David Rothkopf and Joanna Coles dive into a week of extraordinary political turmoil, from alarming warnings about Donald Trump's reshaping of America's national security apparatus to growing fears over the future of democratic institutions, the intelligence community, and a rapidly escalating Middle East crisis. Along the way, they unpack protests erupting overseas over Trump-linked business ventures, the fallout from Trump's explosive confrontation with NBC's Kristen Welker, and the stunning upheaval at 60 Minutes that has veteran journalists questioning the future of independent media. With sharp analysis, insider reporting, and plenty of the chemistry that makes their conversations so compelling, Rothkopf and Coles connect the dots between power, corruption, media intimidation, and a changing political landscape—culminating in a provocative discussion about why so many Americans seem unwilling to confront what they see as the defining crisis of the era.  Learn more about your ad choices. Hamza Abu Howidy returns for another Conflicted Conversation. Last time he appeared, he told us his personal story of growing up in Hamas-ruled Gaza, how he was imprisoned and tortured by Hamas for speaking out against their oppression, and how he entered into exile in Germany just before the 7 October attacks changed everything. This time he switches from Gaza to the West Bank, telling Thomas all about the other side of Palestine — a side which goes overlooked, but which is increasingly becoming a zone of almost unbearable conflict. Hamza and Thomas discuss: Settler violence as settler terrorism How Israeli settlements undermine the Oslo process Settlement expansion as a strategy to prevent a Palestinian state The shift from a two-state ideal to a one-state reality The Hardal movement and Smotrich's political world The Hilltop Youth: origins, ideology and violence The dual legal system in the West Bank The Yehuda Shmuel Sherman incident and the revenge attacks that followed E1 and the threat to a viable Palestinian state The West Bank economy after 7 October Palestinian municipal and national elections Israeli elections and the lack of hope for political change Israel's post-7 October security doctrine The Board of Peace and the problem of Hamas disarmament Arab disillusionment with resistance ideology Find Hamza on X: https://x.com/HowidyHamza Join the Conflicted Community here: https://conflicted.supportingcast.fm Find us on X: https://x.com/MHconflicted And Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/MHconflicted And Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/conflictedpod Learn more about your ad choices. EPISODE DESCRIPTION Today's combined transcript paints a picture of a country under multiple stress lines at once—political conflict over immigration enforcement, accelerating corporate relocation driven by legal risk, escalating accusations of federal fraud in spending programs, and rising instability in global energy and security dynamics. Across all segments, one theme repeats: institutions are being challenged—by protesters in the streets, corporations in boardrooms, watchdogs in federal agencies, and geopolitical actors abroad. SEGMENT 1: IMMIGRATION SHOWDOWN IN NEW JERSEY Tensions escalate around ICE detention facilities in New Jersey, where federal and state narratives sharply diverge over conditions, protests, and enforcement. Supporters of the facility argue it is being properly managed, legally compliant, and necessary for immigration enforcement. Critics and protest groups are described as escalating pressure campaigns to force shutdowns. The broader conflict reflects a familiar national pattern: local jurisdictions, federal agencies, and political leaders all asserting competing authority over immigration enforcement zones. At the center is a deeper question—who ultimately controls access, safety, and enforcement when federal facilities sit inside politically divided states? SEGMENT 2: CORPORATE AMERICA'S “COURTS, NOT TAXES” MIGRATION A major theme today: corporations relocating headquarters are increasingly citing legal jurisdiction—not taxation—as the deciding factor. Executives and analysts point to growing concerns over: unpredictable jury awards politically charged litigation environments inconsistent legal standards across states and “judge shopping” strategies used by both plaintiffs and defendants ExxonMobil's move from New Jersey to Texas is highlighted as a major example, with leadership emphasizing regulatory and legal predictability over traditional cost savings. The broader argument: companies are reorganizing around federal court geography, choosing states where legal outcomes feel more stable and business-aligned. Florida and select Texas jurisdictions are repeatedly referenced as preferred destinations due to perceived legal consistency. SEGMENT 3: FEDERAL SPENDING, FRAUD CLAIMS, AND GREEN ENERGY GRANTS Sharp accusations emerge around federal spending oversight, particularly involving environmental and “green energy” grant programs. Former and current officials cited in the discussion claim: large-scale fraud or misallocation in federal spending systems billions routed through nonprofit intermediaries limited oversight once funds are distributed beyond initial federal transfer Specific grant programs tied to climate and infrastructure funding are described as structurally difficult to audit once dispersed through multiple organizations. At the center of the debate is whether federal spending mechanisms have adequate controls—or whether layered nonprofit structures reduce accountability. These claims remain politically contested but are fueling renewed calls for audits, clawbacks, and enforcement actions. SEGMENT 4: BUDGET DEFICIT AND FRAUD REDUCTION DEBATE Senior officials and policy voices argue that significant portions of federal spending may be vulnerable to fraud or improper distribution. Estimates cited range in the hundreds of billions annually in potential waste or fraud, with arguments that stricter eligibility enforcement could materially reduce the deficit. The policy debate centers on two competing visions: aggressive enforcement and restructuring of eligibility systems versus maintaining existing program structures with incremental oversight improvements The conversation reflects broader fiscal anxiety about long-term debt sustainability and federal spending integrity. SEGMENT 5: GLOBAL ENERGY PRESSURE AND STRAIT SECURITY DYNAMICS International developments add another layer of instability. Oil markets are described as highly sensitive to geopolitical t ...

He has helped to form a group of European parliament members who are all calling and lobbying for one thing - creation a European Defence Union - basically, the European version of NATO, without the United States. Built so that Europe can fight and defend itself on its own - in the case that the U.S. would not come to its aid when necessary. This is something that many experts have theorized and called for before, but this is the first time someone in Europe is really trying to turn it into reality - which is why it's both a fascinating and exciting but also extremely complicated and difficult endeavor - but if they succeed, it would have immense consequences, for Europe and for the world. And so we talk about what a European Defence Union is and how they want to turn it into reality, whether they can succeed or who is doing its best to stop them and much more.

The conversation erupts as Andy and Tanner Coleman tackle America's urban crisis—homelessness, teen crime waves, addiction, and the fallout of weak leadership in cities from Denver to D.C. Is public order spiraling out of control, or can bold action turn the tide? Then, Denver's sports dreams crash as the Broncos, Nuggets, and Avalanche suffer devastating playoff blows. Guest host Andy Peth and Jerzee Joe pull back the curtain on stories the mainstream media seems to miss, delving into allegations of news cover-ups, political protection, and suppressed scandals. The debate heats up as sanctuary state policies, media bias, and alleged Medicaid fraud take center stage. A fiery defense of voter ID laws from a Chicago woman electrifies the hour, while Andy and Joe confront what they call the “bigotry of low expectations.” The pair raises provocative questions about the Biden White House, mysterious executive orders, and who's really calling the shots in Washington. The hour ends with a hard look at soaring Medicaid costs, taxpayer outrage, and the specter of fraud in sprawling government programs. Colorado Republican infighting erupts in Hour 3 as Andy Peth and Eli Bremer expose the high-stakes clash between ideological purity and real-world political strategy. With the party's future hanging in the balance, they ask: How will Republicans move the needle? The debate intensifies with sharp takes on Colorado's assembly-versus-primary battles and national figures like Thomas Massie and Marjorie Taylor Greene, whom Eli slams for putting grandstanding over results. Andy challenges activists to grasp the brutal reality for Republicans in swing districts. Andy and Eli discuss a path to real conservative wins as the hour ends with a stark warning: conservatives obsessed with “perfect votes” risk handing power to the opposition. True leadership, Eli argues, means strategy, compromise, and coalition-building, because victory requires more than ideals alone. Guest Timestamps 1:12 — Eli Bremer https://x.com/elibremer

Matt and Doug discuss signs of consumer strain in the U.S.—record-low sentiment, rising delinquencies, and high prices—alongside a stock market at all-time highs, comparing the disconnect to historical episodes like Germany's 1923 hyperinflation. They argue official inflation measures are unreliable, deficits and money printing persist, foreign holders are cutting U.S. Treasuries, and gold benefits while mining stocks remain cheap; Doug remains long gold, oil, and commodities and warns the AI/data-center boom may be a debt-fueled bubble. The conversation turns to widening inequality, debt-based consumption tools, weaker job prospects even for top graduates, and fears of social unrest and potential civil conflict. They criticize what they describe as escalating corruption under Trump, including a DOJ settlement structure and extensive trading disclosures suggesting insider activity, then discuss elections, AIPAC/Israel influence, speech taboos, and rising generational and ethnic tensions. 00:00 Everybody Wants Love 00:08 Economy vs Market Highs 01:34 Sticker Shock in America 04:28 Inflation Numbers Doubt 05:57 Treasuries to Gold Rush 07:12 Mining Stocks and ESG 08:36 AI Data Center Bubble 10:32 Haves and Have Nots 12:08 Buy Now Pay Later Living 13:23 Decades of Debt Warnings 17:10 Trump Corruption Claims 17:50 DOJ Settlement Slush Fund 24:25 Insider Trading Allegations 25:50 Epstein and Ukraine Talk 28:59 Elections and Voter Trust 32:17 Israel Influence and AIPAC 36:38 Hate Speech and Taboo Topics 40:32 Tribalism and Protected Classes 44:22 Civil War and Generational Rift 47:22 Wrap Up and Next Guest

Explosive allegations rock the political world as gubernatorial candidate Ram Reddy fires back against accusations from allies of Ralph Norman, while conservatives warn about rising extremism, China's growing influence inside America, and GOP civil war tensions in Washington. From assassination attempt conspiracy theories to climate change backlash and Senate Republican infighting, today's episode covers the political chaos shaping 2026. PODCAST SUMMARY Today on AmperWave Daily, the hosts dive into a fiery interview with South Carolina gubernatorial candidate Ram Reddy, who forcefully rejects claims that he is a political “plant” for South Carolina House Speaker Murrell Smith. Reddy accuses supporters of Ralph Norman of spreading false attacks while portraying himself as an outsider willing to “throw a grenade into the swamp.” The conversation expands into broader political warfare, touching on accusations of anti-Trump sentiment among establishment Republicans, disputes over redistricting, campaign financing, and growing voter distrust in career politicians. Hosts discuss internal GOP battles involving Senate Republicans, including criticism aimed at John Thune and John Cornyn over their relationship with President Donald Trump and the America First movement. The episode also explores controversial rhetoric surrounding antisemitism, political extremism, and radical statements allegedly made by Democratic candidates. The hosts argue that Democrat leadership has failed to decisively condemn inflammatory behavior within its own ranks, while warning that ideological radicalization is accelerating nationwide. In another major segment, the show examines public distrust in media after polling showed many Americans questioning whether the attempted assassination of President Trump was real. Hosts blame declining trust in traditional media, AI-generated misinformation, and online conspiracy culture for America's fractured perception of reality. The discussion later pivots to China's influence in U.S. politics and economics. The hosts claim the China and the Chinese Communist Party have strategically benefited from climate change policies, energy restrictions, and left-wing activist networks in America. They also criticize establishment Democrats for alleged ties to Chinese-linked organizations and warn about long-term geopolitical consequences. Finally, the podcast tackles renewed fears surrounding pandemics, mRNA vaccine controversies, and media narratives around emerging viruses. Hosts express skepticism toward pharmaceutical companies, government censorship, and public health institutions while reflecting on the lingering fallout from the COVID era. Tara and Lee expose growing concerns over Chinese influence in American politics, climate narratives unraveling, mRNA vaccine fears, and the Democrat Party's collapsing support among men. Plus: Iran tensions, censorship revelations tied to the Biden administration, and why some believe America is approaching a dangerous cultural breaking point. PODCAST SUMMARY Today's show unpacks what Tara calls “America's reality crisis” after polling shows a shockingly low number of Americans fully believe the Trump assassination attempt actually happened. The conversation explores collapsing trust in media, AI-driven misinformation fears, and the impact of hyper-partisan politics on public perception. The show then pivots to allegations of growing Chinese Communist Party influence inside the United States, including claims involving Democrat fundraising networks, activist organizations, and congressional politics. Tara and Lee also revisit the climate change debate following discussion around recent IPCC reporting and decades of controversial environmental predictions. Additional segments cover concerns surrounding mRNA vaccine development, censorship tied to COVID-era narratives, and accusations that media institutions suppressed dissenting voices. California stands at a crossroads. In this powerful episode, Lewis Herms joins Michael Jaco to discuss his campaign for Governor of California and why he believes the state — and the country — are facing a critical turning point. Known for his outspoken advocacy for constitutional rights, election integrity, medical freedom, and government accountability, Herms shares his vision for restoring California through transparency, economic revival, public safety, and returning power back to the people. The discussion covers a wide range of issues impacting Californians today, including: Government corruption and political accountability Election integrity and public trust Economic decline and the rising cost of living Energy independence and resource management Medical freedom and the lasting impact of COVID policies Border security and national sovereignty The role of global influence and centralized control in American politics Why many Americans feel disconnected from their own government Herms argues that California has become a symbol of failed leadership, growing bureaucracy, and policies that increasingly place pressure on working families, small businesses, and individual freedoms. Throughout the conversation, he lays out why he believes grassroots movements, citizen engagement, and strong leadership are essential if California is going to reverse course. The episode also explores larger geopolitical and economic issues affecting the nation, including global conflicts, energy markets, technological control, and the growing battle between centralized power and constitutional freedoms. At its core, this conversation is about reclaiming accountability, restoring public trust, and challenging systems that many believe no longer serve the people they were designed to represent. Whether you live in California or simply care about the future direction of America, this episode offers an unfiltered look at the political, economic, and cultural battles shaping the country right now.

Blake Schofield works with successful leaders and founders who feel drained, unfulfilled, and like their success doesn't feel the way it should—even though everything looks right on paper.   After 18 years as a top-performing Fortune 500 executive—including turning around a $130M business at Target from –25% sales to positive growth for the first time in over a decade, delivering $7.5M in profit over plan, and building a new division at Stitch Fix to a 75,000-person waitlist in 11 months—she realized something most high performers don't see:   They're not actually solving the root problem—and it's not because something is wrong with them. So they change jobs, start new businesses, go to therapy, hire coaches, or push through… but nothing actually fixes it. Because the issue isn't effort or capability.   Episode Summary:   Blake Schofield spent 18 years climbing the corporate ladder at Fortune 500 companies — leading turnarounds, scaling new divisions, and delivering results most executives only dream of. But behind the impressive résumé was a pattern she couldn't shake: six to nine months of excitement with every new role, followed by burnout, drain, and the nagging feeling that something was still missing.   What she discovered in the years that followed changed everything. The problem wasn't the jobs, the bosses, or the industry — it was misalignment. And after investing over half a million dollars and tens of thousands of hours into understanding why traditional approaches fall short, she developed a framework around three core areas of misalignment that keep talented people stuck.   Key Takeaways:   - Changing jobs doesn't fix misalignment - Your natural wiring is unique - Most of our beliefs were formed before age 7 - Environment matters more than we think - Asking for help is a strength - Trust the unsettled feeling   Episode Chapters:   [00:00:00] — Cold Open: The Power of Beliefs  [00:00:48] — What You'll Learn Today [00:01:08] — Welcome & Guest Introduction [00:02:22] — Blake's Story: From Psychology to Corporate to Burnout [00:05:03] — The Breaking Point at Stitch Fix [00:07:30] — The Misalignment Framework: Why the Same Cycles Keep Repeating [00:10:41] — Misalignment #1: How You're Naturally Wired to Thrive [00:14:59] — Misalignment #2: Beliefs and Conditioning [00:17:37] — Shining the Mirror: Blake's Coaching Philosophy [00:19:11] — Misalignment #3: Environment [00:20:53] — Who Blake Works With [00:21:20] — What Inspires Blake [00:23:31] — Blake's Podcast: Impact with Ease [00:25:39] — The Entrepreneurship Wake-Up Call [00:29:35] — Final Takeaways from Blake [00:30:52] — Outro & Show Close

On this episode of the podcast, Amanda Head questions President Trump in the Oval Office about the cost and affordability of IVF before welcoming foreign policy expert Dr. Walid Phares for a deep dive into the growing tensions in the Middle East.Dr. Phares speculates that Trump's recent meeting with Iranian generals may have involved discussions connected to opposition figures inside Iran, while warning that many in Washington still fail to fully understand the intentions and survival tactics of the Iranian regime. He sharply criticizes Tehran's long history of oppression, terrorism funding, and crackdowns on its own people, contrasting it with what he describes as Trump's more direct and strategic approach. The conversation also explores whether the United States should actively support Iran's opposition movement, particularly younger generations pushing for change from within. Dr. Phares predicts the current standoff could reach a critical turning point by mid-June, arguing that allowing tensions to drag on may carry major political consequences both abroad and at home.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Three cases at distinct stages of the legal process raise overlapping questions about evidentiary standards, investigative procedure, and institutional accountability. In Los Angeles, David Anthony Burke faces first-degree murder charges with special circumstance allegations of lying in wait, financial gain, and murder of a witness in connection with the death of fourteen-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. The charges carry the possibility of the death penalty, though the DA's office has not yet made that determination. Burke has pleaded not guilty, and his defense team maintains he did not cause Celeste's death. The People's Brief filed by prosecutors outlines allegations of a sexual relationship beginning when she was thirteen, a killing allegedly motivated by career preservation, and months of alleged evidence destruction. In Idaho, Bryan Kohberger's guilty plea to four counts of first-degree murder foreclosed any judicial evaluation of the chain of custody dispute now raised publicly by a former defense expert. The Ka-Bar knife sheath carrying Kohberger's DNA allegedly had documentation that was retroactive and legally insufficient. The victims' families have filed a civil lawsuit against Washington State University. In Indiana, Richard Allen's defense team filed a reply brief and requested oral arguments before the Court of Appeals, arguing the trial court committed constitutional error by excluding alternative suspect evidence, admitting involuntary confessions, and blocking the defense from presenting a complete case.Robin Dreeke and Tony Brueski take listener questions on the legal standards at stake in each case, the procedural distinctions between pre-trial, post-plea, and appellate proceedings, and what these cases collectively reveal about the American criminal justice system.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video?
