This week the boys talk about how putting “U” into a song title makes it instantly a BOP, Nicole Scherzinger's solo career deserving much better (including her song “Whatever U Like”), Songs written for other artists that ended up becoming smash hits, Sia's questionable film career, Zach's close run-in with Janet Jackson at a local hair salon, “Grown Woman” finally being released to streaming platforms, speculations for Act II and III of RENAISSANCE, Madonna's Celebration Tour hitting the U.S and M.I.A's artistry.

It's possibly the most contentious profile of all time. M.I.A, writer extraordinaire Lynn Hirschberg and the truffle fries that spawned an all-out war. At the height of M.I.A's American takeover, the pop rebel is in her post-Diplo era and happier than ever...kind of. Hour 1 Gio is on vacation this week so it's Boomer & Jerry. They started with the Mets beating the Yankees again last night. Boomer & Jerry went to the game but it took them forever to get there and forever to get home. Boomer felt bad for David Peterson because he's a starter and not a reliever. The big matchup of the night was Max Scherzer vs Aaron Judge. Boomer says there was a problem with Jerry getting food delivered to the seat. Jerry's tooth also fell out at the game. With Jerry filling in for Gio this week, C-Lo has the updates and starts with the Mets walk off win over the Yankees. The Yanks continue to leave a lot of men on base. We hear from Buck Showalter and Aaron Judge. The Yankees traded for Andrew Benintendi. In the final segment of the hour, we take calls on the Mets/Yankees game from last night. Hour 2 The 7am hour starts with talk about Max Scherzer and the PitchCom device. Jacob deGrom made his last rehab start. A caller thinks the Yankees should have put everyone in the infield in the bottom of the ninth. C-Lo returns for another update and starts with the Mets win over the Yankees last night. Scherzer struck out Judge three times. The Yankees get Andrew Benintendi. Sal Licata & Keith McPherson got into it on WFAN last night about Mets/Yankees. In the final segment of the hour, we play Mark Canha's walk up song, Paper Planes by M.I.A because it was annoying Boomer last night. Hour 3 The 8am hour starts with a caller who sat in front of Boomer & Jerry last night and he said Boomer chirped the entire game. Zach Wilson met the media yesterday and they softballed him about his relationship with his mom's friend. Mekhi Becton is moving to Right Tackle. C-Lo returns for another update and starts with the Mets beating the Yankees. Max Scherzer used the PitchCom and thinks it should be illegal although he will probably use it again. The Yankees traded for Andew Benintendi. Joe Klecko was named a Pro Football Hall of Fame finalist. We hear from Rob Saleh on Mekhi Becton. Zach Wilson was asked about the social media stuff and he deflected. In the final segment of the hour, we talk about the Giants and Daniel Jones and his need for stability and continuity. Hour 4 The 9am hour starts with a caller saying this is a big week for Boomer. The Mets beat the Yankees twice and he found his $30K watch. Bubba Watson is joining LIV Golf. C-Lo returns for his final update of the day and starts with the Mets sweeping the Yankees in a two game series. Aaron Boone says it's ‘fake news' that they have too many power hitters in the lineup. The Yankees traded for Andrew Benintendi. Too many Yankee fans at WFAN say the game was meaningless to the Yankees. Daniel Jones spoke to the media at Giants camp. They also talk about Lamar Jackson and his contract situation. In the final segment of the show, we take some phone calls.
M.I.A. is known as much for her music as for her politics. She talks to Nam Kiwanuka about her life and art, grounded in her upbringing in Sri Lanka. As broadcast April 27, 2022 with plenty of extra kottu roti for your podcast serving. Tonight we head to a country that's had a lot of civil strife and civil war over the years but is a beautiful place with even more remarkable people. Whether elsewhere or still in Sri Lanka, the many people of the island are amazingly resilient and very talented, especially in the music realm. We explored some of the smaller artists on the rise presently along with some old school heads during our two hour expedition, along with some of the artists making it big in Europe right now who faced A LOT to get to stardom. As usual, our travel companion Dunia Aljawad's chimes during the trip in hour two alone make the trip more than worth it.#feelthegravityTracklisting:Part I (00:00)Tina Charles – I Love to LoveJungle feat Priya Ragu – Goodbye My LoveJungle – Beat 54 (All Good Now)The Soul – Sticky Like Glue Eve Alai feat Senara – Divine_Demo.wavBaila Curry – Break Free Part II (30:03)Kehard feat Imfinenow & Hypx – sick of loveArnon Ray Pereira – Slow1RSH4D – The 5th HouseMurandu – I follow the musicsundotandy – Though You the Flowers BloomAnthony Mutharajah feat Herman Ramanado – All The Little ThingsSandun Athulathmudali – Zero Pain Part III (59:06)SANUKA – SaragayeM.I.A. – Paper PlanesSamitha Mudunkotuwa & Bachi Susan - Hama Deyak PeneLakruwani Rosairo feat Manoj Fernando & Ajith Kumarasiri – Heenath Aran EnnaDaddy - Massina Hector Dias – Kumariyak Remake Part IV (93:56)Nirosha Virajini - Himi Nathi PemakataMahiru Senarathne – Charitha Attalage MedleyCosta x Master D - bala walapemiPriya Ragu – Good Love 2.0hyukoh(혁오) _ Comes And Goes(와리가리)Sunset Rollercoaster feat OHHYUK - Candlelight
“M.I.A” preached by Elder Eric and Pastor Payton admonished us to take on the personal responsibility to walk in the resurrection life that is found in Jesus. It is not enough for us to know that Jesus resurrected from the dead, but we are called to live in light of the resurrection. Experiencing his resurrection power daily at work in us through the laying down of our lives and taking steps of faith filled actions that empower the next generation to go even further. Let your inspiration in the resurrection rise and your personal responsibility to walk in it. This is how we stay connected through the generations and carry the gospel forward.

M.I.A blander hiphop, electronica, tamilsk filmmusik og punk.

Årets sporthändelse i USA. Madonna, Nicki Minaj och M.I.A kliver på scen och framför 68 000 skrikande människor, spelar de låten Give me all your luvin. M.I.A och Nicki Minaj är utklädda till hejarklacksledare. Bilden vilar på M.I.A. Hon tittar rakt in i kameran och sträcker upp långfingret åt hela USA. Break out your rose-colored glasses. In this week's episode, Billy and Greg step outside their bubble and take a trip to Oblivia to talk all things Katy Perry and her 2017 album Witness. Were we feeling the purposeful pop or should she have just saved the whole thing as draft?Elsewhere in the episode, we share the three songs that always have us feeling wide a-woke, discuss our three favorite Katy tracks, and, as always, reveal our picks for Pop and Flop of the Week. Which unlucky boy band had us channeling Heidi Klum with a "one day you're in, the next you're out" attitude? As always, to listen to all the music talked about in this week's ep—or the good stuff, at least—be sure to check out our companion playlist, available on Apple Music and Spotify. Awww, the Best-Of list. Everybody longs to have the definitive outlook, but nobody ever gets it right. So here’s what we will be doing: We will be analyzing the year end lists of some other "reputable" music publications, I’ll sort of edit them accordingly to fit my preferences, and then play those songs on the Snobcast. Then you, the reader, can tell me what you think should stay; what should go; and what should be added or subtracted from the list/playlist. In the end we will have compiled the definitive Best of 2007 list. Read the full blog at Donnybrook Writing Academy
