We're sitting down with Daniel Bennett, a Los Angeles based digital creator and Head of Creative at his own media agency. Daniel has led social strategy for some of the biggest names in entertainment and gaming, including Grammy-winning artists like Diplo and Dillon Francis, as well as global brands like Call of Duty. But what really sets Daniel apart is his ability to blend storytelling and strategy in a way that resonates deeply with today's audiences. While he's made his mark behind the scenes of major campaigns, Daniel has also built a personal brand that's taken off. His relatable content about the chaos of your twenties — from the awkwardness of dating to the ups and downs of friendship — has struck a nerve, earning him over 200,000 followers in just 60 days. His growth has been rooted in one key principle: consistency. In this episode, we dive into what it means to build a sustainable creative career in the ever-evolving digital landscape. We explore how the role of a social media manager has become as vital as a lawyer or a CFO, how Daniel transitioned from agency work to building a brand of his own, and what it takes to stay ahead in the creator economy. On this week's episode you'll learn: How consistency became Daniel's secret weapon for growth What it actually takes to hit 200K followers in 60 days Why creators and brands alike need to rethink how they view social media roles How Daniel took lessons from agency life and applied them to his consulting work What's coming next in the future of content creation and why storytelling still wins

Welcome to episode #230 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional! In this episode, we start off with reminiscing over the older COD titles, and lead into a discussion over the older titles being more difficult, and what made them harder. We share when and why this changed, and how this has led to a shift in the type of playstyles that we have seen both casually and especially on the professional side. We then go into some big CDL team drama news, as we are nearing EWC. Lots of teams at the bottom have made changes, and there are rumors that the Carolina Royal Ravens may not even attend the event. We share our thoughts on these moves, and what we think of the Royal Ravens situation. Finally, we end with a talk about CDL player cards, and the whole concept of these as collectibles. Do you think older COD titles took more skill than newer ones, or vice versa? Do you find watching current COD titles competitively more exciting, or did you enjoy competitive titles in the earlier days? What do you think of some of the roster changes being made? Will they have an impact for EWC, or will these teams make no progress? Finally, what do you think of the CDL player cards? Do you own any yourself? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more!

After the changes and price hikes, it's possible that Game Pass has peaked.

//The Wire//2300Z July 7, 2025////ROUTINE////BLUF: FLOODING DEVASTATES AMERICAN SOUTH. MULTIPLE AMBUSHES REPORTED AT ICE FACILITIES IN TEXAS.// -----BEGIN TEARLINE------HomeFront-Texas: Severe flooding continues to impact the state following unusual weather systems producing much more precipitation than originally forecasted. Concerning casualties, 82x fatalities have been reported so far. Hundreds of rescues by small boat and helicopter have been conducted, and Search and Rescue operations continue throughout the Guadalupe and Llano River basins.Texas: This morning, a small arms engagement was reported at the CBP annex in McAllen. Authorities state that an assailant (who has not yet been identified) was waiting in ambush with multiple firearms to target CBP agents arriving for work this morning. After a short firefight, the individual was killed. This shooting comes two days after a separate skirmish was reported at the Prairieland Detention Facility in Alvarado.Friday night, an individual who was visibly armed was acting suspiciously in the vicinity of the Prairieland Detention Facility. Beyond these initial factual details, the timing of events becomes unclear. However, as this situation was unfolding, a group of insurgents were observed maneuvering tactically to the west of the facility, taking up a position haphazardly concealed in a treeline running north/south approximately 50m to the west of the facility's perimeter fence. Shortly after this observation, this element launched their attack by setting off fireworks either as a diversionary maneuver, to conceal the sound of gunfire, or to prompt police to come out of the facility to enter the killzone of their arranged ambush. During the fray, a small arms engagement erupted outside this facility, as the element of insurgents in the treeline opened fire on one of the officers attempting to investigate the situation. No one was killed during the exchange, however one officer was wounded. A total of 11x people have been arrested so far in conjunction with this attack.-----END TEARLINE-----Analyst Comments: The shooters arrested in conjunction with the Prairieland Detention Center skirmish appear to not necessarily be Cartel-affiliated, but the more garden-variety far-left-insurgent-type. Cartel members don't often take breaks during a small arms battle to spray paint graffiti (as has been reported taking place during this engagement), nor do more organized and professional militants usually get caught en masse like this. All of the attackers were wearing body armor at the time of their arrest, but local reports state that only one firearm was recovered (the rifle that jammed and concluded the attack). As such, this is either a very kinetic "protest" event, or a very poor ambush.Concerning the other small arms engagement (the shooting in McAllen), it's possible there is a link between the two, though authorities have not speculated publicly on this yet. Prior to his attack, the McAllen shooter had spray painted the words "Cordis Die" on his vehicle, which was used to ram the gate at the Border Patrol facility to launch the attack. This phrase is most commonly associated with video game culture (such as the Call of Duty franchise), so it's possible that the attack in Alvarado could be linked, even if it's just a loose link based on ideology. Both attacks were conducted with very obvious public relations efforts in mind, and symbology/politics was certainly a focal point of the evidence left behind. Nevertheless, there are so many attacks on Border Patrol facilities at present that it's hard to establish any clear link between all of the groups who have chosen to conduct targeting efforts.Analyst: S2A1Research: https://publish.obsidian.md/s2underground//END REPORT//

Welcome to episode #229 of The COD Casuals, where we discuss all things Call of Duty, casual and professional! In this episode, we cover the final weekend of CDL matches at COD Champs, and we have a lot to discuss. This COD Champs will go down as one of the most unpredictable, and honestly the most upset-filled in recent memory. With our prior major winners bowing out after only a couple matches of play, we cover what happened to these two teams, and cover the path as to what was needed for them to get a top placing at the biggest event of the year. Of all the teams to make a run, the Boston Breach made an impressive run to finish T3 at champs! We share our thoughts on this teams run, and what this means for their future. Finally, we cover our thoughts going into EWC as to what these teams will look like going into it. Will teams make a change, or will they wait until after BO6? What did you think about the grand finals at champs? Did you predict it, or was your bracket completely ruined like ours? Do you think this cements OpTic's players as some of the greatest ever? Finally, what do you think about the Boston Breach and their T3 finish? Was it luck, or have they shown that they need to stick together for BO7? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more! Hope you all enjoy the episode and we'll see you next week.Follow us:Twitter: @TheCODCasualsInstagram: @TheCODCasualsTikTok: @TheCODCasualsContact us:Business Inquiries: TheCODCasuals@gmail.com

Our main focus for today is the discussion around the CDL future, and a look towards the path forward for some of these players, as many have an uncertain future within the next few years. We look back at our favorite content creators from back in the day, and share our memories of when these creators stopped, and who were the ones that were able to continue to evolve and thrive. Finally, we end with covering a debate regarding gaming/gaming content as a career, and if it requires skill, and most importantly, if it is more difficult than a “normal” job. We share our thoughts on this, and would love to know yours! What do you think the future of the CDL looks like? Will it be around for years, or are they numbered? Will many pro players be able to continue to thrive in gaming, or will many have to look for a new career path? Finally, what do you think of the whole “gaming is harder than a 9-5” debate? Do you buy into it, or do you think each job has it's own skill set and challenges? Please let us know as we discuss this and much more!

The fallout of any Xbox showcase is always our favorite episodes to record as a duo! It gets us all involved and allows to pick with greater detail at whatever is on the community's mind as consuming so many trailers. Well, there's mostly one thing on Xbox fan's minds at the moment and it's if Outer Worlds 2 should be the second ever $80 game. There's no doubt about it that there are more to come, but should Call Of Duty have taken the fall? Is this price tag going to prevent The Outer Worlds 2 from reaching its peak popularity? We have many thoughts on this touchy subject, but also on the future of Windows combining itself with Xbox. With Xbox Play Anywhere, things are changing. However, many fans are noticing that most of their library CAN'T play anywhere. Will Xbox ameliorate this and, if so, how quickly? Plus more on Cog's incredible Shinobi story, MindsEye first impressions, the future of Halo's story as a multi-platform title, when we'll get Persona 6, and plenty more! Xbox has been the gold standard for showcases these last two years. Whether it be their summer showcases or Developer Direct, they just seem to have a death grip on the rhythm needed to put on a good show along with well timed announcements. Well, no one stays hot forever, so it was inevitable that Xbox would come down to earth at some point. The question is, when they do, where would they end up? Fortunately, it wasn't terrible! We got a deep look at The Outer Worlds 2 while Double Fine finally came out of hiding with their atmospheric adventure game, Keeper. Clockwork Revolution stole the show with a 5+ minute trailer and, naturally, Call Of Duty is coming back again this year. Perhaps most noteworthy was the reveal of the ROG Xbox Ally X. As long reported, this partnership with ASUS will be the beginning of Xbox's handheld journey. Cog went hands-on, so we have to-the-minute thoughts on the user experience, UI updates, and performance testing!
