You've been told to "just be more confident." But confidence isn't something you either have or you don't. It's a muscle, and it gets built before the moment demands it.In this episode, Tiffany sits down with Brian Kavicky, sales and leadership coach at Lushin and her mentor of fifteen years, to work through the questions women carry into every room but rarely say out loud: What do you do when you freeze mid-sentence? When someone takes credit for your idea? When you know you should speak up but can't make yourself do it? When the salary offer comes in low and you don't know if you're allowed to push back?Brian breaks down the difference between feedback and criticism — one gives you something to fix; the other can't. He explains why ambition shows up in behavior while self-promotion shows up in posture, and why almost nobody is actually self-promoting even though almost everybody is worried about it. He also names the single behavior behind most of the gender pay gap: women accept the first offer. Men don't.You'll walk away knowing how to:Tell real feedback from criticism, and what to do with eachSpeak up when your idea gets credited to someone elseState your accomplishments as fact without it feeling like braggingUse "I am" statements to rewire how you show up under pressureAsk for more money without riskThis is not a conversation about being more polished. Join us for the final installment of One True Book Club '26! In this series of episodes, we are reading the Hemingway-relevant selection, Under Fire by Henri Barbusse, the classic French WWI novel published in 1916.This episode covers the final chapters of the novel. We discuss how Barbusse balances graphic, grotesque depictions of the dead with artistic restraint; we analyze anti-war themes throughout this section, including Corporal Bertrand's powerful speech; and we reflect on the "ray of light" symbolism at the end of the book.Throughout the discussion, we connect our reading to other works by Hemingway: “Chapter X” of In Our Time [They whack-whacked the horse…], A Farewell to Arms, For Whom the Bell Tolls, Men at War, “A Natural History of the Dead," and “Soldier's Home.” We also draw connections to other non-Hemingway works, among them J'accuse (dir. Abel Gance), Stephen Crane's The Red Badge of Courage, Bob Dylan's “Blowin' in the Wind,” Joseph Heller's Catch-22, Siegfried Sassoon's Memoirs of an Infantry Officer, and Saving Private Ryan (dir. Steven Spielberg). We are using the Penguin Classics edition with an Introduction written by Professor Jay Winter. In the second half of this episode, Winter kindly sits down with us to share his wisdom about this spectacular book!Thank you for listening to One True Podcast! Dating after divorce is a whole different world.Dating apps. Men holding fish. Men who apparently have never taken a decent selfie. Threesomes. Ethical non-monogamy. And the occasional man who looks way better in person than his profile would have you believe. But underneath all of the chaos is a much more important question:How do you know who you're actually dealing with before you get attached? With Dawn away, Coach Tiffini and Joy are joined again by Christianna, Kelly, and Jo from our current A Different D Word cohort for a very unfiltered conversation about what it actually looks like to start dating after divorce. And this one goes places. We're talking about the questions women often don't ask soon enough:What was your part in your divorce? What does “I want a long-term relationship” actually mean to you?How do I know you've done the work? Are you actually ready for a relationship—or do you just think you are?How do you talk about your ex?What are you looking for five years from now?Are we monogamous? And how early is too early to start asking the really uncomfortable questions?Plus, Jo shares what it's like to date again after nearly 50 years—and why she's asking about everything from STD testing and meeting the family to sexual boundaries, physical health and, yes… whether the pipes still work. But the biggest conversation isn't really about finding the right man. It's about who you are while you're looking for him.Can you state what you want without shrinking it when someone attractive shows up? Can you hold a boundary and watch what he does instead of getting swept up in what he says? Can you walk away when something doesn't fit instead of convincing yourself you can live with it?Because chemistry can make a lot of things feel negotiable that weren't negotiable five minutes before you met him. Before you swipe right—or get attached to the next person who does—this is the conversation we want you to hear.Ask the hard questions. Have a plan. Stick to it. And don't do it alone.Support the showYou can't think your way into healing

Skills and knowledge that make you feel confident and in control even when chaos is going on around you. It's amazing what you can achieve when you make yourself a priority. Most men don't. Mark explains why dueling cases were filed in Slovenia and Los Angeles, how the UCCJEA and “home state” rules decide where custody belongs, and why filing in California was such a high-stakes move financially. Can't lift heavy loads but still want the benefits of heavy lifting? Blood flow restriction (BFR) training—using cuffs to partially restrict venous blood flow so you can get heavy‑lifting‑like gains with much lighter loads—could be just what you need, says this week's guest, veteran strength coach Ashley Selman, CSCS. In this episode, we dig into what BFR training is, how it's done in real‑world workouts, who it's for, and why it can be a powerful option for midlife athletes who can't tolerate traditional heavy lifting but still want to build and maintain muscle, strength, bone health, and even VO₂ max.Ashley Selman, MA, CSCS, is a veteran strength coach with 30+ years' experience working with elite athletes, collegiate programs at Stanford and the University of Oregon, and clients at every level. She was named one of the Top 100 Trainers in the U.S. by Men's Journal and founded Evolution Trainers in Mountain View, California, voted the number one health club in Silicon Valley. After a difficult hip replacement and early menopause at 43 left her losing muscle despite “doing everything right,” discovering blood flow restriction (BFR) training allowed her to rapidly regain strength she hadn't felt in over 15 years, which inspired her to create Seli Strength, a virtual BFR program now serving hundreds of midlife women. She recently developed "Coaching Blood Flow Restriction Training: The Future of Fitness" with the American Council on Exercise (ACE), for fitness professionals who want to bring BFR training to their clients. Jason and Gabe catch up on the arrival of Gabe's third baby and how the experience of becoming a parent changes the more you know. They talk about the gratitude, anxiety, and perspective that come with realizing you can do everything “right” and still not control the outcome.Jason also recaps his trip to Cooperstown with Kaden and what made this season of youth baseball so special. They get into why youth sports can be an incredible experience for the whole family, but also where parents can take it too far.The conversation shifts to Jason's visit with the TRAIN HARD Men's Club in Syracuse, why consistency beats almost everything when it comes to building something meaningful, and the idea of viewing yourself on an asset versus liability continuum. They wrap with a bigger question: When does a boy become a man? For Gabe and Jason, it has less to do with age and more to do with becoming someone who can provide, protect, serve, and ultimately be a net positive to the people around him. Thanks for tuning in to the Jason Khalipa Podcast!

What if getting stronger has very little to do with how much weight is on the bar and everything to do with how much life you're capable of living? In EP. 148, Bryce sits down with coach, writer, speaker, and Lift Free and Diet Hard host Andrew Coates to talk about strength, longevity, coaching, relationships, and playing the long game.Andrew has spent thousands of hours on the gym floor and has become a trusted voice across the fitness industry. Steve Smith welcomes Pol Otin O'Callaghan back to the GreatBase Tennis Podcast, a highly ranked Spanish junior and former Campbell University standout who holds a master's in Data Analytics and will begin his first season as Head Coach of Ave Maria's Men's and Women's Tennis Teams for 2026-27. Pol will be mentored by Steve, who is serving the Ave Maria Athletic Department as Director of Tennis, and the two dig into everything from culture-building and recruiting philosophy to the technical and tactical nuances of the modern game. The conversation ranges widely, from the World Cup and Spanish soccer to grip changes, the myelin science behind habit formation, and why so many talented juniors stall out because they never learned to volley or go forward. Pol brings sharp, thoughtful questions throughout, and Steve draws on decades of stories and philosophy to make the case that fact-based instruction, patience, and a real appreciation for the history of the game are what separate players and coaches who truly develop from those who simply chase results.

On this episode of the NYS Halls of Fame Podcast, we welcome Steve Sigler, a true pioneer in adult amateur baseball and the driving force behind the growth of the Men's Senior Baseball League (MSBL)/Men's Adult Baseball League (MABL). In 1985, he placed a simple notice in a Long Island, New York, newspaper looking for men interested in forming a baseball team. That small advertisement became the beginning of something much bigger — a national baseball organization that has helped thousands of players continue doing what they loved as kids and young men: playing baseball. More than two decades later, Sigler was leading an organization that had grown to 325 local affiliates, 3,200 teams and approximately 45,000 members, with organized amateur baseball being played in communities across the country. Steve is a member of the Class of 2026 New York State Baseball Hall of Fame. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Emily Tuttle: From the Family Room to the Press Box Long before Emily Tuttle filled notebooks with game stories or rushed through postgame interviews, she spent time with her family watching whatever sporting event happened to be on television. Together they celebrated thrilling victories, debated coaching decisions, and relived unforgettable moments long after the final whistle. Those traditions nurtured more than a love for sports — they instilled an appreciation for the relationships, teamwork, and stories behind every game.As her interest grew, Emily realized she was drawn less to the final score than to the people who made the moments possible. She wanted to understand what motivated athletes, how coaches built successful cultures, and why certain competitions left lasting impressions. Sports journalism became the perfect way to combine her love of writing, curiosity, and passion for competition with her faith in Jesus. Now a senior at Cedarville focusing on a career in sports journalism, Emily is turning that dream into reality. On the Cedarville Stories podcast, she described approaching every opportunity with the determination of an athlete pursuing excellence. Last winter, she earned a coveted spot in the NCAA Final Four Full Court Press program, covering the Men's Basketball Final Four--one of college basketball's premier events while learning from experienced sports journalists. She also completed an internship with the Rockford Rivets, gaining hands-on experience in sports communications through game-day operations, media relations, and fan engagement.Emily believes success is built through preparation. Every interview strengthens her confidence, every deadline sharpens her skills, and every assignment prepares her for the next opportunity.Wherever her career leads — from local stadiums to major sporting events — Emily's foundation remains the same. Her passion was born in a living room where faith shaped her perspective, family encouraged her dreams, and a shared love of sports inspired the storyteller she is becoming.Learn more about Cedarville University.https://share.transistor.fm/s/4e26f86fhttps://youtu.be/XlJfAzApq98

A @Christadelphians Video: Video Summary Description: Nowhere does the Bible teach gender as a choice, but something you are born with. Men are not better than women, nor women better than men. Men and women have equal value in God's eyes. This address is a strong motivation to read the Bible for yourself instead of relying on other people's interpretation. In this **thought-provoking** and **insightful** presentation, Bible scholar Stephen Palmer delivers an **outstanding** and **revealing** exposition on what Scripture truly teaches about gender, sex, and the divine purpose for men and women. We explore how the Bible has been **falsely accused** of justifying oppression, when in reality it provides a **wonderful foundation** for marriage, family, and mutual respect.Starting from the creation account in Genesis, we discover that God's plan from the very beginning was to create **male and female in His image**—both equally bearing His likeness. The Bible reveals that men and women are **biologically binary** and designed for complementary roles that reflect profound spiritual truths. This presentation powerfully addresses contemporary cultural debates while remaining firmly grounded in **Scriptural authority**. We examine how Jesus Himself elevated the status of women, rejecting the chauvinism of His day, and how the Apostle Paul teaches that **in Christ there is neither male nor female** when it comes to salvation. The **beautiful truth** emerges that marriage itself is a “great mystery” pointing to the relationship between Christ and His church. Far from being a relic of patriarchal oppression, the Bible's teaching on gender offers a **liberating vision** of equality, dignity, and purpose for all humanity.00:00 – Introduction: Why Study Gender?**04:17 – Foundation Principles: God's Word as Our Guide**07:24 – Creation in Genesis 1: Male and Female in God's Image**14:00 – The Fertility Crisis and God's Purpose**17:39 – The Chiastic Structure of Genesis 5**20:26 – Galatians 3: Equality in Salvation**24:22 – Genesis 2: The Creation of Woman**30:03 – Jesus on Marriage and Divorce**34:21 – Ephesians 5:42:06 – Conclusion:Bible Teaching About Gender with Bible scholar and author Stephen Palmer

Send us Fan MailNonprofit donor segmentation strategy may matter far more than most fundraising teams realize. New donor behavior research reveals that geography, household income, gender, trust, and communication preferences can dramatically change what motivates someone to give!Mary Crogan, Vice President of Brand Marketing at Bloomerang, returns with a deeper look at Bloomerang's ‘Giving Signals' research with The Harris Poll. The original study surveyed more than 1,000 donors and several hundred fundraisers, then examined donor responses across demographic groups rather than treating supporters as one giant audience. The result challenges one of fundraising's most persistent habits.“There's no such thing as the donor,” Mary says. “And the data proves that.”Consider geography. Only 45% of Midwest respondents expected to give more, compared with 62% in the West. Midwest donors were also considerably less responsive to identity and belonging language, suggesting that messages emphasizing concrete needs, transparency, and measurable outcomes may perform better with that audience.Trust creates another major business implication. The West registered 86% trust in nonprofits' effective use of funds, while 62% expected to increase giving. As Mary puts it, “You need to treat transparency as a fundraising activity, not just a compliance moment.”The data also challenges assumptions about major gift messaging. Among households earning $150,000+, 41% looked to third-party ratings compared with 29% overall. These high-capacity donors behaved more like evidence-driven buyers, responding to ratings, audited outcomes, measured impact, and proof—not simply another moving story. And donor trust does not develop identically. Women reported stronger responses to transparency, matching gifts, and proof of gift impact—with 93% citing information about their gift's impact—while men showed greater responsiveness to peer recommendations and preferred communication channels. The operational takeaway: segment, survey, test, measure, and adjust before assuming one appeal speaks to everyone.Key Takeaways:Build fundraising segments around meaningful donor differences instead of relying on one universal appeal.Treat transparency and closed-loop impact reporting as revenue-building activities.Test concrete outcome messaging versus belonging-oriented messaging by geography.Give high-capacity donors evidence: ratings, audited results, ROI, and measurable impact.Use peer and ambassador voices where personal endorsement strengthens trust.Survey your own donor base before turning national demographic patterns into fundraising assumptions. 00:00:00 — Why There's No Such Thing As “The Donor” 00:01:46 — How Bloomerang Studies Donor Behavior 00:04:24 — What 1,000+ Donors Told Researchers 00:05:47 — Why Midwest Fundraising Messaging Is Different 00:09:48 — Trust Sits Upstream Of The Ask 00:12:16 — Income Changes What Motivates Donors 00:13:27 — The Ethical Edge Of Urgency Messaging 00:14:34 — The Problem With One-Size-Fits-All Appeals 00:16:31 — What High-Capacity Donors Actually Want 00:19:30 — Men, Women And Different Paths To Trust 00:23:10 — Turning Donors Into Trusted Ambassadors 00:25:15 — Survey Your Own Donor Community 00:27:02 — Segment And Test Before Your Next Appeal #NonprofitFundraising #DonorEngagement #TheNonprofitShowFind us Live daily on YouTube!Find us Live daily on LinkedIn!Find us Live daily on X: @Nonprofit_ShowOur national co-hosts and amazing guests discuss management, money and missions of nonprofits! 12:30pm ET 11:30am CT 10:30am MT 9:30am PTSend us your ideas for Show Guests or Topics: HelpDesk@AmericanNonprofitAcademy.comVisit us on the web:The Nonprofit Show
With special guests: Brendan Morris & Stephan Wellink… in conversation with Bill Kable The Thornetts, a band of brothers as Shakespeare might have called them. Today we explore what makes a champion when we hear about a sporting giant from 1960’s Australia, namely Richard, or as he was more commonly known, Dick Thornett. Dick was the youngest in a family of champions. Dick’s oldest brother was John who became the Captain of the Australian Rugby team, the Wallabies. Under John, the Wallabies had a legendary tour of South Africa. The next brother Ken also played Rugby at a representative level but is best known for his Rugby League abilities. Starting his Rugby League career in England he became known as the Mayor of Leeds before he came back to Australia representing Parramatta and Australia in the Kangaroos. Dick is called “the Natural” because he was so good at any sport he turned his hand to. After representing Australia in water polo at the 1960 Olympics in Rome he went on to represent Australia in two very different sports namely Rugby and Rugby League. Podcast (mp3)

If you've ever lost everything (a business, a marriage, your sense of who you are) this conversation is proof that the collapse isn't the end of your story. Rick Trimmer walks through the exact math he and his wife used to climb out of $640,000 in debt: the thousand-day stretch with no pay, the decade of living on a thousand dollars a month, and the brutal conversations he had with himself and his wife about what they actually wanted. If you're in the hole right now, or you're scared of ever being in it, this is the blueprint for how a man digs out without excuses and without quitting on his family. But this isn't just a comeback story; it's a lesson in delayed gratification and what winning the game really looks like. We'll cover how to build passive income, take advantage of opportunities that scare you, and chose freedom over the appearance of success. If you're tired of chasing a lifestyle you can't afford, or you're ready to start building something that actually lasts, this conversation gives you the mindset and the moves to get there. “Men in hard hats were once the heart of America's working class. Now it is women in scrubs,” says historian Gabriel Winant, author of The Next Shift, who joins Suzi to explain how deindustrialization made health care the country's largest employer, but the jobs are lower paid, understaffed, and more precarious. That's playing out now at UVM Medical Center, where Vermont's own regulator found the nonprofit hospital was over-earning. Its response? Cut union jobs while nineteen top executives split $3 million in bonuses. Three union leaders — Melissa LaVallee, Teagan Cook, and Emma Galvin — from AFT Vermont, a branch of the American Federation of Teachers, describe the fight from inside for safe staffing and common-good demands. Their contract expires midnight on August 13th. The stakes are national. Jacobin Radio with Suzi Weissman features conversations with leading thinkers and activists, with a focus on labor, the economy, and protest movements.

FOXBOROUGH — The Patriots concluded their first joint practice of preseason today, welcoming the Indianapolis Colts to Gillette Stadium. BSJ's Greg Bedard reacts to everything that went down on the field, reveals who won the day, and highlights the standouts for the Patriots. Greg discusses a largely positive day for Drake Maye, despite a poor showing in the 1-minute drill, the battle between A.J. Brown and Colts CB Sauce Gardner, struggles on defense, and up-and-down play from the offensive line. Drake Maye spoke to reporters after practice and was asked about keeping everybody happy in the WR room: "I think the best thing for that is winning." "My job isn't to try to make everybody happy. My job is to have the offense move up and down the field and score points." There are some things in our lives we simply cannot fix. But that doesn't stop us from trying. We grip tighter. We work harder. We run every scenario through our heads. We tell ourselves, “If I can just figure this out, I can make it okay.” But eventually, we have to face the truth: we were never in control to begin with. This week, Victor and I continue our Power Made Perfect series with the next step in the process of restoration: surrender. Vulnerability required the mask to die. Humility required our pride and self-sufficiency to die. Now surrender requires something else to die: Control. Last week, humility brought us to the place where we could finally admit, “I can't save myself.” But admitting we need a Savior and actually letting Him save us are two very different things. In this episode, we talk about:
