Angela talks to behavioural coach Emma Dunwoody about the fascinating world of human design, exploring its synthesis of ancient wisdoms such as Western astrology, the Kabbalah tree of life, the Chinese I Ching, and the Hindu chakra system. Emma explains how human design serves as an energetic blueprint that reveals our unique superpowers, challenges, and life lessons, highlighting the importance of understanding one's design to enhance manifestation and personal growth, as well as the impact of conditioning on our true selves. KEY TAKEAWAYS Human design is a synthesis of four ancient wisdoms—Western astrology, the Kabbalah tree of life, the Chinese I Ching, and the Hindu chakra system—providing an energetic blueprint that reveals how individuals are designed to operate in the world. There are five main types in human design: Manifestors (initiators), Generators (inspired doers), Manifesting Generators (multi-passionate hybrids), Projectors (guides), and Reflectors (mirrors of truth). Each type has a unique way of interacting with the world and making decisions. Conditioning can lead individuals to pursue goals and desires that are not truly aligned with their authentic selves. Human design helps individuals recognize their true desires and superpowers, allowing them to break free from societal expectations and conditioning. In human design, understanding one's strategy and authority is crucial. For example, Generators are encouraged to respond to external stimuli and trust their gut feelings, which helps them identify what truly lights them up and brings them energy. BEST MOMENTS "Human design is a synthesis of four ancient wisdoms which are Western astrology, the Kabbalah tree of life, the Chinese I Ching, and the Hindu chakra system." "The more I was becoming aligned to my design, the more I had authentic desires, authentic things I wanted to manifest." "What human design often shows us is that the thing we want to fix or change is actually something that is our superpower." "The most amazing thing could turn up in your life, but if you have no passion, no energy, no lit up for it, then it's just not correct for you." How can architecture transform the experience of healthcare for children? Can design elements like colors, materials, shapes, and daylight even help improve the young patients' lives?  Denmark is about to get its first purpose-built children's hospital, Børneriget, which is scheduled to open in 2026 in central Copenhagen. Børneriget aims to redefine pediatric healthcare with its unique "finger plan" layout, focusing on creating a welcoming and safe environment through thoughtful design. But how can these elements enhance patient well-being and improve the hospital experience?  In this episode of Let's Talk Architecture, host Michael Booth explores the design of Børneriget with lead architect, Stig Gothelf, senior partner at 3XN, and My Lunsjö, Associate and Behavioral Specialist at sister company GXN.  Together they dive into the research behind their design choices, discussing how aspects like color schemes and views of nature are intended to reduce stress and support healing.   Let's Talk Architecture is a podcast by the Danish Architecture Center, with sound edits by Munck Studios.

What if you could discover your own unique energy system and potential that is specific to only you? What if you could learn how to follow your personal energy and inner guidance to create your best year yet? What if you could tap into your divine gifts and energetic thumbprint to live your truth and authenticity?   If you're curious about these questions, then you'll love this episode of The You-est You podcast with Julie Reisler and her guest, Emma Dunwoody, a Human Design Expert, Master Coach, Behavioral Specialist, and host of the #1 Global Human Design Podcast. Human Design is a system of self-knowledge and guidance that helps us understand our energetic blueprint and how we are designed to interact with the world. It combines ancient wisdom from astrology, the I Ching, the Kabbalah, and the chakras with modern science from quantum physics, genetics, and biochemistry.   In this episode, you'll learn: The basics of Human Design, such as your type, strategy, and authority, and how they can help you make better decisions and align with your purpose. The 5 types of Human Design are: Manifesting Generator, Generator, Manifestor, Projector, and Reflector, and how they differ in their energy, aura, and role in the world. You'll also discover which celebrities share your type and what you can learn from them. The goal of Human Design, is to know and own your power and to stop giving your power away to others. You'll discover how Human Design can help you raise your consciousness and shift the energy on our planet.   In this episode, you'll also learn about the 5 types of Human Design, which are based on how your energy interacts with the world and what your role is in the collective. Each type has a different strategy, authority, and aura, and knowing your type can help you optimize your potential and avoid frustration, bitterness, anger, or disappointment. Here are the 5 types and some examples of famous people who share them:   Manifesting Generator: These are the people who respond and inform, and display human potential. They work on their terms, are non-linear thinkers and are multi-passionate. They have a lot of energy and can do many things at once, but they need to listen to their gut and follow their joy. An example of this type is Beyonce, who is a singer, songwriter, producer, actress, entrepreneur, and mother. She is known for her versatility, creativity, and charisma. Generator: These are the people who have big attractive auras, and feel comfy to be around. They are here to build the new world and follow the feeling of being lit up. They have a lot of energy and can be very productive, but they need to wait to respond to the opportunities that come to them and avoid initiating or forcing things. An example of this type is Oprah, who is a media mogul, talk show host, philanthropist, and spiritual leader. She is known for her generosity, wisdom, and influence. Manifestor: These are the people who initiate and inform, and inspire people into action. They have a big aura and a strong sense of direction. They know what they want and lead the way. They need to be careful not to trade in their natural power for people pleasing or approval. They need to inform others of their actions and respect their freedom. An example of this type is Jonny Depp, who is an actor, producer, and musician. He is known for his eccentricity, originality, and independence. Projector: These are the people who are here to help guide us and improve the system. They have wisdom within that they want to share with others. They need to value their wisdom from the inside and not get caught up in what others think. They need to wait for the invitation and recognition before they offer their guidance and advice. They also need to rest and recharge their energy. An example of this type is Taylor Swift, who is a singer, songwriter, and record producer. She is known for her storytelling, authenticity, and resilience. Reflector: These are some of the most powerful human beings, only 1% of the population, who need to be in surrender and sample life. They make decisions based on a 28-day cycle (following the moon cycle), amplifying all in front of them. They are like mirrors, reflecting the health and harmony of their environment and the people around them. They need to be in the right place with the right people and trust their timing. An example of this type is Sandra Bullock, who is an actress, producer, and philanthropist. She is known for her versatility, humor, and compassion.   The goal of Human Design is to know and own your power and to follow your personal energy and inner guidance. This is how we will begin to raise consciousness and shift the energy on our planet. It's time to stop giving your power away to others and to start owning your divine gifts and energetic thumbprint.   This episode is packed with insights, tips, and stories to help you unlock your potential and be your You-est You in 2024 and beyond. How can I use that knowledge day to day? The internet, especially Instagram, lacks nuance. That's why I'm so excited to bring today's guest, Emma Dunwoody, to dig into the real depth of Human Design! Emma Dunwoody is a Human Design Expert, Master Coach and Behavioral Specialist who believes in the importance of being your own guru. Similar to astrology, it's important to take your entire chart into account and translate it based on YOUR truth. If you get a reading from an expert, they're still distilling the information from their own perspective. Emma is working to teach people how to read and interpret their own charts intuitively. Season 2 Episode 13 I'm sure you're thinking "It must be nice to be co-founder of Bossy ROC and owner of three businesses." But in this episode, you'll learn how Kelly Bush went from dreaming of a life of fame in the arts to running a bar; and how her ability to improv got her through tumultuous life events; both physically and emotionally.  Kelly Bush never thought she would become a business owner, as she was sure she was going to be a performer. After watching the movie Dirty Dancing, Kelly was inspired to write a script for a new version of the movie with her as the lead. She eventually went into business with her husband Don when they bought Marshall Street Bar and Grill. She also has a consulting business that helped other women navigate the pandemic. As a childless wife and woman business owner, Kelly has experienced the challenge of being in spaces dominated by mompreneurs, but she has learned to fill her space with different things. "If anyone out there is a business owner and not a mother, a woman business owner, it's something I've struggled with before because I felt like there was like two years where every bossy happy hour, like half of the time spent was talking about what it's like to manage your home with your children and your business. And I would just sit there and get smaller and smaller and like, I can't contribute here." ABOUT THE INTERVIEWEE: Kelly Bush is a multi-business owner in Rochester, NY. She and her husband, Don, co-own Marshall Street Bar and Grill and the Union Tavern. Kelly owns K & B Consulting and is the co-founder of BOSSY.  Kelly graduated from college with a degree in technical theatre and design. It had been her dream since childhood to be on stage, on and behind the scenes. When she realized that the long hours and unpredictable schedule did not work for her or her anxiety. She left the professional theatre world and began her career as a Behavioral Specialist at a therapeutic, day treatment school.  It was here that she became close with Kelly Metras, a casual friend that came on as a Special Ed Teacher. During their time there, the Kelly's became important and essential supports for each other, which continued on as they transitioned into small business owners. It was during this time that BOSSY was formed.  Kelly has served as President of the local chapter of the NYS Restaurant Association and currently holds a board seat with the state association. She is an active board member of her neighborhood and business associations and spends her limited free time hanging with her husband (outside of work) and playing with her sweet pup, Lincoln.   Connect with Bossy: Instagram: @BossyRoc Website: www.bossyroc.com   Thank you to our Sponsors:   Gallery Salon 4 Elton Street, Rochester, NY 14607 www.galleryhair.com   Salena's Mexican Restaurant at Village Gate 302 N Goodman St, Rochester, NY 14607    Union Tavern 4565 Culver Rd, Rochester, NY 14622   This episode is supported by Riverside.fm, the leading platform to record studio quality audio or video podcasts. Kim Davis' message, “It's All About Connection” is a hopeful message for all! As a Behavioral Specialist for Daughters of Light, a coach for new mentor certification training for Life Changing Services, and as an Eternal Warrior coach, she has experience with connections. Especially with God and the Spirit. Kim suggests what we can do to connect with ourselves, with God, with others, and why it is important. The adversary seeks any opportunity to have us disconnect with others and Kim explains the enemy does so by tricking us with “smoke and mirrors”, like what a magician uses. You'll love her analogy and will begin to understand and see the “smoke and mirrors” the enemy might be using in your life too. Kim encourages listeners to not see the people we love as the enemy. Instead, behold your little ones, behold your spouse, behold yourself—open your eyes, see them, and have compassion. Kim reminds us we are all fighting hard battles. Behold the little one in you and in your spouse or children. God sees the mess, but He also sees the healing and infinite possibility within you. Kim speaks of connection, love, sanctification, and exaltation. She also reminds us of this important and empowering truth she often says: “Fight the REAL battle! The REAL battle is to have the Spirit, to have the Spirit is the battle. When you win that battle, you win ALL the battles!!!” It really is all about connection. Connecting with God through the Spirit is key. You can learn more about Kim at https://daughtersoflight.org/ or she invites you to connect with her through email at eternalfamilywarriors@gmail.com.
