By adopting such a framing, these bad actors and their ilk are attempting to divert attention from the real institutional and economic failures of our system onto migrants. This is just one of the many problems that are pinned on to migrants; others include: overstretched services, falling wages, deteriorating living standards, et cetera. Question: How can be our chanting such that it is exclusively in relationship with Krishna rather than a monotonous activity? Answer: You hear about Kṛṣṇa from the Bhāgavatam; read Kṛṣṇa book. Also, have a bhajana. Have a variety of activities you put together, you have to thicken your bhajana. It doesn't mean that you have to stop everything you are doing, because we can't. But you should try to thicken it a little bit every day, or every week, or every month, or every year—including, chanting a chapter of Bhagavad-gītā a day. How therapeutic that is, and how relational it is to Kṛṣṇa! You'll feel that He's directly talking to you, and you'll also experience what you are talking about with the inner work being realized in all your activities. You can do that plus one chapter of Bhāgavatam every day, and also have your pages. You should have something where you say, "Okay, I'll join you in a minute, because I haven't finished my pages." So you should have a quota of pages that you finish every day, whether it's 1 or it's 50 or whatever. But have that. Also make plans to visit Kṛṣṇa at the temple. See Kṛṣṇa. Appreciate what He is wearing. Bring Him a gift. Ring the bell. And then, if you can, organize your life so that you can visit the dhāma periodically. When you go to Vṛndāvana, you walk around Govardhana Hill and visit the various temples. You start to see, "Oh, there's Kṛṣṇa's home." You go see Nandagrāma, and the villages of the aṣṭa-sakhīs and things like that. So you make this composite in your life, mix it together, and keep it really solid. Follow the footsteps of the great ācāryas and stay steady. Saṅkhyā-pūrvaka-nāma-gāna-natibhiḥ—even if it's not voluminous, if it's consistent and you have a nice variety in there, then Kṛṣṇa will reveal Himself. Kṛṣṇadāsa Kavirāja Gosvāmī wants to point out that nothing could compare to the Lord's mercy toward Mahārāja Pratāparudra; therefore he uses the word dekha (“just see”) and caitanyera kṛpā-mahābala (“how powerful is the mercy of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu”). This is also confirmed by Prabodhānanda Sarasvatī: yat-kāruṇya-kaṭākṣa-vaibhava-vatām (Caitanya-candrāmṛta 5). Even a little of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu's mercy serves as a great asset for spiritual advancement. Therefore the Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement must be spread through the mercy of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu. When Rūpa Gosvāmī experienced the mercy and magnanimity of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, he said: namo mahā-vadānyāya kṛṣṇa-prema-pradāya te kṛṣṇāya kṛṣṇa-caitanya- nāmne gaura-tviṣe namaḥ “I offer my respectful obeisances unto the Supreme Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya, who is more magnanimous than any other avatāra, even Kṛṣṇa Himself, because He is bestowing freely what no one else has ever given — pure love of Kṛṣṇa.” Śrīla Locana dāsa Ṭhākura has also sung, parama karuṇa, pahuṅ dui jana, nitāi-gauracandra: “The two brothers Nitāi and Gaura are so kind that no one can compare to Them.” Similarly, Śrīla Narottama dāsa Ṭhākura has sung: vrajendra-nandana yei, śacī-suta haila sei, balarāma ha-ila nitāi, dīna-hīna yata chila, hari-nāme uddhārila, tā'ra sākṣī jagāi-mādhāi “Just to deliver all the sinful persons of this age by propagating the chanting of the holy name, Lord Kṛṣṇa and Lord Balarāma have advented as Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu and Nityānanda Prabhu. Jagāi and Mādhāi are evidence of Their success.” Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu's special mission is the deliverance of all fallen souls in Kali-yuga. Devotees of Kṛṣṇa must persistently seek the favor and mercy of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu to become fit to return home, back to Godhead. Existing FedRAMP certification is no longer required for Department of Veterans Affairs contractors to win bids, a top agency IT official said Tuesday in a memo obtained by FedScoop. Any acquisition documents, including requests for information, proposals or quotations, should not state or imply that a cloud company must have already completed the governmentwide security check, Zack Schwartz, principal deputy assistant secretary in the VA's Office of Information and Technology, said in the memo. Schwartz wrote that the “memo supports VA's ability to sustain momentum with mission needs to provide secure technology solutions in a dynamic cyber risk environment, while avoiding unnecessary delays in the procurement of critical systems and services.” He added that the “distinction is intended to preserve acquisition flexibility while maintaining VA's risk management and operational security standards.” Instead, cloud systems, services and solutions companies must fully comply with other security requirements — including those from the National Institute of Standards and Technology, VA directives and handbooks — and receive a VA Authorization to Operate, which could be granted in 60 days. The Department of Homeland Security is expanding its AI use for FOIA processing in response to a sizable backlog and increasing number of requests, per the agency's annual report. In fiscal 2025, DHS started with 221,068 pending FOIA requests. After receiving more than 1 million requests and processing nearly the same amount, the agency ended the year with 245,572 pending requests. Despite the uptick, DHS said it maintained its backlog — defined as the number of requests or administrative appeals at the end of the fiscal year that are beyond the statutory time for a response — at just 16% of total requests received. Technology could help the agency make a bigger dent in the years to come. “The DHS Office of Privacy continues to invest, develop, implement, and deploy new technological advances in FOIA processing,” the agency said in its 2025 FOIA report, published Thursday. “It expects to launch additional automation tools this coming year to further improve efficiency and reduce administrative redundancies. The best of prayers is the prayer to bring God into your mind through His name; this is universal. There are various ways that people think about this. Human beings are naturally drawn to prayer. You might notice that if you cross a high school playground during the break, you will notice there are groups of kids standing there. When you pass by and listen in a little bit, you'll hear them saying, "Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh my God!" It's just quite natural, and it's in any language that people, when they see something that is awe-inspiring, they'll say, "Oh God, oh my God." Or when some disaster comes, they'll say, "Oh my God." When Oppenheimer—the Manhattan Project, they did the first test of the nuclear weapon, and he quoted from the Bhagavad Gita. Basically, it's just our first reaction. It's visceral. It comes right from the heart. It's quite natural that we think, "Oh God," and it's in any language, in any culture. So this is a natural inclination that everyone has, because we're part of God. We're always under His purview and under His protection, but oftentimes, most of the time, we think we're independent until there's something that urges us to move forward to take shelter. The recommended process by Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, and by the bhakti-yoga literatures, to always keep in contact with Kṛṣṇa or God is to say His name in a prayerful way. That's why we chant Hare Kṛṣṇa. Now, how much should you chant Hare Kṛṣṇa? Well, there's an admonition given by Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu. You want to hear how much he said you should chant Hare Kṛṣṇa? Now, I'm just going to preface it by saying, when you hear this, you should also know that since he said it, it's possible—agreed upon. So he said, "kīrtanīyaḥ sadā hariḥ," which means that you should do it constantly. Now, someone might freak out and say, "Well, how can I possibly do it constantly?" So, great teachers have anticipated this, and also they think in realistic ways. So they've said that don't freak out. Consider that if at least you practice it every day, then that's also for beginners considered doing it constantly. Don't miss a 24-hour period. People get into a moral dilemma about owning things. In fact, there are many economic systems that talk about who owns what. Some say the state owns everything. Then there are very enthusiastic capitalistic systems that say, "No, each person." I don't want to try to truncate the meaning of capitalism, but in general, it belongs to the people. You own your own private property, and so forth. These conceptions run into problems: who owns what, under what circumstances. In fact, it becomes quite litigious. I'll tell you a story I heard this morning. Prabhupāda was speaking about this concept that God owns everything, and then he told a story about some thieves. They went into town at night, and they robbed a few places, and they took all the loot. They went to the edge of town, and they gathered in a circle with all the stuff they stole, and then one of them proclaimed, "Let's divide it equitably and morally." So, there is a cognitive dissonance that people have. When we start thinking about who owns what in the world, there is a bit of a conundrum because whatever we think we own will be unceremoniously taken away from us at a certain point, and other people may put a claim on it also, or a percentage of it, and it gets really complicated. Just as a side, Kṛṣṇa says in the Bhagavad-gītā—and there are other utterances that are very helpful in this way—if you want to be happy for the rest of your life (that's the beginning of a song, but I'll finish in a different way), you should consider that everything already belongs to God. Don't make a claim over it. You can take care of it, but don't think that it belongs to you. This is something Kṛṣṇa mentions in the Bhagavad-gītā when he says: "brahmaṇy ādhāya karmāṇi saṅgaṁ tyaktvā karoti yaḥ." Which means that you should renounce the idea that "this belongs to me." You can use it, but don't think "this is mine to keep." Use it in the right way, and then he says you won't be affected by it. And another place this is mentioned is in the... The Department of Health and Human Services has a vacancy in its top IT post. Clark Minor is no longer listed as the agency's chief information officer, per a webpage with the health department's IT leadership. Instead, David Hong, the principal deputy CIO, is now identified as the department's acting IT chief. It is unclear when the change to the webpage was made. HHS spokespeople did not immediately respond to FedScoop's requests for comment on the timing of Minor's departure as CIO. Per an agency source granted anonymity to speak more candidly, Minor gave notice to the secretary and is staying on as an advisor to help with the transition. Minor began at HHS as its chief technology officer in the early days of the second Trump administration, and was eventually tapped to replace Jennifer Wendel as CIO upon her departure. He has often been affiliated with the now-defunct Department of Government Efficiency organization. Before joining the department, Minor was global head of cloud at Palantir Technologies for over a decade, per his financial disclosure published by ProPublica. The United States and United Arab Emirates are setting up a new bilateral military crew that will hustle to integrate their forces' artificial intelligence capabilities, and deploy joint assets to monitor and enhance regional security. Task Force Talon Synapse is slated to soon be fully operational, U.S. Central Command announced Tuesday. If we take it up and have something tangible to offer to Śrīla Prabhupāda, then I guarantee you, all of us will be dancing in ecstasy together in a kīrtana to celebrate the fact that we did something together that is unassailable, that is perfectly aligned, and that it will bring joy to the heart of Śrīla Prabhupāda. He promised the devotees who had worked on the Caitanya-caritāmṛta marathon to produce the entire set of Ccs within a couple of months that they would go back to Godhead. He promised them in writing, and he said at the end, he guaranteed they would. So we could leave at any minute. There's no guarantee we're going to live for five more seconds. Let's put our energy into this and astound the world and astound ourselves by hitting this goal, smashing 100,008. Every set counts. It's never too late. Even the last day makes a difference. But start now. Lean into it. Talk about it. Advocate for it, and keep the number visible! We are continuing our reading of the pastimes of Rathayātrā, because we've been given the facility by the Śrī Guru-paramparā, and therefore our participation in hearing is rightly done. śṛṇvatāṁ sva-kathāḥ kṛṣṇaḥ puṇya-śravaṇa-kīrtanaḥ hṛdy antaḥ stho hy abhadrāṇi vidhunoti suhṛt satām (SB 1.2.17) Simply by hearing about Kṛṣṇa's unlimited pastimes, one will have a change of heart. The human body is specifically designed to hear about Kṛṣṇa, and we have God-given intelligence, so that we can enter deeply within the pastimes, and we can also transfer ourselves from this realm—which is a little rocky, to say the least—back to the spiritual realm. We can also develop the wherewithal to explain the process of Kṛṣṇa consciousness to others simply by hearing. No other education is necessary except for hearing and hearing and hearing more. Everything else takes place from the inside out.
