Erika Fiedler proves that you do not need an office or a massive budget to build a real estate empire. As a full time stay at home mom balancing diapers and toddler squabbles she built a profitable wholesaling business right from her smartphone. With zero cold calling experience and no complex CRM setup she used local county GIS maps and Facebook Marketplace to find her first deal and eventually cracked a massive $27,000 assignment fee on a land deal in North Carolina. In this episode Erika breaks down her unconventional approach to wholesaling. She explains why she avoids overcomplicating the business by sticking to what works for her brain and lifestyle and how she successfully navigates joint ventures while living in Florida and investing in other states. If you think you are too busy or lack the resources to start your real estate journey this episode will completely dismantle that limiting belief. Host Lindsey Elizabeth Cortes explains her six-week podcast break was due to moving across the country, an unexpected third pregnancy, illness, and parenting two sons, including one with glycogen storage disease managed by individualized nutrition; she shares that amniocentesis at 21 weeks confirmed her unborn baby boy does not have the disease, and she is embracing being a full-time stay-at-home mom, so future episodes will be less consistent but ongoing. She highlights resources for female athletes, including RED-S education and a $15/month RED-S recovery membership, and then reviews basic pregnancy nutrition: prenatal folate early, managing first-trimester nausea with small frequent meals, hydration, and adding protein/fat; increased energy needs in second (~350 kcal/day) and third trimester (~450 kcal/day); screening for gestational diabetes; food-safety cautions (listeria, salmonella, mercury); and key nutrients including iron (27 mg/day) and choline from eggs. Marriage will make you ask a hard question: are we both sacrificing, or are we just keeping score? In this episode of Life After I Do, Nesha G and Moelethal use their real twenty-year chemistry to unpack the invisible weight behind marriage, parenting, provision, career pauses, and the emotional labor that often goes unnamed. In this episode, we discuss whether men sacrifice more in marriage, whether women carry the heavier emotional and mental load, and why “50/50” rarely tells the whole truth. The conversation moves from provider pressure and financial responsibility to motherhood, identity loss, postpartum emotions, career sacrifice, and the quiet cost of being the default parent.Nesha opens up about what it feels like to think about returning to the workforce after almost seven years away, while Moe reflects on the pressure to provide, protect, and keep the household stable. Together, they land on a mature truth: healthy marriage is not about proving who has it harder, it is about recognizing what your partner carries before resentment starts talking for you.Send us Fan MailSupport the show Thanks for rocking with us! You know that middle-of-the-night thought spiral, the one where you're suddenly calculating how your family would survive if your spouse didn't come home? In this preview from my premium feed, More Personal, me and my podcast manager are talking about it out loud, and it turns out, a lot of us have been quietly doing that math for years. In this Casual Convo we get real about one of the most uncomfortable truths of being a primary parent: the financial precariousness hiding beneath the surface of every “traditional” family life. From the fear of losing your spouse, to the trad wife movement and MLM's, we cover it all while grappling with what we actually can control when solutions feel out of reach. This one doesn't have a tidy resolution. But it might be the most honest conversation you hear about what it really costs to be the one who stays home. What do you do when the career you love suddenly lets you go? Kathleen DiCaprio is a Montreal-based marketer, speaker, and podcaster who has built her career across brand marketing, influencer marketing, and communications — and she genuinely loves every second of it. But even the most passionate professionals aren't immune to a layoff. In this episode, Kathleen gets refreshingly real about what it felt like to lose her job, what she did next, and why choosing radical transparency on social media about her job search changed everything. We talk about how being openly honest online about her situation didn't hurt her chances — it helped her land interviews she never would have gotten otherwise. We get into the power of finding and building community online during some of your hardest seasons, and why showing up as your real self will always outperform the perfectly curated version. And because we never shy away from the full picture on Take the Lead, we also go deep on mom guilt — what it really looks and feels like when you're a driven, ambitious woman who also happens to be someone's mom. Kathleen doesn't sugarcoat it, and that's exactly what makes this conversation so worth your time. If you've ever been laid off, questioned your path, or wondered how to balance a career you're passionate about with a family you love — this one is for you. In this vlog—“Ode to Stay‑at‑Home Moms”—I take on the pink elephant women keep bumping into: can modern women really have it all—home and career? Riding the tension between Michelle Obama (Becoming) and Sheryl Sandberg (Lean In), I lay out what's actually at stake for Christian couples thinking about kids—and for those already in the thick of it.
This week, the sisters cover a lot of ground—from a surprisingly effective skincare tip you'll want to remember, to the very real stress of figuring out what to wear to a black tie optional wedding without losing your mind (or your budget). In “What's the Buzz,” things take a turn into the irrational (and maybe not-so-irrational) as they unpack fears around flying, bridges, gondolas, and self-driving cars—basically, all the ways modern life can quietly freak you out. Then it's onto the main event: surviving the back half of the school year. With junior year in full swing, the conversation gets honest about burnout, pressure, and the myth that effort always equals results. The sisters share practical advice for both parents and kids—how to communicate better, when to step in, and why building relationships (not just GPAs) actually matters. And in “What's for Dinner,” Kathy takes on the ambitious task of making mac and cheese for 50 lacrosse players… and lives to tell the tale (barely). Spoiler: it involves a new food processor, a kitchen disaster, and a lot of cheese. As always head to threelilfishes.com/shownotes for links and recipes.

A real day in the life of a stay-at-home mom in this season of motherhood. What does a real day actually look like in this season of motherhood? In this solo episode, Jacqueline walks you through a true day in the life — from the moment she wakes up to when the house finally goes quiet at night. Not the highlight reel. Not the optimized routine. Just the honest rhythm of life right now as a stay-at-home mom of three, balancing motherhood, mental load, and creative work.Jacqueline shares what mornings look like getting two kids out the door for school, how her days shift depending on whether her toddler is home with her or at her school program, and how her work as a podcaster happens in small pockets of quiet time. She talks about the invisible labor of motherhood, the constant emotional regulation, and the tension between being present with your kids while still wanting space for your own purpose. This episode is for any mom who feels like her days are full but invisible, meaningful but hard to quantify — and who needs the reminder that showing up counts, even when there's no checklist to prove it.In this episode, we talk about:A real day in the life of a stay-at-home momManaging the mental load of motherhoodParenting multiple kids in different stagesWorking and creating during naps and school hoursAfter-school chaos, activities, and evening routinesWhy some seasons of motherhood are about maintenance, not growthLetting go of productivity pressure in motherhood✨ Reflection prompt: What does your day actually require of you — emotionally, mentally, and physically?
In this episode of the Just Jenna Podcast, I sit down with my close friend Britt Blanco to talk about what it really takes to build an online brand from nothing.Britt did not grow overnight. She did not make money right away. In fact, she made zero dollars for months while posting consistently three times a day.At the time, she was a stay at home mom with three kids, navigating major life changes and uncertainty, but she made a non negotiable decision to go all in anyway.Today, Britt has built a brand with over one million followers and runs a successful fitness business that gives her financial freedom and flexibility for her family. In this conversation, we talk honestly about what kept her going when nothing was working, why consistency mattered more than talent, how she navigated a full niche pivot, the mindset shift that changed everything, and why quitting cannot be an option if you want real freedom. If you have been watching others build online businesses and wondering why you have not started yet or why you feel stuck, this episode may be exactly what you need to hear. This is a raw and real conversation about discipline, belief, and doing the work even when life feels chaotic.Instagram: @bylt.by.britt

Smith — jewelry designer, mother of four, grandmother of four, devoted wife to LL Cool J, and a true embodiment of sisterhood.Simone is the definition of a girl's girl: a woman whose brand and spirit are rooted in community, friendship, and showing up for other women. From her signature hoop designs under Simone I. Smith Jewelry to the wisdom she carries as a cancer survivor, Simone's story is one of resilience, grace, and deep faith. In this conversation, we talk about God's timing, trusting the seasons of motherhood, and learning to lean into the kind of mom you truly are — not the one you think you're supposed to be. Simone shares what it means to build a life grounded in love, purpose, and sisterhood, and why every chapter unfolds exactly when it's meant to.This episode is a reminder that motherhood isn't one-size-fits-all… and that sometimes, the greatest strength comes from embracing your own journey — right on time.Make sure you connect with our Mamas on IG: @themamasdenpodcastAshley - @watermeloneggrollsCodie - @codieco Melanie - @melaniefiona Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Disclaimer: We are not professionals. This podcast is opinioned based and from life experience. This is for entertainment purposes only. Opinions helped by our guests may not reflect our own. But we love a good conversation. In this 2 Be Better Podcast episode, Chris and Peaches sit down in Christmas onesies and react to one of their earliest traditional marriage videos, breaking down how far they have come in communication, accountability, and gender roles since season one. You will watch them cringe at old ego, laugh at their own anxiety, and then double down on traditional marriage advice, protector–provider–presider masculine leadership, and what a stay at home wife actually brings to the table in a modern relationship. They unpack division of labor in marriage, decompression time for both partners, mental health and “bad days” with chores, and why they still believe men should pay for the first date while also warning broke men that they should fix their finances before jumping into dating. If you are searching for real talk on traditional gender roles, trad wife life, dating standards, first date rules, time management as a stay at home mom, and how to build a functional household instead of keeping score over socks and dishes, this reaction episode shows their growth in real time and gives you language you can use in your own relationship. From there, they read and dissect a heavy email from a mother of four whose partner has checked out of the family, become obsessed with crypto trading, and started emotionally abusing her sons over money, using it as a live case study in stepdad behavior, blended families, and what emotional abuse and financial manipulation actually look like in real life. Chris and Peaches talk through exit strategies, why your kids' safety and emotional stability come before keeping a man, how addiction to charts and gambling-level crypto risk destroys connection, and why therapy, accountability, and doing your own “dirty work” after trauma matter before you start dating again. They also revisit homeschooling versus daycare for special needs kids, building a tribe through Patreon, retreats, men's and women's coaching groups, and why shared purpose and clear standards make traditional marriage, stay at home motherhood, and provider masculinity actually work. If you are looking for blunt relationship coaching on traditional marriage, stay at home mom life, step-parent dynamics, crypto addiction in relationships, and setting real non-negotiables in dating and marriage, this episode will hit hard and give you practical tools, not fluff.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/2-be-better--5828421/support.
I was raised in a traditional Chinese family, where my mother was a stay-at-home parent. Witnessing her profound unhappiness, I made a vow to myself: I would never follow that path. This fueled my intense drive to pursue a higher education and build a demanding career. The shock came after we adopted our daughter and welcomed our son shortly thereafter. To my absolute surprise, I loved being with my children and yearned for more time with them. This realization triggered a massive identity crisis. Everything I had worked for—who I was, and who I was becoming—was suddenly in question. The decision to quit my job and become a full-time mother was incredibly difficult. As an international student, my career path had been anything but smooth. When my children arrived, I had finally achieved the dream career I had always wanted. Walking away from it felt impossible and, frankly, silly at the time. but I finally did and I wish I had done it sooner. Now I want to share my story and what I learned about this transition with other moms. If you've ever felt stretched too thin, this episode is for you. In Part 1 of my series, 12 Things I've Learned About Homeschool Moms, I share the first six insights I've gathered over my years as a homeschool mom, coach, and guide for women just like you. These self-care tips for overwhelmed homeschool moms aren't rules or prescriptions—they're real-life reflections from someone who's walked this path, experienced the overwhelm, and learned how to reclaim herself without abandoning her homeschool dreams. Join the 12-Day Self-Care Challenge for Homeschool Moms What You'll Learn: Self-Care Tips for Overwhelmed Homeschool Moms Every homeschool mom faces invisible challenges, even when things look “perfect” from the outside. In this episode, I dive into the first six things I've learned about the homeschool mom experience: You feel like you never get a moment to yourself – The constant “on” mode can leave you disconnected from your own body and needs. No one sees everything you do – From teaching to caregiving to emotional labor, the invisible load is real. You say yes because it feels easier than dealing with disappointment – Learning to say no is a radical act of self-care. You're emotionally depleted – The overwhelm is rarely about homeschooling itself—it's about carrying too much without space to reset. You feel guilty resting – Rest isn't optional; it's essential for your health, your energy, and your presence in your family. You don't even know who you are anymore outside motherhood – Reconnecting with yourself is foundational to leading a confident, aligned homeschool life. Every one of these six things isn't a sign that you're doing homeschooling wrong—they're signs that you're human and have been carrying more than anyone was meant to carry alone. Why These Self-Care Tips for Overwhelmed Homeschool Moms Matter If any part of this episode made you exhale or think, “oh… that's me,” consider this your gentle invitation to start tending to yourself with the same care you offer everyone else in your home. Emotional overfunctioning and people-pleasing can follow you into homeschooling, and slowly, you lose not just your energy, but your sense of self. Reclaiming yourself isn't selfish—it's foundational. Your kids feel safest when you feel safe. Join the 12-Day Homeschool Mom Self-Care Challenge This is exactly why I created the 12-Day Homeschool Mom Self-Care Challenge. It's not another checklist or performance-based challenge. Instead, it's twelve small, doable shifts designed to help you come back to yourself with compassion, not pressure. Daily Letters – Thoughtful reflections to help you see your needs clearly. Gentle Reflection Prompts – Uncover the stories you've been carrying. Tiny, Doable Practices – Small actions to create real emotional space. As one mom said: “Your work has ripple effects because you're nurturing the nurturers.” You deserve that same nurture too. Click here to join the 12-Day Self-Care Challenge and start making your own 1% shifts away from overwhelm and toward a homeschool life that feels good from the inside out. What's Next for Overwhelmed Homeschool Moms Next week, we'll continue with Part 2 of this series, where I share six more things I've learned about homeschool moms. They go even deeper, and I think you'll feel just as held, understood, and equipped to make your homeschool life feel lighter and more aligned. Until then, take one moment today just for you—not because it's earned, but because you need it and you deserve it. Join the 12-Day Self-Care Challenge for Homeschool Moms To the Woman Reading This… If any part of this resonates — if you recognize your own patterns of over-functioning, self-forgetting, or carrying too much — please know you don't have to walk this alone. Maybe safety felt conditional, or you learned to earn love by meeting everyone else's needs.Or maybe you're carrying grief or stories that were never yours to carry. I've walked this path too — from losing myself to returning to myself. If you're ready to step into who you truly are, I'd be honoured to walk beside you. ➤ Learn more about coaching with Teresa here. In this episode of The Wealthy Practitioner Podcast, Steph sits down with longtime friend and entrepreneur Jill Cherry— founder of Cherry Picked WebCo (@cherrypickedwebco) — for one of the most honest and expansive conversations we've had on the show. Jill's story is a powerful example of what happens when identity, motherhood, marriage, and entrepreneurship collide — and what becomes possible when a woman finally decides to build a business on her own terms. From helping run her husband's chiropractic practice, to navigating the pressure and guilt of being a stay-at-home mom, to accidentally discovering the skillset that would change her entire life, Jill shares the journey that led her to build a thriving online business that now supports their entire family. Steph and Jill dive into the identity shifts required to trust yourself, raise your standards, and command your value. They explore the real dynamics of marriage during seasons of role reversals, the pressure of being the breadwinner, and how switching responsibilities ultimately saved their relationship. Jill also opens up about homeschooling, structure, creativity, and what it looks like to build a business that gives your child access to the best opportunities — including moving their entire family from New Jersey to Texas. This is an inspiring, grounded, and deeply relatable conversation for any woman who has ever felt torn between motherhood and ambition, questioned her next move, or battled imposter syndrome on her rise to the next level. In this episode, we cover: 0:00 – Welcome + how Steph and Jill originally met 1:22 – Jill's story: when entrepreneurship "chooses you" 4:18 – The pressure of being a stay-at-home mom & identity conflict 7:06 – COVID, shutting down in-person marketing & learning digital skills 10:40 – Discovering website design + the birth of Cherry Picked WebCo 13:55 – Champagne & CEOs: the event that changed everything 16:42 – Commanding your fees, raising your rates & imposter syndrome 20:30 – How switching roles in marriage strengthened their relationship 25:14 – Homeschooling, honesty, and redefining family rhythms 28:55 – Living and dying by the calendar: structure as freedom 32:40 – Moving from New Jersey to Texas & building location independence 35:22 – Creating opportunities for your child through entrepreneurship 38:18 – Navigating seasons of marriage, teamwork & communication 42:05 – The importance of checking in with your spouse and recalibrating 45:44 – Closing thoughts + details on the January TWP Popup If you're ready to be in the room where identity shifts, clarity drops in, and your next level becomes non-negotiable, join us inside our January TWP Popup in St. Pete. Join Me for the 12-Day Homeschool Mom Self-Care Challenge A homeschool mom self-care challenge that honours you. Homeschool mama, I see you. December is here, and it feels like an avalanche of ALL the things.Every month as a homeschool mom is full, but December? It's a whole new level. You're trying to finish things up, or you’re moving into a unit study on Christmas, you’re purchasing, prepping, planning, and playing—and you just added a part time-job to your full-time job. But as a homeschool mama, when December rolls around, mama ain’t looking after herself, she’s looking, after ALL the things. And though ALL the things are a whole lot of things EVERY other month, December’s ALL the things is an exponential set of things. Though you’re trying to do all the things, fulfill the expectations, and make it magical for your kids, you can’t do a little bit more if you didn’t already incorporate an approach to maintain margins and pursue purposeful living. That's why I'm inviting you to join me for the 12-Day Self-Care Challenge for Homeschool Moms. This isn't another TO DO list. It's a TO GIVE list—a way to give back to yourself. Join the 12 Day Self-Care Challenge Why Self-Care Matters As homeschool moms, we have a unique calling. We're deeply present with our kids, invested in their well-being, and working hard to create meaningful memories and learning experiences. We savor moments of: Watching our kids harmoniously play together (sometimes). Cheering them on as they tackle new challenges. Seeing their excitement as they pursue new interests. Building lifelong memories as a family. But there's another side to this season: The constant stream of emotions (theirs and ours). Sibling squabbles. Complaints and meltdowns. And, of course, the never-ending mundane tasks—laundry, dishes, meals, and errands. Even when we handle these challenges with grace, the emotional and mental investment is enormous. Add the holidays to the mix, and it's no wonder we feel stretched thin. The Secret Ingredient to a (more) Peaceful Holiday Season Here's the thing: you matter too. Your well-being is not just an afterthought—it's the foundation of a happy family life and a peaceful holiday season. Self-care: Refills your energy so you can approach the holidays with calm and joy. Models healthy balance and boundaries for your children. Helps you manage stress and let go of perfection. Strengthens your emotional resilience to handle challenges with patience and grace. Creates space for joy and presence, helping you savor the small, magical moments. When you care for yourself, you're giving your family the best gift of all—a peaceful, grounded, and joyful mama. What You'll Get in the 12-Day Challenge In just fifteen minutes a day—maybe even five—you'll explore simple, practical self-care strategies that fit into your busy December. These strategies aren't just for the holidays; they're tools to carry into the new year, helping you nurture yourself and your family with greater ease and satisfaction. Jordana's blowout gets her and Dr. Naomi chatting about spending money on things that bring you joy or that you just dont en-joy doing. The Overshare comes from someone who feels she is always taking the lead with her friends and family's planning and is left wondering why she is always the one running point. A listener is fuming after a pilates class where another attendee was free-styling her own routine, and she needs a Betchecist on how to handle it. The Intention for this week comes from a woman who is contemplating becoming a stay at home mom, but is feeling weird about what others will think. And a Betch is triggered by her brother in law and wonders if he is personally attacking her big day while another listener is left feeling icky after she is called out in a social situation by someone she doesn't even know.
