Der Olympia-Winter nimmt jetzt so richtig Fahrt auf, und in der Jahresauftakt-Folge des Dreierbobs ist das nicht nur ein sprachliches Bild. Zu Gast diesmal: Michael Rösch, Biathlon-Olympiasieger 2006, TV-Experte bei Eurosport - und mittlerweile auch bekannt geworden mit ausgefallenen Ideen. Zum 20. Mal jährt sich in diesem Februar sein größter sportlicher Erfolg, und wieder finden die Olympischen Winterspiele in Italien statt. Das sind die Eckpfeiler von Röschs neuestem Projekt. Mit einem Fiat Panda, seit Kindertagen sein Lieblingsauto, will er sich auf den Weg zu Olympia machen, um als TV-Experte im Einsatz zu sein - und um auf dem Weg dorthin Spenden einzusammeln. 44 Sportlerinnen und Sportlern mit geistiger Behinderung sowie zwölf Begleitpersonen ohne Behinderung soll damit die Teilnahme an den Special Olympics im Juni in Saarbrücken ermöglicht werden. „Es war eigentlich eine Schnapsidee, als es um das Jubiläum meines Olympiasiegs ging – und nun ist dieses große Projekt daraus geworden“, sagt Rösch, der seit vielen Jahren in Dresden lebt und die Aktion mit der Lebenshilfe Dresden sowie der Stiftung Lichtblick umsetzt. Der Clou: Jeder Spender, der ihm zudem ein Foto zuschickt, ist dann auch bei Olympia mit dabei. Denn Rösch lässt die Bilder auf den Fiat drucken. Die Aktion mit den Fotos läuft bis zum 26. Januar (gespendet werden kann noch länger), dann wird der Oldtimer startklar gemacht. Und am 2. Februar fährt der 42-Jährige los ins 800 Kilometer entfernte Antholz, wo die olympischen Biathlon-Wettbewerbe ausgetragen werden. Die Dreierbob-Hosts Tino Meyer und Fabian Deicke haben direkt während der Podcast-Aufnahme ihre Spende inklusive Foto abgeschickt. Wer das auch machen will: Hier geht es zur Aktion auf der Plattform „Gofundme“ Und natürlich blickt Rösch im Podcast auch aus sportlicher Sicht auf den Saisonhöhepunkt, spricht über Ambitionen und Aussichten der deutschen Athletinnen und Athleten und insbesondere auch von Justus Strelow, Sachsens besten Biathleten. Herausfordernd für ihn wie alle anderen: Die Sportstätten von Antholz liegen auf etwa 1600 Meter Höhe, was eine besondere Vorbereitung verlangt. Auf die Frage, ob drei Biathlon-Medaillen fürs deutsche Team bei Olympia realistisch sind, muss Rösch nicht lange überlegen. „Es können auch viel mehr werden“, meint er, wohlwissend dass gerade beim Saisonhöhepunkt mit den fünf Ringen vieles zusammenpassen muss. So wie vor 20 Jahren, als Rösch als zweiter Starter mit zwei Schnellfeuereinlagen am Schießstand die deutsche Mannschaft auf Goldkurs brachte. Auch davon erzählt er im Dreierbob, und er verrät seine Vorsätze fürs neue Jahr.

Du bist jemand, der immer macht und tut. Was treibt dich an? Viele sprechen von Work-Life-Balance, aber bei dir habe ich das Gefühl, du bist immer „on fire". Work-Life-Balance ist ein ambivalenter Begriff, weil er Arbeit und Leben als Gegensätze darstellt. Arbeiten oder leben – das ist eigentlich traurig. Denn es suggeriert, dass Arbeit etwas ist, das man möglichst vermeiden sollte. Ich habe einmal ein philosophisches Buch gelesen, das Arbeit neu definiert hat: Alles, wofür wir Energie einsetzen, ist Arbeit. Ob wir Geld verdienen, uns ehrenamtlich engagieren, Freundschaften pflegen, lernen, Familie leben oder Zeit für uns haben – all das ist Arbeit. Wenn alles Arbeit ist, gibt es kein Leben ohne Arbeit. Diese Sichtweise hilft mir sehr, bewusster zu entscheiden, wo ich meine Energie investiere. Dann ist es auch kein Problem zu sagen: Ich arbeite viel. Was soll ich sonst tun? Arbeit ist Leben. Wenn man mich fragt, wann ich in Rente gehe, sage ich: Rente ist für mich ein schreckliches Wort. Nichts mehr zu tun – das wäre doch schade. Diese Trennung zwischen Arbeit und Leben ist historisch neu. Erst seit der industriellen Revolution gibt es sie. Früher war der Beruf Teil des Lebens – oft sogar der Familienname. In Deutschland wird Arbeit immer weiter reduziert, während in anderen Ländern deutlich mehr gearbeitet wird. Das kommt aus der Haltung, dass Arbeiten etwas Negatives sei. Ein Beispiel: Jemand bastelt stundenlang an seinem Oldtimer. Für ihn ist es keine Arbeit, sondern Freude. Die gleiche Tätigkeit kann – je nach innerer Haltung – Belastung oder Erfüllung sein. Der Angler nennt es Freizeit, der Fischer nennt es Arbeit. Nicht die Tätigkeit entscheidet, sondern die Haltung. Gesellschaften verkünsteln oft das natürliche Lebensumfeld des Menschen. Wir leben – oder halten uns selbst – häufig nicht artgerecht. Du hast ein Unternehmen mit rund 130 Mitarbeitenden aufgebaut. Hattest du das geplant? Nein. Größe war nie ein Ziel. Es ging um Neugier, interessante Projekte und die Frage: Kriege ich das hin? Es gab keinen Businessplan, sondern einen Entwicklungsprozess: Was kann ich gut? Wo liegen meine Talente? Wie entsteht daraus Mehrwert? Ich bin seit 1987 selbstständig, also seit 38 Jahren. Studiert habe ich Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen und später in Psychologie promoviert – zum Thema Arbeitszufriedenheit. Mein Weg war eher zufällig: Ein Praktikum bei Daimler führte mich in die Beratung. Ich wusste damals nicht einmal, was Unternehmensberatung ist. Eigentlich wollte ich Pilot werden, wurde aber wegen Kurzsichtigkeit nicht genommen. Also bin ich einen anderen Weg gegangen – durch Chancen und Menschen, die an mich geglaubt haben. Auch die Selbstständigkeit war kein spontaner Entschluss, sondern eine Entwicklung. Trotz des hohen Freizeitwerts ist man auch im Sommer oft allein am Strand und trifft auf dem Coastal Path beim Wandern selten auf andere Spaziergänger. Immer noch sind die Kanalinseln eine Art Geheimtipp unter Reisenden. Statt durch ein ausgeklügeltes Tourismuskonzept gelenkt zu werden, darf man hier am Leben des kleinen autonomen Inselstaats, dem Bailiwick of Jersey, teilhaben: das Hauptstadtleben in St. Helier schnuppern, surfen, kayaken und mit dem geliehenen Oldtimer durch die schmalen Gassen fahren. Oder man hält in einer der 30 Meeresbuchten die Füße in die Brandung und schlürft ein paar frische Austern, die vor der Küste sorgsam gezogen werden. Jana Magdanz kennt nach vielen Reisen die Insel wie ihre Westentasche und teilt in Zwischen Hamburg und Haiti ihre liebsten Ausflugsziele. Vor allem aber schwärmt sie von der Freundlichkeit der Einheimischen, die trotz ihrer tragisch geteilten Geschichte mit Deutschland, nichts lieber tun, als mit deutschen Urlaubern darüber ins Gespräch zu kommen.
