In this episode of The Fierce Factor, I'm excited to bring you another honest conversation- this time about the realities of what it takes to build, grow, and scale a successful medical aesthetic practice. I had the true pleasure of sitting down with one of our amazing POP Leadership Academy members, Ana Trevathan, FNP-C & Owner of Premier Medical Spa of Lufkin in Texas.  Ana's journey is nothing short of inspiring, and today she opens up about her transition from a long career in surgery to becoming a thriving business owner in the aesthetics industry. We dive into Ana's story—her triumphs, challenges, and the strategies she's used to find balance between leading a business and motherhood. Ana candidly shares how she's overcome overwhelm, tackled perfectionism, and set boundaries to prioritize what matters most- although it hasn't always been easy. In fact, she shares a story about hiding out in her treatment room to escape the impending overwhelm of team questions, patient needs, and business fire drills- and the specific tactics she used to empower her team to become more self-sufficient and autonomous through systems she learned at KLC. If you've ever felt like you're struggling to balance it all, this conversation is packed with real advice. I know you'll walk away feeling inspired by Ana's authenticity, resilience, and her approach to regaining control of her life and business. Enjoy! Greg Alba joins Tara Erickson & Andrew Gordon (Cinepals) for their reaction after they covered Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes, Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes, War For The Planet Of The Apes, And 1968 Planet Of The Apes! The story takes place 300 years later. The world is now ruled by apes, and humans have been reduced to a primitive state. The protagonist, Noa, is a young chimpanzee on a quest to find the truth about his world and his people. He discovers an ancient human artifact that could change everything—technology that could give apes the upper hand in their struggle against the remaining humans. The antagonist, Proximus Caesar, a power-hungry bonobo, wants to use the human technology to rule over all apes, resembling the Tony Soprano of the ape world, only with more fur and less pasta. Noa sets out on a journey to find the truth about the artifact and his people, meeting a colorful cast of characters along the way, including Nova, a feral human girl who becomes Noa's companion; Raka, an orangutan who helps Noa on his quest; and Trevathan, a human advisor to Proximus Caesar. The twist reveals that Proximus Caesar is a descendant of Caesar, the original leader of the ape revolution, akin to Darth Vader of the ape world, only with more fur and less breathing problems. In the climax, Noa and his allies face off against Proximus Caesar and his army in a battle reminiscent of "The Lord of the Rings" meets "Planet of the Apes," but with more bananas and less jewelry. Noa defeats Proximus Caesar and destroys the human technology, preventing a new era of ape dominance, and becomes the new leader of the apes, restoring peace.  Follow Tara Erickson: Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@TaraErickson Instagram:  https://www.instagram.com/taraerickson/ Twitter:  https://twitter.com/thetaraerickson Follow Andrew Gordon on Socials:  YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@MovieSource Instagram:  https://www.instagram.com/agor711/?hl=en Twitter:  https://twitter.com/Agor711 Support The Channel By Getting Some REEL REJECTS Apparel! https://www.rejectnationshop.com/ Music Used In Manscaped Ad:  Hat the Jazz by Twin Musicom is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ POWERED BY @GFUEL Visit https://gfuel.ly/3wD5Ygo and use code REJECTNATION for 20% off select tubs!! In this roving, wanderlustrious conversation with Devon Trevathan of Liba Spirits, some of the topics we discuss include:  Why Devon has chosen to cultivate a welcoming and mindful relationship with discomfort while traveling, and how this has allowed her to become a sponge for the sights, flavors, and sensations that make different cultures and destinations unique. A working definition of “Nomadic Distilling,” which forgoes stability and a permanent facility in favor of flexibility and the ability to sample widely from multiple ingredient streams and spirits categories. Devon's thoughts on the notion of Terroir (spoiler: she don't like it) and the ability to celebrate and mash-up different spirits traditions from around the world by embracing the role of the guest or outsider. Then, of course, we explore the Liba Spirits portfolio, including a Tyrolean gin from the Dolomites, a botanical rum from New Orleans, and a first-of-its-kind American aperitivo made with a bourbon base. Along the way, we explore the perplexingly cozy lunch habits of Austrians, wax poetic on the flavor of green ants, explain why cold brew deserves a place in your next Americano spritz, and much, much more. Featured Cocktail: Jägertee Inspired by Devon's travels in Europe, this episode's featured cocktail is Jägertee, which is an Austrian winter warmer cocktail. Is it 70 degrees here in Washington, DC as I write this? Yes. But we'll just pretend that we're having normal January weather and that the planet isn't trying to kill us. To make a batch of Jägertee you'll need: 250 ml / 1 cup tea (your choice, but I'd recommend black tea here) 250 ml / 1 cup spiced rum (Austrian Strohrum is traditional, but any will do) 250 ml / 1 cup red wine 250 ml / 1 cup plum brandy, schnaps, or any other liqueur to hand 250 ml / 1 cup orange juice 2 to 3 whole cloves 1 cinnamon stick 2 lemon slices Sugar to taste (depends on how sweet your other ingredients are) Combine all these ingredients in a medium saucepan over low-to-medium heat, warm the mixture gradually until it just begins to simmer, then cut the heat, strain out the solids (or don't…you do you), and enjoy! Jägertee means, essentially, "Hunter's tea" in Austrian. Presumably, this is because, after a long, harrowing hunt, it's pleasant to warm up with a comforting, spicy, winey brew, and NOT because the Austrains endorse consuming uppers and downers before brandishing firearms. One interesting thread to follow here is that rum is extremely popular in the German-speaking world. If you go back to my interview with Brett Steigerwaldt, you'll learn about the importance of Rum verschnitt in the early parts of the 20th century, so it's not a complete surprise to me to see a spiced or flavored rum product popping up in a traditional Austrian drink.

1. Today was the Penn State Pro Day and the consensus #1 linebacker in this draft Micah Parsons blew the roof off the facility with his freakish athleticism, most notably his sub-4.4. 40. But as you know more than anyone else, the tape matters FAR more than a Pro Day for any prospect. Based on the tape alone, why is Parsons the best LB in this draft class? 2. But as amazing as Parsons is on the field, he is, to put it mildly, a headache off the field. As my friend Erick Trickel of MileHighHuddle.com noted earlier today, Reuben Foster was considered a top-10 prospect in 2017, and character concerns nearly caused him to fall out of the first round altogether…and the red flags on Parsons are even worse. How far do you see Parsons falling? 3. An increasing trend in the NFL these days is that of the so-called “position-less” defender. Last year, we had Isaiah Simmons, who was listed as a linebacker, even though he could also be a safety, part-time EDGE, ad boundary corner. This year, Notre Dame’s Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah is another such prospect. He may be universally listed as a linebacker, but many, including you, don’t see him that way. What is his best role in the NFL and how high will he get drafted because of his versatility? 4. Another outstanding LB prospect in this class is Zaven Collins out of Tulsa. He may be 260 pounds, but he moves around MUCH quicker for someone his size, is scheme versatile, and is the ultimate playmaker as he recorded four interceptions, two TD’s, one safety and one forced fumble this year alone. Would you be surprised if he ended up as the best linebacker from this class in the long run? 5. The University of Kentucky has sent two solid ‘backers to the NFL in recent years, Wesley Woodyard and Danny Trevathan. And this year, Jamin Davis hopes to add to that lineage. Davis has astronomically risen up draft boards throughout this process. 2020 was his only year as a starter, yet he absolutely broke out, totaling 102 tackles, four TFL’s, 1.5 sacks, 3 INT’s (one for a TD, the other that set up the game-clinching TD for the Wildcats in the Gator Bowl). How does Davis compare to Woodyard and Trevathan as prospects, and do you think he’ll be an even better pro than both? 6. Another prospect that has shot up draft boards due to a breakout 2020 campaign is LSU’s Jabril Cox. Cox spent the first three years of his college career at North Dakota State before transferring to LSU this past year, and he did very well down in Baton Rouge, posting 58 tackles, 6.5 TFL, five pass breakups, and three interceptions (one of which was returned for a score). The main issue with him according to Dane Brugler, is his run defense, but do you think his abilities in coverage make him warrant a higher selection given that the NFL is the ultimate pass-happy league now? 7. Our bodies are Radical. They have created ways to communicate with us and to show us when they are not in balance. This communication generally takes the form of "symptoms". Because this is how our bodies communicate with us, we need to not just treat these symptoms or suppress them. Instead we need to go beyond just treating the symptoms, to uncover their root causes. Symptoms or malfunction in any area, left unchecked or not corrected by the body, will cascade downstream into other areas, leading to more symptoms and disease. To experience radical change we must look upstream, discover what needs fixing, and fix it. identifying these root causes, we can fix what is really wrong with a person instead of just chasing symptoms. Your symptoms may stem from one, or a few, imbalances or malfunctions in your body, not directly connected to the symptoms you are feeling. This is described as Metabolic Chaos™. By addressing the root causes, we can stop using band aids that give only temporary relief and actually heal what is creating these symptoms instead.Connect with Jamie "The Gut Goddess" TrevathanWebsite: https://www.gut-goddess.com/Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/thegutgoddess/Instagram: @thegutgoddessConnect with Curiosity Junkie:Facebook Group: Curiosity Junkiehttps://www.facebook.com/groups/621323495403041Instagram: @ACuriosityJunkieWebsite: https://curiosityjunkie.comLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/cassie-brown-burton-6884b01a1Podcasts: Apple Podcasts - https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/curiosity-junkie/id1524533820IHeartRadio - https://www.iheart.com/podcast/269-curiosity-junkie-69198584/Spotify - https://open.spotify.com/show/1CQGb5bbp9s3iXzZvcqVSTSupport the show (https://paypal.me/chatecass)

Abstract: Modern techniques for estimating basal levels of electroactive neurotransmitters rely on the measurement of oxidative charges. This requires time integration of oxidation currents at certain intervals. Unfortunately, the selection of integration intervals relies on ad-hoc visual identification of peaks on the oxidation currents, which introduces sources of error and precludes the development of automated procedures necessary for analysis and quantification of neurotransmitter levels in large data sets. In an effort to improve charge quantification techniques, here we present novel methods for automatic selection of integration boundaries. Our results show that these methods allow quantification of oxidation and reduction reactions, for multiple analytes, both in vitro and in vivo. Copy rights belong to original authors. Haha hit on Bellamy Danny Trevathan Suspension reduced on appeal to just 1 game... Jon Gruden on Trevathan Hit… “I don’t want to see anybody get hurt,” Gruden said. “It was a vicious hit, but not to be politically correct, you’re supposed to run to the ball. We used to tell our receivers, if you want to run an inside breaking route, if you want to fight for yardage after the catch, you better be careful because these defensive players, they’re on the hunt. I think some of these receivers that are running these quick screens and these inside breaking RPOs [run/pass options], they need to get down, personally. I’m not blaming Davante Adams but I think there’s two ways to look at it. I’ve always coached energy, hustling, rushing to the pile, and if it is wiggling, you do hit it. Because guys are fighting for yardage, and sometimes you’ve got to give up the ball because of one inch. Inches matter. That’s why they measure first downs. That’s why they have a crew down there with those chains. So I’m a little sensitive. I thought Trevathan made a great play. Obviously, what he’s hitting, the surface, below the neck, all those things, I’m totally agreeing on. But I thought Trevathan made a heck of a play and unfortunately a man got hurt.” Week 5 In-depth discussions: Cam Newton Discussion, Women in Football/Perspective Extra Effort Hits: Not necessarily late but are they necessary? Watch for these plays next game you watch, especially during piles. Does the NFL need to change rules on late-ish hits? He’s all wrapped up. There was absolutely no reason for that dirty play. I thought that should’ve been an automatic ejection with a massive penalty There is certainly inherent risk in playing football. But the defender launched himself, leading with his head, at a ball carrier who was already going to the ground; a hit that was penalized for unnecessary roughness. Players should have at least a decent level of respect for the safety for others on the field. Watch it full speed tho .. I don’t think he intentionally aimed at his head ... the game is a very fast game.. you can’t always control what you hit The slow mo always makes it look as if things like this are intentionally done.. it was a hard hit yes but I don’t think he was out to hurt the guy Completely agree that his intentions were not to injure! We will definitely bring that point up in our podcast conversation on Monday! Thanks for the comments bro. Love having these conversations.  He shouldn't be lowering his head and Adams knows that fighting for extra yards in the middle of the field is dangerous in the NFL. That LB was already committed to the hit before Adams was going down. Probably didn't intend to hit the head but definitely went in full speed as hard as he could. My God! As an AT this is just one of many reasons I would never let my kid play football
