Why is socialism suddenly becoming popular again in America—and what are the real consequences if it succeeds? In this episode of The Tudor Dixon Podcast, Tudor sits down with Dr. Anne Bradley, professor of economics at the Institute of World Politics and Vice President of Academic Affairs at The Fund for American Studies, to examine the resurgence of democratic socialism and why so many young Americans are embracing it. The conversation explores why "free" government programs have become politically appealing, how envy and economic frustration fuel socialist movements, and why history repeatedly shows socialism leading to economic failure and government control. Tudor and Dr. Bradley also discuss the rise of crony capitalism, corporate welfare, regulatory barriers facing small businesses, and how government favoritism undermines entrepreneurship and opportunity. Drawing from history, economics, and Tudor's own experience running for governor of Michigan, they explain the difference between free-market capitalism and government-controlled economies—and why protecting opportunity matters more than ever.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

A key theme that emerged was the tension between purely philosophical understandings of economics and the gritty realities faced by those who operate within the engine of prosperity—entrepreneurs and business owners. The discussion explored why some are drawn to leftist and socialist ideas, the failures and unintended consequences of well-intended policies, and the persistent power of resentment in driving political movements.Several points were raised, including the effectiveness (and pitfalls) of expansive welfare states, misconceptions about the Nordic model, the risks of government monopolies, and the challenges of balancing innovation with regulation in rapidly changing sectors like AI. The conversation wrestled with concepts like income redistribution, union power, public versus private incentives, and the fundamental incompatibility—according to some—of long-term socialism with capitalism.Listeners can expect a candid, no-holds-barred analysis that pulls apart economic myths, critiques mainstream narratives, and asks tough questions about the road ahead for prosperity, growth, and freedom in an era of ideological uncertainty.Quince: Free shipping and 365-day returns at https://quince.com/impactpodWhatnot: Download the Whatnot app today and get free shipping on your first order.Monarch Money: Start your free trial and get 50% off your first year of total money clarity at https://monarchmoney.yt.link/QxOLEVx or code TB50 for 50% Off Monarch Core tier.ATT Business: Switch to AT&T Business at business.att.comKetone IQ: Visit https://ketone.com/IMPACT for 30% OFF your subscription orderShopify: Sign up for your one-dollar-per-month trial period at https://shopify.com/impactSurfshark: Go to https://surfshark.com/TOMB or use code TOMB at checkout to get 4 extra months of Surfshark!See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

No Spain No Gain: How Israel Orchestrated the Invasion of Ceuta (August 4, 2026)

    The Secret Teachings

When 60,000 people rushed the land and water borders of Spanish territory, specifically Ceuta, Socialists and Muslims were immediately blamed. But it was also obvious that some other factor was behind the invasion, which reportedly dwindled to only 10,000 when the rest returned to Morocco. A few weeks prior, both President Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu had threatened Spain; the former did so over Spain's refusal to back the war against Iran; the latter over Spain's criticism of Israel's handling of Palestine. In 2019, Yair Netanyahu was encouraging Arabs and Muslims to invade and conquer Ceuta instead of voicing concern about Palestine. In May of 2026, Yair was comparing Ceuta to Gaza, adding that the Jews would make a deal with Spain: they won't fund NGOs and Spain won't comment on Judea and Samaria. After the invasion, Danny Danon, Israel's UN Ambassador, told Spain to deal with their own colonialism and the resulting Muslim invasion rather than being concerned with Israel and Palestine. Hananya Naftali, an Israeli media influencer, sarcastically called on Spain to adopt a two-state solution and ceasefire with the invaders (there were no exchanges of gunfire). The Mossad International account shared images of anti-Israel protests in Spain coupled with those of the invasion, underhandedly sewing the two together and telling the Spanish president to resign. Ben Gvir, Israel's National Security Minister, sarcastically congratulated the Spanish and added that since the country supports Gaza, they should also open their own borders and let all those refugees pour into the country in the name of  diversity. The United States had a documented hand in funding the invasion, with a recent piece of legislation authorizing $40,000,000 to help Morocco reclaim Ceuta and Melilla. But Combat Antisemitism, and all the Israeli bots and influencers, defended themselves by claiming that the noticing of these patterns was simply antisemitic Jew hatred, especially the fact that the Jews helped Muslims invade the Iberian Peninsula in 711 AD too. It should also be noted that according to the Encyclopedia Judaica, Socialism itself is a largely Jewish movement; i.e., the idea that Socialist Spain is responsible is just another admission of Israeli guilt.  *The is the FREE archive, which includes advertisements. Iris is back, and apparently we chose peace by discussing democratic socialism, Zionism, the war involving Iran, Israel and Palestine, Republican unity, Democratic dysfunction, and growing trans fatigue on the left. So, naturally, a very relaxing episode. We dig into the Democratic Socialists of America, what democratic socialism means in practice, and the controversy surrounding Michigan Representative Haley Stevens. We also examine why Republicans remain so effective at closing ranks and advancing their agenda, even when that agenda is cruel, incoherent or wildly unpopular, while Democrats continue treating internal disagreement like an Olympic event. Then we enter far more difficult territory: Zionism, Israel, Palestine and the broader conflict in the Middle East. We condemn the dehumanization and destruction of Palestinian civilians while also confronting the violence, extremism and political failures that make honest discussion of Israel and Palestine nearly impossible. There are no spotless institutions or easy heroes here. Finally, we discuss “trans fatigue” on the political left. Not fatigue with transgender people or trans rights, but frustration created by a specific, highly visible subset of online activists whose rhetoric, purity tests and refusal to tolerate disagreement can alienate potential allies. Republicans have weaponized that tension with brutal effectiveness, while Democrats remain seemingly incapable of defending trans people without either surrendering the conversation or pretending no internal problems exist. In this episode:• Democratic Socialists and the DSA• Haley Stevens and divisions within the Democratic Party• Why Republicans are better at party unity• Democratic infighting and ideological purity tests• Zionism, Israel, Palestine and civilian suffering• The war involving Iran and the danger of further escalation• Republican cruelty, propaganda and political discipline• Trans rights, online activism and “trans fatigue” on the left• Why difficult conversations are necessary, even when everyone becomes furiousContent note: This episode includes frank discussion of war, civilian deaths, antisemitism, Islamophobia, Zionism, trans politics and political extremism.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/we-saw-the-devil-unfiltered-political-analysis--4433638/support.Website: http://www.wesawthedevil.comPatreon: http://www.patreon.com/wesawthedevilRobin's Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/robin_wstdTwitter: http://www.twitter.com/WeSawtheDevilInstagram: http://www.instagram.com/wesawthedevilpodcast.TikTok: tiktok.com/@wesawthedevilpolitics

Welcome to Last Call, a look at the biggest stories Jim and Greg covered over the past week on the 3 Martini Lunch. This week they discuss the insane Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) agenda, Dr. Anthony Fauci invoking the Fifth Amendment to avoid questions about his handling of the Covid pandemic, NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani publishing the names and addresses of "rich" people he plans to tax, and the trans community getting furious over donuts.First, they applaud Shannon Bream of the Fox News Channel for getting DSA Co-Chair Megan Romer to admit the group really wants to abolish the U.S. Senate, radically change the presidency and the U.S. Supreme Court, abolish ICE, abolish borders, abolish prisons, and more. Jim and Greg point out that some of those are mainstream positions for Democrats and others are not far away. They also welcome polling that shows socialism deeply unpopular with independents.Next, they discuss Dr. Fauci refusing to testify before Sen. Rand Paul and the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, now that he's not covered by President Biden's pardon. Jim explains why this is a really bad look for Fauci and shows how the left is trying to defend Fauci in some ways while distancing itself in others. Greg notes the stunning lack of mainstream media interest in the Fauci diaries. Then, they fume over Mayor Mamdani's decision to release a database listing the names and addresses of everyone his administration sees as eligible for his new "pied-à-terre" tax aimed at owners of second homes above a certain value in the city. Jim explains how reckless this is and why aggressive pushback is needed now. Finally, they shake their heads as the Tim Horton's chain takes heat from what's now being called the 2SLGBTQ+ community because Tim Horton's plans to create Harry Potter-themed treats next month. Please visit our great sponsors:OneSkinGet 15% off OneSkin Summer Bundles with promo code 3ML at https://oneskin.co/3mlQuoMoney is on the line. Not a wealth tax. Farmers markets. The kind with watermelons and a guy selling tomatoes off a folding table.Hightower ran for Texas Agriculture Commissioner with the idea as a key part of his platform anyway. He won. And in his first year in office, he and a staff of six built a hundred of them across the state.Forty-some years later, Democratic strategists are still having the same panic attack about socialism. Turns out the “radical” thing was never the label itself; it was whether the guy delivered on campaign promises. Here, Hightower tells the story himself: the watermelon stand outside Weatherford that started it all, how Hightower's staff created the market access for the farmers, and the line he used to shut the haters up for good — “the word ‘free' in ‘free enterprise' is not an adjective. It is a verb.”
