Back in 1978, Magneto appeared in animated form on The New Fantastic Four, an animated series by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Maddy and Ryan brought Ryan Truman (a.k.a. Ry T) on the show to dissect the hilarious corniness of "The Menace of Magneto," in which one of our favorite mutants is depicted as a total buffoon. We also discuss the rights issues surrounding Fantastic Four at the time, which led to the creation of H.E.R.B.I.E. the robot in place of the Human Torch on this show. We hate H.E.R.B.I.E., and seemingly so do Sue and Ben.

You wanna talk cartoons? Let's talk Christy Marx cartoons. There's The New Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends, G.I. Joe, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and X-Men: Evolution, to name but a few. Then there's Jem, in which she was not only head writer, but a co-creator. Same for Conan the Adventurer and Hypernauts. And if all that isn't enough, Christy is also a comics writer, having worked on her own series, Sisterhood of Steel (with recent guest Mike Vosburg), as well as Conan, Amethyst, and Birds of Prey books. You can follow Christy on her site christymarx.com, or on Twitter @christymarx and Instagram @christy.marx._____________________Dollar Bin Bandits is the official podcast of TwoMorrows Publishing. Buckle up gang for the newest Episode of Inner Demons! On tonight's show we have yet another awesome mix of new and classic reviews. First up, Is there a doctor in the house? We sure hope so, because in Ghost Rider # 6 (2022), poor old Johnny needs some desperate help from Wolverine from the deadly parasite trying to kill him. No need for a scalpel, though…Logan brought his own set. Next up in New Fantastic Four #4, the Ghost Rider and Father John Priest deal with a Mephisto monologue (the worst kind) and the rest of the team have their hands full with Dark Human Torch. Then, we go back in time to feudal Japan with Avengers #58 and the Ghost Ronin. Marvel at the prowess of this stoic warrior known as the ‘Sword Saint' as he slays all Mephisto's forces with ease. They sure could have used this guy to fight evil over the years! Now we jump back to another Jason Aaron tale of Ghost Rider Issue 25 where Blaze tussles with the fanatical Deacon. Watch those celestial blades JB…they slice and dice Ghost Riders! Next, we have a landmark double-sized Issue 25 from the 90s. Blackout gets the best of Poor Danny Ketch but is all hope lost for the Ghost Rider without a human host? Lastly…we go back to the 70s with GR #25 and encounter the villainous ‘MALICE!' He's evil for no real reason. Perhaps he should change his name to ‘CONFUSION!' And stay tuned for a fantastic #PostWritersGR segment and listener voicemail covering some of these comics. You can listen to the episode at the Vengeance Unbound page on BlogSpot, or you can download it from Stitcher, Apple Podcasts, or Google Podcasts and more. You can also find us on Facebook, just search for "Vengeance Unbound" and on Twitter under @InnerDemonsGR.Thanks for listening!

Where did you start for Rogue Sun?The hero in a super-suit is practically a trope at this point with Power Rangers and Gieger, why do you think this type of hero continues to interest audiences to this day?Abel's art is insane, with a thin detailed line that sets this book apart, how did you two connect for this project? In the grand scheme of things if given unlimited resources, how long would Rogue Sun run on for as a series?Dylan is an intriguing character because he's also a troubled bully, which is a unique angle. What made you take this track for the protagonist?Super minor detail but, I love the fake store names like Wallgrans, is that something you write in the script or something Abel adds? The superhero crossover is always exciting, I think people lost their minds when Invincible and Spider-Man teamed up. Are there any team-ups you dream about for Rogue Sun?The Eltarian War is nearing its end and I have to say the story has been epic at every turn. Is there an art to creating fulfilling cliffhangers on an epic scale? If given the powers or Rogue Sun, what would you do?

And now a rambling and too brief review of "The New Fantastic Four" by Walt Simonson & Arthur Adams, which first appeared in "Fantastic Four" #347-349 in 1990, in which Ghost Rider, Spider-Man, the Hulk and Wolverine replace the classic team.
A true legend of the printed page, Walt Simonson is here to tell his tales to the Bandits. We start with his early career putting together the Star Slammers and making his way to the revival of DC's Manhunter in the '70s. Then we peer into the darkness with the Epic mini-series Meltdown (with Havok and Wolverine) and finally into some lighter Marvel with Beta Ray Bill, the New Fantastic Four, and Gilgamesh. Yes, Gilgamesh. You can find Walt on Facebook (facebook.com/waltsimonson), @WalterSimonson on Twitter, and @walter.simonson.5 on Instagram._____________________________________________Protect and display your comics with supplies from BCW Supplies.
