Boin, who previously joined us for a mini-episode on Journey to Silius returns to talk about a little bit of Blaster Master, a lot of GIMMICK and a little more about City Hunter for the PC Engine. Sunsoft are almost as well regarded for their soundtracks as for their games, if not more so, so we have a good chat about the general sound for these games and especially the influence of Jazz Fusion and City Pop on the latter two soundtracks. These were both on the PS2 so have a very similar sound to what was in Persona 3 and especially the Digital Devil Saga games which we previously did an episode on way back in episode 4. The music by Hidehito Aoki is stunning and really pushes the SNES to its limits, there's hints of techno-industrial and early Synthwave throughout that give both games a real grimy aesthetic. It's one of my favourite RPGs on the Wii U/Switch and a real highlight in the series for me which is in no small part due to the music being exceptionally good even for a series that has notably great music as-is. Even though I don't really enjoy Fire Emblem, but the Fire Emblem stuff is more or less a bonus anyway, so I asked Nate from the 13 Sentinels episode to come back and provide some of the context for Fire Emblem that I am obviously missing. We also talk about Vagina Bones for a while because it's probably this game's biggest cultural legacy outside of the incredible JPop soundtrack. Join our Discord! Today, we're looking at the creation of the Persona series by looking at the development of Revelation: Persona, originally released for the Sony PlayStation in 1996. As part of its story, we'll revisit the creation of the Megami Tensei series itself, and talk about how the games evolved as the series carried on, leading to the creation of Persona. We'll also look at how Persona borrowed from Jungian psychology. Finally, we'll talk about our own experiences with the Persona series. يتغلب كيس ومولي على التدخلات القانونية السيبرانية ومحاولة خيانة من ريفيرا لدمج وينترميوت مع نيورومانسر، وينتهي الأمر بكيس يعيش في عالم جديد شجاعأفلام:· Escape from New York (1981)[40][41]· Burst City (1982)[42]· Tron (1982)[43]· Blade Runner (1982)[44]· Brainstorm (1983)[45]· Videodrome (1983)[46]· Repo Man (1984)· The Terminator (1984)· Brazil (1985)· RoboCop (1987)[47]· The Running Man (1987)· Gunhed (1989)[48]· Tetsuo: The Iron Man (1989)· Circuitry Man (1990)[49]· RoboCop 2 (1990)· Hardware (a.k.a. In this weeks episode we head back to ancient Japan. The Jomon period started around 14500 BC. We will look at what evidence there is of them, what they did to grow as a society, and what the differences are between them and others of around the same time.

In the back half of The Episode That Almost Wasn't, we grapple with the introduction of mini bosses into our loop as we continue to desperately try to peel back the edges of the demon fusion system. What does recarm do? Who was Tabasa? Why does the currently petrified captain of the Sky City pilot said Sky City using an old-timey ship's wheel? We look inside ourselves to find the answer. Which in hindsight was a poor place to look.

Before you write in: yes I explain Gnosticism very poorly and really should write a script to read every time it comes up but I'm laaaaazy. Also, I have not watched the anime we mention and I tacitly refuse to. Do not talk to me about it.Mothman really is just the cutest little dude. Oh, and happy April Fools. Me telling you that Atlus and Persona Team suck shit and you should pirate or otherwise steal all their games if you really feel the need to play them isn't April Fools though. We covered the early days of Atari and Intellivision, but console RPGs were really born on the NES. Join Kat and Nadia for Part 2 of the Console RPG Quest as they remember the console that gave us some of our greatest RPG franchises: Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, Megami Tensei, and more. Why was the NES such fertile ground for RPGs? And do its greatest RPGs still hold up? We answer all of these questions as our epic Console RPG Quest continues.
