The first step in healing is to awaken to the fact that we need to heal. We often go through life ignoring our pain, medicating it, and coping with it. When we awaken to the fact that we have deep pain and wounds that need to heal and see that we are worthy of healing, everything begins to change. In this first episode of The Healing Journey series, we look at the first stage of the healing journey, which is awakening to our need to heal, that we are worthy of healing, and that we have the power to heal. In this episode, we take a look at the following:That there are no "rules" on how we healThe importance of self-compassionThe 5 A's of the healing journeyAwakening our desire to healSee that we are worthy of healingWhy do we sometimes get stuck on the journeyThings that help awaken us to our need to healI hope that this episode serves you in your awakening process to see how worthy you are of a beautiful life. We are thrilled to be welcoming Corey Bellemore to the show today. Although we have known of Corey for some time now, we were introduced to him last month by Heather Sloane of Heali Medical. Corey is one of Heali's athletes receiving the great benefits of their magnesium and menthol-infused K-tape. Heather and her business partner Li, were the guests of episode 365, which launched in March of this year, so make sure to listen to that episode. Meeting Corey and having him here with us today is yet another example of the power of community and the connection that naturally arises from within. Corey is a Canadian track and field athlete with insane personal bests like 3:57 for the mile, 3:39 for the 1500m, and 1:47 for the 800 m. He is a National medalist and well known for being the Beer Mile World Record Holder, which he ran in 4:28. Corey has a background in competitive swimming from high school and has been known to train with some well-known professional triathletes so we'll see where that's all leading. We hope you enjoy this episode! Thank you for supporting the YogiTriathlete mission and this podcast by listening, sharing, and being a patron. In this episode, we discuss: - meeting his soulmate - tapering for a 1500m race - embracing long-term development - razor's edge between super fit and injured - cross-training to maintain a healthy balance - 80/20 - fear and control - strength training - having a coach/community - qualities of a great coach - the journey is the destination - trust, tactics & flexibility all in a 3 min race - his competitive history with Lionel Sanders - recovery routine, including stillness - don't be afraid to eat - beer mile obsession Namaste- Jess
Today we're excited to be joined by two female entrepreneurs who are assisting athletes in feeling better in their bodies, which, as we all know, has such an impact on our minds. Heather Sloan and Enwei Li are healthcare practitioners, friends, and working moms with almost 30 years of combined healthcare experience. In their over 15-year friendship, they have shared many patient success stories, methods of healing, and wellness go-tos. From their experience with injury coupled with assisting their athlete clients with injury prevention and healing, they kept running into a wall when it came to being mobile and healing simultaneously. They became frustrated with the gap in the healthcare products market, and out of this came Heali, the first-ever tape that offers pain relief, recovery, and support at the same time. Addressing an untapped market area, these ladies won over the investors on Dragon's Den and walked away with a deal. Beej and I have been using this tape since November. Our athletes on Team YogiTriathlete are also using it, and we couldn't wait to get these ladies onto the show so that more and more athletes can experience the support and recovery we have been experiencing over these last few months. The product is impressive, but we want to shine a light on the women behind the offering because knowing who we are supporting is just as important as the support this product offers us all. Thank you for tuning in! In this episode, we discuss: - background of Heali - so stylish you may even want to fake an injury - turning inspiration into action - biggest roadblocks in the development of the product - creating the winning formula - keys to the success of a partnership - Dragon's Den experience - why menthol and magnesium - how it works - importance of mobility in recovery and injury prevention - confident movement - easy application - empowering athletes to take ownership of our health - vision for the future of Heali Medical Namaste- Jess

This episode has affirmations for accepting where you are in your career. This is like a part two, to episode 34, Forgiveness and your Career. In that episode, I talked about the importance of Forgiveness. Forgiveness isn't for the other person or event that occurred but for ourselves. When we don't practice forgiveness regularly, you are holding on to the past. To those emotions, the guilt, the pain, the anger, whatever you are feeling and that continues to build up and can become resentment, feeling numb or depression.EPISODE LINKSEP 34 | Forgiveness & Your CareerGet the Career Moon Planning Guide at ManifestYourCareer.comClick Here to learn more about my career coaching services. Signs, signs, everywhere signs...do this, don't do this, can't you read the sign? Many of us seek signs from God, the Universe and beyond to help us make decisions. To guide us in our days and give clarity. But there's often so much in the way that keep us from recognizing the signs that are there for us every single day.I'd like to share a personal story about my accident last week, and the abruptness it created in my mind and heart. We are often given subtle and dramatic signs, sometimes that feel wonderful and encouraging, and sometimes with some of life's "medicine" to reach our soul. This medicine is often of healing, teaching, guidance and deeper work that sometimes doesn't feel so wanted. Some of the lessons I learned from my accident and the very impactful experience:*Be gentle with yourself and others*Love is the power that breaks through our own and others inner demons and blockages that help us connection* Not just to listen, but to follow, my intuition*Follow and heed the messages of the spirit world, animal totems, numerology and how it supports your life and reminds you of your strengths and places we need to strengthen*Signs don't always come in the way we want or expect, but important nonthelessThank you for listening and I hope this episode is helpful for you in some way. In this episode, I admit what triggers me most and how I attempt to use triggers as positive feedback. I thought triggers just meant something was wrong with me that I cannot change because that is just who I am. I have proven that theory to be completely incorrect. I believe triggers are valuable feedback to set us free. What triggers us is what we need to heal. There is nothing wrong with you if something triggers you. Use the trigger to allow yourself to work on that part of you that needs healing. Healing will set you free. You must be willing to do the work.Highlights of this Episode:-Why my Financial Health Triggered Me-How I freed myself of my triggers around money-The secret to using your triggers to healI hope you enjoy this episode and allow yourself to get one step closer to freedom using your triggers. Please leave me a review because your feedback is so important to me and helps me provide meaningful content. Keep showing up for yourself, doing the hard work, and falling in love with the beautiful human that you are. All my love, peace, and vibe checks!

Adam and Eve had the greatest marriage in the history of mankind because they are the only couple to experience marriage without the influence of sin. This week, we’re going to examine their relationship to see if there is any wisdom we can glean from their story that will help us in our marriages. To do this, we have a choice to make—just like Adam and Eve. We can take the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, or we can choose to take the fruit of the tree of life to heal our marriage. The million-dollar question is: are we willing to make a different choice if it will make our marriage better?

This week, we’re going to examine their relationship to see if there is any wisdom we can glean from their story that will help us in our marriages. To do this, we have a choice to make—just like Adam and Eve. We can take the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, or we can choose to take the fruit of the tree of life to heal our marriage. The million-dollar question is: are we willing to make a different choice if it will make our marriage better?

Looking at the examples of Jesus healing blind men we all have the components and the strength within us to be healed. I can do all things in Christ.Limiting beliefs can block and limit healing. By finding one small area of our lives where are new beliefs are true we can declare them with power for all areas. We are designed to handle any challenge.Phil spoke today about applying resistance in physical strength, but resistance to our spiritual nature and spirit impedes spiritual growth. The “I will” mind finds a way to accomplish. “I will” is a companion declaration to “I am”.Today I give myself permission to work through my inner strengthI have all the components to healI am designed to handle any challengeI am a Disciple of Christ with positive expectationMy strength is enoughI am consistent in aligned habitsI am firm and solid in my faithI am resilient and I trust the Lord’s lightI am firm and solid in my faithClick Here for more info on living a life of gratitude.Click Here to find out how to join the Gratitude Call live every weekday morning at 7 am Mountain Time.Click Here to join the “Breakthrough with Gratitude!” Facebook Group. Yesterday I had the opportunity of feeling a very deep, painful sadness. I asked my husband to pray with me. I wanted the feeling out of my body and home. This morning, I still have some residual fragments of that emotion. I want those negative feelings gone. I don’t want them trapped, inside of me, my home etc. I know if I don’t release them, and let go of the situation that brought them about, it can cause problems.Emotions are things, they are energy. I get to choose, the feeling I assign to something. I choose if I keep the emotion trapped or if I want to let it go. I am looking forward to letting this go!Thank you Felicia, for giving us a visual representation, of a door that’s closed, and as we choose to open the door, we might find junk at first, but as we are willing to clean out, we find pathways to new, exciting places. Our bodies give us signals, and as we listen to our bodies we are able to clear whatever is surfacing.Sometimes, emotions are trapped within us because we have taken them on from someone else. We don’t have control over others and how they feel. However, we do have control whether we allow their emotions to become trapped within us.Today, I Give Myself Permission To Let Go Of Negative EmotionI am grateful for my body’s power to healI am aware of and willing to let go of all negative emotionI am grateful for trapped emotionsI recognize what emotion is mine and what belongs to othersI am grateful for the gift of feeling painI am emanating lightI am filled with joy, peace, happinessI am of infinite worthI am full of energy, life, vitalityClick Here for more info on living a life of gratitude.Click Here to find out how to join the Gratitude Call live every weekday morning at 7 am Mountain Time.Click Here to join the “Breakthrough with Gratitude!” Facebook Group. Stepping into The Ten Da Tao Chang: Life Transformation with Master Sha and Host Diana Gold Holland
Once your eyes are open to narcissistic abuse it can literally feel like you are attracting these people. In reality it is not so much about who you are attracting and more about who you are attracted too and how long you let them stay in your life. Narcissists feed off of "supply" and in order to get suppy they exploit the vulnerabilities of others. Figuring out what your vulnerabilities are and healing them will help you not be "supply" of a narcissist. Figuring out what your empty buckets are and what your deal breakers are will be a big step in the right direction. Anyone can be on their best behavior for a period of time but eventually their actions will speak for themselves. From the full livestream October 12th, 2016 Do you have a narcissist, sociopath, or psychopath in your life, or think that you might? Are you in (or recently out of) of a relationship that you can only describe as crazy making, toxic, or like a lifetime TV movie? Then you are in the right place. The live streams are a time where we "meet" every Wednesday at 8:30pm EST to ask questions, and give answers and support. I give my two cents, as do many of the other people in the chat. If you can't make it to the live stream, you can email me your question at: DearDana@ThriveAfterAbuse.com I get a lot of questions, but I do my best to bring up and answer as many of them as I can each week. :) To get support: www.ThriveAfterAbuse.com/forum * This is an "open" group, meaning that anyone can see what you are posting, however, you can choose your own screen name and have total privacy that way. Support Group on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/Heali... *This is a "closed" group, meaning that your Facebook friends can see that you are in the group, but they CAN'T see what you are posting (although it looks like they can, as you can see the chat on your timeline--but they really can't so don't panic.) Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/ThriveAfterA... Instagram: /ThriveAfterAbuse Disclaimer: I am not a therapist, doctor, attorney, or expert in Narcissism...or anything at all really. If anything, I am a student of life, love, behavior and behavior change, and a woman who is dedicated to thriving. Professionally, I worked as an advocate for victims of domestic violence at a domestic violence shelter, and currently I am a psychiatric nurse. Personally, I have been through two relationships with narcissists, and have been able to not only survive those, but have been able to move forward and thrive. My goal with these videos is to share all of my lessons learned, as well as to start many important conversations about abuse, and recovery with the hopes that together we can provide the clarity, closure, and healing that we all deserve. Remember: You are not crazy. You are not alone. And yes, you really can heal from this.
