Send us a text & leave your email address if you want a reply!Picture this: January 2021, middle of the pandemic. After 25 years of marriage, Zeke and Terri finally admitted what everyone already knew. They weren't happy. They weren't good for each other anymore. Their kids responded to the divorce announcement with "it's about time." For ten years, they'd danced around separation, taking turns being the one who wasn't ready to let go. During their first week living separately (Zeke had moved into their son's bedroom), Terri went through her own emotional journey. By Saturday, driving to tennis with gorgeous weather and great music, she felt ready for whatever came next. One thing she definitely wanted was really good sex. She wanted to reclaim who she'd been before marriage, rediscover her midlife body, understand what she actually enjoyed. That evening, she made a proposition that changed everything: "What do you think about having sex? I want to reclaim who I am. I want to experiment." What happened was the beginning of what Terri calls "sexploration." With no pressure, no obligation, no expectations about their relationship's future, they started playing. Terri researched toys, techniques, videos. She centered her own pleasure instead of everyone else's needs. They became vulnerable with each other. They communicated about everything. Most surprisingly, they started falling back in love, but this time consciously, intentionally, with completely different ground rules.KEY INSIGHTSWeekly relationship check-ins prevent small issues from becoming marriage-ending problems using five essential questionsSexual exploration without obligation transforms intimacy when women take responsibility for their own pleasureDaily recommitment builds security while honoring choice, with morning "I love you" commitments replacing trapped feelingsDivorcing your old relationship to consciously create a new one works better than trying to fix what's brokenSeparating love and sex allows you to rediscover both and reunify them more powerfullySide-by-side positioning against problems prevents the destructive pattern of facing off against each otherLINKS & RESOURCES MENTIONED IN THE EPISODE CAN BE FOUND HERE ON THE WEBSITELAST 10x LONGER. **Shame doesn't just make you feel bad, it fundamentally shapes how you experience your own body and desires.** Returning guest Dr. Alison Ash breaks down exactly why shame is so destructive to sexual wellness. Unlike guilt (which says you did something wrong), shame tells you that *you yourself* are wrong, creating a deep fear of rejection that literally dysregulates your nervous system. This isn't something we're born with. It develops through early experiences where we internalize negative reactions, eventually becoming that harsh inner critic voice. The contradictory messages are especially confusing: women should look desirable but not actually desire, while men should always be sexually available yet their desire is somehow dangerous. These cultural and religious influences create confusion that conscious rejection alone can't fix. Here's where it gets interesting: empathy is shame's antidote. When someone truly accepts you without judgment, healing becomes possible. (This is why finding sex-positive communities matters so much.) Dr. Aly explains how even BDSM can be healing for trauma survivors through consensual power exchange—reclaiming control over experiences where they previously had none. What if the fantasies or interests that make you feel broken are actually completely normal? Ready to understand the difference between your own feelings and society's expectations? This conversation offers practical strategies for recognizing shame's sources and reclaiming your agency. There's a science-backed wellness tool that can help with all of these symptoms and more—but it's been wrapped in shame for far too long. In this episode, we're having an honest, research-based conversation about vibrators as legitimate health tools for midlife women, and why sexual wellness is essential wellness. This episode explores how vibrators support women's health during perimenopause and menopause, backed by compelling research from the Kinsey Institute and other studies. You'll discover why the clitoris is the primary source of orgasm for 80% of women, how external vibration improves pelvic floor health without requiring orgasm, and why midlife libido shifts from spontaneous to responsive desire. We'll bust harmful myths, discuss different types of vibrators, share practical guidance on choosing and using them, and explain how regular use can improve sleep, mood, stress levels, lubrication, and menopause symptoms. This is a shame-free, science-grounded guide to reclaiming your pleasure and vitality. Key Takeaways / Main Points: • Research shows women ages 40-65 rated self-pleasure at 4.35 out of 5 for menopause symptom relief, more effective than many lifestyle changes • The clitoris contains over 10,000 nerve endings and external stimulation is how 80% of women experience orgasm • Gentle external vibration for just 5-10 minutes, 2-3 times weekly improves pelvic floor relaxation, reduces UTIs, eases vaginal dryness, and relieves painful intercourse • Vibrators increase blood flow to genital tissue, restore sensitivity lost to declining estrogen, and help your body remember pleasure • Orgasms release dopamine, oxytocin, and endorphins that regulate mood, lower cortisol, improve sleep, and strengthen your pelvic floorCheck out Gabriella's Intimacy Holiday Gift Guide for curated vibrator recommendations, lubricants, and sensual essentials to support your journey. Send us a textEpisode 692: People pleasers and all people listen up!Surprisingly, boundaries don't push people away, they actually strengthen connection. Dr. Alison Ash returns to unpack sexual boundaries, especially for those who struggle to say no.Boundaries aren't just about your values; they're about your capacity, the fluctuating energy and resources available to you based on sleep, stress, and nervous system regulation. When you're dysregulated and operating outside your window of tolerance, you become reactive and frustrated. (Most of us consistently overestimate what we can handle.)Dr. Aly shares a practical three-part formula for setting boundaries that helps others feel heard rather than rejected.Key Takeaways:• Boundaries aren't selfish, they're based on your actual capacity, which fluctuates daily based on sleep, stress, and nervous system regulation, making them a realistic necessity rather than a character flaw.• The "window of tolerance" explains why you get reactive. When dysregulated, you become irritable and struggle to enforce boundaries, so managing your nervous system is as important as stating your limits.• Healthy boundaries actually filter out unhealthy relationships, meaning people who respect your "no" strengthen the relationship, while those who don't reveal incompatibility, not rejection of them as people.Discussion topics;Sexuality, sexual health, sexual wellness, relationships, mental healthUnderstanding Your Capacity and Setting/maintaining Healthy Boundaries without guilt and while maintaining connection Feeling Safe Saying No Builds TrustUnderstanding Trauma and Nervous System DysregulationManaging Trauma Response Through Nervous System CareCommunication and Pacing in Exploring KinkSubstance Use and Consent in Sexual ExplorationLearning From Past Experiences and Building Intimacy SkillsSex Gets Better With Age and ConfidenceConnect with Dr. Aly:Sexual and Emotional Intimacy Skills online course on Tues, Jan 27th-Mar 17thWe all receive messages about who we are supposed to be, how we ought to feel, and how we should express ourselves, often enforced through shame and disconnection. From birth recovery to everyday stress, we map the signals of dysfunction—leaking, painful sex, low back aches—and share practical ways to release first, then rebuild.Heather brings two decades of global education and research to the mic, translating clinical insights into everyday steps. We talk pelvic wands and why glass can be a cleaner, safer choice than silicone. We unpack tantric-informed breath and sensory pacing to calm the nervous system and increase orgasm quality. We even challenge a common myth: sometimes Kegels are the villain if your floor is already too tight. Consider this your toolkit for resolving hypertonicity, finding comfort, and restoring confidence. Then we get chemical: vaginal pH and osmolality. You'll learn why an isoosmolar lubricant around 290 mOsm/kg protects your epithelial barrier, how many popular lubes overshoot into tissue-damaging territory, and how to spot red flags on labels. We cover FDA clearance, biome-matched washes and wipes, smarter strategies for recurrent UTIs, and new, chemical-free period wear designed from aloe-based fabrics. Along the way, we tackle sexual shame, advocate for pelvic PT as standard prenatal care, and share ways to raise kids with body literacy and consent as their compass. If you're ready to replace confusion with clarity—and pain with possibility—this conversation gives you science you can feel. Subscribe, share with a friend who needs it, and leave a review with your biggest takeaway so we can keep these essential conversations flowing.Find Desert Harvest online at:https://desertharvest.com/https://www.instagram.com/desertharvestaloevera/ Support the show

What does sexual wellness mean? It's fundamentally about communication. It involves discussing your sexual health, including the disclosure of STDs, your flexibility and comfort with different sexual positions, your kinks, your birth control methods, and your libido or the frequency of your desire for sex. I also delve into the frequency of your orgasms. The health benefits of frequent orgasms have yet to be fully studied. We know they provide a super boost of healthy chemicals, but we don't fully understand the lasting effects emotionally, psychologically, or physically, especially concerning menopause. It's a muscle worth training. In the weekly relationship reading, we discuss competing for a high-value partner and what to do when they are being pursued by others as well. It's a third-party situation, and I transition into a conversation about golf, using metaphors related to hazards and letting loose women play through. Was it a hole in one? I don't know. Ultimately, it's about what brings you joy. It's time to make your sexual well-being a priority, which means doing pelvic floor exercises, using protection, and establishing a regular self-care sexual routine where you don't just focus on your steps, but also on achieving orgasms! ⚠️ These are performances and for entertainment purposes only. Send us a textEp 672: The Unfiltered Truth: What it's like to be an Adult Performer in the Industry with Dante Diggz. Hear it straight from Dante who strives to spread Industry Awareness about what it's really like within the community of the Adult Industry. Sex is labeled as evil and bad by many, hear from a man who speaks his mind about sex, sexuality, and culture. Don't miss as he shares his personal story of sexuality, sexual health, sexual wellness, what it means to perform for the camera, and how this career has affected his personal love life.# From Warehouse Worker to Adult Industry Success: The Dante Diggz Story**Ever wondered what it really takes to transition from a regular 9-to-5 to becoming a successful adult performer?** Dante Diggz shares his incredible journey from working at a warehouse to becoming a recognized name in the adult entertainment industry. In this eye-opening episode, Dante reveals how his background in fitness and the swinger lifestyle naturally led him into content creation when his personal training business declined during the pandemic. He breaks down the realities of turning sexuality into a profession - from the technical challenges of performing while managing camera angles to the rigorous safety protocols that define the industry. The conversation dives deep into what makes someone truly skilled in intimacy, with Dante emphasizing that great lovers prioritize their partner's pleasure and practice selfless attention to detail. He also discusses the business side, including his Urban X Award nominations, building a brand beyond performing, and the strategic decisions that drive content creation.Dante doesn't shy away from the sacrifices either - the loss of privacy, relationship challenges, and how the work requires treating intimate moments as professional productions rather than personal connections.**Ready to hear the unfiltered truth about turning passion into profession? Listen to the full episode now.**Connect with Dante Diggz on social media platforms as dantediggz https://instagram.com/dantediggz99Find him also associated with Red Bottom Productions.Key Takeaways:• A blue‑collar-to-content-creator pivot: Dante left a warehouse job and personal‑training to monetize sexuality—driven by a swinger lifestyle and fitness—showing sex work can emerge from everyday jobs and subcultures. • Sex as craft, not intimacy: performers deliberately frame scenes as production—focused on stamina, tailored technique, attentiveness—and separate personal intimacy from on‑camera work. • Safety and business savvy matter: routine testing, careful navigation of platform limits, awards/fame, and a strategic shift toward production/branding are central to a sustainable career in paid content.
