This weekend, we celebrated the 250th anniversary of Paul Revere's midnight ride. Our Founders fought the mightiest military power at the time over a fraction of the tyranny we face from black-robed judges who have no power whatsoever to rule over the other branches. We're joined by legal expert Josh Hammer to delve into the unprecedented Supreme Court ruling over the weekend demanding that Trump halt removals under the Alien Enemies Act. Josh breaks down the procedural history to show how this is not a lower-court problem, but a Supreme Court problem. Once again, SCOTUS will not save us; it is part of the problem. He also explains the rationale for his new endeavor at the Article III Project, which seeks to rectify the mistakes of the Republican judicial selection mentality of the past. He offers three criteria he is looking for in Trump judicial nominees. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

The 4th Circuit court of appeals yesterday issued an order on MS-13 terrorist Abrego-Garcia that is absolutely horrific. It reads like a badly written soft-cover romance novel. It is larded public policy aspirations that do not fall within the authority of the inferior trial courts, and imagines a speculative slippery slope that is nowhere to be found in the facts of the case before it. All of that on a foundation of a horrifically flawed understanding of even the basic facts of the case before it. It finishes by claiming the ultimate authority to govern the American people, with the Article II Executive Branch of government bound to bend the knee to whatever these unelected, black-robed, tyrannical inferior district trial court judges wish to levy upon us.Our Founders did not create a nation in which were all to be ruled by Article III judges, least susceptible of all government branches to the political will of the American people. Especially when they rule not only without authority but out of ignorance. Let's break it all down!

Our Founders gave the lion's share of constitutional authority to the legislative branch. The people's house. Because our Founders feared a king. There's great fear and confusion right now because an unelected oligarch is waging war on the federal government. The very thing our Founders feared. And what is Congress doing about this? Nothing. SPECIAL GUEST Joel Salatin The Lunatic Farmer Regenerative Farmer Joel's Blog - https://www.thelunaticfarmer.com/blog Polyface Farms - https://polyfacefarms.com/ RFK Jr let's not underestimate the pull that he has and his inner sanctum.  I know Thomas Massie and he and I go way back. I know the Means and they have caused quite a stir.  This agriculture element hasn't been a republican issue it is now for the first time. I think its because we've gotten so far away from good farming practices that it is attracting the attention of others. I don't know I would have voted for RFK Jr, I was thrilled he was in the race. He has always sued the government for not doing their jobs and I'd like to just see the agencies abolished.  He has gone way up in my mind b/c this showed heart and class. Much of the agriculture economy is dependent on doing things wrong. From feeding cows corn to all manner of things. The monetization is often directly tied to the farm policy and economic imperative. As long as Chick-fil-A and McDonald's are building new stores we are still on the wrong track. We have damaged millions of ares of land that we simply can't use anymore for food. The fact is we are for all of our platitudes of climate, we are still as a culture going backwards on health and soil health and nutrition and that pendulum has swung so far that it is now coming back to us. Has Cargil and Purdue have they overplayed their hand? The fact that SNAP spends $9 billion a year for sugar drinks, it should give you pause as to where we have been going. 10% of the SNAP budget which has nutrition in its title goes to sugary drinks. Durable Trades Book - the new value recognition. The new 401k in my opinion is actually knowing how or knowing people who know how to grow, fix and build things. I don't mean computer programing either. I mean planting a tree, canning vegetables, working on a truck engine things like that. I don't want to be stuck in a condominium it the city when stuff hits the fan. These dirty jobs are part of what we need to start thinking about. The average American male b/w 25-35 year olds spend 20 hours a week playing video games.  They could be growing food, taking vocational courses.  There is so much they could be doing w/ that wasted time. Was it hard for you to get your products into restaurants in Virginia? To unpack the food safety service would take almost a day. For many of your listeners, we can process 20,000 chickens w/o government inspection and sell them to restaurants, delis and homeowners.  But I can't sell 1lb of sausage or ground beef w/o a government inspection. There is an unreasonable labyrinth. That is why Thomas Massie  - Constitutional Amendment  Here's the deal we live in a time where we have choice in the bathroom, bedroom, womb but no choice in our mouth and stomach.  Our own microbiome so to speak. Our Founders couldn't imagine a day where we couldn't buy or drink milk from our neighbors cows or goats. Massie and I believe that of all the rights we could bestow on a human is the human right to food choice needs to be a foundational right.  The Tree Huggers the Earth Muffins -  Government policy, quit subsidizing Tyson and don't subsidize the small farms either! I don't want government in our food system period. Organic Farmer - that doesn't mean I'm a liberal!  I have the honor and privilege to make BOTH sides mad MAHA one could say America was never healthy. We need to Make America FREE Again. There are farmers ready to produce everything from staples to convenient foods. Like honest Hot Pockets! But we have a bureaucrat standing b/w them and the public. There needs to be a pathway for 2 people to exercise a voluntary food transaction w/o a bureaucrat being involved. We should be able to engage in neighbor to neighbor food transactions.

Our Founders all agreed that civic freedom was impossible apart from Christian virtue. American statesman, Samuel Adams observed, “Neither the wisest constitution nor the wisest laws will secure the liberty and happiness of a people whose manners are universally corrupt.” Republics do not survive apart from republican virtue. When Christ is rejected, a long line of fallen, petty, self-seeking politicians eagerly seek to fill the void. Ultimately, our choice is either a Christian theocracy or a secular counterfeit.

We are in the thick of that season as we prepare to vote this November, just three months away. It seems that we hear the news media increasingly telling us that this is the most significant election of our lifetimes, where the constant refrain is that if so and so is not elected or if this party is not elected, it will lead to the destruction of democracy or the loss of certain liberties we have as Americans. During his nearly 61 years of life, he has seen a significant change in this country, especially concerning its moral atmosphere. This is witnessed in a nation or a society where God removes His restraining grace from them and gives people over to their sinfulness. There's this downward plunge into darkness and destruction where insanity sets in. Dr. Caldwell believes we've reached that place in our culture, and he shares examples of the kinds of moral insanity we are experiencing. Therefore, our country is different, and as we've descended into this moral insanity, we've lost touch with what made this nation what it once was. Our Founders were in touch with the idea that our Creator afforded certain freedoms and rights to people just by virtue of their existence. But we're heading dangerously towards socialism, communism, or even Marxism, very dangerous ideologies, systems of governments that have had disastrous results where they have taken root in the history of the world. We believe that developing and sharing knowledge through facts and data accelerates positive global change. Through original research and analysis, and in collaboration with philanthropic and academic partners, we aim to enrich the lives of individuals, strengthen communities, and educate future generations. We track our progress using a variety of qualitative and quantitative approaches and we support programs that generate measurable, meaningful, and sustainable results. Our Founders, David S. Vogel and Thais Lopez Vogel, have maintained a personal philanthropic portfolio for many years, largely comprised of public health and education programs. As they became more informed and noticed evident changes in the environment and climate, they set out to answer the hard questions by funding projects aimed at solving this major issue. In 2014, David and Thais formed VoLo Foundation. David, an MIT graduate, and Thais, a Venezuelan-born attorney, are the visionaries and heartbeat of VoLo. Together they built our team. They brought together some of the smartest brains and declared to put these top scientific minds to work. In 2019, David and his team of experts took action to leverage the Foundation's data science expertise to serve new purposes in the domain of health. Through the health research program, the team has extended their focus to longevity and wellness data in seeking new paths to reduce hallmarks of aging, prevent diseases, and improve wellness metrics. Meet the VoLo Team - We are scientists, lawyers, philanthropic professionals, community leaders, and innovative thinkers. Think about the environment under which our Constitution was drafted.  Our new nation had just waged and won a war for independence and was surrounded on all sides with hostility: the British in the north and their navy out to sea, the Spanish empire to the south, British and French ships patrolling the Caribbean and sometimes hostile Native American tribes to the west.  Our Founders knew war was necessary but also had a healthy wariness about where the power to wage it should reside.  The Founders questioned if war powers could lead to tyranny and questioned the effect of standing armies. Thus, Article 1, Section 8, Clause 11 gives this power to Congress and not the President.  Joining our student panel to help us further understand why, we are pleased to welcome Reid Smith, vice president of foreign policy at Stand Together where he serves as an expert of constitutional war powers and foreign policy.

Our Founders, Dr.'s Mike Mallin and Matt Dawson take a second look at Dr. Peter Attia's recent paper about biological aging and offer a more updated view. They dive into epigenetic clocks and methylation, taking a look at how these tests have evolved in the past five years. We touch on how the use of multi-omic markers (phenotypic data, metablymic, and protiomics) has become more accurate in predicting disease and rate of mortality.   We break down Peter's points, some they agree with...and some not so much. We debunk multiple of Dr. Attia's points about the predictive value and other concerns with new research. We also take a look at the future of testing and their optimism around this science.   Our hosts do a great job of breaking down this complex science that goes into epigenetic testing and the major breakthrough that is this fourth generation of DNAm Age testing, sharing their personal experiences and practical use.   Sign up for Wild Health by December 31st, 2023 & receive 2x free OMICmAge tests, learn more at wildhealth.com/getstarted   Resources: Peter's Article referenced: https://peterattiamd.com/how-accurate-are-biological-age-clocks/ Response to Dr. Peter Attia: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1d3HV0QkHqslo4FdOQfWKSp44tzEmQPZj/view?usp=sharing OMICmAge: An integrative multi-omics approach to quantify biological age with electronic medical records: https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2023.10.16.562114v1 OMICmAge Introduction Lecture: https://www.youtube.com/watch?si=ImDNb9kmMjA7rAqy&v=YTlr7vZVVIQ&feature=youtu.be OMICmAge Testing: https://trudiagnostic.com/blogs/healthcare-partners/introducing-our-new-omicm-age-algorithm-report-suite

How important is the character of our leaders if we hope to keep the fragile republic of ordered freedoms entrusted to us? Many today conveniently compartmentalize a leader's character from his/her competencies. One's ability to "get the job done" is really all that matters. Who cares about a leader's personal indiscretions! Our Founders saw things differently. Characterless leaders undermine the people's faith in the larger order. If our leaders behave wickedly, if they love themselves and their careers more than they love our country and the people they are elected to serve, people lose trust in the whole system. Once they think the system is corrupt, or that their leaders and representatives are corrupt, it's nearly impossible for the citizens to feel they are part of an actual system of self-government.  Find out more at https://ron-johnson-discipleship-podca.pinecast.co

DOJ caught in more lies when their narratives keep falling apart

The Alan Sanders Show

Today, I wanted to take a more global approach to the discussion over the DOJ and FBI decision to raid Donald Trump's home at Mar-a-Lago. To open, I look back to how I personally thought about Trump in the 2015 primaries. He was not my candidate of choice. And, it seemed the Legacy media was laughing at the Republican party, hoping the “clown” would be the nominee so their anointed candidate, Hillary Clinton, would be able to cake-walk her way to the White House. But, as we watching more of the GOP names fall off out of the running, I started to pay closer attention to how Donald Trump was being portrayed by the mainstream media versus how the average American voter was seeing him. Yes, he was loud, vulgar, brash and acting too much like a blue-collar construction worker than a politician. That's when my personal light bulb lit up! He wasn't a politician and maybe that was a good thing! Our Founders believed those who were called to serve would do so for a short time and then return to the private sector. They never envisioned career politicians in this new experiment we call America. Our government was supposed to be of, by and for the people. It was not supposed to become a den of elites who look down on the vast majority, calling us baskets of deplorables. Donald Trump really was about winning and making sure America was first. He cared about the everyday, ordinary citizen and could not care less about the elites. That's why they hate him. That's why they have been attacking him since he won the election and are still attacking him to this day. And, with each unsuccessful attempt, they ratchet up the next attack to higher and higher levels. We are now at the point where the FBI and the DOJ no longer seems to care about how they are behaving, the lies they are telling and their blatant choice to become the goon squad for the Left. First we find the FBI raid was conducted because of concerns from the National Archive via the Presidential Records Act. This has never happened before in our history. Within 24 hours we find they search warrant wasn't specific as Garland implied, by so general is can only be called a fishing expedition. So, the DOJ leaks to the Washington Post the notion the raid was really about retrieving nuclear weapons related information. In fact, that's why it was so urgent. Then it turned into finding documents classified at Top Secret: SCI. That must mean Trump was an imminent threat to the national security of our nation, which is why the raid had to happen to suddenly. Only, we now know Merrick Garland sat on this for weeks before signing off on the raid. So, how urgent could it really be? So much of this continues to make it look like the DOJ and the FBI are in the wrong and Donald Trump is once again an innocent victim. To prove that one step more, Trump publicly said the FBI went through everything, even not related to his presidency, to include taking three of his passports. Because they cannot help themselves, Norah O'Donnell with CBS news tweeted, “According to a DOJ official, the FBI is NOT in possession of former President Trump's passports.” Immediately, disgraced FBI agent Peter Strzok quoted her tweet adding, “And, unsurprisingly, Trump's statement turns out not to be true.” David Frum, senior editor at the Atlantic, tweeted, “It's remarkable that even at this late date, there are people who react to uncorroborated Trump claims as if true.” And finally, J6 Committee anti-Trumper, Adam Kinzinger, tweeted, “Lies lies lies and more lies.” Why do we tend to believe Donald Trump and no one in the mainstream media, on the Left or those suffering Trump Derangement Syndrome? Less than a day went by with so many jumping on the “liar” bandwagon only to find out the DOJ had to admit the FBI did, in fact, take his passports. Yes, there was a lot of lying going on, but it wasn't coming from Donald Trump. Take a moment to rate and review the show and then share the episode on social media. This past week, freedom won a significant battle as the Biden Administration was dealt a significant blow by the Supreme Court, which ruled that the federal government's COVID-19 vaccine and testing mandate for private businesses was unconstitutional, and overstepped the bounds of the Occupational Health and Safety Administration.  While this ruling was a victory for conservatives, it cannot overshadow the evil that Biden and his fellow liberals continue to conjure within the halls of Congress. Democrats continue to attempt to put an end to the Senate filibuster to nationalize elections, a strategy that would ensure continued fraud, and an unstoppable sequence of events that would bar any future Republican president or congressional majorities.  Biden and the Democrats' plan advancing in Congress would massively increase opportunities for election fraud, further erode confidence in our elections, and deliver an irreversible victory for the radical left. what are Biden and his liberal comrades cooking up in Congress? Well according to Mike Pence, states would be forced to adopt universal mail-in ballots, to provide same-day voter registration, online voter registration, easier voter registration through motor vehicle department offices, and a minimum of 15 days of early voting. Duplicate voter registration records would abound, states' voter-ID requirements would be dramatically weakened, and anyone, including undocumented people, who simply signed a sworn written statement claiming to be eligible to vote would be permitted to do so. The opportunities for voter fraud would explode. While many of the promises that Biden made during his election campaign has faltered, I consider many of these to be lost battles, but the war rages on. Democrats, under the Biden Administration, will not stop until they can ensure an American future, rooted in eternal demise - forgoing any counter-conservative fight for freedom.  In 1994, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos created an online platform that would manifest and epitomize American greed and impulsiveness. In less than a decade, Americans could order what they why wanted, when they wanted it, and have it delivered to their doorstep with little to no effort involved.  Biden-led liberals want to model American institutions like our election process, exactly the same, in which there is little to no effort to cast your ballot. There is no standing in line, there is no verification process, there is nothing but the click of a button, and your ballot, or ballots, are cast.  Everything bought and sold online is ripe for fraud. Every year, the FTC investigates billions and billions of consumer fraud within a system designed to satisfy our consumer demand. Personal information is stolen in an instant. Simply put, our greed is responsible for misery.  Many Americans today want everything they can get, but without the work behind it. We expect to have what our neighbors have, and if we cannot afford or obtain it, we expect others to provide. We expect that it is the government's responsibility and role to pay our mortgages if we cannot - send our kids to school and college, pay our utility bills, and send us monthly deposits into our checking accounts so we can buy whatever we want. Our Founders warned us of a strong federal government, it is up to us to heed that warning before it is too late.  Music courtesy of Greg Shields Music. http://www.reverbnation.com/GregShields

Our system for electing the President—the Electoral College—was carefully crafted by the Framers and has worked successfully for over 200 years, protecting and nurturing our Republic. Unfortunately, it is currently under assault from two fronts: a constitutionally questionable National Popular Vote Movement, and now Congressional Democrats pushing a constitutional amendment. Every American should be concerned that the Electoral College is under siege by these efforts, which would radicalize the U.S. political system and marginalize the voices of smaller, less populated states. Our Founders masterfully crafted a system that balances popular sovereignty and state representation, while also encouraging broad coalition building, promoting legitimacy of election outcomes, fostering stability, and discouraging election fraud. We must preserve it. Join us for an address by Senator Jim Inhofe (R-OK), followed by a panel with two leading experts on the Electoral College who are on the front lines of this fight. There is much turbulence, turmoil, and danger that we face today as our nation's very fabric is being torn apart and disintegrating around us. Our Founders faced similar turmoil and danger in the first fight for liberty against King George's tyranny. What served as their North Star in the turbulent times they faced? What helped them find strength and courage to fight against oppression? We examine America's Christian foundation that has served us for over 400 years and consider how we can restore that healthy foundation for today. IT IS HERE!Tuesday, November 3, 2020 is here. It calls us to action; it calls us to:         THE VOTE.The most important vote in all of America's 240–year history. It is your last opportunity, my fellow Americans to vote, whether Monday, November 2 or in person Tuesday, November 3. And, you will vote, citizens of the greatest country in the world, will you not? You must! The future of this great country depends upon your vote. The political choices we have are as clear and as different as they have ever been. You will vote for America as it is, essentially so, or you will vote for a radical America, lurching to the left, employing the incredible weapon of:         CANCEL CULTUREand American history, and its political traditions, and its religious pillars and so many of its freedoms we have held dear since 1776. How will you vote? What do you believe America should be?Will you vote BIBLICAL VALUES? America in so many ways was built upon Judeo – Christian values, the pillars of our society. Its laws and rule of law were taken from the old English Common Law and from the Commandments, the moral principles of scripture. It created for us and for the world to see an EXCEPTIONAL society, men and women building upon essential freedoms, the freedom of religion, and speech, press, assembly and petition. It was a REPUBLIC for all the world to see. But this republic, built upon democratic principles, required hard work over and again. It required diligence, strong protections, passionate adherence to its principles, growth and development day and night. This American experiment and freedom was fragile, difficult and looked upon by the world at large as temporary. Our Founders who gave us this republic knew the dangers and the difficulties, which led Founder Benjamin Franklin to state:         WE GAVE YOU A REPUBLIC IF YOU CAN KEEP IT.Our beloved constitution gave us a republic if we could keep it. Can we? We have done so for 244 years. But will these elections 2020 take it from us? If we vote for and allow radicals, progressives, socialists to take power and rule us, this long–standing republic will be done away with, in part overnight and the rest step by step. The vote you cast will determine our future. And you must vote, my fellow Americans, YOU MUST VOTE! Have you?We and our ancestors built this country. It was the blood, sweat and tears of our ancestors which gave us the America we now enjoy. This BUILDING took leadership, entrepreneurs, men and women with vision, mission and purpose guiding and directing, accumulating capital and financial resources, persuading others to invest and providing jobs, millions of jobs for those who were willing to work. America required the very best of the Captains of Industry and the hard work and diligence of workers white and blue collar. This combined effort made us great. It built a society affluent, opportunistic and abundant especially as compared to the rest of the world. The question for us and for all history is:         CAN WE KEEP IT?Can we? That depends on how you will vote, my fellow Americans and for which party, politician and platform you wish for America. We will continue on as a nation essentially as we are, working to better ourselves, for reform, revival, growth, equality, fairness and justice for all, solving our problems without destroying our country. And as we vote, we pray, and we pray for the blessings of our Lord on our country, our leaders and we the people. We do the best we can and then we trust the will of God Almighty for our country. The results begin Wednesday, November 4. The elections in final form may not be known for days. There will be protests, claims of fraud, legal challenges. There will be protests, civil unrest, even the resumption of riots and perhaps even massive civil disobedience. We may well have a country in turmoil for days to come. We may witness the tearing apart of the Great Society and the resumption of the hatred, animosity, and deep division which characterizes America today. These will be the times, as Founder Thomas Paine well said that:         TRY MEN'S SOUL.But the die is cast and we pray for fair elections, all votes counted and accurately so and the results when final, clear and indisputable. Without that, we will live with civil unrest and even disobedience for weeks and months to come. These are revolutionary days in America and those who are real patriots must stand up, fight the fight of freedom, and fight the fight of faith. We are now in this fight, like it or not, and it will require eternal vigilance, activity and reassertion of the right moral and political principles in order for the America we love to survive. Are you ready? I pray to that end. And I pray for America, and its future, and yours and mine. And as we pray, we seek the blessing of God Almighty. But this God we love and worship has told us that there can be no divine answer to our petitions unless we humble ourselves. America is a prideful nation, our people turn secular and humanistic more than ever, they regard man as the measure of all things with no need of anything divine or spiritual. So much so that no divine blessing can come. And then, our God says, we must turn from wicked ways. Immorality is so deeply imbedded in American society and culture that will be extremely difficult, requiring radical change. That will take revival, a deep sense of culture born again, doubtful it is that America is ready for that. But it must turn if it is to be blessed. And then we are told we must seek God with all of our hearts, to love HIM with all of our strength. That is so little evident in America today and as such, there can be no divine blessing, and then we must pray, and pray without ceasing, pray believing that this God will bless America and us with it. And if those four things occur, if we the people are humble, turn, pray and seek his will, then and only then will the God of our Lord Jesus Christ answer, and not before. It is apparent that we have work to do before that blessing will come. And then we as a people as we contemplate the America we have recreated must:         BE STILL AND KNOW THAT HE IS GOD. Be still, wait patiently, pray for enlightenment and wisdom and wait for the events divinely directed to unfold. We can be still if we know in our hearts that we have done everything possible that we should do as American citizens and voters. If we have done our duty, and if we have voted, and if we have stood tall for the America which has given us so much, then we can wait patiently for the will of God to happen. And as we do, give thanks in everything. Give thanks as God has commanded, for everything, EVERYTHING! And especially for the America we are privileged to live in. And as you do, stand up, stand tall, fight the fight of faith, run the race. Vow to be better, work harder, and be ready at all times to place your:         ALL ON THE ALTER. As millions of Christians and patriots have in times past. Pray my fellow Americans that Pastors, Christian leaders, lawyers, doctors and businessmen, White, Black and Latino will stand up as Christians and defend. America desperately needs that. In so many ways, there has been an America as we are told by Francis A. Schaeffer that in Christendom and its leadership, there has been a:         VAST SILENCE.And that must end, end now and forevermore. Even if America lurches to the left, even if radicals and those anti–American prevail, there is opportunity, different, more challenging and certainly more difficult. But it is there nonetheless to champion the faith, and the freedoms of this great country. We will be called upon as citizens and Christians to respond to a much higher responsibility, with more work, more doing, a harder life in every way. Then, the mettle of our character and our faith will be surely tested and the cost, the true cost of standing for the Gospel will be demanded. Are you ready for that? Are you ready to fight the fight of faith? We the people of THE BOOK and the scriptures can never again take our freedom of religion for granted. I pray for this great country. I pray for you and yours, your family, friends and those you love and for all Americans. We have always been one nation under God, striving to be indivisible, striving as well to provide liberty and justice for all. We have done all of that within the structure of our great republic. Now we say with Ben Franklin of old:         CAN WE KEEP THIS GREAT REPUBLIC?What becomes of America in our hands, with our votes, with our actions. Who are we and will we be as a people and what will become of our great country. Those are questions now eternal, challenges to each of us forevermore. There is much to be done before we can really honestly and sincerely ask that:         GOD BLESS AMERICA.I do hope and pray that you voted and that you voted for an America under God, moral, with character to be led by people who believe the same. We have always been the world's leader, a shining city on the hilltop. I pray with all my heart we stay that way.

In my book, Locally Grown: The Art of Sustainable Government, I talk about how our country's bottom up design of 20,000 zip codes, 50 states and 1 Federal government, brilliantly distributes power within that bottom-up infrastructure. Our Founders intended most governance to be done locally. And about the inherent dangers of too much centralized power. My book exposes the unsustainability of our government debt and the awful bargain we make when we exchange freedom for security.  I introduce readers to Locally Grown principles like sustainability, accountability, the double-bottom line, harnessing excess capacity, simplification, and engaged citizenship. I make the case that returning to our federalist roots through Locally Grown principles is the path to sustainable, effective government that better serves the “Common Good.”

#009 - My dear friends, today I discuss how to deal with the current situation of the corona virus. As with any challenging situation we can have one of two responses: fear or faith. The devil tries to whittle away at your faith, but you can stay strong in the Lord Jesus Christ. We look at one harrowing event in history that shows how our founding fathers and mothers kept their faith alive. We also look at the Apostle Paul's amazing ordeals that he sufferred though in order to bring a large part of the Bible to us nearly single handedly. In this episode, we also look at how every one has doubt, even John the Bapist, who Jesus said was the greatest man born of a woman. We also see how Jesus deftly handled John's doubts in Matthew chapter 11.Our Founders endured great perils, but left for us a legacy of faith. What kind of legacy do you want to leave for future generations who study how we reacted to the corona virus? Do you want to leave a legacy of fear or a legacy of faith? Let's be strong in the Lord and be an example of faith for those around us!

The landmark decision in The American Legion case protects war memorials from destruction all across the country. Americans no longer need to fear these religious symbols on government property. Learn more at FirstLiberty.org/Briefing. Over the last five episodes, we have been winding our way through the Supreme Court’s decision in First Liberty’s case The American Legion v. AHA.  Before we move on to other areas of religious liberty, let’s tie the whole thing together. It’s undeniable that The American Legionis a landmark decision.  The days of activist courts catering to the offense of those who would illegitimately weaponize the First Amendment’s Establishment Clause to attack religious symbols on public land are over. Not only is the Peace Cross safe from destruction, so are the hundreds of war memorials honoring veterans across the country. Our Founders would’ve been appalled at attempts by activists to purge the landscape of religious symbols in our country. We are a religious people, living in a diverse society. None of us should be surprised at the presence of religious symbols interspersed with secular ones in the public square.  Quite simply, Americans need no longer fear reprisals against the display of the Ten Commandments, a Nativity scene, or the national motto on government property. It is fitting that a memorial to the men who died in the “war to end all wars,” now ends the war to end all memorials with religious shapes or symbols.  Thanks to the efforts of The American Legion, and some good lawyering at First Liberty Institute, today we have more freedom than we did just a few weeks ago. Being against democracy does not make you an elitist. Far from it.It might mean that, like Aristotle, you are against demagoguery, or like Randall Holcombe, you are for liberty – even when the majority opposes it.Today, most Americans think of “democracy” as the principle underlying government. In 1776, most Americans would have said “liberty.” Democracy was an after-thought, meant to keep elite powers at bay.Hans Herman-Hoppe has called democracy "the God that failed." In his recently revised book Liberty in Peril, Independent Institute research fellow Randall Holcombe elaborates on the history of how the false idol of democracy has undermined freedom in America – and it's not pretty. We must be reminded that democracy is not always in harmony with liberty. Our Founders worried that the Constitution might lead to too much democracy, and judging by the results, it's hard to argue they were wrong. Holcombe provides the long view in his new book. The transformation of the U.S. from a republic, founded on libertarian principles, to a system of majority rule threatening our liberties didn't happen overnight.Listen now to hear the full history from a leading scholar of liberty.

Our Founders wanted a Constitution that would last, and so built a Republic. Might be good for us ALL to understand what one is.

Summary Classical Liberalism was birthed over eight hundred year ago with the signing of the Magna Carta, Magna Carta Libertatum, Medieval Latin for “Great Charter of the Liberties”, in 1215. Transcript The beginnings of Classical Liberalism began over eight hundred years ago with the signing of the Magna Carta, Magna Carta Libertatum, Medieval Latin for “Great Charter of the Liberties”, in 1215. This was the first crack in the “Divine Right of Kings”, which eventually led to the recognition of the “divine rights” of all people as endowed by their Creator proclaimed publically in the American Declaration of Independence in 1776. With this document, the world’s oldest democracy was founded. How did we get from that historic moment of fierce bravery and unity to today’s deep and growing divisions? Classical Liberalism continued to find its voice. By the mid-19th century, it stood for economic and civil liberties, including the separation of church and state, with a limited government under the rule of law, private property, and market-based economies. Simply put, Liberalism stood for economic and civil liberties. Remember, under various monarchies and dictatorships in previous centuries, limited government, the rule of law, civil liberties and free economies were simply unthinkable. By the early 20th Century, a schism appeared with Liberals emphasizing the civil liberties part, and Conservatives emphasizing the economic liberties. Why the schism? Was it legitimate in that certain people thought that one or the other was getting short shrift and needed more attention and resources? Or was it artificially created to give the impression that one view, either the Liberals’ or Conservatives’, was correct, and the other incorrect--dead wrong, in fact? My guess is that both Liberals and Conservatives started on this divided road with the best of intentions; however, once they discovered that each part of the split in Classical Liberalism had its own enthusiastic audience, those two parts of the Classical movement, the two political parties, Democrats and Republicans, warmed to the self-serving task of widening the divide. But the answer to this who dunnit does not matter; today, most voices are all in on deepening and widening the gap--the division--in the body politic. And they are doing it for their own--and their party’s--benefit. For all they care, the country can pick up the pieces later. And whatever happens, both parties will blame the other. And you and I will be left holding the bag. Most certainly our children or grandchildren will be left with the empty bag. Worse, this is clearly a false choice: Why would an entire country be pushed unnecessarily--and dangerously--into choosing between civil and economic liberties? And how did the definition of civil liberties come to include an expanding welfare system? For that matter, how did those espousing economic liberties allow a huge and growing bureaucracy, including a 70K federal page tax code? While we are at it, how did it happen that the separation of church and state part of Classical Liberalism's civil liberties now prohibits things like a high school coach praying on the field at a game? At the time we revolted against England, the Church of England, established by Henry the Eighth’s ego and lust, was their main religion. Our Founders were not exorcising God from all public places.

You cannot believe in God-given rights, good and evil, right and wrong like the Golden Rule or universal truths in the 10 commandments and believe in progressivism. Our Founders put their lives on the line to do what no other nation of the face of this earth has ever done; create a nation based on the concept that we are children of God and therefore we have rights as a result. The modern leadership of the Democratic party rejects the purpose of our Independence, because the intellectual philosophy that undergirds the progressive movement rejects these notions. Later, as we see the attacks on President Trump's potential Supreme Court nominees it underscores how the left thinks and why they oppose these nominations. The country is facing a big decision to appoint a new Supreme Court Justice. The president can nominate anyone of age to the post, but it’s critical that he appoint someone that won't create legislation by a swing of their gavel. Amy Barrett has a 15 year record on Originalism similar to Thomas and Gorsuch. Brett Kavanaugh's writings on the same topic are more recent and its surprising that a sophisticated campaign to promote his nomination are going on despite his lack of a record on textualism and originalism. Our Founders believed in limited government and individual freedoms. Today there is a growing demand for the opposite—socialism. The dictionary defines socialism as, “In Marxist theory, a transitional social state between the overthrow of capitalism and the realization of communism.” Almost half of Millennials say they prefer socialism to capitalism. The decline of the biblical worldview, even amongst Christians, explains the desire for socialism, with its faith in government and ungodly social policies. Life Matters

Welcome Back to Life Matters. We are your program on the right to life, on culture and the very real battle of ideas. Today's program is a special program - you know many Christian stations run this program and while we focus on the right to life as a very clear and non-sectarian commitment to the founding principles of this nation, it's actually a commitment to the founding principles, if you will, of Western civilization. Western Civilization is unique and America is the distillation of the ideals of Western Civilization. That's what happened in 1776. Our Founders took the best ideals of civilization and assertively placed them as their Foundation. There's a Common thread through Western Civilization about the nature of man. He is extraordinary. After the the fall of the Greek culture and its inheritance by the Roman culture, the rule of law and protection of the innocent continued to be affirmed. This thread was reaffirmed by Christianity as Christianity became the dominant cultural influence. The Hippocratic Oath had spelled out the importance of protecting vulnerable lives, but in other aspects of Western Civilization we see reverberating throughout its history a message- and that is the unique nature of the human person. There's something unique about the human person and that's always been a guidestar for Western Civilization. If you have other questions about that premise, go to the podcast site and go to the program on Western civilization and why the Hippocratic Oath has been recognized by anthropologists as the dividing line - as the beginning point of Western Civilization. This was specifically because it meant that those who cared for the most vulnerable would care for, but never kill them.  Primitive and savage cultures before this lived under the law of the jungle, the lex talionis, that freely allowed such killings Under Hippocrates code, those who cared for the most vulnerable human beings swore they would never kill that vulnerable human being because there's something extraordinary about even the most ‘limited’ human life. Again this ‘rule’ is more often demonstrated and its breaking as Shakespeare said, but that truth has echoed throughout human history, particularly in western civilization. So on today's program again, because we're aired on many Christian stations, we're going to get into a little bit of Christian theology for the specific reason that you may go to a Christian church and be appalled that people from your church don't understand or support the right-to-life issue. It can be surprising there's a lot of people, who even though they are Christians and involved in Christianity, it's very clear one of the premises of Christianity is: That you and I are made in the image of God. So not only is there something unique about every human being, but God has endowed us with these unique rights. For Christians to not get that is appalling. Today’s program comes from a trip I took to Albuquerque, New Mexico. We visit with Congressman Bill Redmond.  While he has served in Congress, he is now very active in the Christian Community in Albuquerque.  I think it's very enlightening  - again in the right to life we approach in a non-sectarian matter because our founders said it is according to the laws of nature and of Nature's God and so they don't go further than that  - but Christians do!! Christians say they have a relationship with Nature's God!!! And so Christians more than anyone else should be able to explain why the right to life is important and it really is disappointing when you find fellow Christians who can't or won’t stand for the vulnerable innocent. Bill Redmond takes a shot at explaining why that is.

Contractor Success Map with Randal DeHart | Contractor Bookkeeping And Accounting Services

Our Primary Mission Is The Men And Women - Who are participating in the greatest industry on earth, the construction industry. You dedicate your lives to helping your customers and clients with one of the three primary needs everyone has; housing. Not only housing as a place to live but also the places we work, worship, shop and the roads, bridges, highways and utilities that make civilization possible. We Are Your Advocate helping you achieve your definition of success. You deserve to be wealthy because you add value to other people's lives. Why We Specialize In Outsourced Construction Accounting Every Day At Least One - Of our consultants, business coaches, financial advisors, marketing coaches, and other people that we love and respect ask us why we put so much blood, sweat, tears, time and effort into what they see as a small niche market when we could make so much more money serving a broader market.  The Answer Is Simple - This is not something we stumbled into. It is not something we do as a sideline, Jack-Of-All-Trades-Master-Of-None. Construction Accounting - Is our calling our destiny and something we are deeply passionate and committed to doing. Construction Is The Greatest Industry On Earth Construction Is - The oldest and most respected industry in the universe. Everything began with The Creator and He is a builder and he built everything in seven days. He had a Son who was a carpenter. Which means construction - Traces its roots to the beginning of time and all the men and women who serve in that industry, with integrity, doing the best they can are our brothers and sisters. We are an extended family. Construction Gets Deep - Inside you and will not let go and that is why Sharie and I co-founded Business Consulting And Accounting to still be a part of the construction industry and spend time with the people we love, admire and respect. Construction Is - A tough business and people failure is common. In fact most of our clients have either failed or come very close. It doesn't matter how many times you are knocked down; it only matters that you learn your lessons, get up and go again. Construction Is - What makes civilization and a civilized society possible. It is because of their commitment to step out of their comfort zone to start, own and operate construction businesses that we owe a great debt of gratitude. Our Founders, Sharie and Randal - Have owned, operated and made payroll for several construction companies which means we have been where you are now and we understand the needs of our fellow contractors. A Few People - Have asked if we are so good at running construction businesses why aren't we running one now or at least involved in an equity position in one now. The answer is self-evident. We are in a position of trust and as such we do not compete with our clients we support them. Along The Way - We have caused some of our competitors, C.P.A.'s and Bad Bookkeepers to become unhappy with us. In some extreme cases they have taken us off their Christmas card list and we do not get invited over for Sunday dinner. What a shame, Oh well...as long as we keep our construction clients happy and do our best to live by our principles we will be O.K. We Do Not Have Competition - Because what we do is so unique and we serve only a small fraction of a niche market and continue to innovate, invent, improve and raise the standard by which we operate. At least twice a year someone contacts us to ask how we do what we do because they will lose clients to us and all we can do is apologize, do something to make amends, and help them understand there are a whole lot of industries that we do not serve. In some cases we have helped them with their marketing plan in order to gain more clients and make up for the ones that came to us. We Do Have Cooperation - With fellow accountants, good bookkeepers, bankers, attorneys, financial planners and a whole lot of other professionals that we refer to on a regular basis. Whenever You Meet - Anyone involved in the construction industry please offer them a word of thanks for what they do for all of us. Who We Really Enjoy Working With - New and seasoned, small contractors in residential, commercial, remodel and home building who need bookkeeping, invoicing (flat-rate, not to exceed, time and material, cost plus and more), sales tax reports, payroll processing, payroll reports, job deposits, work in progress, retention tracking, complex pay applications, construction liability insurance audits and construction business process development. We know what to do! http://www.fasteasyaccounting.com/mission-statement/ Warm Regards, Randal DeHart This is one more example of how Fast Easy Accounting is helping construction company owners just like you put more money in the bank to operate and grow your construction company. Construction accounting is not rocket science; it is a lot harder than that and a lot more valuable to construction contractors like you so stop missing out and call Sharie 206-361-3950 or email sharie@fasteasyaccounting.com Thinking About Outsourcing Your Contractors Bookkeeping Services? Our Founders? worse fears have materialized, compliments of Janet Napolitano. For the first time in 233 years, our country has a national police force! The Department of Homeland Security has deputized the entire nation?s police departments to enforce our racist, arbitrary and un-American immigration laws. It?s called the Secure Communities Initiative and it makes Commissar Napolitano the Police Chief in Chief. Is that merely a very bad idea or the beginning of the end of locally controlled police departments? Join Bob and Huffington Post reporter Elise Foley this Sunday at noon to discuss the federal takeover of our cops. What?s next? Can it be stopped?

This presidential election, if you believe the polls and the rhetoric, is about change in Washington. Both candidates promise it, while voters clamor for it. It is the cause of the moment.Yet I have news for you: Change in Washington won't happen, and certainly can't be sustained, without change in the country at large. For the point is not to overthrow the system, it's to make it function properly. Government does not fix itself. Only a citizenry that is engaged in our democracy to an extent far greater than in recent decades can help to heal our system. To get change in Washington, in other words, it has to begin with you.Since being a responsible citizen takes commitment, here are some precepts to follow if you want to be effective — what I call the “Ten Commandments of Citizenship”:Vote. This is the most basic step democracy asks of us. Don't buy the argument that it doesn't matter. Every election offers real choices about the direction we want our towns, states and country to take. By voting, you not only select the officials who will run the government, you suggest the direction government policy should take and reaffirm your support for a representative democracy.Be informed. To be a knowledgeable voter, you need to know what candidates actually stand for, not just what their ads or their opponents' ads say. Read about the issues that confront your community and our nation as a whole. Our government simply does not work well if its citizens are ill–informed.Communicate with your representatives. Representative democracy is a dialogue between elected officials and citizens — that dialogue lies at the heart of our system. Legislators and executives can't do their job well if they don't understand their constituents' concerns, and we can't understand them if we don't know their views and why they hold them.Participate in groups that share your views and can advance your interests. This one's simple: In a democracy, people tend to be more effective when they work together rather than acting as individuals. You can be sure that almost every issue you care about has one or more organizations devoted to it. By joining and working with the ones you think best reflect your views, you amplify your beliefs and strengthen the dialogue of democracy.Get involved locally to improve your community. You know more about your community's strengths and weaknesses than anyone living outside it. Identify its problems and work to correct them. Involvement is the best antidote I know to cynicism.Educate your family, and make sure that local schools are educating students, about their responsibilities as citizens. As a society, we're not as good as we should be at encouraging young people to get involved in political life. Too many young people — and even many adults — do not understand how our government and political system work and why it is important for them to be contributing citizens.Understand that we must work to build consensus in a huge, diverse country. In pretty much every way you can think of, ours is an astoundingly mixed nation of people, with wildly divergent views on most issues and a constantly growing population. This means we have to work through our differences not by hammering on the other side, but by bringing people together through the arts of dialogue, accommodation, compromise, and consensus–building. Understand that our representative democracy works slowly. There's a reason for this: it is so that all sides can be heard, and so that we avoid the costly mistakes produced by haste. Our Founders understood this 220 years ago, and it's even more vital now, when issues are vastly more complex and the entire world is closely connected.Understand that our system is not perfect, but has served the nation well. Democracy is a process designed to give people a voice in how they are governed. It's not perfect — far too many people feel voiceless, and polls in recent years suggest that unsettling numbers believe the system is broken. And our system offers no guarantee that you'll get what you want. Yet it is also true that it provides every individual an opportunity to be heard and to work to achieve his or her objectives, and it has served our nation well for over two centuries.Understand that our system is not self–perpetuating; it demands our involvement to survive. Just because it has worked in the past does not mean we will have a free and successful country in the future. Lincoln's challenge is still urgent: whether this nation so conceived can long endure. Being a good citizen isn't something one does just for the heck of it; it's critical to the success of our nation.Audio Version
