According to the National Association of Professional Organizers, we spend at least 1 year of our lives looking for stuff. So why do we hold on to things? The answer is simple. Not everything comes with an expiration date. So, we're unsure when we should get rid of old items. But, ditching things that we no longer use can help us maximize space and improve productivity. To help yourself declutter, you have to follow one simple rule. Chuck away anything you haven't used in the past two years. Now, don't go around putting everything in boxes. That'll create a huge mess. Instead, do one item at a time! Gynecologists have the unique position that it is appropriate to ask personal, invasive, and otherwise inappropriate questions. One question that is standard when you go to the gynecologist is “Are you sexually active? “This seems like a reasonable question, but is, completely meaningless. In the 1960s, under the leadership of Helen Gurley Brown, Cosmo morphed from a “proper ladies' magazine” to a much racier version that was thought of as being a sex manual disguised as a woman's magazine. The target audience was the young working woman. Women in their 60s were not reading it and were certainly not buying subscriptions for their daughters or granddaughters.  And here we are, Cosmo has just published a groundbreaking, article titled Sex after 60 based on research done in collaboration with the renowned Kinsey Institute of Sexual Research. The Kinsey research team, which I was part of, provided the questions which were ultimately answered by over 3000 women, and then analyzed the data.  In this episode, I have a conversation with sex therapist Dr. Rachel Zar, who was quoted extensively in the article, and who is, as most of you know by now, my daughter.  This episode is based on an article that was published in the January issue of Cosmopolitan Magazine.  https://www.cosmopolitan.com/interactive/a45893760/sex-after-60/ For more information on this topic:  Episode 14: Need to Know Info About the Penis in Your Bed with Dr. Rachel Rubin Episode 16  Minimizing the Monotony of Monogamy with Dr. Alexandra Solomon Episode50 Dating in a Digital World-The Kinsey Report on with Dr. Justin Garcia  Episode 54 What Happens During Sex Therapy with Rachel Zar  Episode 89  Faking Orgasm with Rachel Zar  Slip Sliding Away: Turning Back the Clock on Your Vagina-A gynecologist's guide to eliminating post-menopause dryness and pain Rachel Zar PhD, LMFT, CST is a couple and family therapist and an AASECT-certified sex therapist. HelloWelcome to Life Points with Ronda, the podcast that helps you navigate life's challenges with practical wisdom and actionable advice. where we discuss important topics that affect our everyday lives. Today, I'm speaking to the Gentleman and Gentleman our topic for today is: For the Gentlemen: When You Are Out Working Hard and Providing, Who is Sleeping in Your Bed?In the hustle and bustle of modern life, many of us have become so engrossed in our careers and aspirations that we often forget to pause and reflect on our personal and intimate lives. This post is specifically written for the gentlemen who are investing their time and energy into earning and providing – but at the same time, may be overlooking the vitality of nurturing their relationships. It's a common tale – the man who works tirelessly, pouring all his energy into his job or business, believing that his primary role is to be the provider. While providing for your family is a noble and crucial role, it's equally important not to let it overshadow other roles that you play: a partner, a confidant, a lover, and a friend.## Understanding the Real QuestionThe question, "When you are out working hard and providing, who is sleeping in your bed?" isn't about infidelity, distrust, or suspicion. Instead, it's a metaphorical question, inviting you to reflect on the emotional and relational distance that may have grown between you and your partner due to your commitments outside the home.## The Emotional ConnectionWhile you are out working, what emotional experiences is your partner going through? Is she feeling loved, cherished, and connected to you? Or is she feeling lonely, neglected, and emotionally distant? The bed here symbolizes the emotional intimacy that might be lacking in your relationship. It's about the emotional void that can slowly creep in when you're physically present but emotionally absent. The fact is, a relationship thrives on emotional intimacy, open communication, and mutual respect, not just financial stability. Yes, providing is crucial, but so is “being there”.## The Balance of Providing and Being PresentMaintaining a balance between providing for your family and being emotionally present can be challenging, but it's not impossible. Here are a few tips to help you achieve this balance:1. **Set Clear Boundaries**: It's important to set boundaries between your work and personal life. Make sure you have dedicated time for your partner and your family every day, no matter how busy your schedule might be.2. **Communicate Openly**: Talk to your partner about your work pressures and listen to their experiences as well. Open communication helps in understanding each other's perspectives and building empathy.3. **Show Appreciation**: Small acts of love and appreciation can go a long way in nurturing your relationship. A simple note, a hug, or even a compliment can make your partner feel cherished and valued.4. **Spend Quality Time Together**: Quality time doesn't necessarily mean going on exotic vacations. It could be as simple as having a meal together, watching a movie, or just cuddling in bed. These moments help in strengthening your emotional bond.5. **Seek Professional Help If Needed**: If you find it challenging to maintain a balance or if there's already a consideSupport the showhttps://chat.openai.com/g/g-8E47AuJfB-life-points-assistanthttps://FaceBook.com/Lifepointswithronda1https://youtube.com/@lifepointswithronda2968https://TikTok.com/@lifepointswithrondahttps://Instagram.com/@lifepointswithrondahttps://Patreon.com/@lifepointswithrondahttps://Lifepointswithronda.com

Currently, the market for adult diapers in the US is almost as large as the market for baby diapers. Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of Interviewing the Legends I'm your host Ray Shasho. In a distinguished career as a singer, songwriter and producer, William Bell has come to define the essence of “soul.” Born in Memphis but based in Atlanta since 1970, William Bell was one of the pioneers of the classic Stax/Volt sound, joining such other illustrious musical forces at that label as Otis Redding, Sam and Dave, Isaac Hayes, Booker T. & the MG's, Albert King, Eddie Floyd, Carla and Rufus Thomas, The Staple Singers and the Bar-Kays, among others. After a two-year stint in the Armed Forces, William released his first full-length album in 1967, the classic The Soul of a Bell, which included the Top 20 hit single, “Everybody Loves a Winner.” That same year, blues great Albert King recorded what came to be his signature tune, “Born Under a Bad Sign,” also written by Bell, which has since become one of the most-recorded blues songs of all-time. Among his other classic hits at Stax were “Any Other Way,” “Never Like This Before,” “A Tribute to a King” (William's personal tribute to Stax legend Otis Redding), “I Forgot to be Your Lover,” his internationally acclaimed duet with Judy Clay, “Private Number,” and the perennial Christmas music favorite, “Every Day Will Be Like a Holiday.” As a songwriter, William Bell's compositions have also been recorded by such diverse stars as Otis Redding, Eric Clapton, Billy Idol, Lou Rawls and Rod Stewart, among many others. In February 2017 William received a Grammy for his latest CD on STAX/Concord Records “This Is Where I Live” for Americana Album of the Year and performed on the live TV presentation with Gary Clark, Jr.!  On April 14th, 2023, William Bell will release an Album titled “One Day Closer To Home” with 12 NEW songs. William Bell continues to be a major force in the music industry! Please welcome Singer - Songwriter - Entertainer – Record Producer- Business Man- the legendary William Bell to Interviewing the Legends …   Legendary Soul Singer William Bell Releasing New Album  ‘One Day Closer To Home'   PURCHASE  THE LATEST ALBUM BY WILLIAM BELL entitled ‘ONE DAY CLOSER TO HOME' Available at https://williambellmusic.com/shop-download-music “One Day Closer To Home” is a master class on how to put down the deepest kind of blues from a lifetime achiever. With tremendous groove, the song leans into his signature, soulful sound. Bell doesn't waste a note, word, or bar telling this story of trying to get back to freedom and he makes you believe every bit of it. His vocal delivery is heart-wrenching, loaded with hope and despair all at once. Both the instrumentation and the track's music video are austere and minimal, which keeps the focus on Bell, where it belongs. It's an outstanding song that will catch you and keep you. Midlife women are at much greater risk for acquiring a sexually transmitted infection (STI) than most people appreciate. Since a condom covers only the penis, short of strapping on a trash bag to cover a man's scrotum, anus, and surrounding skin, there is no such thing as total protection. And obviously a condom is not a solution when it comes to oral sex, whether it is with a woman, a man, two women, or any other combination you can think of. In this episode, Dr. Streicher covers: WHY mid-life women are at high risk for getting an STI A guide for buying CONDOMS Ways to avoid getting or giving an STI during ORAL sex  Dental dams  DYI dental dams  Female condom  Saran™ Wrap?  LORALS™ latex undies   A conversation with *Melanie Cristol about latex undies  Why women often turn down oral sex?  What are latex undies?  How latex undies protect against transmission of bacteria and viruses  Why latex undies are better than dental dams and condoms  What's it's like to use latex undies   *Melanie Cristol is the Inventor, Founder & CEO of Lorals. Episode 22 - released, by pure coincidence, on International Cat Day - features Elizabeth, Ben and resident Pratcat Asimov for a look at one of Pratchett's oddest books: 1989's humorous examination of all things feline, The Unadulterated Cat. Cats these days just aren't a patch on the ones you used to get: untameable aloof outdoor beasts who are more likely to trap you in a neighbours' house with a broken leg (long story) than to sit nicely on your lap and purr. The Campaign for Real Cats has had enough of modern, "fizzy keg" cats, with their bows and bells and posing. This is the Campaign's guide to identifying, understanding and appreciating honest-to-Bastet real cats. Pratchett teams up with cartoonist and illustrator Gray Jolliffe to give us a tongue-firm-in-furry-cheek guide to the world of cats in one of his rare non-fiction works. It's the kind of thing you buy the cat lover in your life for Christmas, full of chapters detailing the types of cats, their names, the games they play and "advice" on how to deal with them. Are you a cat lover? Did this ring true for you? We'd love to hear from you - and to hear your cat stories, and any real cats you've identified in fiction! Use the hashtag #Pratchat22 on social media to join the conversation. In September we return to the Discworld - and its most real of cats, Greebo - as we head to the opera for Maskerade, the 1994 book which brings the witches to Ankh-Morpork! Our guest will be teacher and opera singer Myf Coghill. We'd love your questions - send them to us via social media using the hashtag #Pratchat23. And as mentioned in this episode, we'll soon be releasing our first bonus episode just for subscribers! All bonus episodes will be available to anyone who subscribes, so if you're interested, jump over to our Support Us page for details. Show Notes and Errata: Asimov lives with Liz and is our resident "Pratcat". He was previously audible in the background of episode 10, We're Gonna Need a Bigger Broomstick, and episode 18, Sundog Gazillionaire. You can follow his adventures on Instagram at @asimovthecat.Best-selling humorous cat books include How to Tell if Your Cat is Planning to Kill You, several volumes dedicated to Internet sensations Grumpy Cat and the LOLcats of I Can Has Cheezburger?, and other books that draw on similar themes to The Unadulterated Cat, including Cats Are the Worst and Sorry I Barfed on Your Bed.Eric Ernest Jolliffe - the wrong Jolliffe - was an Australian cartoonist and illustrator who led an adventurous life, including work all over Australia and serving as a camouflage officer with the RAAF in World War II. He is best remembered for his magazine and newspaper strips Saltbush Bill and Sandy Blight, and his own magazine, Jolliffe's Outback.Gray Jolliffe's anthropomorphic penis character, Wicked Willie, was the star of both a series of comic books and also a straight-to-video series of animated shorts directed by Australian Bob Godfrey, best remembered for his work on the children's animated series Roobarb and Henry's Cat.Real Men Don't Eat Quiche is a satire of masculinity, originally subtitled "A Guidebook to All That Is Traditionally Masculine". It was written in 1982 by American humorist and screenwriter Bruce Feirstein and stayed on the New York Times bestseller list for over a year. Localised adaptations were subsequently written for the UK and Australia, the latter by Australian playwright and author Alex Buzo. Nathan W. Pyle's strange planet series of comics about aliens trying to understand life on Earth is available at his web site, nathanwpyle.art, and on his Instagram at @nathanwpyle. Pyle experienced some controversy in April 2019 over an old tweet, but his cartoons remain a delightful commentary on the absurdities of our world. He will strengthen your heart; Wait and Hope Expectantly on the LORD!‭‭Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‬Indeed, no one who waits (looks eagerly for) on the LORD will be ashamed or digraced; (‭‭Psalms‬ ‭25:3)‬‬Benefits of waiting on the LORDWhen you wait on the LORD and Hope Expectantly for the LORD to Act, And keep His way, He shall exalt you to inherit the land; When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it. (‭‭Psalms‬ ‭37:34)‬‬When you waited patiently for the LORD to help you, and He turns to you and Hears your cry. He lifts you out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He sets your feet on solid ground and steadies you as you walk along. He gives you a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the Lord.(Psalms ‭40:1-3‬)When your soul, waits silently for God alone, and your expectation is from Him. He only is your rock and your salvation; He is your defense; you shall not be moved. Your Victory and Honor come from Him. In God is your salvation and my glory; The rock of your strength, And your refuge, is in God. Trust in Him at all times; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. This is the LORD, you have waited for Him; you will be glad and rejoice in His salvation. (Isaiah ‭25:9‬)Most Assuredly, those who wait for the Lord , who expect, look for, and hope in Him, shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up close to God, as eagles mount up to the sun; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired. (Isaiah ‭40:31‬)For, you Look away from all that will distract]m to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of your faith, giving the first incentive for your belief, and is also its Finisher, bringing it to maturity and perfection. (Hebrews ‭12:2‬)‭The Scriptures gives many examples of people who had to wait on the Lord to see the benefit He gave them.‬In John 5 Jesus is gone up to Jerusalem for feast. And there in Jerusalem by the sheep gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesada, having five porches. In the porches lay great multitude sick people, blonde, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down at a certain time in the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease they had.Now one of those sick people was a man who had an infirmity 38 years. And when Jesus saw him lying there, already knowing that he'd been in that condition for a long time, said to him, Do you want to be made well? The sick man answered Him Saying, Sir, I Have No Man to Put Me into the Pool When the Water Is Stirred up; but while I'm coming, another steps down before me.Jesus said to him, Rise, Take up Your Bed and Walk. And Immediately the Man Was Made with, Took up His Bed, and Walked.Where the word of God is there is hope and healing.

**How to Find and Keep Great Staff for Your Bed and Breakfast, Guest Houses and Inns** Hi I’m Yvonne Halling at BedandBreakfastCoach.com and today I’m going to talk about finding and keeping great staff.  This thorny topic featured highly in our recent survey about the biggest challenges owners face, so if you’re having trouble with your staff, or you just can’t seem to find anyone to help you, then I’m going to give you 3 tips today on keeping good staff and one final tip of finding great staff that you might find surprising. Tip #1 To find great staff, you’ve got to be a great employer.  That means taking responsibility for how you show up.  The culture and atmosphere you create for your guests must extend to every single member of staff and it’s up to you to help them carry that culture for you. If you’re prone to complaining, or you’re a bit pessimistic, or you’re in the habit of micro-managing people, your staff will leave. People like to be respected, so no matter what tasks they’re carrying out for you, they deserve your respect, even when they’ve made a mistake. Tip #2 Set clear expectations, preferably written down, that your staff can understand.    Have all your procedures carefully documented so they know how everything works at your property.  Don’t leave anything to chance.   People like structure and boundaries, and when they’re fuzzy or missing, they tend to feel confused. Confusion leads to dissatisfaction which leads to staff leaving. Tip #3 Show appreciation often.   Involve your staff in everything that goes well at your property, as well as things that don’t go so well.  Every 5 star review needs to be celebrated with every member of the team, so everyone understands that they played their part in the success of the business and that you know they did too. Communicating with staff when things go badly, and forgetting about when things go well will lead to discontent and apathy, and eventually resignations. Create a culture of positivity, inspiration and appreciation and your staff will want to stay with you. Tip #4 Finally, on finding great staff.  Your own energy of optimism, positivity and pride in what you offer will by itself attract good staff, who’ll want to do well for you, and who’ll want to stay. Your only job in this is to take good care of yourself and your energy. When people are taken care of and loved, they won’t bother going anywhere else. I know this sounds a bit “out there” but it really does work.  I won’t go into the scientifics of this stuff, but just know that we attract what we are, and if we complain, blame and make excuses, we’ll attract situations and people that allow us to continue to do that. So make a decision to raise your energy to what you want to experience, and magic will happen, despite all the problems you may have had with staff in the past. If you’d like to know more about how to streamline your business so you can find and keep good staff and free up even more of your time, then register below for my upcoming Masterclass where I’ll show you how to make more, work less, pay less commissions with less stress. https://bedandbreakfastcoach.com/masterclass/

Like it or not, the nature of our society and of our culture today is focused inward.  Walk down any urban street, vs. 40 years ago and instead of looking out, we’re look down or inward.  At our phones, our images, at our own world.  In a culture where self branding is celebrated, where selfies rule and Millennials are self absorbed, is it any wonder that narcissism seems rampant? But is this just a societal phase, resulting in the kind of prolonged adolescence that A.O. Scott talked about in his NY Times essay, or is it a clinical epidemic that needs more serious attention? Jeffrey Kluger examines these changes in The Narcissist Next Door: Understanding the Monster in Your Family, in Your Office, in Your Bed,in Your World. My conversation with Jeffrey Kluger:
