And there's plenty of players on both sides worth talking about, but most can agree on the one that deserves props more than the others, is N'Golo Kante. In Music: (21:30) The female music producer is a rarity. But one that I can name and can with full chest say she is top tier, is Georgia Anne Muldrow. But on top of her powerful production, she's also a fascinating person. I want to give her some flowers on top of her new instrumental release. In the 2nd Sports segment: (40:36) With NBA fans back in arenas, they have been straight up dehumanising players in record time. What is the final solution to all of this?Lastly, in Film/TV: (55:55) Amazon have copped MGM. It's been another jam packed week of football and Rebecca & Alex are back to chat about as much Premier League, Champions League, Serie A and La Liga action as they can cram into two hours. We start with a lengthy discussion on the major news that Manchester City have been banned for two years from European competition by UEFA - we look at why this has happened, the ramifications for the club, the players, Pep Guardiola and the rest of the Premier League, the reaction of the supporters, and what Chelsea did right that Man City did wrong. Liverpool followed up a Sadio Mane inspired win over Norwich City in the league with a disappointing first leg defeat to Atletico Madrid in Europe. We delve into a classic Atleti performance, where Liverpool struggled, and whether they'll turn it around in the second leg at Anfield. VAR and dreadful refereeing also gets a lot of coverage in our chat about Chelsea's loss to Manchester United - including Harry Maguire's bizarre defence of kicking another man square in the balls. We also look at the continuing issues for Chelsea under Frank Lampard, the board losing patience, a potential return for Ethan Ampadu, and whether they should actually sell N'Golo Kante in the summer. In 'Around The World', we analyse RB Leipzig's impressive win over Tottenham, Erling Haaland continuing to dominate for Borussia Dortmund, Atalanta growing into the Champions League, Lazio's huge win over Inter in Serie A, Barcelona taking Leganes' best striker and all but dooming them to relegation - and sadly, we have to chat about another racist incident following the sickening abuse of Moussa Marega in Portugal. Plus, erections over Timo Werner, Better Call Saul, meme pronunciation, Mark in accounting, Alexa vs VAR, moving to Antarctica, Nutella up front, downer endings, sparkling water & lemon, and early Noughties pop feuds. **Please take the time to rate and review us on iTunes or wherever you get your podcasts, as it makes it easier for other potential listeners to find us. Rebecca and Alex may have had to endure loud roadworks over the weekend but at least the football has been entertaining. Liverpool went 16 points clear atop the Premier League table with a 2-0 win over Manchester United. Ole's team had their chances but were ultimately outclassed by Klopp's mentality monsters. We discuss Henderson and Wijnaldum's brilliance in midfield, Mo Salah's muscles, Alisson's celebration of the season, as well as a detailed chat about Man Utd's poor handling of Marcus Rashford's injury. Rebecca had rather less fun watching Chelsea concede a late goal to Newcastle United to lose another game, although the results of Matt Richie's corner flag kick cheered her up slightly. We delve into Chelsea's continuing midfield issues (including an extended bread analogy about Jorginho and N'Golo Kante), as well as wondering why Olivier Giroud continues to be frozen out by Frank Lampard and whether Edinson Cavani is actually the answer the Blues need. Elsewhere, Man City and Leicester City both dropped points and we chat about how not having Laporte and Ndidi respectively is affecting them, as well as Wolves' impressive comeback vs Southampton and a lot of love for Adama Traore and Raul Jimenez. We also chat about the relegation battle, as Norwich beat Bournemouth, laugh at Napoli predictably wanting to get Carlo Ancelotti back, and Ashley Young is our 'Fame or Shame' candidate this week after the news of his move to Inter. Plus, how Florian Lejeune would dispose of a dead body, the save of the season from Steve Cook, knees buckling under the weight of trophies, The Monster Ship, ducks vs canaries, coherent sandwiches, Ferraris without wheels, Royal Rumble chat, and Pogba induced migraines. **Please take the time to rate and review us on iTunes or wherever you get your podcasts, as it makes it easier for other potential listeners to find us. After an interesting Sunday night in the DICTL household, Rebecca and Alex are back to analyse that clash between their beloved clubs and whether their relationship survived it. We start at Stamford Bridge where Chelsea came out swinging but were still bested by a dogged Liverpool performance. Alex has plenty of praise for Klopp's side winning even when they're not at their best and lots of love for Adrian and Trent Alexander-Arnold, while Rebecca tries to look at the positives from the loss, especially in the second half and N'Golo Kante. Meanwhile, Man City absolutely decimated Watford 8-0, with Kevin de Bruyne and co looking inspired. While we marvel at how City bounced back after their loss last weekend, we've got to question the performances of the Watford players who definitely did not cover themselves in glory. VAR reared its ugly head once again in regards to some offside decisions this weekend so we wade into the debate once again - especially in relation to the call against Son Heung-min in Leicester City vs Tottenham. We also have plenty of praise for James Maddison, look at Leicester's top six hopes, and ask just what is going on at the heart of Spurs as they lose another lead. Man Utd were utterly dreadful against West Ham and we go all in on their 'pissy pants' attitude in this game and how much longer Solskjaer is going to last at the helm. In 'Around The World' we look at something positive finally happening against racism in Serie A, PSG continuing to impress, and we take a closer look at what's going wrong at Barcelona as they lost 2-0 to newly promoted Granada. Plus why a Didier Drogba cardboard cutout made an appearance during Chelsea vs Liverpool, updates on Rebecca's poker skills, why Mauro Icardi is like a cat broom, the first day of Halloween, and whether Pep Guardiola actually listens to DICTL. **Please take the time to rate and review us on iTunes or wherever you get your podcasts, as it makes it easier for other potential listeners to find us. So inevitably it went to extra time and penalties in Istanbul but Liverpool beat Chelsea in the UEFA Super Cup and Rebecca and Alex jumped on the mics immediately afterwards to chat about the match. On the Liverpool front, there's lots of love for Adrian who was the hero of the penalty shootout in his first full game for the Reds. And although there was some concern from Alex about the sloppiness of Liverpool's first half performance, the front three once again made the difference with two big goals from Sadio Mane and a game changing performance from Bobby Firmino which sees him compared to Leslie Knope. Chelsea's performance was much improved from Sunday's loss to Man Utd and Rebecca has a lot more positives to take away from this one. N'Golo Kante made the big difference in the midfield with an imperious performance and we discuss how Lampard has adapted the midfield three from how Sarri deployed them, as well as talking up performances from Pulisic, Pedro and Giroud. The other big talking point yet again was VAR and we delve into how they managed to screw up a big penalty call in extra time and why nobody should be placing the blame on referee Stephanie Frappart and her team. Plus, an analysis of the bizarre BT Sport punditry, discussion about why UEFA even needs this game to go to extra time, new nicknames for players, full back issues, and more. **Please take the time to rate and review us on iTunes or wherever you get your podcasts, as it makes it easier for other potential listeners to find us. Rebecca's got a cold, Alex may or may not have gout, and both Liverpool and Chelsea are coming off poor performances, so there's plenty to chat about this week. We delve into the sh*t sandwich of Liverpool's recent midfield tactics and Chelsea's refusal to play N'Golo Kante in his correct position, plus plenty of discussion on the irritants that are David Luiz and Neymar. We also take a closer look at Jose Mourinho smashing up a bunch of bottles, Claudio Ranieri winning his first match in charge of Fulham, and a fascinating La Liga title race. Also FIFA are still awful, Kevin the carrot is terrifying, and Robbie Keane has retired and gets the 'Fame or Shame' treatment. Enjoy! ***Please take the time to rate and review us on iTunes or wherever you get your podcasts, as it makes it easier for other potential listeners to find us. Thanks!***

The World Cup is over. The trophy goes to France and if N’Golo Kante’s sheepish grin can’t cheer you up, maybe some talk about Saints’ newest signings can. So, that’s what we have this week. I spoke with two podcast hosts this week to get their perspective on Angus Gunn and Jaanik Vestergaard. First, I spoke with Jon Punt from alongcomenorwich.com about Angus Gunn. Although Saints signed Gunn from Manchester City, he was on loan at Norwich last season and grew up a fan of the club. His father, Bryan Gunn was also a goalkeeper and manager at Norwich. We discuss Angus’ attributes, his ceiling, he motivation and more. We also check in on Harrison Reed and get Jon’s view on his loan spell at Norwich last season. Jon and the rest of the Along Come Norwich crew spoke with Angus’ father Bryan on an episode of their podcast a few months ago. In it, Bryan gave some more insight into Angus’s development and aspirations. The link is below if you are interested in giving it a listen.   Secondly, I spoke with Manuel Breuer of the Vollraute Abroad Podcast. Manuel (now living in London) and his colleagues (still in Mönchengladbach) present the podcast in both German and English and focus on all things Borussia Mönchengladbach. I spoke with Manuel about Vestergaard’s time at the club, what we can expect from him and what his future might look like. It has become something of a received wisdom within the present day that the mainstream media exist as the pinnacle of what is possible in sports journalism. Whilst it is not in our interest to reject this assumption, here at A Team of John O’Sheas we believe that some of the most perceptive insight regarding the top teams in the country comes from the fans themselves. In the course of this podcast series, we will be bringing together some of the most influential fans from across the Premier League to give you the low-down on the teams that they watch week in, week out. We’ll look back over the season just gone, try to get a handle on the transfer activity that rumbles on through the summer months, and look forwards to the next season which, as always, seems to creep up on us with ever increasing speed. In this episode, we’re back in London Town as we visit the club who most recently won the Premier League. You might be forgiven for thinking Chelsea Football Club were founded in 2003. That was the year that Roman Abramovich bought out the washed up London club. However, fans of the club will no doubt swiftly remind you that, before their Russian sugar daddy turned up on the scene, they had a rich pedigree and history that included a league win in 1956 and a few domestic trophies dotted around through the years… Still, you can hardly be morally scrupulous in football anymore so it’s hardly worth singling out Chelsea for mockery. What makes last season’s Premier League triumph all the more impressive is that Antonio Conte took a squad that has been emotionally ruined by Jose Mourinho and made it into a title winning side. Now cobbling together a team of players like N’Golo Kante, Cesc Fabregas, Eden Hazard and Diego Costa might not seem to be the most difficult task facing a Premier League manager. So the question is: will Conte be able to repeat the feat next season? Or will the meglomillions being spent by Premier League clubs be too much for him to think his way around? Joining us on the show today are two individuals whose names will be well-known amongst Chelsea fans: David Chidgey and Benjamin Wills. David, aka ‘Stamford Chidge’ presents and produces the Chelsea FanCast podcast, voted Football Blogging Awards Best Podcast in 2012 and 2015. He runs chelseafancast.com; writes for the most popular Chelsea fanzine cfcuk, is a weekly columnist for football.london and contributes regularly to TalkSport; BBC and ITV. He is currently the Chairman of the Chelsea Supporters’ Trust. Ben, although currently doing freelance work covering Swindon Town, tries to watch as much Chelsea as possible, which Sky Sports' top team favourability helps with immeasurably. He fell in love with the Blues, specifically Gianfranco Zola, in 2000 at the age of five which he thinks should save him from jibes of being a plastic, but that is not working out so far.

GUEST: Joe Tweeds, @JoeTweedie Part 1: Swansea City Review Chelsea 3-1 Swansea City, Premier League Saturday, February 25th | Stamford Bridge The big headlines from this match were Cesc Fabregas starting alongside N'Golo Kante, Pedro continuing his run of fine form, and Diego Costa finishes off a great move started by Eden Hazard. We tackle the Fabregas vs. Matic debate and question why Chelsea fans are so bitter after a 3-1 win? Are fans disillusioned with FIFA scores these days and forget that the Premier League is the best league in the world? We wrap up with our Man of the Match poll and the Top 6 standings in the table. Part 2: Social Media Questions Questions from social media include Pedro versus Willian, is Cesc playing like Lampard, why is John Terry learning Portuguese, and what would our starting eleven players be if we could only choose 3 senior team players? Part 3: West Ham United Preview Chelsea at West Ham United, Premier League Monday, March 6th | London Stadium As we preview Chelsea’s match against West Ham United, we look at recent results against Watford, West Brom, Southampton, Manchester City, and Middlesbrough. Bilic Seems to be barely hanging onto his job and some key matchups to watch will be Hazard/Pedro versus their outside backs, Luiz versus Carroll if he’s healthy, and even Kante versus Lanzini. The Hammers aren’t in great form so this is another chance for Chelsea to extend their lead. The big lineup question will of course be whether or not Cesc Fabregas starts again… KTBFFH Contact Us Twitter: https://twitter.com/LondonBluePod Instagram: https://instagram.com/LondonBluePod Facebook: https://facebook.com/LondonBluePod Website: http://londonisbluepodcast.com iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/london-is-blue-chelsea-fc/ --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/londonbluepod/support
