Nigeria's energy transition plan is a critical part of its commitment to sustainable development and climate action, as it outlines Nigeria's ambitious pathway towards achieving net-zero emissions by 2060. Launched in August 2022 by Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, it focuses on expanding renewable energy, reducing dependence on fossil fuels, and increasing energy access for its rapidly growing population. The COP29 theme, “In Solidarity for a Green World,” underscores the need for global cooperation, equity, and support for countries like Nigeria, which are navigating the dual challenges of energy access and climate mitigation. This theme emphasises the need for a united front in addressing climate change, with particular attention to equity and solidarity. For Nigeria, this means leveraging international partnerships, technology transfer, and climate finance to accelerate its transition towards cleaner energy sources. This podcast explores the country's journey, challenges, opportunities, and the role of international collaboration in achieving a greener future. It will also discuss how Nigeria's plan aligns with the broader objectives of COP29, including global decarbonisation efforts and supporting developing countries in their transition to sustainable energy.

Terry Wolfe discusses the proliferation of gnosticism, the new age, and theosophy in alternative and independent media. It seems that apparently much of the "truth movement" or "trutherism" itself is gnostic, new age, theosophy and is part of the deception which paves the way for and initiates the true new world order that humanity will embrace. The Great Awakening is the theosophical Age of Aquarius. New age and occult ideas such as "Christ Consciousness," quantum spirituality, and one-ism (see Dr. Peter Jones of truthXchange) are seeping into churches and society and this is intentional. The Aquarian Conspiracy is an "open conspiracy" that works through a "network of networks". The goal of the "new or Aquarian age" is to fuse all beliefs into a new inclusive and tolerant universalism meanwhile eliminating any exclusive or "intolerant" faith (e.g. biblical Christianity). Terry lays out his thesis of the coming collapse and Green World Order. Michelle Ephraim – a Professor of English and (with Caroline Bicks), the cohost of the Everyday Shakespeare podcast and the co-author of Shakespeare, Not Stirred: Cocktails for Your Everyday Dramas – joins us this week to talk about her frank and funny new book, Green World: A Tragicomic Memoir of Love & Shakespeare. Michelle reveals she discovered Shakespeare surprisingly late; how “fun” is a a perfectly fine description of her sometimes fraught memoir; the shared curse of meeting hero Stephens; how Shakespeare became a source of both pain and solace in the wake of a parent's death; how her relatively cushy job became surprisingly hazardous; and, finally, how Shakespeare – a dead European white man – became a very relatable force for inclusion. (Length 19:31)
Land enclosure. Wildlife management. Erosion. Pollution. Mining practices. Today, we'd call these environmental issues. But, hundreds of years before the modern environmental movement coalesced, these issues also appeared in Shakespeare's plays. We talk to Todd Andrew Borlik, a professor at the University of Huddersfield and author of Shakespeare Beyond the Green World, Drama and Ecopolitics in Jacobean Britain, about ecology and environmentalism in Shakespeare's works. Shakespeare Beyond the Green World, Drama and Ecopolitics in Jacobean Britain is out now from Oxford University Press. From the Shakespeare Unlimited podcast. Author and Shakespeare scholar Michelle Ephraim joins Daniel Ford on Friday Morning Coffee to chat about her memoir Green World: A Tragicomic Memoir of Love & Shakespeare. Caitlin Malcuit discusses the infamous incident where a door plug flew off a Boeing plane mid-flight and the death of whistleblower John Barnett, who raised concerns about Boeing's practices. She also explores the challenges faced by whistleblowers and solutions that can support them in the face of retaliation. To learn more about Michelle Ephraim, visit her official website. In her new memoir, "Green World," Shakespeare scholar Michelle Ephraim tells the story of how she came to Shakespeare relatively late in her education. Although she didn't grow up with Shakespeare, Ephraim became transfixed by "The Merchant of Venice" as a grad student. In particular, she found herself drawn to Jessica, Shylock's daughter, and the mysteries of their relationship. That curiosity led Ephraim to discover a novel Biblical interpretation of some lines from the play as she researched her dissertation. In Ephraim's memoir, "Merchant" refracts through the changing dynamics of her own family, as her Holocaust-survivor parents age and she becomes a mother herself. She shares her story with host Barbara Bogaev. Michelle Ephraim teaches Shakespeare at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts. She's the co-author of a cocktail recipe book called Shakespeare, Not Stirred, and the co-host of the Everyday Shakespeare podcast, both with Caroline Bicks. Her memoir Green World: A Tragicomic Memoir of Love & Shakespeare won the Juniper Award for Creative Nonfiction, and is out now from University of Massachusetts Press. The Green World by Hal Clement audiobook. The planet was an enigma. Among the thousands of inhabitable planets that had been discovered and visited, Veridis alone seemed to defy the laws of planetary development and evolution. It was extremely young, barely 10 million years had passed since it was completely molten and yet now it was covered with life of all kinds; kinds that should have not had a chance to even begin to develop, much less reach their current stage. To investigate this anomaly among the stars, a team of experienced specialists was sent out to delve further into the mystery and if possible, solve it. Other than the obvious fields of planetology and geology, other specialties were included like paleontology and archaeology. The highly dangerous flora and fauna of the planet do not help at all. So, what is the cause? It lies deeper in the Green Planet than anyone thinks and is much more dangerous than they can ever imagine.

This is a repost from 2nd Smartest Guy in the World's Substack.CO2 is the gas of life.CO2 induces plant life.CO2 is not a control knob for climate; there is simply no legitimate research that can demonstrate that CO2 in any way impacts global temperatures.PSYOP-CLIMATE-CHANGE is nothing more than the depopulation of carbon-based lifeforms.China is anti- “Green” World Order, not even bothering to install inexpensive cleaning scrubbers on their coal plant stacks that eliminate nearly all pollution. We currently have far too little CO2 as per this important chart:Current 421 ppm levels of CO2 are minuscule. At around 150 ppm of CO2, life on earth essentially dies. But as the CO2 increases, it's almost as if the planetary terraforming operation is accelerating in plain sight.“Climate change” is nothing more than the penultimate Technocratic power grab to usher in the 4th Industrial Revolution via the Great Posthuman Reset. It is a total reality inversion just as PSYOP-19 was and continues to be en route to PSYOP-22 and all of the other bio-fascist scams that will be increasingly blamed on “climate change”.Blaming the gas of life (and carbon-based lifeforms) for all things “climate change” is truly the ultimate sleight of hand. There is to date not a single legitimate research study that definitively proves CO2 has a single negative impact on anything whatsoever. Every research study to date is fear-mongering speculation and nothing more. The scientific “consensus” that is often cited by brainwashed Death Cultists is a public relations propaganda campaign run by the MSM that always excludes the greater consensus of the more qualified scientists that have all called b.s. on this scam. This “climate change” operation that went from the fear of an ice age in the 1970s to anthropogenic global warming (AGW) to today's exceedingly vague label dates back to the Club of Rome, a shadowy “nonprofit” funded by the Technocratic cabal that has been since the 1960s slowly and methodically seeding this murderous program.Life Without Oil is NOT AS SIMPLE AS YOU MAY THINK. Renewable energy is intermittent electricity from either breezes or sunshine. Climate change might possibly impact humanity, but a mandate to live without the products manufactured from oil will mandate lifestyles of the 1800s, the horse and buggy days. This is the greatest threat in our lifetimes to civilization's eight billion residents.See RobertYoho.substack.com for the complete essay. Is farming meant to be continued or brought to a complete halt? What is the ground swell of opinion towards this new green revolution? And, how is monkeypox being used now that it's being promoted? Why As You Like It now? We cover many possible answers to this question, but also take some long, healthy bird walks into other topics both relevant and irrelevant as we make our way through those thoughts. We also dive deep into the New Oxford edition's notes on AYLI (because it gets real sexist real quick) and attempt to unravel the printing mystery of why there is no quarto edition of this play. We gossip a little bit about the ethics of book reviews in Shakespeare journals and how Jon Snow…err…Kit Harrington is playing Henry V right now, once again disproving Aubrey's claim that “no one's doing the Henrys right now.” This episode is our season 5 finale; watch out for extras released during our hiatus, but otherwise we will see you for season 6 this fall. A post-pandemic recovery will need more than just an economic multiplier: It will require a complete reset. Post-COVID economic principles must prioritise resilience and inclusion. The pandemic has had a disproportionate impact on the most vulnerable, and the restart of the global economy will have to take this into account. Watch this first: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7RgyLDVlAg4&ab_channel=MarijnPoelsFormer London banker Alexander Pohl worked for years for one of the world's greenest banks. Idealistically driven he financed big wind and solar farms genuinely convinced he was making the world a better place. Gradually he woke up to the fact that today's green is a broken system. He gave up banking and emigrated with his family to his little forest paradise in remote, northern Sweden. The dream was to get back to Nature, start an eco-farm and put as much distance as he could between his family and the industrialization of nature.Until….. A wind park was planned at the gates of his paradise garden. Now he campaigns to reveal the corruption that has become endemic in our world from the pharmaceutical industry, the "green" movement, industrial agriculture and food production, digitisation and beyond. With a mission to help contribute to the collective wisdom that will live humanity back out of the mess that was intentionally created for it and to take our rightful places back in the Garden of Eden, Alexander has a positive view that as long as we all give our best, live a positive and purpose filled life and stand up against those that try to keep us from this, we don't need to worry what comes next...
“I'll Meet You Here” The New York-born Dar Williams has been crafting some of the most engaging music of the last 30 years. A graduate of Wesleyan, Williams got her start in the early '90s in Boston. She had moved there to pursue a career in theater, but inspired by contemporaries like Throwing Muses and Melissa Ferrick, Williams starting writing songs of her own and she hit the ground running, knocking out cassette-only efforts like I Have No History and All My Heroes Are Dead. Her proper full length debut The Honesty Room came out on her own label Burning Field Music and found her a fan in Joan Baez who not only later recorded some of Dar's songs, she invited Williams to tour with her. With almost 20 albums under her belt, including The Green World, Mortal City, My Better Self and her new one I'll Meet You Here, Williams has established herself as one of the most enduring and endearing songwriters out there. She's toured with Patty Griffin, Shawn Colvin and Ani Di Franco, recorded with everyone from John Prine to Clifff Eberhart and she formed the group Cry Cry Cry along with Richard Shindell and Lucy Kaplansky as vehicle to honor their favorite folk numbers. An environmental activist, an educator and an author of several books ranging from YA to urban planning—her book The Tofu Tollbooth is an essential directory of natural food store-- Dar Williams kind of does it all. I'll Meet You Here is her first new album in 6 years and it's a refreshing blast of rootsy rock, introspective folk and horn-tinged Americana. This record is a melodic blast of utter musical joy. A playful lyricist who can also be so emotionally exact it's like a direct sucker punch, Dar Williams is one of our very best.
The Read with Carylee Show brings the love of literature to children and gives a peek behind the scenes by evoking the joy of reading, helping children interact with authors, and displaying the hidden talent of these authors who may be living in your community. This episode will read Tutu Goes Green by Tulani Thomas. ✅ ABOUT THE STORY: TuTu Goes Green is a book that teaches children how to live green through the wide eyes of an adorable little girl named TuTu. TuTu explores the world of green living from a child's perspective, learning the meaning and importance of traditional "green" concepts like reduce, reuse, and recycle while spreading the message that children can contribute to saving the environment. In this fun and engaging book, children will learn that small changes to their daily routines, such as recycling old notebooks, turning out the lights, and using reusable shopping bags, can play a huge role in helping the environment. ✅ ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Tulani Thomas was inspired to write children's books ten years ago while starting her family and practising corporate law. "I knew that I wanted to raise my children with that green ethos. As I was able to stay home after my first child and look to populate his library with diverse characters and messages that complement what I was teaching him at home, I was hitting a wall, and I said, why don't I go and write a book? I know other mothers trying to raise environmentally friendly children are also looking for a tool like this." She decided the best route forward would be to form her own publishing company and establish a green lifestyle brand to fill the void. TuTu's Green World, LLC was born. Can we game our way to a sustainable future? There are now more than 2.6 billion active users of video games around the world, meaning the gaming industry reaches one in three people on the planet. So, can this huge virtual community be inspired and mobilized to fight for a greener world? Apparently yes - and this is already happening! In this episode we find out how an alliance of gaming companies is introducing environmental issues into popular games and how tech pioneers are using extended reality (XR) to highlight sustainability topics in new ways.
The Ideal GM, what is it and why does it exist. Saul and Jolene discuss the idea of having a player compare their GM from their past and comparing them to the current GM usually in a way that conveys that current GM does not measure up. Usually this is a player that has been playing a good amount of years. On the other hand it could be a new player that has seen popular actual plays and wants or expects their games to be just like that! As always thank you all for listening and please share our podcast. Music by Soosu, song The Mountain Breeze of Nostalgia, off the album Green World. Available at Tribeofnoise.com
When people think of a Green New Deal their head immediately runs towards industrial policy; building solar powered cities, dumping fossil fuels, having sustainable public transport and good Green manual jobs. That's what we need to save the world from itself and we all need to get involved to do so. If that's the case then why are the majority of those industries dominated by Men? When the traditional "breadwinner" heads out to build the Solar farm who's looking after his family? His children, his elderly parents? Are these roles not vital too? Women make up the majority of the work force in care, education, health, unpaid domestic work, where is their GND? Why are men not seen as being the child rearers and carers of the frail? Why are we only fixating on one part of the economy if we are attempting to save the planet? Joining us this week to discuss The Feminist Green New Deal is Maeve Cohen. Despite billions of public dollars going toward education, health care and infrastructure projects as part of the federal stimulus package passed earlier this year, unemployment in the U.S. is higher than it has been since the early 1980’s. Of the $780 billion stimulus package passed earlier this year, nearly $80 billion has been set aside for ‘green’ projects, such as upgrading regional utility grids, increasing the energy efficiency of buildings and manufacturing solar panels and wind turbines for renewable energy installations across the country. Some are saying that this is merely the start of what is our best hope for creating new jobs in the U.S. What’s the next step? Passing climate and energy legislation that would further support green manufacturing jobs based on renewable energy, clean technology and energy efficiency investments. This episode, we are joined by Jeff Rickert, Director of the AFL-CIO Center for Green Jobs who talks about how the new energy economy is our best hope to revitalize American labor so we don’t get left behind in the global clean tech markets of the future.[Music: Sonny Clark, "Cool Struttin" from Cool Struttin' (Blue Notes Records, 1958) and Billy Bragg and Wilco, "Way Over Yonder in the Minor Key" from Mermaid Avenue (Elektra, 1998)]
