News:Mad Cave Studios has partnered with Lucasfilm Publishing to tell new, original stories set in the Star Wars galaxy via graphic novels via the former's Papercutz imprint that's aimed at middle-grade readers. The first two -- Star Wars: Smugglers and Scoundrels -- The Race for Jabba's Bounty and Star Wars: Tales From the Outer Rim -- The Legend of Beggar's Canyon -- are due out Sept. 15 and Oct. 13, respectively. Creative teams on the books are Cavan Scott and Christian Colbert and Greg Pak and Brent Schoonover.Marvel to debut Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge -- Echoes of the Empire #1 (of 5) on April 22. It's by Ethan Sacks, with art by Jethro Morales and Roi Mercado. Also coming in April and May? Darth Vader, Leia Organa, Han Solo, and Luke Skywalker will arrive on Batuu. The Galactic Civil War and New Republic, as well as the Age of the Resistance and First Order will be represented. The Original Trilogy characters will be mainly around the spires and Millennium Falcon, while the forested area near Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will be the Age of Resistance. And that is a real shame, because while this movie isn't high-class theater, it's considered a favorite Yuletide watch for kids of the 80s and 90s.So meet us at the Orlando Children's Museum with Santa's magic sack as Tim Williams and guest co-hosts Laramy Wells and Retro Robby discuss “Ernest Saves Christmas” from 1988 on this episode of the 80s Flick Flashback podcast!Here are some additional behind-the-scenes trivia we were unable to cover in this episode:​The scene where Ernest visits his friend Vern's house was filmed on Residential Street at Disney's MGM Studios in Hollywood. The house façade gained popularity as a notable feature on the Backstage Studio Tour when the theme park opened in 1989. In 2005, the entire street was demolished to make way for the Lights, Motors, Action! Stunt Show Spectacular.
