Greg Godovitz went from thinking that the Beatles with their odd haircuts looked wierd on their debut album cover to being heavily influenced by them as a budding singer as a kid in the 1960s. By the early 1970s, he would travel as far away as England with his first top shelf band, Fludd. This edition of The Verb is another chance to hear an extended interview with the prize winning novelist Hilary Mantel who died last year. The programme looks at her life in writing, from her struggle to publish the first book she ever wrote, the historical epic A Place of Greater Safety to the phenomenal success of her Thomas Cromwell books Wolf Hall and Bring Up The Bodies, both of which won the Booker Prize. We learn about the themes which run through all her work: the pursuit of power, fame and how it changes us, the collective versus the individual voice, and ghosts (which for Mantel are choices not made, both in her life and in her writing). She sheds light on her relationship with Thomas Cromwell, how she avoids pastiche when writing historical dialogue, and explains how working on the RSC adaptations of her Thomas Cromwell books influenced the final book in the trilogy, ‘The Mirror and The Light' which at the time of recording was yet to be published. Hilary Mantel published her first novel Every Day is Mother's Day in 1985. She won the Winifred Holtby Memorial Prize for Fludd, and the Hawthornden Prize for An Experiment in Love. On Thursday March 16th, 2017 the Hermetic Hour with host Poke Runyon will review and discuss Joseph P. Farrell's 2014 book "Thrice Greatest Hermetica and the Janus Age".This is a confusing title for a sometimes confusing book, but it is still worth our attention. Basically it outlines an historical conspiracy theory that goes this way: The Medieval Knights Templar (the first military industrial and international banking conglomerate) in collusion with the Republic of Venice launch a Roman Catholic Crusade allegedly aimed at Palestine but deflected to Constantinople to destroy and loot the Byzantine Greek Orthodox half of the old Roman Empire. The Templars are okay with this but when the greedy Pope sicks them on the Gnostic Christians (Cathars) in their own home turf, Southern France, they back out. The Cathars are destroyed. The Pope's buddy the King of France asks a loan from the Templars, they refuse him, so he and the Pope turn on them and destroy them in France. But they survive in Scotland, England and elsewhere. and they are still allied with wealthy Venice. They are an underground network, Meanwhile the Roman Church allies with Genoa, Florance and Spain. The Venetians and the Templars make it to America before Columbus (a Genoavian-Spanish agent) but Columbus plants the Spanish flag. The Templars and Venetians infiltrate England with a culture war -- infusing the English (Dee, Fludd and Shakespeare) with Hermeticism and the proxy war for the New World is on. Drake, Morgan et allia against the Spanish. What a plot! Sounds crazy but Joe has a PhD from Oxford in Medieval Church history so he is worth reading on subjects like this. Bienvenidos de nuevo a esta pequeña obra que he dedicado a los cinco elementos. En mi particular interpretación podrá escuchar cinco micro relatos de unos 8 minutos escritos por un servidor y maravillosamente locutados por abriendo los ojos. Agua, tierra, aire, fuego y éter. Para explicar un poco de que va esto voy a utilizar un texto de Johnny McClue del 2015 escrito en la web Símbolos, mitos y arquetipos que dice así: “Con el número de elementos fundamentales hay una gran disparidad de criterios, y no sostiene la misma opinión la cultura tradicional de occidente, que la de oriente. En occidente se cree que los elementos fundamentales son cuatro y en numerosas culturas orientales se sostiene que son cinco. En nuestra humilde opinión, pensamos que es mejor tratar este tema por separado pues suele causar confusión. Así que con vuestro permiso, hoy trataremos la teoría de los 4 elementos fundamentales y un próximo día ya hablaremos sobre la de cinco. Los cuatro elementos fundamentales son: Fuego, Tierra, Aire y Agua. Estos 4 elementos desempeñan un papel fundamental en la explicación de la teoría "Microcosmos-Macrocosmos", pues son ellos los que hacen posible una visión completa con la que relacionar el microcosmos humano y el macrocosmos del universo. El autor de la tesis de los 4 elementos fue Empédocles. Más tarde Hipócrates la aplicó a su teoría de los 4 humores corporales y posteriormente Aristóteles la modificó considerablemente. Aristóteles resume todos a todos los elementos en una proto-materia a la que llamaba "Prima Materia" o también "Materia Prima". Es lo que mas tarde los alquimistas llamaron "Nuestro Caos" o también "Terrón Tenebroso", que se remonta a la caída de Lucifer y de Adán. Para Aristóteles la Prima Materia se asocia a las cuatro cualidades: seco, húmedo, frío y calor. Manipulando estas cualidades , se puede modificar la composición elemental de los materiales. Es el camino para llegar a la transmutación tan deseada por todo alquimista. Por esto el trabajo del alquimista se reduce a la inversión de los elementos. La materia de la piedra pasa de una naturaleza a otra, los elementos se extraen uno después del otro y así los dominan de forma alternativa. Según una ley de Pitágoras, el espectro total de posibilidades de este mundo está contenido en la cifra cuatro. El quinto elemento, ya sería aristotélico y se trataría de la famosa quinta esencia. Se trata de una esencia que solamente puede encontrarse en un empíreo divino y por este motivo no forma parte de los 4 elementos terrestres. El hombre desde su ignorancia ha ido prestando cada vez mas atención para saber como los 4 elementos se comportaban y entre si actuaban. Sus esfuerzos se centraron en averiguar cómo se transformaban y cómo se relacionaban con las 4 estaciones y los 4 temperamentos. Estas son las conclusiones a las que llegaron en la Edad Media: - Elemento Tierra - otoño - temperamento melancólico - Elemento Fuego - verano - temperamento colérico - Elemento Aire - primavera - temperamento sanguíneo - Elemento Agua - invierno - temperamento flemático Hay algunas tesis y teorías que dan a la Tierra propiedades muy diferentes a las de el Fuego, el Aire y el Agua. Uno de ellos es Robert Fludd que fue discípulo de Paracelso. Según esta tendencia el acto divino de la creación se representa como un proceso alquímico en el que Dios obtiene del caos tenebroso los 3 elementos primarios: luz, oscuridad y aguas espirituales. Son estas aguas el principio de los 4 elementos aristotélicos, de los cuales la tierra es el mas tosco y pesado. Esta primera tierra Fludd la compara con el sedimento que se deposita en el matraz durante la destilación alquímica. Por sorprendente que nos pueda parecer, Fludd utiliza el símil del matraz para que entendamos el porqué de nuestro sufrimiento y padecimiento en este mundo que habitamos: "No debe maravillarnos que nuestro planeta sea un valle de lágrimas, sabiendo que está hecho del sedimento de la creación, por el que ronda el diablo”. En los procesos de los alquimistas, el estado final e ideal de la materia se alcanza cuando los elementos se ordenan según su grado de consistencia. En el punto central tenemos en primer lugar al Fuego y alrededor de él se posiciona el Aire. El Aire es rodeado por el Agua y en último lugar la Tierra se posiciona rodeando al Agua. Ya en los primeros albores de la humanidad se afirmaba que todos los cuerpos estaban integrados por la combinación de los cuatro elementos fundamentales. Al Fuego lo llamaron materia radiante. La Tierra recibía el nombre de materia solida. El Aire era la materia gaseosa o etérea y el Agua se consideraba la materia liquida. Esta diferenciación fue tomada por la medicina y derivo en la división de los 4 temperamentos o humores que ya hemos visto anteriormente.” Espero que sean de su agrado mis cinco cuentos donde como eran hay una varias interpretaciones y varias capas dentro de lo que aparentemente son solo historias fabuladas. When we set out to help the music industry, we had a just an idea. Greg Godovitz has been an active member of the Canadian music industry since 1964. The year 2018 marks his 54th anniversary as a musician. His recorded works with Toronto based group Fludd produced eight top ten hits including the SOCAN Hall Of Fame inductees Cousin Mary, Brother and Me and Turned 21 which have reached the amazing milestone of over 100,000 airplays. Greg went on to enjoy national success with Toronto power trio Goddo, recording and producing eleven albums and touring the country extensively from 1975 to the present.

Born in Toronto in 1951, Greg Godovitz has been an active member of the Canadian music industry since 1964. The year 2021 marks his 57th anniversary as a musician. His recorded works with Toronto based group Fludd produced eight top ten hits including the SOCAN Hall Of Fame inductees Cousin Mary, Brother and Me and Turned 21 which have reached the amazing milestone of over 100,000 airplays. Greg went on to enjoy national success with Toronto power trio Goddo, recording and producing eleven albums and touring the country extensively since 1975.

Fludd había descubierto el rosacrucismo en el continente europeo, donde había visitado Francia, España, Italia y Alemania, y en esos lugares conoció a algunos de sus primeros referentes, y posiblemente también estuvo en contacto con los Hermanos Mayores de la Rosacruz. Sea como sea, Robert Fludd fue el puente entre el rosacrucismo centro-europeo con Inglaterra.

When I starting recording season 2 back in September, I had no idea that we would find ourselves in the midst of a global pandemic. So many industries have been hit hard, especially the restaurant and food truck industry.I believe it’s critical now more than ever that we come together and support each other however possible. CHAPTER 1 One of the last true Renaissance men, physician, alchemist, and inventor Robert Fludd (1574-1637) wrote a series of books, filled with hundreds of detailed engravings, now recognized as the first fully illustrated encyclopedia. On Thursday March 16th, 2017 the Hermetic Hour with host Poke Runyon will review and discuss Joseph P. Farrell's 2014 book "Thrice Greatest Hermetica and the Janus Age".This is a confusing title for a sometimes confusing book, but it is still worth our attention. Basically it outlines an historical conspiracy theory that goes this way: The Medieval Knights Templar (the first military industrial and international banking conglomerate) in collusion with the Republic of Venice launch a Roman Catholic Crusade allegedly aimed at Palestine but deflected to Constantinople to destroy and loot the Byzantine Greek Orthodox half of the old Roman Empire. The Templars are okay with this but when the greedy Pope sicks them on the Gnostic Christians (Cathars) in their own home turf, Southern France, they back out. The Cathars are destroyed. The Pope's buddy the King of France asks a loan from the Templars, they refuse him, so he and the Pope turn on them and destroy them in France. But they survive in Scotland, England and elsewhere. and they are still allied with wealthy Venice. They are an underground network, Meanwhile the Roman Church allies with Genoa, Florance and Spain. The Venetians and the Templars make it to America before Columbus (a Genoavian-Spanish agent) but Columbus plants the Spanish flag. The Templars and Venetians infiltrate England with a culture war -- infusing the English (Dee, Fludd and Shakespeare) with Hermeticism and the proxy war for the New World is on. Drake, Morgan et allia against the Spanish. What a plot! Sounds crazy but Joe has a PhD from Oxford in Medieval Church history so he is worth reading on subjects like this. Most of you guessed it, and it's therefore one of our worst kept secrets, but we've finally put together our thoughts to bring our viewers a in-depth look at one of Nintendo's most divisive Mario games - Super Mario Sunshine. A critical and commercial success back when it released, more retrospective looks have been much more critical since then.The regular team of James, Steven and Daniel take us through the game from beginning to end – covering the development history and cultural context of the games release, the game's story itself as well as it's a rather odd emphasis on delivering a more “serious” story. The team then looks at the game's design - including the game structure, the game's platforming mechanics and the most divisive inclusion of them all - FLUDD. To close off, we discuss the game's tropical visuals, it's soundtrack and even elements of the game that were cut early in production and how they might have impacted on the game at large.We feel like we've kind of found our niche with this new format of the podcast, but those who aren't fans of Super Mario Sunshine need not to fret – we'll be back with a brand new episode in a fortnight with the traditional format.This format is new and we'll be doing them from time to time, though, so make sure to give us feedback in the comments!
