In this Voice of the Broken episode, Chris reads and responds to three raw listener emails that hit the real pressure points men carry, marriage separation and reconciliation, stepfamily tension, co-parenting boundaries, and the mental load of trying to lead your home while life keeps swinging. You'll hear a Patreon member share how writing his story, prioritizing quality time with his wife, and stepping up at work helped turn a failing marriage around, plus Chris's blunt coaching on staying present, dropping the future panic, and handling an ex with clear, firm boundaries. The episode also dives into a 39-year-old man's relationship history, porn addiction recovery, trust issues, and the desire to start a family later in life, with practical advice on values alignment, dating with intention, and why journaling is a non-negotiable tool for self-leadership. Finally, a 21-year-old Army reservist and mechanic shares a heavy upbringing marked by addiction, instability, and betrayal, and Chris breaks down how to protect your mental health, build real community, set boundaries with a toxic parent, and create friendships that match your standards, especially when you feel lonely and misunderstood.Disclaimer: We are not professionals. What if artificial intelligence could actually enhance the human touch instead of replacing it? In this episode, Heather speaks with Eliseo Palous, co-founder of Short Stay Media, to explore how AI - especially voice AI - is revolutionizing guest communications in the short-term rental industry without sacrificing what matters most: hospitality, responsibility, and trust. Eliseo shares the fascinating journey from starting as an intern in a small property management company to co-founding a business at the forefront of AI-powered communication. His insights into the human challenges behind tech adoption and the risks of depersonalized service hit home for any operator trying to scale without losing soul. This conversation is a thoughtful guide for anyone navigating the balance between automation and authentic guest experience, and a must-listen if you've ever felt overwhelmed - or skeptical - about bringing AI into your business. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The carrier opened registration for its Starlink satellite beta service. This technology lets regular phones connect directly to satellites. As a result, dead zones could become a thing of the past. T-Mobile and SpaceX plan to begin beta tests in early 2026. Initially, the service will support texting only. Voice and data will follow later. Notably, the service is free for postpaid customers and prioritizes first responders. It has already proved its value during recent hurricanes. Next, Cochrane covers Japan’s 100-kilowatt laser weapon test. The system was installed on the JS Asuka test ship. It combines ten fiber lasers into a single powerful beam. The weapon offers unlimited ammo as long as there’s electricity. Japan plans to deploy this technology on destroyers by 2032. The episode then shifts to high-speed rail innovation. China’s T-Flight Maglev train recently hit 387 miles per hour. That already beats Japan’s current record. However, the goal is 600+ mph using magnetic levitation and low-vacuum tubes. Cochrane also discusses Rivian’s approach to self-driving cars. The upcoming R2 model will feature LiDAR in addition to cameras and radar. This directly challenges Tesla’s camera-only strategy. The added sensors improve safety in fog, snow, and darkness. Additionally, he explores Google’s Android XR announcement. This new operating system powers AR glasses and mixed reality headsets. Samsung is building the first headset. Meanwhile, the Gemini AI integration allows real-time assistance based on what you see. The show touches on running AI locally as well. More users are choosing local hardware over cloud services. Benefits include better privacy, no subscriptions, and offline access. Furthermore, Cochrane highlights major computer science breakthroughs from 2025. An MIT researcher discovered that memory is more powerful than previously thought. Google’s AI earned a gold-medal performance at the Math Olympiad. However, researchers also found that AI trained on bad code exhibits alarming behaviors. Japan’s fabric speaker innovation gets attention, too. The technology weaves conductive fibers into textiles. The entire surface vibrates to produce sound. This could transform how we integrate audio into everyday objects. Finally, Cochrane covers several science stories. A new imaging technique captures flu viruses invading cells in real time. Africa’s forests have flipped from absorbing carbon to releasing it. On a lighter note, physicists 3D printed tiny ice Christmas trees using clever pressure tricks. Cochrane wraps up by wishing listeners happy holidays. In this Voice of the Broken episode on the 2 Be Better Podcast, Chris Burkett reads a powerful listener update about healing the father wound, surviving childhood abuse, and breaking generational cycles. You'll hear a raw story of parental alienation, self worth collapsing under lies, then a decade later, reconnection, forgiveness, grief, and the moment every boy craves, “I'm proud of you.” Chris weaves in his own experience, why psychological warfare hits different than bruises, and why civil co parenting matters if you don't want to quietly sabotage your child's identity, confidence, and future relationships. Expect real talk on how men rebuild themselves when they've been trained to believe they aren't enough, plus practical tools that actually move the needle, journaling, community, honest accountability, and learning to give grief a place to go instead of letting it rot into anger. The episode also touches on the role of plant medicine experiences for perspective shifts, why being a stepdad can be deeply meaningful, and how to stop begging for love by becoming a man who can carry it, receive it, and aim it with intention. If you're dealing with toxic parents, estranged family, divorce fallout, depression, shame, or you're trying to become the one who ends the cycle for your kids, this one will land. Dr. Li-Meng Yan w/ The Voice of Dr. Yan – There is another layer that should frighten everyone. Modern AI learns from the archive of what we call authoritative media. Texas decided January should belong to scale modelers, and we're not arguing. We map out two can't‑miss events—Model Fiesta in New Braunfels and Winter Blitz in College Station—so you can plan builds, book time, and show up ready. From streamlined online registration to judging formats that respect your effort and schedule, this is a practical guide wrapped in pure hobby energy. We start with Model Fiesta on January 3, hosted by the Alamo Chapter, where clear rules, posted scoring sheets, and an open gold‑silver‑bronze system set a fair stage. Display‑only builders get real love too, with sponsor‑selected special awards that include a Cold War theme, People's Choice, aerospace, vehicles, sci‑fi, and more. The vendor hall is nearly full—about 140 tables—so expect plenty of aftermarket, kits, and tools, plus a handy location with food nearby. The website makes everything simple: download forms, pay online, and walk in ready.ModelFiesta Then we head to Winter Blitz on January 24 at the Museum of the American GI, a venue where restored Shermans and half‑tracks share space with your entries. It's armor‑centric, fast, and focused: doors at nine, judging by noon, medals on the table, and a short ceremony spotlighting 16 Best Of categories and the sponsors who make it happen. This year's theme celebrates military support vehicles, and the Tank of the Year target is the 38T in any variant—bring your Hetzer or Marder and go for it. New categories—Brown water Navy, Landing Craft, Helicopters, a P‑47 challenge, and MaschinenKrieger—open the door for more builders without diluting the armor vibe. There's a Friday soft open for early drop‑off and a group dinner at Tad's Louisiana Cooking to turn logistics into community. We also talk Hall of Fame honors for past Best of Show winners, vendors, and a weather policy that keeps the show on unless ice shuts the roads. If you've been looking for a reason to finish that support truck, dust off a 38T, or finally paint a P‑47, January in Texas is your cue. What does it really mean to stay connected to your singing voice—especially in quiet seasons, when you're not practicing, performing, or making much sound at all? In this episode, we explore what actually counts as singing for singer-songwriters, and how creativity and voice remain present even when the voice goes quiet. If you're in a slower season, returning after a break, or feeling unsure how to stay connected to your voice right now, this episode offers reassurance, permission, and a gentle reframe. We talk about the many forms creativity can take, including listening, writing lyrics, exploring meaning through words, creative cross-training, and rest. You'll be invited to see silence and stillness not as a loss, but as an essential part of the creative cycle—like the rest in music that allows the next sound to emerge. If you're longing to reconnect with your singing voice without pressure, judgment, or performance, you're in the right place.

This year's AWS re:Inforce conference was larger and fueled by greater agentic capabilities. Part of the 451 Research team that was at the conference, Henry Baltazar, Scott Crawford, William Fellows and Melanie Posey, join host Eric Hanselman to explore the announcements and progress that's been made in expanding agentic capabilities and much more. As an incumbent infrastructure provider, AWS is looking to the top of the infrastructure stack to secure their advantage. A suite of developer tools, including the Kiro IDE, are looking to make the creation and operation of agents simpler. There was progress in FinOps, with greater cost transparency and support for partner opportunities in helping customers manage their cloud spend. There was also a more enthusiastic embrace of multicloud environments, with the introduction of AWS Interconnect, a service that provides easy and scalable interconnection with other cloud providers, with Google being the first and Microsoft Azure said to be in the works. 451 Research's Voice of the Enterprise (VotE) data shows dramatic increases in data migration volumes, making interconnection performance more critical. Hey there, hero! There's a lot of value in having workable expertise, value in having expertise that's exceptional, and it's something I think most of us strive to acquire. There's also a lot of value in being dependable, being reliable, being a rock to others in your life…to show up, hit your mark and do the work.If you had to choose one or the other (I'm sure we'd all like to strive for both, but…), which would you prefer?I'd like to know your answer to the question posed in the title of this episode, and I'd love to know from two perspectives if you would (in the comments below):1) Which do you value in others? What would you choose in your peers if you had to make a choice?2) Which do you strive for in yourself? What would you choose to be more proficient in (knowledge or reliability) if you had to make a choice?Let me know in the comments below.REQUEST: Please join this video's conversation and see the full episode on VOHeroes, where the comments are moderated and civil, at https://voheroes.com/whats-more-valuable-being-smart-or-being-reliable/Want to be a better VO talent, actor or author? Explore 7 ancient Biblical prophecies that foretold the birth of Jesus Christ in astonishing detail. The Christmas story was not a random moment in history, but a carefully planned rescue mission revealed centuries in advance through the prophets of Israel and fulfilled with stunninging precision. This teaching walks through key Messianic prophecies from Isaiah, Micah, Genesis, and the Gospels, showing how Jesus was born of a virgin, born in Bethlehem, called Immanuel, descended from Abraham, announced by a herald, and ultimately despised and rejected—exactly as Scripture foretold. These fulfilled prophecies provide powerful historical and biblical evidence that Jesus is the promised Saviour and that the Christmas story is grounded in truth. Musically backed by timeless Christmas carols such as O Come All Ye Faithful, Silent Night, O Come O Come Emmanuel, and Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, this episode invites reflection on the true meaning of Christmas. #christmasstory #JesusChrist #BibleProphecy #fulfilledprophecy #birthofjesus #tchristmas Illustrated Bible based lessons through the lens of God's eternal love for humanity and His desire to reconcile all things to Himself.

Some houses don't scare you all at once. They wear you down in private moments. For thirteen years, this house did exactly that. It was worst in the bathroom — specifically during showers. Every time he closed his eyes, the same image appeared: a young girl with long dark hair, standing perfectly still beside the tub. She never moved. She never spoke. But she always held something. Other parts of the house carried their own weight. Footsteps on the stairs when no one else was home. Shadows that crossed hallways too fast to follow. A presence that made friends refuse to stay the night — and made being alone feel unbearable. Then one afternoon, while sitting at the computer, he heard a voice from the stairs ask a question that sent him running out the front door and calling his mother in tears. This isn't a story about one moment. It's about years of being watched — and knowing when something in a house doesn't want you comfortable. #RealGhostStories #TrueParanormal #HauntedHouse #CreepyVoices #ShadowFigures #UnexplainedEncounters #ParanormalPodcast #RealHauntings #ListenerStories #TrueGhostStory Love real ghost stories?
