The Free Press's Lucy Biggers went from climate-crisis influencer to climate-alarm denier. I have no clue how big this episode's carbon footprint is, but it's worth all the coal we burned to make it happen. Lucy and I talk about her beginnings at NowThis, why climate change doesn't scare us anymore, hipsters bringing back dung stoves, and how all that money celebrities raised to aid the victims of the California fires might as well have burned up. After weeks of hearing from all sides, it's finally time to debate it! This week, we release our (mock) debate with David Artman. Seth will be taking the position (just for the debate) of annihilationism, and Jonathan (again, for the debate) of the traditional eternal-conscious-torment position. David, unsurprisingly, will defend universalism. And despite this (supposedly) being a mock debate, sparks fly! This is by far one of our most entertaining and heated episodes yet! Later, she talks with Rep. Sean Brennan (D-Parma) about a bipartisan bill he's sponsoring that would allow student teachers to get paid for their work. Ohio Public Media Statehouse News Bureau Chief Karen Kasler and Reporter Sarah Donaldson join Jo to talk about kratom, artificial intelligence, a decline in childhood immunizations, and redistricting. Conduce Juan Carlos Barba. On Friday's Mark Levin Show, a federal appeals court ruled that President Donald Trump's use of emergency powers to impose tariffs was unlawful, which is absolutely ridiculous. This decision could disrupt trade agreements with countries like the EU, Japan, and South Korea which is not what Trump wants. It also puts at risk tariffs aimed at China, Canada, and Mexico, which were intended to curb fentanyl shipments in border traffickings. In addition, Secretary of State Marco Rubio has made the decision to prevent Palestinian leaders, such as Mahmoud Abbas, from participating in the forthcoming UN General Assembly. The genius of Rubio asserts that this action is in accordance with U.S. laws that oppose Palestinian statehood and impose penalties on the Palestinian Authority for financially supporting those convicted of terrorism. This decision effectively denies visas to high-ranking officials from both the Palestinian Authority and the Palestine Liberation Organization, although personnel at the UN mission will still be permitted to remain. Lastly, a group of Democratic influencers were offered $8,000 a month to join a secretive program run by Chorus, a nonprofit tied to a liberal marketing platform. These influencers are a problem; therefore, we demand to know how much make so we can put an end to their political funding. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

12 Simple Words (12 Simple Words...Foundation) by John W Kennedy https://www.amazon.com/12-Simple-Words-Foundation/dp/B0DG7ZGD3S One of the things that drives John W. Kennedy the craziest and increases his personal cynicism is the fact that we do not communicate anymore. This sounds odd in a world full of communication devices, but 'talking at' is not 'talking with' others. We always look to find someone to blame instead of listening and trying to understand another's POV. Most of the time, blame is never the answer needed to act, but something to deal with after the solution is found. Debate and arguments have value when they do not become personal. He has changed his approach many times in life, when someone convinced him of a better solution. We must stop making broad assertions and assumptions based on factors out of one's own control. We need to decide that groups are made up of individuals that have differing life experiences. We can embrace and learn from many.
Al and Zach engage in a rich discussion with the younger generation as they launch the first Hillsdale Friday and dive into Genesis 1–3. John Luke can't help blurting out “Ew, dude, that's my sister” when his brother-in-law Christian Huff dives deep into the Genesis account of marriage and nakedness. Together they explore the four key relationships outlined in the creation story, why God said it's not good for man to be alone, and how marriage reflects the Trinity itself. In this episode: Genesis 1; Genesis 2; Genesis 3; Genesis 12; Romans 8, verses 19–23; John 4; Ephesians 1, verse 4; 2 Thessalonians 1, verses 8–10 Today's conversation is about lessons 1-2 of Genesis taught by Hillsdale Professor Justin Jackson. Welcome back to Impact Theory with Tom Bilyeu! In this lively episode, Tom is joined by his co-host Drew for a candid deep-dive into the most pressing issues shaping tech, culture, and society right now. Kicking things off, Tom takes Apple to task for missing out on AI innovation, arguing that mere incremental improvements aren't enough in a world rapidly shaped by artificial intelligence. Together, he and Drew offer a no-holds-barred exploration of tech industry leadership, unraveling why Apple's culture may be holding them back and what it would take to truly compete in the coming AI revolution. But the conversation doesn't stop at technology. Tom and Drew navigate a wide range of hot-button topics—from the gender debates driving modern society, to evolving roles in entrepreneurship in the AI era, and even the very real consequences of global conflicts like the ongoing crisis in Gaza.
