How did a Ukrainian-born hustler help former President Donald Trump and his lawyer Rudy Giuliani dig up dirt on then-candidate Joe Biden and his son Hunter to influence the 2020 presidential election – a scheme that ultimately led to Trump's first impeachment? That's the question behind ‘From Russia with Lev', a new doc from MSNBC's Rachel Maddow that follows Lev Parnas, a Ukrainian-American from a less-than-savory background, who paid his way into the former president's inner circle in 2016 and quickly became Trump's “Ukraine guy.” Kara sits down with Maddow and director Billy Corben to discuss how Parnas gained access to then-POTUS Trump; the mission to take down Hunter Biden; Parnas' role in the ousting of former US Ambassador to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch; and how he eventually came out on the other side of it all. FARA Violation Scandal: Hunter Biden at Forefront with His Burisma Connection The Ukrainian energy corporation Burisma, where President Joe Biden's son, Hunter Biden, was once a well-compensated board member, has recently become the focus of renewed scrutiny amidst an ongoing impeachment inquiry spearheaded by Republicans. This past week, Burisma enlisted the services of a New York-based law firm and formally registered as a foreign agent. While this move is anticipated to stir up the political landscape, it must be noted that the company's move to register is linked to activities transacted back in 2016. Details of the engagement were made public through the federal government's Foreign Agent Registration Act database. Natalie Winters of The National Pulse brought attention to the matter through the X platform, highlighting an array of screenshots from the filings. Republicans have been fairly vocal in their suspicion of Hunter Biden's involvement; Winters even suggested it could be seen as evidence for accusations that Hunter Biden violated the Foreign Agent Registration Act (FARA), but definitive proof is still absent. According to Winters, the enlisted law firm, Cravath, Swaine & Moore, was initially engaged to ward off an investigation from the Obama administration. High-level confabs were supposedly conducted with eminent officials including Marie Yovanovitch, a notable witness in the anti-Trump impeachment proceedings. Winters provocatively asked if Hunter Biden would face a situation akin to Rudy Giuliani. The filed documents shed some light on Burisma's legal situation. Mr. Buretta, Burisma's lawyer, was hired in January 2016 to represent Mykola Zlochevsky, a key player in the company, against potential U.S. government investigations. The scope of the representation was later expanded to encompass Burisma Holdings Limited and included investigations in Ukraine that continued up to April 2017. The legal relationship between Burisma and its lawyer was governed by the same engagement letter used with Mykola Zlochevsky. The filing notes that the representation covered both 'registrable and non-registrable activities', emphasizing the complexity of the case. Fast-forward to 2022, special counsel John Durham decided to expand his prosecutorial team; one of the additions was Adam Small, a seasoned trial attorney with extensive experience in prosecuting cases related to the Espionage Act, FARA violations, wire fraud, money laundering, and cybercrime. Information from Small's LinkedIn profile indicates that he has diligently served the United States Department of Justice, investigating and prosecuting crimes involving various acts, including FARA, export control, and state-sponsored cyber intrusions. In September, the Republican-led House Weighs and Means Committee released several pivotal documents just as the impeachment inquiry against President Joe Biden was set to begin. One document appeared to lend consistency to speculations that the FBI and the IRS were investigating potential FARA violations involving Hunter Biden, particularly around lobbying for foreign entities. A key piece of the timeline was in August 2020, when Delaware Assistant US Attorney Lisa Wolfe sent a message to agents indicating a focus on 'FARA evidence only.' Interestingly, the email also had a subtext suggesting the Justice Department prosecutors effectively limiting the span of investigations on Hunter Biden; this included removing traces of Joe Biden's involvement. As reported by USA Today, Hunter Biden, who was already encumbered by charges related to firearms and an ongoing tax investigation, faced the possibility of being charged on grounds of not registering as a 'foreign agent' while collaborating with businesses in Ukraine and China. In the whirlwind of these events, the Justice Department has been recalibrating its approach towards enforcing FARA. They are re-examining the necessity for people to disclose any lobbying work they've done for foreign governments aiming to influence U.S policies. The reporting further mentioned an Inspector General's report that declared enforcement of the law being 'rare' and mostly asking non-compliers to register retroactively as foreign agents. In the current polarized atmosphere, special counsel David Weiss is determining whether Hunter Biden should have reported his international activities. Congressional Republicans insist that Biden is being treated preferentially due to his familial status. On a related note, Abbe Lowell, one of Hunter Biden's legal representatives, had previously accomplished an acquittal of another defendant accused of acting as a foreign agent. Given the intrigue around the correlation between Hunter Biden's past board membership at Burisma and the allegations associated with FARA, the legal and political implications are immense. Republicans are employing a microscope to delve into these allegations, striving to uncover any substantive infringement that might have occurred. While definitive evidence and a conclusive ruling are yet to emerge, the current situation amplifies the need for clear and indisputable rules for political and corporate connections, especially when it connects to foreign powers. As the investigation intensifies, the outcome may hold resounding implications not only for Hunter Biden but also for the wider political and regulatory landscape. A year and a half after Russia's invasion, we're looking at the state of war in Ukraine on the GZERO World Podcast. Why hasn't Ukraine's long-awaited counteroffensive been more effective? Things are going more slowly and less successfully than NATO commanders had hoped and expected, Ian Bremmer explains, based on his conversations with high-ranking officials. And although it looks like Ukraine's military has recently launched a major thrust towards the south towards the Sea of Asov, the tide of war has yet to meaningfully change. So what explains the disappointing results thus far? Is the West not doing enough to provide Ukrainian support? And if a military resolution to the conflict isn't coming any time soon, could a diplomatic solution be back on the table? To discuss all that and more, Ian is joined by former US ambassador to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch.

In this episode of The Optimistic American, host Paul Johnson sits down with Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch to discuss what led to the conflict, the current situation, and what potential future scenarios could mean for the U.S. and the rest of the world. This episode of The Optimistic American focuses on the Ukraine war and addresses the question, what does the Ukraine war mean for the U.S.? Today's guest is Marie Yovanovitch, who served as an ambassador in Ukraine and who's the author of Lessons From the Edge. Ambassador Yovanovitch talks about why, whether Russia ends up controlling Ukraine or not matters from an American standpoint. According to Yovanovitch, the U.S. is supporting Ukraine because it's in its own national security interest. Yovanovitch shares that she has come to take some of the freedoms and American democracy for granted and didn't realize that institutions are only as strong and as resilient as the people who actually inhabit and work in them. Paul believes that the single greatest thing the American Government ever did was empower the individual over itself and that it has contributed to solving big problems of human progress. Paul expresses his concern over what's happening in Russia and in China – and with their respective Governments. Quoting CIA's William Burns, Ambassador Yovanovitch shares the new role of the U.S.: not being a superpower but a pivotal power. Paul and Ambassador Yovanovitch discuss whether the U.S. should have or should have not gotten involved in the Ukraine war – and whether the U.S. should give Putin some ability to save face or not. Yovanovitch sees Ukraine as currently winning the war. She explains why that's the case and shares the views some of her military contacts have on the ongoing conflict. Paul and Yovanovitch talk about the effect a Ukrainian victory over Russia could have on other authoritative regimes and dictators. Ambassador Yovanovitch goes over some of the history of Ukraine, the revolutions that took place, her role in everything, and how we ended up where we are today. Ambassador Yovanovitch shares her thoughts on her former colleagues, and where she sees the U.S. going as a country.
Ep. No. 66 — Fired by President Donald Trump, a distinguished diplomat helps impeach him and reclaims her narrative / Marie Yovanovitch, Former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine and author, “Lessons from the Edge”. On April 24, 2019, in the dead of night, with no explanation, Marie Yovanovitch got a call from the U.S State Department, essentially removing her immediately from her post as Ambassador to Ukraine. A few days later, back in Washington DC — a shell-shocked Yovanovitch learned the extraordinary details of why she had been fired from her job and that the man behind it was none other than her boss, President Donald Trump. After the shock wore off, Ambassador Yovanovitch decided to fight back. Pilloried by the right-wing media, she publicly testified in Congress under oath during Trump's impeachment hearings, resulting in his first of two impeachments. Yovanovitch has written a fascinating new memoir called “Lessons from the Edge,” in which she systematically lays out the months-long attempts by Trump and his cronies to ruin her reputation and subvert democracy using a foreign power, Ukraine. And she describes how she seized back her narrative from the former president. As Congressional hearings cast new light on Trump's last-ditch efforts to stay in power — culminating in the January 6, 2021 riots in the US Capitol by his supporters — I'm so honored to welcome the former US Ambassador to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch. Marie Yovanovitch was at the height of her diplomatic career when it all came crashing down. In the middle of her third ambassadorship, a rarity in the world of diplomacy, she was targeted by a smear campaign and abruptly recalled from her post in Kyiv, Ukraine. In the months that followed, she endured personal tragedy while simultaneously being pulled into the blinding lights of the first impeachment inquiry of Donald Trump. It was a time of chaos and pain, for her and for the nation. Her new book: "Lessons From The Edge: A Memoir" is the dramatic saga of one woman's role at the vanguard of American foreign policy during a time of upheaval, for herself and for the country. Marie Yovanovitch will be speaking at a Salisbury Forum event on Wednesday, June 1st @ 7:00 PM at the Housatonic Valley Regional High School.

Marie Yovanovitch on Russia's war in Ukraine, her memoir "Lessons from the Edge," and the Trump-Ukraine scandal that embroiled her.
In conversation with Mitchell Orenstein, Department Chair and Professor of Russian and East European Studies, University of Pennsylvania In 2019, U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch was the focus of international interest when then-President Donald Trump and his allies targeted Yovanovitch amidst their efforts to pressure Ukrainian officials to investigate Joe Biden's family. This scandal led to the first impeachment proceedings against Trump, a major aspect of which was Yovanovitch's impassioned and steadfast congressional testimony. The child of parents who fled Nazi and Soviet atrocities, she has served in numerous senior State Department positions, including U.S. ambassador to Armenia, U.S. ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, under secretary of state for political affairs, and principal deputy assistant secretary for the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs. Yovanovitch retired from the U.S. Foreign Service in 2020 and is currently a diplomat in residence at Georgetown University's Institute for the Study of Diplomacy. Lessons from the Edge uses experiences from her life and career to offer lessons about the ways in which corruption can endanger democracy. (recorded 4/28/2022)

Former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch joins Margaret Hoover to discuss the next phase of Russia's invasion, the successes and failures of the Biden administration's response, and the potential global ramifications of the conflict. Yovanovitch, author of the new book “Lessons from the Edge,” offers insight from her decades in the foreign service, including several years stationed in Kyiv. She explains why she believes the U.S. must help Ukraine prevail over Vladimir Putin's forces to preserve the post-Cold War international order. The former ambassador also assesses Ukraine's development as a democracy, the leadership of President Volodymyr Zelensky, and how the current situation might be different if former U.S. President Donald Trump was still in the White House. Yovanovitch – who was recalled from Kyiv in 2019 after Trump allies waged a smear campaign against her and later became a key witness in his first impeachment – voices concerns about the future of American democracy, as well as about the prospect of a presidential run by Trump's former Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo. Former ambassador and long-term Foreign Service officer Marie Yovanovitch narrates with a clear purpose and a sure sense of pacing and timing. Host Jo Reed and AudioFile contributor Alan Minskoff discuss Yovanovitch's narration of her memoir on her 33 year career in the foreign service. He explains that it acts as a kind of primer for recent history, with a focus on Russia and Ukraine. Both authoritative and prescient, she supplies the backstory on how the invasion came to be. It's a compelling listen. Read the full review of the audiobook on AudioFile's website. Published by Harper Audio. The Poetic Edda is the most important collection of Norse-Icelandic mythological and heroic poetry, covering the creation of the world and the coming of Ragnarok, The Doom of the Gods. The mythological poems are an exploration of the wisdom of gods and giants, and tell of the adventures of the god Thor, against hostile giants, and rivalries amongst the gods. Many of the poems pre-date the conversion of Scandinavia to Christianity and give us a glimpse of the pagan beliefs of the North. On Today's Show:Marie Yovanovitch, former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine and the author of Lessons From The Edge: A Memoir (Mariner Books, 2022), shares her view on the situation in Ukraine.
Across nearly four decades in the U.S. Foreign Service, Marie Yovanovitch has served in far-flung outposts from Mogadishu to Moscow to her last post in Kyiv as the ambassador to Ukraine—a position from which she was abruptly recalled and then drawn into the politics surrounding the impeachment of a U.S. president. This may well have been her toughest assignment and one in which she demonstrated tremendous courage and integrity. Perhaps no one has a better feel for Ukrainian politics, relations with Russia, and the options for U.S. policy in the months ahead. Aaron sits down with Marie Yovanovitch to discuss her new memoir and the ongoing war in Ukraine. Want to listen to Carnegie Connects live? Visit our website to sign up for invitations.
Andy speaks with former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch about how she anticipates the Russian invasion of Ukraine playing out and why the fight for democracy can take decades. She explains how her parents' experience fleeing totalitarian regimes in the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany led her to join the U.S. Foreign Service, and relives her painful role as a key witness in the 2020 impeachment inquiry against Donald Trump in which she testified that the President pressured the State Department to remove her based on what she called unfounded and false claims. With war-ravaged Ukraine in the headlines every day, it's more important than ever to hear from those with firsthand experience and an understanding of the complexities of the battle being waged there. Former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch not only served as U.S. ambassador to Kyiv from 2016–2019 but also has intimate family connections to the region as the child of survivors of the Nazi and Soviet regimes. Yovanovitch is a diplomat and author with more than three decades of service in the State Department, having served as ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Armenia and Ukraine, as well as senior advisor to the under secretary of state for political affairs. She is a diplomat in residence at Georgetown University's Institute for the Study of Diplomacy and was a target of a 2019 smear campaign from supporters of the former president during the Trump-Ukraine controversy. She would go on to be a key witness during the public hearings of the ensuing impeachment trial. Her life is a testimony to the importance of transparency, accountability and integrity in government. In her new memoir, Lessons From the Edge, Yovanovitch reclaims her own narrative and recounts her childhood, immigration to the United States and journey up the ranks of the State Department. Coming from a family that faced poverty, violence and totalitarianism, she warns of the dangers corruption and democratic backsliding pose to our free society. Join us as Yovanovitch offers her perspective on the current situation unfolding in Ukraine, and tells her inspiring story of strength, bravery and honesty in the face of controversy, reminding us of how precious democracy really is. Joy Reid leads this episode of The ReidOut with one of the most high-stakes presidential trips in recent memory. President Joe Biden is embarking on an emergency mission to Europe, meeting with NATO leaders in Brussels, and then heading to Poland--a country on the front lines of the humanitarian and military crisis in Ukraine. It is perhaps the most important moment in Biden's presidency so far, a moment that will punctuate world history for decades to come. Marie Yovanovitch, former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine, joins The ReidOut to discuss. Next we turn to Ginni Thomas, who has been a steadfast advocate and defender of her husband, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, since his contentious confirmation hearing in 1991, when he faced credible allegations of sexual harassment of Anita Hill and other women. The bombshell revelation from The Washington Post and CBS that she sent 29 text messages to Donald Trump's chief-of-staff Mark Meadows promoting QAnon conspiracy theories to justify overturning the 2020 election, has now cast yet another shadow over Thomas and the supposed "impartiality" he claims to espouse on the bench. Joy Reid and our legal experts analyze these developments. Joy also critiques U.S. Senator Josh Hawley. All this and more in this edition of The ReidOut on MSNBC.
The former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine weighs in on Vladimir Putin's war against the country, as well as Donald Trump's past attacks on her character.
It's been nearly a month since Vladimir Putin attacked Ukraine, so we are taking another look at how we got here. First, an interview from 2014 with the late political scientist Karen Dawisha on how Putin and his cronies became so fabulously wealthy. She told NPR's Arun Rath that leveling economic sanctions would have been effective because Putin expected military action instead. Second, we have a new memoir from Marie Yovanovitch who was ousted as ambassador to Ukraine by President Trump and played a key role in his impeachment. She told NPR's Mary Louise Kelly it was a painful experience.
Growing up the child of Eastern European and German immigrants, former US Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch strived to fit in. Learning to navigate other cultures ultimately proved useful during her 33 years in the Foreign Service. In 2019, her diplomatic career ended after a months-long smear campaign led to her recall from Ukraine by then-President Trump. She joined David to talk about lessons learned from her parents, the on-going Russian invasion of Ukraine, her take on Putin's mindset, what it was like being attacked by a sitting president and her new book, “Lessons from the Edge.” To learn more about how CNN protects listener privacy, visit cnn.com/privacy

Marie Yovanovitch, former US Ambassador to Ukraine, testified before congress back in November of 2019 about the notorious phone call during which then President Trump trashed her to the new President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky. He commented that she would, in Trump's words be "going through some things." It was the moment that the world first heard from Yovanovich, a veteran US Diplomat who had devoted her career to serving the former Soviet Republics, and in the process becoming one the country's leading experts on Ukraine only to be dumped as ambassador because she was not perceived as promoting the corrupt interests of the American President and his cronies. She's now written a book that imparts what she learned about Ukraine and about Vladimir Putin's Russia. Lessons that are all the more important in the wake of Russia's brutal invasion. As Ukraine remains under siege and millions of its citizens flee for safety, we'll talk to Yovanovich about what those lessons were and what Americans should know about them. The former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine tells NPR a no-fly zone should be kept on the table, citing the unpredictability and ruthlessness of Russian president Vladimir Putin. Yovanovitch has written a new memoir, Lessons From The Edge. More from her conversation with NPR's Mary Louise Kelly here. #CarlNorberg #DeFria #Realnews

The Duran Quick Take: Episode 551. The Duran's Alex Christoforou and Editor-in-Chief Alexander Mercouris discuss how a freedom of information act has now exposed contacts between the US embassy in Ukraine and former Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch and the corrupt Burisma Holdings which employed Hunter Biden as a board director. Yovanovitch's Ukrainegate impeachment testimony conveniently omitted any mention of her multiple meetings with Burisma, and upwards of 160 documents referencing Burisma and the Bidens. What You Need to Know is the Democrat disaster continues. From old timer Joe to old comrade Bernie, the Democrat primary (like their party) is falling into disarray and chaos. If the Dems end up with a brokered convention (which is the only way they can stop Bernie), it will be the end of their party for 20 years. Iowa GOP Chairman Jeff Kaufmann discusses the Iowa Caucuses, trade, tariffs, farmers, and what that means for both Democrats and Republicans moving forward. John Schlafly delivers this week’s #SchlaflyReport: Antidotes Needed for Coronavirus. Wrap up: Famous phrase from Eric Hoffer — “Every great cause begins as a movement, becomes a business, and eventually degenerates into a racket.” Well-time phrase for modern moment. Our nation was founded as a great cause, a movement. It grew into the business of governing. The danger is when that business devolves into a racket. I’m struck by this when I see how fmr Amb. Marie Yovanovitch is cashing in on her diplomatic career with a seven-figure book deal. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
The other day Secretary of State Mike Pompeo excoriated a female reporter who asked him a question about Ukraine he didn't like, then President Donald Trump, male chauvinist pig-in-chief, commended him for it. "That was very impressive, Mike," Trump said at a White House event after Pompeo was introduced to applause. "That reporter couldn't have done too good a job on you yesterday, huh? I think you did a good job on her, actually." The incident Trump was referring to occurred last week when Mary Louise Kelly, host of All Things Considered on NPR, asked Pompeo about whether he should apologize to former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch, for her sudden ouster at the behest of Trump and his personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani. Angered because the interview was supposed to be about Iran, Pompeo told Kelly, "I have defended every State Department official. We've built a great team. The team that works here is doing amazing work around the world... I've defended every single person on this team. I've done what's right for every single person on this team." In a historic move, the House of Representatives presented articles of impeachment against President Trump to the Senate Wednesday. It marks only the third presidential impeachment trial in all of U.S. history. Earlier Wednesday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi held a news conference with the seven impeachment managers. The House vote to send articles of impeachment to the Senate comes as The Washington Post reports explosive new information at the center of the impeachment inquiry. New material released by House Democrats shows text messages between former Giuliani associate Lev Parnas and Robert Hyde, a Republican congressional candidate from Connecticut, in which the two have threatening exchanges about Marie Yovanovitch, the U.S. ambassador to Ukraine. In the text messages, Parnas and Hyde discuss how Yovanovitch was under surveillance. Yovanovitch has repeatedly said she felt threatened by Trump, who called her “bad news” in his now-infamous July 25 call with Ukrainian President Zelensky. For more, we're joined by Elie Mystal, justice correspondent for The Nation. “Pelosi at least thinks or hopes that there will be witnesses, there will be cross-examination, and this will be something more approaching a real trial situation as opposed to kind of just a show,” Mystal says. Over 25 years ago, Ken Starr was appointed to investigate Bill and Hillary Clinton's role in the Whitewater scandal. The probe into the Arkansas real-estate deal would eventually expand in to other controversies involving President Clinton. Five years after it started, Starr's report would lead to impeachment hearings that divided the country. This week, the Democrats continued to ramp up their impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump, subpoenaing more members of his administration and holding a closed-door deposition on Friday with Marie Yovanovitch, the former American ambassador to Ukraine. Earlier this week, the former Independent Counsel joined Fox News Rundown host Jessica Rosenthal to look back at his role in the Clinton impeachment and how that period in history compares to the current investigation into the President. On Tuesday's segment, Starr said he believed President trump showed “poor judgment” during his now infamous call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. However he does not think his behavior justifies an impeachment hearing that he feels will only divide the country and distract it from solving more pressing problems. “Impeachment is hell,” Starr said. “We should not be putting the country through this.” Starr says one lesson Democrats and all Americans should have learned from the Clinton impeachment is that American voters do not want their elections overturned. Even if the president has committed a felony. On the Fox News Rundown Extra, you will hear the full conversation with Ken Starr as he compares the case against President Clinton to the case against President Trump. He looks at politics then and now. He also speculates on the likelihood of President Trump being removed from office and what key Republican would have to cross the aisle for the scenario to happen. US President Donald Trump said Friday that the US and China have reached what he called a substantial “phase one“ trade deal in which Beijing agreed to limited measures to improve trade ties between the countries. In exchange, Trump will not move forward with another round of tariff increases against roughly $250 billion in Chinese goods that had been set to take effect on Tuesday. Who really won in this deal? The May dismissal of Marie Yovanovitch, the former US ambassador to Ukraine, is now a subject of interest to House of Representatives impeachment investigators. In prepared remarks to Congress Friday, Yovanovitch said Trump pressured the State Department to oust her. "She told lawmakers that she was forced to leave Kiev on “the next plane” this spring and subsequently removed from her post, with the State Department's No. 2 official telling her that, although she had done nothing wrong, the president had lost confidence in her and the agency had been under significant pressure to remove her since the summer of 2018," the Washington Post reported Friday. What are we to make of her testimony? Igor Fruman and Lev Parnas, two associates of Trump's personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani, were arrested Wednesday at Virginia's Dulles International Airport while trying to leave the country. They were charged Thursday with "conspiring to make contributions in connection with federal elections in the names of others, and with making false statements to and falsifying records to obstruct the administration of a matter within the jurisdiction of the Federal Election Commission," according to the Department of Justice. How bad is this, not just for Igor and Lev but for Rudy?Turkey is now in its third day of ground and air strikes against Syrian Kurdish groups who were key allies in the US fight against Daesh. How big of a mistake is this? What about the mixed messages? "Mr. Trump acquiesced to the Turkish operation in a call with Turkey's president on Sunday, agreeing to move American troops out of Turkey's way despite opposition from his own State Department and military. On Wednesday, hours after the operation began, he condemned it, calling it 'a bad idea,'" the New York Times reported. Two missiles reportedly struck a National Iranian Oil Company tanker in the Red Sea off of Saudi Arabia's coast Friday, causing an explosion and an oil spill. Saheb Sadeghi, head of public relations for the National Iranian Tanker Company, told Iranian state-run outlet Press TV that the projectiles were "possibly" launched from Saudi soil, but Tehran has not yet provided any public evidence regarding the incident. According to global ship tracking service Marine Traffic, the tanker in question is traveling south, and the Iranian government has yet to blame the strike on anyone.GUESTS:Jim Kavanagh — Political analyst and commentator and editor of The Polemicist.Caleb Maupin — Journalist and political analyst who focuses his coverage on US foreign policy and the global system of monopoly capitalism and imperialism.Dr. Jack Rasmus — Professor of economics at Saint Mary's College of California.
