In this special summer edition of the Remarkable Retail podcast, hosts Michael LeBlanc and Steve Dennis return to the mic for a jam-packed Month-in-Review episode. With interviews from the CommerceNext Growth Show rolling out all summer long, the duo takes a break from the regular cadence to reflect on the key developments dominating retail headlines.Kicking things off, Michael and Steve catch up on their summer travels, from retail safaris to personal DIY projects, before diving into on-the-ground observations from recent store visits. They note intensified promotional activity, flagging department store performance, and struggling retailers like Kohl's—whose housekeeping and inventory issues speak volumes about the deeper structural challenges facing legacy banners.A major theme is the ripple effect of evolving tariff policies. Steve breaks down the shifting landscape of trade "deals"—or lack thereof—impacting everything from apparel to automobiles, including the end of the de minimis clause that could reshape the business model of players like Shein and Temu. While retailers have largely absorbed tariff costs for now, Q4 pricing and profitability are big question marks, particularly for cash-strapped players. The conversation turns to macroeconomic conditions and a surprisingly resilient U.S. consumer. However, Steve warns against viewing “the consumer” as a monolith, emphasizing growing bifurcation between income brackets. The luxury market underscores this divide—Hermès continues to thrive, while Gucci and more aspirational brands struggle, and Saks Global faces mounting losses and vendor tensions. The episode also unpacks Amazon's latest earnings, with standout 23% growth in ad sales, despite investor jitters around AWS and an uncertain outlook.Other hot takes include AI's expanding role in customer interaction, the controversy around American Eagle's “gene/jeans” ad featuring Sydney Sweeney, and the headline-grabbing soap opera surrounding Hudson's Bay's failed resurrection attempt in Canada.Looking ahead, Michael and Steve preview August retail earnings, the fall retail conference season, and the ongoing evolution of AI-enabled search. About UsSteve Dennis is a strategic advisor and keynote speaker focused on growth and innovation, who has also been named one of the world's top retail influencers. He is the bestselling authro of two books: Leaders Leap: Transforming Your Company at the Speed of Disruption and Remarkable Retail: How To Win & Keep Customers in the Age of Disruption. What's it like to be the voice that gets you up that brutal hill during a runDisney race? In this milestone episode, we pull back the curtain with Disney entertainer Jodi Chase, who reveals the method behind the "annoying" character she portrays alongside her race course partner Angie. "We're trying to be as annoying as possible so that you will not want to stop," Jody laughs, explaining how this strategy actually helps distract exhausted runners from their pain.Beyond her hill-side encouragement, Jodi takes us through her fascinating 30-year Disney career spanning iconic experiences from Citizens of Hollywood to World Showcase storytelling. She shares how she met her husband (fellow runDisney announcer John Pelkey) at Universal's Horror Makeup Show, and details her unexpected journey into race announcing. The conversation reveals the remarkable stamina required to keep high energy for hours while motivating thousands of runners in all weather conditions. "When it's sideways rain, we've got to go in, no ifs, ands, or buts about it," she explains about typical protocol, "but we felt so bad... we were just yelling at people as they're running by, making hopefully people laugh in those little moments where they were just like 'this is the worst thing ever.'"We also explore Jodi's passionate work founding A Better Life Pet Rescue, a foster-based organization she ran for two decades, saving countless animals from euthanasia. Meanwhile, the hosts share their Springtime Surprise registration experiences, summer training challenges in record heat, and welcome Jake and his 8-year-old son Teddy for a heartwarming Race Report Spotlight about their Fenway Park 5K benefiting veterans.Whether you're curious about the people behind those encouraging voices on course, looking for motivation to push through summer training, or simply want to feel connected to the broader running community, this episode bridges the magic of Disney entertainment with the heart of the running experience. What happens when a stay-at-home mom in Indiana gets so fired up about injustice that she starts a movement that changes America? Shannon Watts, founder of Mom's Demand Action and author of the instant New York Times bestseller "Fired Up," knows exactly what it feels like to go from folding laundry to fighting the most powerful lobby in the country. Her story isn't just about gun safety—it's about every woman who's ever been told she's not the right person to create change. How do you know when it's time to stop letting someone else handle it and start taking action yourself?Shannon's journey from corporate communications executive to one of America's most powerful activists didn't happen overnight, and it sure as hell wasn't easy. In this raw, honest conversation, she breaks down exactly what it means to live "on fire"—and why the blowback you'll face for stepping into your power is not only predictable but completely worth it. We're diving deep into the messy middle of creating change, the double bind of "fucksgiving" that women navigate, and how to sustain yourself when fighting for what matters feels impossible. What You'll Learn in This Episode:• The bias towards action vs. letting someone else do it - and how to recognize when it's your turn to step up • Why blowback is predictable and none of it is personal - plus practical strategies for handling criticism when you're creating change • The "fire formula" for identifying your abilities, values, and desires to live authentically • How to distinguish between "false fires" (purpose, happiness, busyness) and what actually fulfills you • Why taking no pay for 11 years was Shannon's biggest mistake - and the martyrdom trap that keeps women small • The double bind of "fucksgiving" - being expected to give all the fucks about everything while giving zero fucks about criticism • How to build sustainable activism that doesn't burn you out (hint: it's about winning and finding your people) • The bridge-building strategies for having political conversations across divides without compromising your valuesShannon's story proves that you don't need permission, credentials, or the "right" background to create massive change. But here's what hit me hardest: her revelation that women's biggest fear isn't failure—it's that pursuing what they want will make them bad mothers. What would change in your life if you stopped believing that taking up space meant taking something away from others? Ready to discover what's limiting you and what's calling you? Hey friend, it's Amy here — and I'm so excited to bring you today's episode because it's a message straight from my heart. I had the honor of speaking this word at church, and now I'm sharing it here on the podcast because I believe it's a timely encouragement for YOU.We're living in a world full of noise, fear, and uncertainty—but here's what I've learned: when you understand the power of your words, everything changes. Your voice is not just for casual conversation. It's a weapon. It's how you shift atmospheres. It's how you align with Heaven and break off lies from the enemy. In this sermon, I walk through some of the most important lessons I've learned about faith, obedience, and the power of speaking the Word of God out loud—especially in moments where it would be easier to stay silent. I share stories from my own life, the weight of prophetic words spoken over me, and how I had to learn to fight forward, not shrink back.If you've been feeling stuck, weary, or unsure of what God is doing in your life, this message is for you. I pray it breathes courage back into your spirit and reminds you that you are more powerful than you think—especially when you start declaring what God says about you.

New Big 3—Starting July 29, 2025 Live from the inner sanctum of conservative thought—and kicking off another brand new hour—fighting for you from the Foxhole of Freedom— WARNING: The Steve Gruber Show often results in Extended periods of American pride, American optimism and uncontrollable enthusiasm about America's future! Kicking off the live broadcast day on Real America's Voice and MTN and reaching a growing global audience—this is the Steve Gruber Show— And this is a no panic zone! Here are the three big things to know this hour— Number One— In Texas a move underway, like that in several other states to require proof of citizenship and residency in order to vote—seems like a very good idea—and I can't reason why anyone would say no— Number Two— The so-called Pelosi Act is making its way through the House and Senate—and if signed into law would prohibit the buying and selling of stock by those in Congress— Number Three— The latest discovery in the investigation of Russia-gate – FBI Director Kash Patel has made a shocking discovery – multiple so-called “burn bags” stored in a secret room inside the bureau that contain thousands of sensitive documents on the origin of Crossfire Hurricane. You can't make this stuff up. “Burn bags” are typically used to destroy classified documents – but it looks like the goonies forgot about these bags – probably because they tried to hide them so diligently – out of sight, out of mind. In case you missed it – this is what Kash Patel had to say about finding a secret room on Joe Rogan earlier this year – Bite #12 Looks like that methodical investigation has dug up some real treasure. This really is a full-circle moment – considering Kash was the chief investigator of the Russia Russia hoax years ago – he's the one uncovered that the government was illegally spying on the Trump campaign – his findings are what got Mueller and Durham appointed as special counsels on the case. And now – one of the documents that Patel's FBI found in a burn bag was the classified annex to former special counsel John Durham's final report – a damning report on intelligence that completely undermines the Russia Russia narrative and what the FBI really was up to. Our friend John Solomon has asked President Trump about this annex – and says that Trump has promised to declassify it – maybe as early as this week – and this is what we should expect to find – listen – Bite #13 All the key players – CIA Director John Ratcliffe, Kash Patel, DNI Director Tulsi Gabbard, and Attorney General Pam Bondi – are working on declassifying this bombshell – which will, reportedly, be handed off to the Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley who's been after the white whale for years. It's quite frankly shocking that we even have this much documentation on the Obama-Clinton enterprise's criminal deeds – Trump says it's pretty astounding to be vindicated after all these years – listen – Bite #14 I do think it's shocking to be finding all of this in writing – and I do wonder if a courageous whistleblower could have aided Patel and Gabbard in these discoveries… It was 20 FBI and CIA agents who confirmed to Tulsi Gabbard's team that Obama's team manipulated the Trump-Russia intelligence – and I wouldn't be surprised if there are more who have a lot more to tell – I think there's a lot of men and women out there – scared to risk their lives and their careers – but who are sick about this blatant attempt at a cover-up – This could be the final nail in the coffin – definitive evidence that there was a coordinated plan to conspire against the duly elected incoming President. And there's no statute of limitations on a conspiracy charge – CIA Director Ratcliffe seems to think the DOJ is going to have a hole-in-one with this annex – listen – Bite #15 Justice has been a long time coming – and it's what the American people want – it's definitely a clear, resounding mandate for the Trump Administration – Rasmussen Reports pollster Mark Mitchell says his polling indicates just that, too – listen – Bite #16 I just don't see how the architects behind Crossfire Hurricane are going to explain this away – no amount of MSNBC hits could save them now – even though the out-of-touch outlet sure can try – listen to them cover this story – Bite #17 And they call themselves journalists – they should be ashamed – but they're not – There's something to be said about leaving the past in the past – but this is not that. The Deep State has been waging war on the America First agenda for a decade now – and they won't stop – not without a flurry of arrests and consequences – Attorney General Pam Bondi has the chance to send a clear message that undermining the will of the American people will not go unnoticed or unpunished – and I hope she does – Even with the annex in hand – it's going to be an uphill battle – there will be questions about authenticity – about who put the burn bags in that room – and at who's order – I'm sure the courts will throw up hurdle after hurdle – but it's a fight worth having – Donald Trump has admitted that he went easy on Hillary Clinton during his first administration – in the name of moving forward – but he says he feels differently now – about going after his political opponents for their obvious crimes – listen – Bite #18 In my opinion – there's going to be an obvious case against the likes of John Brennan, James Comey, and James Clapper – and there's not going to much for them to hide behind – Prosecuting Barack Obama is a different beast – we all know that presidential immunity covers a multitude of sins – and it will likely cover these – But my friend John Solomon has a pretty clever recommendation for the Justice Department – in catching Obama by giving him a taste of his own medicine – listen – Bite #19 I like it – it's bold – but as he said – it's not like it hasn't been done before. This bombshell could be the thing to rock the Deep State – big props to Patel and Gabbard for digging in deep – Americans want justice – so it's time to get ready to hit back hard! **LIVE READ** Did you know that American Homeowners nationwide have over 32 TRILLION DOLLARS in equity? [Summer of Epics]Where do new ideas come from? What is the genesis of those masterpieces that have redefined Modernity? At the beginning of the 20th century, a revolutionary artistic movement emerged, with the ambition of changing everything. This movement was Art Deco. A new style, with clean, pure lines that owes its name to an event with global repercussions, held in Paris in 1925: The International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts.At the heart of this avant-garde event, and amongst the jewels that were awarded the Grand Prix, was a bracelet. Its name: Fleurs enlacées, roses rouges et blanches or “Entwined Flowers, Red and White Roses”. Lastly, to learn more about our ministry endeavors or get one of my missionary biographies, visit PrayGiveGo.us! Why did I begin this weekly Prison Pulpit series? To remind us all to pray for persecuted pastors and believers (such as Pastor Wang Yi) as Hebrews 13:3 teaches us to do (“as bound with them”), by sharing from his own published writings in China, as well as anecdotes from other persecuted ministers who have gone before, such as Richard Wurmbrand. Also, here’s my own humble attempt at expositing Hebrews 13:3: https://chinacall.substack.com/p/remember-my-chains Today we are going to talk about praying for the children of persecuted pastors/believers… Praying for Christian Children in China https://chinapartnership.org/blog/2025/07/fuzhou-how-to-pray/ Next, I want to read some excerpts from an interview I found of Michael Wurmbrand, the now 80+ year old son of Richard Wurmbrand and founder of the Richard Wurmbrand Foundation. BTW, Michael does NOT recommend the ministry of Voice of the Martyrs, which he helped to found many decades ago. He was fired from the ministry more than ten years ago, when he demanded a more broad inquiry into the travels and contacts of former VOM director, Tom White, who committed suicide in VOM’s Bartlesville, OK, warehouse in 2012, after allegations surfaced of him molesting a ten year old girl. (Read his “Open Letter” about VOM here: https://www.billionbibles.com/michael-wurmbrand-vom.html) Michael Wurmbrand also runs another ministry, Help For Refugees, focused primarily on his native Romania, and has made all of his father’s books (and formerly unpublished writings) available for free since VOM continues to use his parents’ likeness and writings without his permission. I personally support Wurmbrand’s Help for Refugees monthly and love getting their newsletter with previously unpublished reflections by Richard Wurmbrand included each month. Now, without further ado, let’s work through much of the following interview, which covers key events in Michael Wurmbrand’s very difficult childhood in communist Romania… Michael (aka, Mihai) Talks About His Childhood Suffering https://www.richardwurmbrandfoundation.com/pdfs/michael-wurmbrand-interview.pdf Follow China Compass Follow or subscribe to China Compass on whichever platform you use. An unexpected journey from Hong Kong to Texas formed the backbone of Adam Coleman's story as he recounts how discovering airbrush stencils abroad eventually led him to become the North American distributor for Liang Models. What began with worn-out stencils and an email inquiry transformed into a passionate business venture connecting Chinese manufacturing innovation with the American modeling community.Coleman walks us through the fascinating evolution of Liang, founded in 2019 by architect and senior modeling judge Yusheng Liang. Their product line has expanded to approximately 90 items across three core categories: vinyl airbrush stencils, specialized modeling tools, and diorama accessories. The Zimmerit tools rank as their bestsellers, but newer innovations like the centered hole driller and handle bender showcase the thoughtful engineering behind each product. What distinguishes Liang from competitors is their commitment to education. Each product features a QR code linking to instructional videos, making complex techniques accessible to modelers of all skill levels. Coleman's distribution philosophy prioritizes geographic exclusivity for brick-and-mortar retailers while supporting online vendors in different regions, creating a collaborative rather than competitive marketplace. The episode then pivots to an exciting preview of the 48th annual Huntsville Plastic Model Society show scheduled for August 23rd. Tom Clark details how this well-established event has evolved to embrace emerging trends like Gundam modeling with expanded categories. With 62 vendor tables already sold out, food trucks (including milkshakes!), and proximity to the famous Space and Rocket Center, the show delivers a complete modeling experience for attendees.Whether you're interested in discovering innovative new modeling tools or planning to attend what promises to be an outstanding show in Alabama, this episode provides valuable insights into the ever-evolving world of scale modeling. Usama Dakdok is the Founder of the Straight Way of Grace Ministry. He is the speaker on the daily radio broadcast Revealing the Truth About Islam. Born and raised in Egypt, Usama learned about Islam just as every other student does in a Muslim country. He also studied for a university degree in Egypt which included the study of Sharia, which is Islamic law. Islam is pushing for world domination. Consider what is happening in France, the UK, Montreal, Canada, and Greece, and also what is being witnessed right here in the United States. A strong contender in the race for mayor of America's largest city, New York City, is a Muslim man who has called for the defunding of police, the very system of public protection to uphold the law, and has refused to condemn "globalize the intifada." This is in a city that has the largest concentration of Jews in the U.S. We also see another Muslim rising up vying to be mayor of Minneapolis. As a matter of fact, just 9 months ago, Voice of America ran a story titled, "Muslim candidates surge in local elections in US." CBN recently ran a story in which they quoted Israel's Minister of Diaspora Affairs, Amichai Chikli, who said, "I think it's very important for Americans to understand that there is a plan of the Muslim Brotherhood. They have a vision, in 100 years, to make America a Muslim state." And yet with the trajectory we are presently on, it will take far less than 100 years for this to happen. We've got many stories to bring to your attention today, all which focus on Islam's push for world domination.

Cate Blanchett (Elizabeth, The Aviator, Tár) is one of the most respected actors of our time. She's an on-screen chameleon who transforms into whatever role she plays, taking on whatever accent is required of her — so much so that she says it's easy to forget what she actually sounds like. At last year's Toronto International Film Festival, Cate sat down with Tom Power for a thoughtful conversation about two of her most recent projects (the unique political satire “Rumours” and the psychological thriller series “Disclaimer”), plus, her voice work.

This week on Proud Stutter, we're joined by Justin McCullough, a longtime stutterer, technologist, and founder of the upcoming mental health platform, Eight Minute Chat.Justin opens up about growing up with a stutter after a major shift in his family dynamic, how it impacted his high school and college experiences, and the quiet persistence that shaped his career in tech. From building his first software system at a community college to launching his own company, Justin reflects on how stuttering has influenced his drive to prove himself, and how it's intertwined with his sense of self-worth, timing, and voice. We also talk about his latest project: Eight Minute Chat, a new initiative designed to offer people a space to offload mental stress in the moment--whether by phone, text, or in person. Rooted in empathy and lived experience, the idea came from a college student's story and has since grown into something that could help bridge the gap between therapy and friendship. This episode dives into first impressions, filler words, what it means to be seen beyond your stutter, and the emotional complexity of navigating speech in a fast-paced world.Subscribe to updates on Eight Minute Chat at eightmin.org.-----

Ever wonder why some practices stand out effortlessly while others get lost in the noise? What's the one thing that truly attracts your ideal clients before you even speak to them? Hey hey! David Bayliff here, and welcome back to The Uncaged Clinician Podcast. Whether you're driving, walking the dog, or just chillin' with your coffee, I'm grateful you're letting me hang out with you in this episode. Since 2018, some of y'all have been rockin' with us from day one, and I seriously appreciate it. Now, let's talk about something powerful but often overlooked: your business voice. Not just your logo or your fonts. I'm talking about the soul of your practice. Whether you're just starting or a seasoned clinician, your business voice tells the world who you are, and more importantly, why you matter. In this episode, I'll cover the following topics with you: What it means for your business to have a voice How core values shape your message and attract the right people The difference between marketing and messaging—and why both matter How perception, energy, and relationships drive growth and trust What makes Uncaged Clinician's brand voice so memorable and relatable Everything you do speaks, even when you're not talking. The energy you put out, your messaging, your materials, your values. They all build the perception of your brand. And that perception? That's what people remember, refer to, and rave about. Take the time to build a voice that aligns with your purpose, energizes your community, and inspires action. When you do, trust me, people won't just hear you. They'll feel you. Now go out there and make your voice count! Uncaged Hack: "Selling is nothing more than having a conversation and conversation is communication. Communication is a transfer of energy." —David Bayliff If you found value in this episode, don't keep it to yourself! Please share it with a friend and spread the inspiration. On today's episode, I had the incredible honor of sitting down with Eileen Noyes—wife, mom of eight, author, speaker, and founder of Lady Bellator. Eileen's story is one of deep pain, bold faith, and powerful redemption, and you're going to feel both seen and strengthened after hearing her testimony. From life in the limelight as a former NFL wife to walking through betrayal, spiritual abuse, and a heartbreaking dismantling of her identity, Eileen opens up about how God met her in the darkest places and slowly rebuilt her from the inside out. She shares how Lady Bellator was born—not as a brand or movement at first—but as a personal calling to reclaim her voice, her worth, and her divine purpose. This conversation is a reminder that your story isn't over. You were never meant to live muted. You do carry gifts that the body of Christ needs. And you can fight the spiritual battles of life God's way—fully armored, fully loved, and fully seen. Eileen is offering you a beautiful free gift—her Lady Bellator affirmation cards—which you can download at ladybellator.com. She also has a companion workbook to go along with her book Rise Up Lady Bellator, which you can use on your own or go through with a small group of women. If you've been longing to step into the next season with clarity, purpose, and spiritual boldness, this is a great place to start. Mama, don't miss this conversation. You were created in the image of God. You are not disqualified. And your voice—when rooted in truth—is a weapon the enemy fears. Let's rise up, together.

Decision-making in the Christian life is often overcomplicated, but Scripture offers clear guidance rooted in God's sovereignty and a believer's daily communion with Him. Rather than treating God like a genie or seeking secret signs, Christians are called to live in reverent awe of the Lord, letting His Word shape their desires and choices. Ray, E.Z., Mark, and Oscar point to the importance of surrender, godly community, and Scripture as essential tools in making decisions that honor God. The guys emphasize that surrounding yourself with honest, prayerful believers—and avoiding yes men—can help bring clarity, especially when facing difficult or unpopular choices. Ultimately, wisdom comes not from following the heart but from seeking God through His Word and trusting that His way is always best.Send us a textThanks for listening! Bryce Leatherwood is only 25 years old, but three years ago he won Season 22 of The Voice, and he just released a self-titled debut album that's already gaining a lot of attention. Despite his age, Bryce's new record sounds like it could have come out a long time ago, and that's exactly what he was after. Many of the songs were inspired by the simple life of his hometown in Woodstock, Georgia, where he grew up, and Macon, where he spent a lot of time riding horses and dirt bikes on his grandfather's farm. When we spoke, Bryce had just lost his grandfather to cancer a couple of weeks earlier, and he talked about what an inspiration he was, both in terms of music and as a role model in life. He also shared the story behind a new song called “Job Well Done” that he recently wrote in honor of his grandfather's memory. Sid talked to Bryce about the best friend he gained from his time on the Voice, what he learned from being a high school wrestler, and why his debut on the Grand Ole Opry was the best night of his life.
