Episode 232How A Man Profits off His FlawsSensers! June is here and so is another episode from yours truly. For starters, how does handle not getting what they want from someone? Throw a fit? Talk it out? Walk away? All of the above? Let's dive into it. I believe we tend to avoid our flaws in ourselves but some of our flaws have certainly helped us profit off them, I am wholeheartedly completely flawed but dammit those very same flaws pushed me into the current version of myself just altering the mindset on those said flaws. What would you consider to be your flaws?I'm talking to the men on this one…fellas have you ever notice without focus that you enjoy doing certain things that traditionally a woman might be into? Not the obvious shit like getting nails done or wearing panties but listening to certain music or watching a “Rom-Com” or drinking fruity drinks? I'll take one for the team and admit the commonly female type shit I've done and share on this topic. May God and His Universe remove any negative energy you may have stored from reading this. If you dig the episode, click, like, and share on your page. Help build the tribe of healing

It's the final Rom-Com Vom—and we're going out with a true vom. DB is joined by the brilliant Kate from CRAMPED to dissect No Strings Attached, a film so bafflingly bad it makes you double-check that yes, it really did come out in 2011. They unpack the film's deeply weird messages about women, work, and love, from its rare-but-still-weird period scene to its tired idea that ambitious women just need to be “fixed” by emotionally unavailable men. Click here to try it out!Welcome back to Bad Dads Film Review, where this week we're going full rom-com with a film that brings swagger, charm, and a surprisingly heartfelt message to the genre: Hitch (2005).Directed by Andy Tennant and starring Will Smith in peak smooth-talking form, Hitch follows Alex “Hitch” Hitchens, a professional dating consultant known as the “Date Doctor.” His job? Helping awkward men win over the women of their dreams. His golden rule? No tricks, just helping guys be the best version of themselves. But when Hitch meets his match in cynical gossip columnist Sara Melas (played by Eva Mendes), he quickly discovers that love isn't something you can plan—or dodge.Alongside the central romance, the film pairs Kevin James and Amber Valletta in a charmingly awkward subplot where Hitch tries to coach James' character, Albert, into wooing a high-powered heiress. The physical comedy here is excellent, and James' earnestness offers a perfect counterpoint to Smith's practiced cool. What sets Hitch apart from other rom-coms of its era is its big-hearted message: behind every confident exterior, there's vulnerability, and real connection comes from authenticity. It's stylish, funny, and doesn't take itself too seriously—but still manages to land some surprisingly sincere moments. Will Smith brings effortless charisma, but it's the ensemble that makes the film tick, and its breezy pacing keeps the whole thing light and engaging. Hitch might be formulaic in structure, but it sticks the landing thanks to strong performances and a script that knows when to wink and when to swoon.Perfect for a date night, guilty pleasure viewing, or just remembering when rom-coms had swagger and sincerity in equal measure.
In this episode Antony reviews the movie I Love You, Man, which has a very profound message for all men who are attempting to live a life of genuine empowerment. The main analysis centres upon the friendship between Peter Klaven and Sydney Fife. Antony then considers the advantages and disadvantages of living a batchelor life vs marriage/relationships. The conversation then shifts into the realm of what it means to be a man in the modern era and the nature of relationships as revealed in the movie.
Novelist Noel Stark takes Papamutes behind the scenes of her debut rom-com "Love, Camera, Action". Drawing from her extensive career working in nearly every position in film and television, Noel crafted an authentic, steamy story about a female director and cinematographer who constantly jostle for control—both on set and in the bedroom.Noel discusses the power dynamics in her novel and how they reflect real industry experiences. Her explanation of how she approaches writing intimate scenes—focusing on what would surprise the characters rather than what might please readers—demonstrates her character-driven approach to storytelling.Whether you're an aspiring writer, film industry professional, or romance reader, this conversation offers a fascinating glimpse into the creative process and the realities of bringing stories from imagination to page.Send Papamutes a Text“THE OPINIONS EXPRESSED OR VIEWS EXPRESSED BY GUESTS DO NOT NECESSARILY REFLECT OR REPRESENT THOSE OF THE HOST; Listen on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, iHeart Radio, Castro, Google Podcasts or wherever you stream your podcasts.

Author Liz Alterman discusses her new book, Claire Casey's Had Enough. Claire Casey is a forty-something year old mom of three who is recently separated from her husband and is facing the decision of whether to reconcile or file for divorce. The book follows Claire through one thirteen-hour day in which her life feels like its spinning out of control. When an old flame gets in touch and asks Claire out on a date, she is forced to revisit her hopes and dreams and things that took a back seat to marriage and family, all while trying to deal with the everyday chaos of being a suburban mom. As it all gets to be too much, Claire has to be honest with herself, take a hard look at her life, and decide what she really wants.

This week we celebrate 18 years of marriage. Whaaaat?! YES. It is our wedding anniversary, and I invited my favorite human (my husband!) back on the podcast to celebrate with me. We're getting real about what it actually looks like to love each other out loud—not just in Instagram-worthy moments, but in hallway hellos, morning text rituals, and that one time on a cruise ship when we totally misunderstood each other... and turned it into one of our best love lessons. This isn't a “how-to” episode. It's a behind-the-scenes look at how we LIVE the frameworks I coach on—✨Soul-Centered Communication, the Power of One, and honoring difference with delight.✨ You'll hear what it sounds like to co-create emotional safety, savor the simple stuff, and stay connected—even when you're not on the same page. Whether you've been married 18 years or 18 months, my hope is that you FEEL the energy under our words: grounded, loving, deeply human. ✨This is love in real life. Not perfect. But deeply, intentionally, joyfully true.✨ Here's what we cover: Why how we greet each other matters more than grand gestures What we've learned about honoring differences (especially when one of us uses 10,000 words... and the other 10!) The small rituals that keep our connection sacred How a cruise ship miscommunication became a masterclass in partnership and one of our forever favorite marriage bloopers Why we sometimes choose rose-colored glasses... on purpose It's tender. It's playful. It's full of gold. I can't wait for you to listen and I absolutely want to hear your favorite takeaway! Come back here and hit reply or message me on instagram.
