SSL has released a firmware upgrade for the popular SSL 2 & 2+ interfaces, but as George is installing the upgrade on AP's machine we make a discovery that is worth sharing. We've created a survey so you can leave your mark on what will be a one-of-a-kind mic interface designed specifically for Voice Artists. We're hoping to release it later this year, and would love your thoughts on what you like and don't like about your current rig, so we can ensure the design has as wide appeal as possible. Follow the link and let us know your thoughts now. Find it on our website... https://www.theproaudiosuite.com/ A big shout out to our sponsors, Austrian Audio and Tri Booth. Both these companies are providers of QUALITY Audio Gear (we wouldn't partner with them unless they were), so please, if you're in the market for some new kit, do us a solid and check out their products, and be sure to tell em "Robbo, George, Robert, and AP sent you"... As a part of their generous support of our show, Tri Booth is offering $200 off a brand-new booth when you use the code TRIPAP200. So get onto their website now and secure your new booth... https://tribooth.com/ And if you're in the market for a new Mic or killer pair of headphones, check out Austrian Audio. They've got a great range of top-shelf gear.. https://austrian.audio/ We have launched a Patreon page in the hopes of being able to pay someone to help us get the show to more people and in turn help them with the same info we're sharing with you. If you aren't familiar with Patreon, it's an easy way for those interested in our show to get exclusive content and updates before anyone else, along with a whole bunch of other "perks" just by contributing as little as $1 per month. In Part 2 of our discussion of Take Control of Podcasting with author Andy Affleck, we get more in-depth with the pros and cons of recording and editing your podcast on an iPad or iPhone. The trade-offs of portability vs. connectivity, where the Mac is superior, and how to bridge the two are discussed. Andy also talks about who the audience is for this book, why the timing of the release is so important, and some of the non-technical aspects of pacing yourself and your podcast. Recorded 5th May 2019 First of all deepest apologies for the very late posting of this edition - I won't bore you with the details but let's just say a holiday weekend, some life events and some work things meant I just didn't make the time to get it done as soon as I usually try to. Also there were a large amount of notes to compile regarding the “Starting Podcasting” section. Sorry, for the delay. Anyway in this episode I am joined by Guy Serle of the MyMac Podcast and more to talk about the end of Aperture, the forthcoming removal of 32 bit support in macOS and what that means for old software, the AirPod that lived, some clickbait headlines, Adobe “price rises” (or not), Chrome's dominance, a Firefox problem and finally a bit of “inside baseball” stuff about starting a podcast (on budget preferably). It is free to use and only £3.20 to unlock the “Pro” version with a few more options (although Bartender costs about £12 it does more things) I have used it to put Spotlight, Siri, Fast User Switching and a bunch of other stuff in the pop out “hidden” section. Today's guest is Neil Smiley, CEO of Loopback Analytics, a pioneer in empowering hospitals and post-acute care providers to more effectively manage care transitions and reimbursement challenges in a “pay-for-outcome” environment. Loopback Analytics's vision is to serve as the management platform that helps transform health care to a performance-based model. And they promise to provide clients with reliable, cost-effective, technology-enabled solutions to improve clinical outcomes and increase patient satisfaction.  As we know, the number of narrow networks continue to increase in this area. We'll be talking to Neil to see just how he has come up with a solution to this problem.
