The concept is simple, but practicing it is extremely powerful (and important) For context, I started designing these MTBs as I struggled with sleep. I had always considered myself an "insomniac," and it became part of my identity. It's not - not sleeping is NOT natural. You NEED to sleep. (If you are struggling to sleep, let me know, and I will send you some tips and resources.) I was able to heal this "sleep disease" through different techniques, one of which is the most efficient one, not only for myself but also for clients in my 1 on 1 coaching that also have struggled with sleep. The concept is simple, but as with all powerful things, it will take time to master that skill, so be patient. Think of it as directly applying what we do when we meditate. Meditating daily, preferably twice daily, will help you train your mind and make that technique easier. It can be applied for sleep, stress, focus, peak performance, deep presence with loved ones, and anywhere you wish. Also, it is free to use and has no unwanted side effects

He spent most of his childhood traveling all over the world living in Africa, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Norway, Trinidad, Borneo, Scotland and several other countries. Robert left high school at age 17 and immediately enlisted in the Marine Corps. Prior to leaving for basic training his recruitment was transferred to the United States Navy due to extremely high testing scores. He was initially trained as an Operations Specialist and later went on to become an instructor for Anti-Submarine Warfare specializing in Target Motion Analysis. Following Robert's short career in the Navy, he went on to work in the private sector as a contractor for several government Intelligence and Law Enforcement Agencies. He was contracted to many Special Access Programs specializing primarily in Project and Finance Management. While in this role he managed projects relating to Space Based Electronics and Armor Systems, Genetic Engineering, Social Engineering and Psychological Operations along with several other “Dark Programs”. Robert cites his most interesting role as working as an undercover operator within an undisclosed “illuminate” order and serving as their Assistant Minister of Finance. While in this role he enjoyed the trust and confidences of many of the world's most secretive elites and had first hand access to many of their agendas and goals. Robert retired from this life in 2015 and settled into a quiet life as a regular citizen and in 2018 he opened a small bar in the suburbs of Houston, Texas. The rise of COVID in 2019 brought with it reminiscences of some of the more frightening and insidious elements of the projects he participated in throughout his career. Her latest research on employee activism was nominated for the Thinkers50 Breakthrough Idea Award. Her most recent book with John Higgins is titled Speak Up: Say What Needs to Be Said and Hear What Needs to Be Heard*. Many leaders consider what they need to do in order to speak truth to others, but rarely focus on how to make it easier for people to speak to them. In this conversation, Megan and I explore what leaders can do in order to hear what needs to be heard. We share several tactics that will make it easier for others to surface what you need to hear. Key Points Speaking up and listening up go hand in hand. Power always affects what gets said and what gets heard. A key checkpoint is whether or not you really value the opinion of others. Where you have conversations can make a massive difference on how comfortable the other party is in surfacing an important message for you to hear. Leaders who have margin in their daily schedules create space for the right moment to hear truth. Proactively invite challenge and debate through specific invitations. One example: “What do you know that I need to know, but will never be told?” Resources Mentioned Speak Up: Say What Needs to Be Said and Hear What Needs to Be Heard* by Megan Reitz and John Higgins Interview Notes Download my interview notes in PDF format (free membership required). One of the most dramatic events in the whole Bible is the test of who is the true God - Baal or the God of Israel- The question is resolved emphatically when the Lord answers from heaven with fire. Through this, God vindicates His own name and His prophet Elijah. There is much to take in, but we are dwelling on v21 and the question that is put to the people. Why can't they make up their mind- If God is God, then serve Him. If Baal is God, then serve him. Do not try to serve both. For the people of Elijah's day, it was time for them to make up their minds. Likewise, for us, it is time to make up our minds. Who do we believe---Main Headings---1- Are you stuck--2- Time for decision

Thanks to a greater awareness and understanding, meditation is now widely recognised as a consciousness-changing technique that has been shown to have a wide number of benefits on psychological, physical and emotional well-being on adults - but there is little conversation around the benefits of meditation for children. In this episode, Shea breaks down the benefits meditation has on the development of children and how incorporating it into their routines will both create space for foundation growth, assisted learning and ultimately a better night's sleep. In this podcast, I discuss the nature of consciousness as presented by Karl Friston in his article in Aeon magazine, entitled "The Mathmatics of Mind-Time." Friston is interested in the transition from blind mechanistic causation--i.e. B simply happens to occur as a result of A--to teleological causation in which B follows A as the consciously sought goal of an agent. Friston likens consciousness, in a reductionist manner, to any complex system like evolution, the weather, or even a virus. Complex systems share in common a tendency to maximize evidence about their surroundings in a way that minimizes surprise. We can develop an account of purpose in terms of evidence-seeking to minimize surprise that is opposed to entropic tendencies to dissipate energy in random sequences. In this episode, we present the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the lens of social unrest and the life of George Floyd. As an African American, I am excited to see so many come together to fight for equality on our behalf. As a Christian, the thought that someone could risk their life on the front line without the security of knowing like I do that their soul is secure reminds me that it's our job to share the life-giving Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Jess starts off talking about how she observes, pays attention and focuses on her daily thoughts and actions to be more conscious and see where her mind wanders. When we are able to observe we can shift and change. Time is all around us, we are always focused on either the past time or future time, rarely the present time. How can we make time work for us? Jess and Nick discuss how they see time. Lastly the importance of seeing your strengths rather than weaknesses. How can you capitalise on what you're good at? Really embrace what you love, are good at and are passionate about, don't be influenced by those around you. Embrace it all and be comfortable with it.
