Terrified Together with Will Soto of the Red Treehouse Podcast In this Terrified Together collaboration with Will from the Red Tree House podcast, we explore two fascinating listener submissions, starting with Zach's UFO encounters in Colorado. Zach's first sighting occurred during late winter or early spring 2018 while stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic on I-70, when he spotted a massive flying wing with camouflage technology that made only its outlines visible—like the Predator's cloaking effect—slowly moving eastward toward the DIA and Buckley Air Force Base, seemingly unnoticed by other drivers despite its size and unusual appearance. His second encounter happened on July 4th of either 2021 or 2022 when he witnessed a completely silent, wingless pod-shaped craft—roughly the size of a smart car with thin brown and orange stripes like an old Winnebago—flying just above housetops near his girlfriend's neighborhood, headed directly toward Waterton Canyon and the nearby Lockheed Martin facility. We then hear Megan's enchanting story from northern Minnesota between 2005 and 2009, where as a young child visiting her grandparents' 100-acre property, she developed a mysterious habit of placing quarters and shiny objects under rocks near the boathouse, only to return the next day and discover her offerings had doubled—a phenomenon she suspected might be the work of the fae, though her family never believed her when she finally shared the story years later. About the Dyatlov Pass Incident In February 1959, nine experienced Soviet hikers died under mysterious circumstances in the Ural Mountains after cutting their way out of their tent and fleeing into extreme cold. Six died from hypothermia while three suffered severe traumatic injuries including skull damage and chest fractures, with some bodies found months later showing unusual soft tissue damage. The original Soviet investigation concluded a "compelling natural force" caused the deaths, leading to decades of speculation about causes ranging from avalanches to military tests to paranormal phenomena. Russian authorities reopened the case in 2019 and concluded in 2020 that a slab avalanche likely forced the group to evacuate their tent in panic, leading to their deaths from hypothermia and injuries sustained during their desperate attempt to survive. Recent scientific studies have supported the avalanche theory, though the incident remains one of the most enduring mysteries in mountaineering history.

On the night of August 27, 1992, Gary Wood and Colin Wright were driving south on the A70 highway near Edinburgh. As they traveled through the small town of Bonny Bridge—an area with over 300 UFO sightings annually—Colin spotted something unusual shoot across the sky. What felt like only a few seconds to them turned out to be far more significant—when they regained their bearings and found themselves inexplicably driving in the opposite direction, they discovered they had lost approximately 90 minutes of time and arrived at their friend's house well past 2:00 AM. Gary began suffering from severe, unexplainable headaches that led to extensive medical testing including MRIs, CAT scans, and even a spinal tap—all of which came back with no answers from confused doctors. Desperate for understanding, both men turned to the British UFO Research Association, which recommended hypnotic regression with Dr. Helen Walters, a qualified hypnotist and psychic. During these sessions, Gary—a hardened ambulance driver who had seen countless traumatic situations—burst into tears and had to be escorted out of his first regression, while Colin remained eerily calm throughout.
