MANDO-VERSE MONDAY - Today we discuss the question: Why didn't Obi-Wan Train Luke Skywalker Earlier? The Jedi standard training in regards to Force sensitive children was to begin at a very early age. If Obi-Wan knew that Luke was the last best chance of the Jedi and that training Luke at a younger age would follow Jedi protocols, then why did he wait so long to train Luke. There would have been so many benefits with raising Luke in the Light Side of the Force. He could have grown in power versus the hurry up training we saw in A New Hope. Listen as we uncover the interesting reason why Obi-Wan waited to train Luke. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

In this week's episode of From Idea to Done Erick and Josh try their first remote podcast recording to discuss meditation, or what Erick likes to call "Jedi training." They both share resources they utilize to get into that relaxed zone.J/E: Hey Everyone, I'm Josh and I'm ErickJ: And today’s episode is our first remote recorded episode. I’m not in the studio today in an attempt to bring on a series of marketing experts from across the US in future episodes.E: This week’s idea is Jedi Training. That is my nerd phrase I made up for Meditation. We’ll do an app review of a meditation app that I got as well to help with meditation called Insight Timer. In the last year or so, I have started meditating. Josh can you give us a little background on meditation with you?J: I started meditating about a year ago as part of a morning routine, i’m a little bit out of it now and need to get back into the swing of it. Call it my February resolution. E: Again, I’ve gotten into meditating the last couple of years. I downloaded it after being recommended to from our friend Peter Schott. J: Peter is a delightfully quirky human being. [other thoughts here]E: Professionally anything I can do that copies Peter, probably is going to be a good long term thing for me to do. So I downloaded the app he suggested.J: What are your thoughts on the AppE: I think it’s good so far. It has a lot of introductory meditations that I didn’t overly need. It does have a giant library of meditations to search through. I am looking forward to digging around, using all the filters, and having more great specific meditations for what is going on in my life. My free trial ended after a week, and I was pinged for $60 on my bank account. We’re all in now. Payment means I am committed. By this time next year, I will know for sure if this is worth $60. Josh what do you use for your meditations?J: I’ve used Headspace in the past and currently using Calm. I like them, but sometimes it's tough to know what session/class to go through. I feel like I need a meditation coach to make those decisions for me. Erick What are your overall review of Insight Timer?E: It’s pretty much like anything. Exercise, eating right, time management, all are important, and should be done regularly. How you get there doesn’t overly matter, apps can make everything accessible and easier. If you are looking to get into meditation, I would suggest digging around on youtube for free first, or talking to some people you know before jumping in headfirst and paying. There are plenty of free guided meditations on Youtube that I watched before this.J: Thank you for listening to this episode. Jedi training has gotten a bit sketchy since Darth Sidious overthrew the Galactic Republic and wiped out the Jedi Order. On today's episode, I'm talking about where Rey will be with her training at the start of The Rise of Skywalker, bringing to bear some of the history of Jedi training from the prequel and original trilogies, what we know from the sequel movies and other sources already, and a bit of speculation based on the teaser trailer. In this conversation, Daz Smith explains how the spiritual path of the Jedi is the closest explanation to the connection we have to the universe and the potential that exists within all of us. Since he was 15 years old, Daz Smith has had a strong interest in psychic phenomenon. From tarot reading to mediumship, Daz has amassed an incredible amount of psychic training. Throughout his life he felt destined and pulled to learn about these abilities and has been led on an incredible journey. In his twenties, Daz received some training in remote viewing, which, according to his website, is “the ability to transcend time and space to gather remote information using more than the normal or known senses.” Learning Remote Viewing We all have the ability to learn remote viewing. It is an ability that exists in every one of us. It does, however, take practice and dedication to learn the craft. Fortunately, Daz has compiled a wealth of information regarding the history, research, and training for remote viewing. Daz is living proof that anyone can learn this skill with hard work and dedication. He wants to make this technique available for anyone interested, which is why he has created the website RemoteViewed.com for anyone interested in learning more. In addition, Daz publishes Eight Martinis, a remote-viewing based magazine, free online. If you like the content, be sure to donate and support what he's doing. More at https://www.6SenseMedia.net

For a minivan, Missy's pro tip is to rent with Alamo and make a reservation for a full-size car and then also a minivan reservation. If you become an Alamo Insider, you can the skip the line! So head straight to the garage and in the Orlando Airport many times there are minivans in the full-size aisle. When Missy arrived, there were two or three minivans sitting in the full-size aisle. You can then do a quick online check-in drive off to Walt Disney World, saving hundreds on your reservation that way. If you ask for an adult portion, they will most likely oblige and bring scrambled eggs and perhaps sausage as an adult platter. No guarantees, but worth asking if your heart is set on waffles. Blizzard Beach Le Cellier Morimoto Asia Peking Duck Missy’s Pro Tip: You can also get Kakuni Pork Bao from the Street Food window outside! The first time that she saw the Frozen Sing-Along Celebration. It was just Me and her, everyone else was on either Star Tours or Rock’n’Roller coaster and so I took her to see the Frozen Sing-Along for the first time. We sat in the second row and the curtain comes up and she recognizes the music and then Anna comes on stage and she just starts yelling, ‘Anna’ and reaching out for her. And it was just, it was incredible. I was worried that maybe she would get antsy because it's a 30 minute show. She was mesmerized the whole time. It was a great experience. And then her reaction to Vampirina that we talked about earlier when we did the Hollywood & Vine breakfast was amazing. Oh, and at Royal Sommerhus at Epcot for her to meet Anna and Elsa. We were the first in our group to go into the room. And so there was one family meeting with Elsa and Anna was waiting on the other side and Emma saw that they were in the room and her eyes got wide and she's just yelling, ‘Anna, Elsa’ and Anna was waving at her and she was waving back. We learned we could just put her down next to the character and they would sit on the floor and the interaction that she would have with just her and them was just incredible. And just watching that, I started crying. My sister made fun of me because I just had tears streaming down my face because it was so lovely to see.” Learn more about Missy www.magicofmainstreet.com Disney Planning for Disney Friends Missy'sFacebook page

In episode 41, the guys answer a listener question about staying at the Villas at Grand Californian with DVC points. A recent survey of DVC members leaked a possible name for a new DVC resort and the guys discuss their thoughts on the name. Reunion Station at Copper Creek is lifting restrictions on it's up-charge lounge to attract more customers and one time DVC points increase in price. The guys debate what this means for DVC members. Even more details have come out about the Millennium Falcon ride at Star Wars Land and there is a rumor there will be hard ticket preview event for the land. The guys decide if this makes them any more excited for the ride than they already were and if they'd be interested in a paid preview of Star Wars Land. Damon gives a review of a local haunted farm he attended on his latest detour and has some advice for Disney from his experience. Disneyland is ending their Jedi Training (for now) and has cancelled their luxury hotel project. There is a big rumor out that Spaceship Earth will close for a lengthy 2.5 year refurbishment and the guys discuss their thoughts on what the new ride could look like.
The Navigators respond to the news of the cancelling of the Jedi Training show in Tomorrowland. What does the future look like? Holly and Jace give their personal speculations and reveal a few rumors surrounding the changes that are coming to Disneyland.

It made me think that I should share a tip on how we booked our room at the Swan for this trip. I was able to get a room there for $160/night using a Priceline Express Deal offer. This saved us $50 a night. For anyone unfamiliar with that, Priceline offers significantly discounted rates on hotels without showing you the name of the hotel you are booking. Hotwire does this, as well. It is a risk, but I did some research and figured out that Disney hotels will be those described as being in the “Walt Disney World - Bonnet Creek” area. The Swan is the only one that is 4.5 stars so I knew that was what I would be getting. I also figured out that Disney hotels appear in these deals and you’ll know because a free airport shuttle is listed as an amenity. No other hotels in the “Walt Disney World - Bonnet creek area” offer free airport shuttles. We really wanted to stay at the Yacht or Beach, but our trip was a last-minute idea for our anniversary and we needed to stay within a certain budget. This Priceline deal helped us do that while still getting something in the Boardwalk area near the Food & Wine Festival." Skywalking Through Neverland: A Star Wars / Disney Fan Podcast
Roads. Where we’re going, we don’t need roads... We need lightsabers!! In Episode 88 (which totally has me thinking Back To The Future, if you can’t tell from listening to the first 20 seconds) we talk with Matt Cox - the first and only adult to participate in the Jedi Training Academy at Disneyland. He may be visually impaired, but that didn’t stop Matt from infiltrating the Jedi Training Academy at the 2015 Friends Of The Magic Meet-Up! (Matt hosts the podcast, Brunch With The Brits) Matt also proposed to his girlfriend Maria at Disneyland, and both stories have us reaching for our tissues. (15:44) We also have another Classic Marvel Star Wars Comic segment with Star Wars artist Randy Martinez , this time we look at issue #2 of the film adaptation from April 1978. No hoojibs yet, but we LOVE discussing the comics from 3 points of view: the nostalgic, the artistic and the newbie. (53:03) Also on this episode: Things We Want To Share - FORCE FRIDAY event with Star Wars authors! Richard and I tapped to moderate! Listen in for all the juicy details. (10:46) Cliff’s Notes Countdown (5:14) Skywalker Shout-outs (47:54) Skywalker Of The Week (34:00) And remember…NeverLand On Alderaan!
