You can wake up in the morning excited to work in your business. To have the capacity to trust yourself, and have confidence that you can handle whatever struggle or problem comes your way. One vision to help keep you going (not from a place of hustle, but from sufficiency) is recognizing the big picture impact you can make in a community. To realize you hold the key to shift the trajectory of an industry from out dated thinking, to one of inclusion and acceptance. Jess Spinner is a living example of a successful health and life coach changing the standards of what is tolerated in a community. In this podcast episode you will hear how Jess is helping one dancer at a time to shift their mindset around food and their body image. She is also coaching them to find confidence and belief in themselves, so putting down their body (from themself, teacher or studio) is no longer accepted or tolerable. Jess has the potential to change the whole dance industry from one of limited acceptance to one of inclusion, one dancer at a time. Listen to this episode to hear about how she is helping dancers find success in the dance profession, as well as success for herself as a wellness entrepreneur. You will hear how she personally brings the work she does with dancers into her own life through her journey of finding balance as a wellness entrepreneur and a mom and learning how to turn off her entrepreneurial brain without guilt or worry. Today's guest is Allie Mason Hoffberg. Allie is the founder of The Health Mason, a wellness and lifestyle blog and Instagram account. She launched her platform with the initial intention of sharing about nutrition and her favorite healthy recipes. Over the years however, her message has evolved to encompass all areas of what wellness means to her: both mental and physical health as well as lifestyle tips and clean beauty products. Given that managing her anxiety was such an important part of her personal life, she felt called to share her journey. Her message naturally shifted to include this crucial topic. With health being holistic, it is relevant to her mission of empowering others to live healthier lives. In our conversation, we discuss: What wellness means to her and how she thinks of it as more of a mindset and lifestyle How there is a mental and emotional component to food for most people that highly influences our relationship with it How speaking her truth and coming across as authentic is not only crucial for her message to her audience, but has become healing for her anxiety in general The one daily wellness habit that has helped her both mentally and physically The relationship between general anxiety and having an anxious food relationship and/or poor body image. How the former can sometimes manifest through the latter How surrender in uncertain times is something you can do to mitigate the worry and anxiety How to cut out the noisy nutritional chatter and get to the root of what works for you The role that meditation and other forms of self care play in her mental health and life How discovering clean beauty products has impacted her wellness and what she shares about with her audience
