Trump showed up with Elon to America First Policy Institute's event at Mar-a-lago. When the emcee asked "where is the George Soros of the right?" Elon emphatically raised his hand. Trump is shaking up everything in Washington DC and liberal brains are melting and exploding everywhere. Most attacked are being launched at Attorney General nominee Matt Gaetz. Gaetz is sharp, well-educated, loyal to Trump and has a record of going toe-to-toe in Congressional hearings with both the FBI director Christopher Wray and current US Attorney General Merrick Garland. Gaetz is set to drop a nuke on the deep state if he gets nominated in the Senate. Pete Hegseth's credibility is being questioned even though he's a combat veteran, received 2 bronze stars for tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, has a BA from Princeton and a Master's degree from Harvard. What libs are really worried about is that he will make our military battle ready and dismantle the woke nightmare we've been living in. Our panel gives us their take on the rest of Trump's picks and how they will serve in their new roles. The cherry on top, Trump nominates RFK Jr as the United States Secretary of Health and Human Services. What a glorious time we are entering! House Oversight Chairman James Comer last month released a statement after the DOJ rebuffed his committee's request for the audio recordings. “The Biden Administration does not get to determine what Congress needs and does not need for its oversight of the executive branch,” Comer said.

Today I need to jump into the DOJ interference in any and all investigations where they have friends, while throwing the book at their political opposition. But, before we can go there, I have to make a statement about the ongoing delusions held by some that just because they want to create hundreds of new names and orientations to make themselves feel better about their own mental health issues and personal predilections, that does not obligate me to participate. I do not need a word to tell me what I am not. It's insulting, it's infantile and I am not going to coddle those who suffer from such issues. To add a little extra emphasis for the problems inherent in many within the transgenderism movement, let's take a moment to remind everyone about a guy who wants to be called Stacie Marie Laughton. Stacie was the nation' first transgender lawmaker who came into state office in 2012. Laughton resigned shortly after election after he was caught in a credit card fraud scheme. Then Laughton received a 6 month prison sentence for calling in a bomb threat to a hospital. And yesterday, he was arrested for distributing child pornography. See what I mean? This gets us to a quote today from US Attorney General Merrick Garland. After being asked about all of the evidence and accusations of having a two-tiered justice system, the simpering whiner did his best to refute the claims and cry about it to a sympathetic Legacy/mainstream media. He says this in light of the presser given yesterday by the House Ways and Means Committee. In that presentation, IRS whistleblowers have testified to repeated DOJ interference in the Hunter Biden investigation, repeated delays and initiating reprisals against the them for bringing their concerns forward. A WhatsApp message from Hunter even states that a Chinese businessman needs to pay up because his dad was in the room and if he didn't then his dad (Dear Old Joe) would make sure he regrets it. Hunter is demanding payment or says his dad will use his power to go after him. Investigators presented overwhelming evidence of DOJ and Justice Department interference and yet AG Garland wants to gaslight us into thinking it's all make believe. In another story, since the debt ceiling deal, it seems our Fed and Treasury Department have managed to drain over $150 billion dollars in market liquidity and will likely hit $200 billion by the end of August. This is leading some financial strategists to be concerned over both the stock market and the financial solvency of the banking sector. The CDC dropped a new bombshell quietly in a presentation over vaccine efficacy. Seems we are now looking at those who have been negative have a negative efficacy versus those who have never had it. In other words, you are more likely to be hospitalized if you have been vaccinated versus those have not. Finally, Bud Light has a new ad campaign out. Unfortunately, if they thought their dalliance with a male prancing unicorn who mocks women as a bad marketing move, I think they managed to make their bad situation even worse. There latest ad seems to be a caricature mockery of how the elitists on the Left think about the average American. It's really, really bad. *) US air force employee in custody over classified Pentagon documents leak The FBI has arrested an employee of the US Air Force National Guard over leaks of classified documents. US Attorney General Merrick Garland said the FBI arrested 21-year-old Jack Teixeira in connection with the online leaks, which the Pentagon called a "deliberate, criminal act”. Some of the most sensitive leaked details are related to Ukraine's military capabilities and shortcomings, as well as information about US allies including Israel and South Korea. *) Ukraine reports unrelenting Russian attacks on besieged Bakhmut Russia's military has pressed on with its unrelenting attacks on the war-ravaged eastern Ukrainian city of Bakhmut while continuing to shell the southern city of Kherson. Ukrainian Deputy Defence Minister Hanna Malyar said heavy fighting gripped all parts of the eastern front. She said pro-Kiev forces repelled attacks in most areas. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and other senior officials are pressing allies for more weapons that Kiev hopes will enable it to launch a major counter-offensive later this year. *) Brazilian President Lula slams US dollar in China tour Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has criticised the outsized role of the US dollar in the world economy during an official visit to China. Lula questioned who decided that the dollar would be the world's currency and why countries should be tied to it for trade. He made the remarks in Shanghai during the inauguration of his political ally, Dilma Rousseff, who has been named president of the new development bank set up by BRICS nations to counter the IMF and the World Bank. Lula also had strong words for the IMF, alluding to accusations that the organisation forces harsh spending cuts on cash-strapped countries in exchange for bailout loans. *) North Korea tests new solid-fuel ICBM Hwasong-18 North Korea said it successfully tested for the first time a solid-fuel intercontinental ballistic missile known as Hwasong-18, hailing it as a key breakthrough for the country's nuclear counterattack capabilities. All of Pyongyang's previously known intercontinental ballistic missiles have been liquid-fuelled. Such solid-fıuel missiles are easier to store and transport, more stable and quicker to prepare for launch and thus harder to detect and destroy preemptively. South Korea's military had earlier said that a launch conducted by the North was likely a new type of ballistic missile. The launch briefly triggered a seek shelter order in parts of Japan. *) Trump testifies for seven hours in New York fraud lawsuit Donald Trump has testified under oath for around seven hours in a New York civil case that accuses him and three of his children of business fraud. The behind-closed-doors deposition on Thursday came a week after the former US president's historic arraignment on criminal charges in a Manhattan courtroom in a separate case. The 76-year-old Republican is facing a slew of state, federal and congressional probes that threaten his bid to regain the presidency in next year's election.
*) Saudi engineer walks free from Guantanamo prison after 21 years The United States has announced the release from Guantanamo military prison of a Saudi engineer seized over two decades ago as a suspect in the September 11 attacks. 48-year-old Ghassan Al Sharbi was detained in Pakistan in March 2002. The US military had weighed charges against Al Sharbi and several others but dropped them in 2008. Thirty-one detainees remain at Guantanamo, down from a peak of nearly 800. Of them, 17 are eligible for transfer. *) Soldiers say fall of Kabul was US failure with blame touching Bush to Biden Active-service members and veterans have provided firsthand testimony about the chaotic US withdrawal from Afghanistan, describing in detail the carnage they witnessed on the ground. The majority of witnesses argued to Congress that the fall of Kabul was an American failure with blame touching every presidential administration from George W. Bush to Joe Biden. The initial hearing was the first of what is expected to be a series of Republican-led hearings examining the Biden administration's handling of the withdrawal. *) Colombia, ELN rebels to hold next phase of peace talks in Cuba Colombia's government and National Liberation Army (ELN) rebels will hold a third round of talks in Cuba aimed at ending decades of armed conflict, the two sides have said. According to a statement, the dialogue has made "substantial progress" since resuming in Mexico on February 13, following a first round in Venezuela in November. The negotiators reported late last month that the Colombian government had recognised the National Liberation Army (ELN) as a political organisation in order to advance the process. *) Damning probe finds US police in Louisville discriminate against Black residents An investigation conducted by the US Justice Department has found that American police in the Louisville city of Kentucky state routinely discriminate against Black residents. The report comes nearly two years after US Attorney General Merrick Garland launched the investigation into the department whose officers shot and killed Breonna Taylor. The investigation found a wide-ranging pattern of misconduct by police, including the use of excessive force and the conduct of illegal searches. And finally… *) Netherlands announces plans to curb tech exports after US pressure The Dutch government has announced plans for new export restrictions on technology to make computer chips, following pressure from the United States to restrict Chinese access. The Netherlands, Europe's premier maker of the machines that help manufacture microchips, has been pushed to impose curbs similar to those announced by Washington last year. The government said the aim of the export controls was to prevent military use, and to protect the Netherlands' "unique and leading position".

According to the Mexican newspaper El Financiero, the 53-year-old priest was shot from behind with two blasts of a shotgun. The homicide occurred in the Atotonilco el Alto district of the state of Jalisco. According to the initial investigation, the murder was apparently due to a dispute over land. The priest had been working since 2017 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in the town of Valle de Guadalupe. https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/253627/priest-shot-to-death-in-mexico The chief law enforcement officers from 20 states signed a letter to US Attorney General Merrick Garland condemning a since-retracted “anti-Catholic” leaked internal memorandum produced by the FBI's Richmond field office. Published February 8, the memo discusses launching an investigation into “radical-traditionalist” Catholics because of possible ties to “the far-right white nationalist movement.” The FBI confirmed to CNA on February 9 that the document came from its Richmond field office and issued a statement retracting it. Melbourne National Socialist Network leader Thomas Sewell last Tuesday was sentenced to 150 hours of community service over 18 months at the Melbourne Magistrates Court after he was found guilty of affray and recklessly causing injury during his altercation with a Channel 9 security guard in March 2021. 9 News and A Current Affair aired hit pieces outraged that Sewell wasn't jailed. NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet's decision to make his 21st Birthday Party Nazi uniform confession was triggered by a warning by NSW Transport Minister David Elliot that a photo from that party in 2003 could surface before the March election. Last year Perrottet's Government banned the public display of the Nazi swastika making the wearing of such a uniform in public illegal. Many online have speculated the gambling lobby could be behind a potential leaking of a photo as Perrottet has backed recommendations for a cashless gaming card for pokies. US Attorney-General Merrick Garland has appointed Robert Hur to investigate the discovery of classified documents in Joe Biden's garage and at his University of Pennsyvina think tank. Joe Biden took these documents when he left the Vice Presidency at the end of the Obama Adminstraton. He claims the documents are secure in his garage because its locked next to his Corvette. The Biden Administration has declared war on gas stoves. Democrat Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has mocked Republicans for defending gas cooking, she claims they cause brain damage. But there might not be much food available to cook on a gas stove with the new potato famine in Australia and egg shortages in the US and NZ. US Attorney General Merrick Garland recently appointed Jack Smith as the special counsel who will be overseeing the investigation into former President Trump's handling of classified documents and his involvement in last year's Capitol Riots. Although Attorney General Garland claimed the appointment emphasized the Justice Department's commitment to independent investigations, many Republicans are questioning Smith's impartiality. Those same critics have also pointed to the DOJ's lack of action in regard to the allegations surrounding Hunter Biden. Earlier this week, Former Assistant US Attorney for the Southern District of New York and FOX News Contributor Andy McCarthy joined Rundown host Dave Anthony to discuss the nature of the Trump investigations, the impact they could have on the former President, and why he agrees with Republican lawmakers who say the DOJ is playing politics when it comes to investigation Hunter Biden and possible concerns about President Biden's role in his business affairs. Promises to Get AG Garland, Hunter Biden. The hosts for this show are Tim Apicella and Jay Fidell. The guest is Chuck Crumpton. It didn't take long for the House of Representatives--now under the thin margin of control by the GOP--to roll out their new policy objectives for the future. The only problem: it was very short on policy and more filled with a MAGA GOP wish list to attack US Attorney General Merrick Garland, and a déjà vu moment of a Benghazi-like investigation of Hunter Biden. The AG didn't help himself by appointing a new Special Council to take over the investigations of Trump, his role with the unauthorized storage of classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago home, and his role in the Jan 6 Capital attack. The panel explores the importance of the GOP's approach to interacting with the Biden Administration. This is spread out across a number of sites, but Facebook is at the top of the list. Now I’m sure a lot of you already have your alarm bells going off at this point, but don’t worry, it gets worse in a bit! The study found that 36% of U.S. adults said they “regularly” access Facebook to get news. This is a significantly larger percentage than almost any other social media platform, with the exception of YouTube, which is used regularly for news by 23% of U.S. adults. Beyond that, the percentages are much smaller. Even Trump’s preferred platform for communication (well, until recently), Twitter, is only used regularly for news by 15% of U.S. adults, Pew found. Only around one in 10 Americans or fewer said they regularly got their news from other social media platforms, including Instagram (11%), Reddit (6%), Snapchat (4%), LinkedIn (4%), TikTok (3%), WhatsApp (3%), Tumblr (1%) and Twitch (1%). Pew notes that the lower percentages for using these sites as a source of news also has to do with the fact that fewer Americans report using these sites at all. Pew additionally examined the demographic makeup of those who use social media for news, and found that white adults make up the majority of the regular news users for sites like Facebook and Reddit. Both Black and Hispanic adults, meanwhile, made up around a quarter of Instagram’s regular users (22% and 27%, respectively.) Facebook was found to also skew toward women (63% versus 35%) when it came to regularly using it getting the news, while Reddit skews toward men (67% versus 29%). Now, remember how I said it gets worse? Well take a listen to Facebook CEO and lizard-human hybrid, Mark Zuckerberg, on the Joe Rogan Podcast. Mark Zuckerberg Answers to Facebook's Moderation of Controversial Content-Play 5:02-6:42 I don’t know about you, but my b.s. Alarm bells are ringing… Mr. Zuckerberg, you definitely do know the percentage off the top of your head. That’s a bold-face-lie. Also, did you catch the part where Mr. Zuckerberg openly admitted the part where the FBI is in the business of fact checking now? That’s scary… who fact checks the FBI? Who holds the FBI accountable when they’ve gone rogue? You have to believe that either the FBI is so inept, or they’re lying, and tried to effect the outcome of the election. Who else comes to mind with fact-checking? The World Heath Organization? The CDC? Who’s fact checking them? Let’s dive into some statistics on the election results… https://nypost.com/2022/08/26/2020-election-outcome-would-differ-with-hunter-biden-laptop-coverage-poll/ 79% say ‘truthful’ coverage of Hunter Biden’s laptop would have changed 2020 election Nearly four of five Americans who’ve been following the Hunter Biden laptop scandal believe that “truthful” coverage would have changed the outcome of the 2020 presidential election, according to a new poll. A similar percentage also said they’re convinced that information on the computer is real, with just 11% saying they thought it was “created by Russia,” according to the survey conducted by the New Jersey-based Technometrica Institute of Policy and Politics. And an even higher number — 81% — said US Attorney General Merrick Garland should appoint a special counsel to investigate matters related to the first son’s infamous laptop, the existence of which was exclusively revealed by The Post in October 2020. The poll results, published Wednesday, are based on responses from 437 adults who said they were following the laptop story “very” or “somewhat” closely when they were surveyed online earlier this month, according to the TIPP. On the subject of the 2020 election, 79% overall said it was “very” or “somewhat” likely that “a truthful interpretation of the laptop” would have resulted in the reelection of former President Donald Trump instead of the election of President Biden. Among Republicans, 57% were strongly convinced Trump would have won, compared to 48% of independents and just 44% of Democrats. But majorities in both parties — 89% of Republicans and 61% of Democrats — said they believed the laptop “is real,” along with 74% of independents. I wonder, how the electoral map would have looked with these findings in mind? Hmmmm… I’ll leave that to you guys… Moving on… https://dailycaller.com/2022/08/30/us-military-ammunition-arming-ukraine/ US Military Running Low On Ammo After Arming Ukraine Pentagon officials are concerned that U.S. ammunition stocks donated to Ukraine have severely depleted U.S. stocks, weakening U.S. readiness in the event of a conflict, The Wall Street Journal reported Monday. The Biden administration has drawn much of the over $13 billion in weapons systems and accompanying ammunition the U.S. has provided to Ukraine from existing arsenals, according to the WSJ. While the Department of Defense has declined to disclose the number of ammunition rounds in storage at the beginning of 2022, before the war in Ukraine began, it has taken few steps to replenish depleting stocks, sparking worries that the U.S. may not have the ammunition it needs for its own protection. The level of 155mm combat rounds, fired by the howitzer weapons system, in U.S. stockpiles has become “uncomfortably low,” a Pentagon official told the WSJ. The U.S. has sent 806,000 rounds of the 100-pound explosives to Ukraine as of Aug. 24. “It is not at the level we would like to go into combat,” the defense official told the WSJ. U.S.-supplied howitzers have seen extended use from Ukrainian forces since entering the conflict in late May, Fox News reported. Last week, the U.S. provided smaller 105mm ammunition to feed Ukraine’s howitzers in order to spare 155mm rounds for the U.S., according to the WSJ. The U.S. military most recently employed howitzers in a strike on Iran-backed targets in Syria on Aug. 24. Depleting U.S. arsenals “was forewarned, including from industry leaders to the Pentagon. And it was easily fixable,” Mackenzie Eaglen, a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, told the WSJ. The Army plans to conduct a “deep dive” into the “ammunitions industrial base” to determine the best way to support Ukraine while retaining necessary supplies for the U.S., Army officials told the WSJ. It has requested an additional $500 million yearly for upgrades to ammunition factories and increasing the threshold on existing production contracts, but has not signed any new contracts. Officials also said that Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley authorized monthly reviews of U.S. weapons stores to monitor readiness. However, defense industry leaders said the administration has not clearly communicated the changes in production requirements brought on by U.S. assistance to Ukraine and has not expanded production capacity to make up for the additional munitions needed to replenish stocks. The Biden administration has requested a record $773 billion defense budget for 2023. While additional funding can alleviate part of the problem, ongoing supply chain issues can make the months or years-long manufacturing process take even longer, according to the WSJ. According to The Oregonian, in January, a delivery driver found some broken, industrial-size bolts on the ground near one of Portland General Electric’s towering wind turbines but did not know who to tell and used it as a paperweight. On Feb 1 at 2:11 am, one of the turbine’s 11-story tall blades flew the full length of a football field and plowed a 4-feet deep furrow in a wheat field. The heavy-duty bolts that kept the blade attached to the tower scattered like shrapnel. PGE’s flagship wind facility, which opened 15 years ago to expand green energy technology in Oregon and nationally had other warning signs as well according to the outlet but it wasn’t until the blade breakdown that the company took action at Biglow Canyon, one of Oregon’s largest wind farms, and shut down all 217 turbines for testing, keeping some out of service for four months. Though industry groups insist that wind farms are very safe and major malfunctions are rare, wind farms are growing older and components are aging. An investigation by The Oregonian found a massive set of maintenance problems and equipment failures that are reducing electricity generation at Biglow Canyon. According to the outlet, "there is no effective national, state or county reporting requirement or database tracking safety or operational incidents at wind farms, and only 13 of the largest of Oregon’s 48 wind farms are regulated by the state, numbers that include multiple phases of some projects." Additionally, PGE launched an investigation into the blade throw but has asked the Oregon Department of Energy to keep those confidential until the end of the year because of the possibility of litigation. To eliminate all its greenhouse emissions, PGE would need to massively increase its renewable energy resources and manage them effectively for decades. However, wind power is heavily dependent on federal subsidies, and according to experts consulted by The Oregonian, "those subsidies are structured in a way that incentivizes operators to skimp on maintenance for older equipment that is no longer eligible." https://www.boundingintosports.com/2022/08/washington-commanders-rb-brian-robinson-shot-during-attempted-robbery-in-d-c/ And finally, it’s time for the topic that I love… sports! Washington Commanders RB Brian Robinson Shot During Attempted Robbery In D.C. No one is immune from crime in America’s cities these days, and this weekend residents of Washington D.C. were especially reminded of that when Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson, 23, was shot multiple times during an attempted robbery on Sunday. According to the NFL’s Mike Garafolo, Robinson was rushed to the hospital by emergency responders after the violent attack, reporting that “#Commanders RB Brian Robinson is in stable condition after being shot as the victim in an attempted robbery, sources say.” As the news regarding the situation broke, the Washington Commanders followed up by issuing an immediate statement to alert fans that Robinson was alive and safe. Additional information regarding details from the shooting came later from NFL Network Insider, Tom Pelissero, who was one of the first people to share the information online after receiving a statement from a D.C. Police spokesperson. According to a report from NBC Washington, Robinson got into an altercation with several suspects shortly after midnight Sunday as they attempted to steal his Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat. It was that altercation which led to the shooting. Late Sunday night, Commanders Head Coach Ron Rivera met with Robinson and later posted to Twitter that Robinson was in “good spirits” to ease everyone’s anxiety regarding his current health. Robinson is now but one of the many innocent D.C. bystanders who have been victims of violent crime this year alone. According to D.C. Police crime statistics, there have been 126 people killed via homicide just in 2022, which is a 12 percent increase from this time last year. Violent crimes and cases regarding burglary have also risen five percent since 2021, with robberies up 20 percent, and car thefts up three percent. Well Praise God this one ended with Robinson walking away. This has been Garrison Hardie with your CrossPolitic Daily News Brief. If you liked the show, hit that share button down below. Doc clarifies the issues around threats toward school officials, discusses the National School Board Association's (NSBA) under-informed hyperbolic letter to president Biden, Attorney General Merrick Garland's knee jerk memo directing the FBI to figure out strategies to address school threats within the next 30 days, reactions from state-level school board associations, and how your local school district board of education might implement changes including recording audiences attending board of education (BOE) meetings. Doc matches solutions to these issues and also refreshes our minds to how similar matters have been effectively addressed in the past, including FDR's 1930s letter writing campaign. NSBA LETTER TO BIDEN REGARD THREATS TO SCHOOLS. On September 29, 2021, the NSBA, an advocacy group, sent a letter to President Biden with the heading: Federal Assistance to Stop Threats and Acts of Violence Against Public Schoolchildren, Public School Board Members, and Other Public School District Officials and Educators. In the letter, NSBA rolled off this 97-word sentence in which it put some parents in the arena with domestic terrorists: “As these acts of malice, violence, and threats against public school officials have increased, the classification of these heinous actions could be the equivalent to a form of domestic terrorism and hate crimes. As such, NSBA requests a joint expedited review by the U.S. Departments of Justice, Education, and Homeland Security, along with the appropriate training, coordination, investigations, and enforcement mechanisms from the FBI, including any technical assistance necessary from, and state and local coordination with, its National Security Branch and Counterterrorism Division, as well as any other federal agency with relevant jurisdictional authority and oversight.” AG GARLAND MEMO TO FBI. On October 4, 2021, US Attorney General Merrick Garland send a memorandum to the Director of Federal Bureau of Investigation directing the FBI to convene meetings with federal, state, local, Tribal, and territorial leaders in each federal judicial district within 30 days in order to facilitate strategies for addressing threats against school administrators, board members, teachers, and staff, and will open dedicated lines of communication for threat reporting, assessment, and response. STATE SCHOOL BOARD CHAPTERS NOT ON BOARD. The organization Parents Defending Education is curating a running tally of state school boards that have withdrawn from NSBA over the Biden letter (18 state school board associations have bailed from NSBA) as well as state school board associations answers to the following three questions: (1) As the [state association] has not yet commented on the National School Board Association's September 29 letter to President Biden that requested federal intervention in local school board issues – which likened civic participation to “domestic terrorism and hate crimes” and cited the Patriot Act – Parents Defending Education (PDE) would like to know whether your organization was involved in the creation of this letter and whether you agree with its substance and tone. If not, have you contacted the NSBA to let them know? (2) Can you please tell us how, going forward, your organization defines “intimidation,” harassment,” and “threat”? (3) Finally, do you plan to report individuals in your state to the U.S. Department of Justice – or do you believe that concerns can be adequately managed by local and state law enforcement? STATE RESPONSES BURN NSBA. It's apparent that state's are displeased with NSBA and the Garland Memo. Here's the Delaware School Board Association response to PDE's questions: “The DSBA has seen school board meeting protests, some of which have become quite impassioned, however we have received NO reports of violence or threats of violence toward school staff or school board members. The DSBA does NOT condone violence or threats of violence toward students, staff or board members. After consultation with the Governor's office, the Public Health Department and the Delaware Department of Education the DSBA developed and issued guidance to school board presidents regarding how to best handle school board meeting protests, which included the ultimate use of LOCAL law enforcement if absolutely necessary. This guidance was issued prior to the NSBA September 29 2021 letter. The NSBA letter to President Biden was unnecessary and quite frankly not helpful.” ARE THERE OTHER OPTIONS? Doc believes threats of violence toward school officials is happening, but over-stated by NSBA and Garland. Also, the National Threat Assessment Center has been effective in mitigating school threats for 20 years. Reviewing school board meeting video footage is at the bottom of the FBI's prioritization list. FDR ASKED FOR LETTERS. When FDR was president, the country was hammered by the Great Depression and fears of war. In his fireside chats, he asked listeners to write letters to him describing their plights. More than 8,000 letters a day arrived at the White House - many accusatory and fiery. Doc described why this approach worked, and how it might be one of the strategies considered to make people feel that they are being heard. FOLLOW DR. She shares some of the techniques and projects she developed in her classroom, that help law students better understand how they need to focus on the task at hand.
