.Segment 1After briefly discussing recent football playoffs, they dive into defining program momentum and how it differs from game-level momentum. They explore how momentum is more about perception and emotional reactions from various stakeholders (fans, recruits, media, etc.) than purely on-court performance.Key points:Momentum is easier to identify than define - it's like "knowing it when you see it"Social media acts as an accelerator of momentum, both positive and negativeMomentum involves multiple actors including coaches, players, fans, administration, and media all reacting to events and each otherSegment 2The hosts examine specific examples of program momentum, both positive and negative:Penn State under Mike Rhoades showing positive momentum despite coaching changeMichigan's transition from Juwan Howard to Dusty MayNorth Carolina's gradual decline under Hubert DavisVillanova's struggles under Kyle NeptuneThey discuss how momentum can be affected by:Coaching changesRecruiting success/failureFan engagementMedia coverageRegional rivalriesProgram expectationsSegment 3The conversation shifts to Indiana basketball's current momentum situation, examining:Recent recruiting setbacksEarly season performance concernsProgram expectations vs realityThe challenges of rebuilding momentum at a historically prominent programThe episode concludes with a tribute to Dick Van Arsdale, former Indiana University basketball great who recently passed away.Throughout the discussion, Bob and Mike emphasize how momentum is about long-term patterns rather than individual events, and how it's often easier to lose momentum than to gain it, especially after a program's "honeymoon period" ends.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Motivated by a personal health scare and an understanding of nature's positive benefits, Kyra sought to make a bigger difference and create a lasting impact through her work. The NBL program at her school is built on three main pillars:- Academic Growth- Physical and Emotional Wellness- Community Building, which includes fostering connections with the natural community. Benefits of Nature-Based LearningThe program supports Social Emotional Learning (SEL) initiatives, with data collected from Wellness Check-ins indicating significant benefits. Students exhibit awe, joy, and 100% engagement during nature-based activities, which positively impacts their overall well-being and readiness to engage in classroom learning. The program emphasizes learning outdoors, and its benefits are evident as students transition back into the classroom environment. Outcomes of the ProgramThe implementation of NBL has led to a noticeable culture shift within the school. Behavior referrals have decreased, and there are initial findings of academic growth. The school has also established an outdoor classroom and developed lessons that integrate with the district's curriculum, enhancing the learning experience. Goals for the FutureKyra is currently awaiting final approval to conduct research on the impact of NBL at her school in collaboration with a professor from SUNY Brockport. The program aims to meet the needs defined within the City of Rochester's Children and Outdoor Bill of Rights. Future goals include incorporating more teacher preparation programs with local universities, expanding the NBL program to other schools within the district and beyond, and creating a generation of Nature Ambassadors. One of my favourite suggestions from Kyra can be found around minute 37 when she talks about Nature Portraits and Nature Names! In mentorship programs, 25% of mentored employees experienced salary grade changes, compared to just 5% among non-participants. Furthermore, DEI mentorship programs are credited by 80% of employees for fostering inclusivity, skill development, and sponsorship.Career development expert Janice Omadeke, who was one of the first 100 Black women in the United States to raise over $1M in seed funding for a tech startup, joins the podcast to dive further into the benefits for mentorship programs— for both the employer and employees.Drawing from her forthcoming book, Mentorship Unlocked: The Science and Art of Setting Yourself Up for Success and from her own experience in the defense contracting space, Janice discusses the unwritten rules of working for a contractor and how having a mentor while navigating the old boys club was critical. But finding a mentor was no piece of cake and finding the right one takes self reflection and awareness. Janice says, “If you're only focused on the shininess of someone's title, you could be missing out on a really engaging relationship.“ People may miss out on other leaders that are more accessible and really could catapult you into the next step up in your career. In this episode, Janice also touches on:Reasons your company should adopt a mentorship programThe importance of building mentorship programming that helps BOTH parties— not just oneThings to consider when building out a new mentorship program or revamping an existing oneMatching mentors with mentees: The do's and dont's The benefits of mentorship for employees Debunking myths associated with mentorship Janice can also draw from her personal experience, specifically with The Mentor Method, an enterprise software she created that transforms company culture through mentorship. While she built the software she notes, “Sometimes meaningful mentorship matches come from humans not machines. It's important to let them decide and know that they have a choice.” Hosted on Acast. Essential Learning Points:Validating your membership idea by running a pilot programThe difference between launch strategy for open memberships vs closed doorHow to generate seed money to help you develop your membership ideaThe best way to reduce the stress of a big launch and ease yourself into the membership modelImportant Links & Mentions:When the closed door membership makes senseJeff Walker's book, LaunchCreating an MVP for your membershipThe lean live launch strategyMembership AcademyThe Membership Guys Facebook GroupKey Quotes:“Your big launch event will usually be a week or two, where you're doing lots of promotional marketing activity to get as many eyeballs as possible on your launch – in the hopes that you'll get that influx of initial members.” “The beta launch can be extremely useful for helping you to ensure that you are in absolute top shape, or as close as you can get to top shape, before you open the doors to your membership. And, it has the great side effect of also ensuring that you already have people there in your community.”“If you know you need a little bit of a softer entry into the world of running an online membership, then a soft launch can work for you.”
The road toward finding success in your business can be long and complicated and requires careful planning and hard work. Sometimes, businesses fail because they don't have a proper action plan. They launch a product and hire a great marketing team but end up with only a few people buying what they are selling. They blame their marketing team. But here's the harsh reality: You've failed because your product differs from what your clients want. The key to running a successful business lies in your programs. Finally! I offer you an interview on German New Medicine (GNM) (also referred to as Germanic Healing Knowledge or GHK)!This is the work of Dr. Ryke Geerd Hamer, a body of knowledge developed after the tragic loss of his son and Dr. Hamer's resultant testicular cancer 40+ years ago.Haven't heard of it? Well, be prepared to have your sickness and disease paradigms completely blown.Heard of it but want to know more? Then tune in and stay tuned for more interviews on this topic... this area of knowledge is essential for truly taking back our health, understanding how profoundly intelligent our biological design is and how it works FOR us, never against us.Wouldn't it allay some fears when you discover that the symptoms and diseases you have been labelled with are actually biological adaptions to help you temporarily and not a lifelong sentence?Today I share with you my interview with Tanya Verquin, artist and GNM expert who has her own podcast on this very topic (see notes).Tanya's life profoundly changed after attending a class on GNM years ago and she has continued to deepen into this knowledge over the years, raising her children from this perspective and building a community of those seeking to fully understand the truth of their biological design. She teaches us that there is a psyche-brain-organ triad that can never be separated. We are whole and grokking this concept will empower you and drop the fear and trepidation that a diagnosis can bring. In this interview you will learn:How Tanya's intro to GNM (or GHK) profoundly changed her and how she raised her childrenThe origin story of GNMThe Five Biological Laws explainedThe criteria that needs to be met for the body to start a biological programThe timeline for symptoms to appear after a conflict shockHow quickly the cellular adaptations occurThat every "disease" (special biological program) runs in 2 phases, provided there is resolution - conflict active and healing phasesWhat symptoms actually areThe relationship between healing phase and conflict active phaseThe tissue groups and how they relate to the brainThe actual roles of microbes in our body and their vital role in our disease processesHow the psyche, brain, organ triad can never be separatedThe cases in which the 5 Laws of nature don't applyThe importance of finding the balance between trusting our bodies and being concerned of outer 'threats'How the the massive increase of sickness in overall society is related to 'non-biological' ways of livingThe role of nutrient depletion in hindering the biological processesMy lung storyThe place of the traditional medicinal approaches in the context of GNMWhy in some rare cases resolutions is not recommendedHow seasonal allergies are consider a 'track'The biological significance of cavitiesThe lack of access to cranial CT scansServices Tanya offersWhy changing one's self-perception is key to their healingand more! This is such an important interview and if you received value from it then please share it around!Check out my store page for discounts on various products at: https://www.sovereigncollective.org/shop/Find Tanya on Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/tanya.verquinFind Tanya on Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/pixelatedperspectivespodcast/Tanya's offerings:https://linktr.ee/pixelatedperspectivesNew Perspectives membership waitlist:https://mailchi.mp/e65a0b359126/new-perspectives-membershipOther GNM resources:https://learninggnm.com/constellations/documents/constellations_intro.htmlhttps://globalgnm.com/If you like what you heard here then please share! Athletes understand they need to incorporate strength training into their endurance programs, but are often at an impasse on how to execute. Is sport-specific strength like swimming with paddles, and doing big gear work and hill repeats enough to “check the box”? Or, should an athlete carve out time for gym-specific work like deadlifts and squats? If so, when and how much?To piece together the puzzle of combining strength training with endurance training, Sara Gross welcomes performance coach, Marilyn Chychota, to the Women's Performance Podcast. Marilyn has an exemplary career as both a professional athlete and coach. She's an Ironman winner, state champion in cycling and powerlifting, and also a competitive crossfitter. She develops personalized coaching and training plans for athletes through her business, Marilyn Chychota Coaching, and was instrumental in helping Sara Gross win two Ironmans. Today, Sara and Marilyn unpack the mixed messages that are prevalent when it comes to combining strength training and endurance training. They discuss:Knowing the strength needs for different sports and matching those to the goals of the athleteSome of the outdated myths of strength training - it will make you slower, bigger, etc.Different categories of strength training and knowing which moves and styles are best for personal goalsHow every plan should be athlete-specific; there is no “one size fits all” when it comes to strength trainingAccounting for overall Training Stress (TSS) when it comes to developing a strength training routine so that it enhances performance, and doesn't inhibit progressionImportance of strength training as we ageHow natural strength, body type, and past training experience affect a strength programThe differences between open-chain and closed-chain exercises and how they relate to an athlete's goals.Understanding the impact of strength training on endurance athletes' nervous system and hormones, impacting recoveryPutting it all together on the schedule — how and when to schedule strength around a busy endurance training schedule. A well-planned and well-executed strength plan will optimize an athlete's performance in their sport, but it needs to be comprehensive and highly individualized based on the athlete's goals, recovery, and balance between other sports.
