Das Album "Let it Bleed" kam im November heraus, mit "Gimme Shelter" und "You can´t always get what you want" enthielt es gleich mehrere Klassiker der Band. It´s only Rock n Roll" (vom gleichnamigen Album). Peters Playlist für die wilden 70er: Single: Honky Tonk Women (7/1969) Let It Bleed (1969): Gimme shelter, Live with me, Let it bleed, Midnight Rambler, You can't always get what you want Sticky Fingers (1971): Brown sugar, Wild horses, Can't you hear me knocking, Sister Morphine, Moonlight mile Exile On Mainstreet (1972): Tumbling dice, Sweet Virginia, Torn and frayed, Happy, Let it loose, Shine a light, Soul survivor Goats Head Soup (1973): Coming down again, Angie, Winter, Scarlet (feat. Jimmy Page/DeLuxe Edition 2020) It's Only Rock'n'Roll (1974): Ain't too proud to beg, Till the next goodbye Black And Blue (1976): Hot stuff, Memory motel, Fool to cry Some Girls (1978): Miss you, Some girls, Far away eyes, Beast of burden

You've probably heard “The Blues”, you may have had them before, you might even play blues, it's a very human genre with instrumentation that is highly digestible and easy to teach and learn. Which is what makes playing and listening to the blues such a universal experience. It's amazing how much emotion can be conveyed through a simple 3 chord song. My guests today Jake Friel (touring harmonica singer and vocalist as well as recording artist) and Alex Goldberg (touring bassist and recording artist) are no strangers to the blues. They currently play with Colorado Americana Blues Staple, AJ Fullerton (who was featured on the show on Episode 18) Aside from AJ, Alex plays with many different acts nationally and internationally! He currently plays regularly with SMIRK [hip-hop/ neo-soul], Sheridan Blvd [Contemporary Funk], Sweet Virginia, The Celtic Angels, and has played bass with many greats. Read his full bio on his site [link this sentence]Jake also has a career of his own and as we talk about in the episode, he has not one… but two full length albums that are unreleased, as well as tons of other new material coming down the pike. Jake has a voice that's full, smooth and buttery, with just the right amount of grit. His voice was made to sing the blues. You might relate to this conversation if you're:A Fan of blues music who wants to hear some in depth discussions about the history of blues music, and how musicians who play this style pay homage to its rich historyA blues musicianA touring musicianA recording artistA Music History aficionadoOr  if you just feel like taking a few hours to listen to a chill conversation about music history, harmonica, what music means vs what the music business makes it feel like it should beThis is the What More Can I Say Podcast, the show “Dedicated to Truth Seeking, Through Conversations with Conscious Makers & Creators” and I hope you enjoy my wide ranging conversation with Jake Friel and Alex GoldbergSongs mentioned in episode: B.B. Interior British Columbia is having a moment. Two indie thrillers shot in sleepy communities east of Vancouver are hitting the screen this winter. Sweet Virginia, filmed in Hope, and Hollow in the Land, shot in Castelgar. The director of the latter, Scooter Corkle, grew up in the Kootenays, and used his inside knowledge to capture the milieu of the area. The setting gives the movie a realistic vibe and a degree of freshness. It's also a reminder that the BC tax credit works all the same within and outside Vancouver. The Canadian Crew talked at length with Scooter Corkle. We discussed the casting of Dianna Agron -understated and superb as the lead-, the challenges of shooting in Castelgar, and his other project, currently shaping up across the border.

From a lowly barber attempting to blackmail his wife's lover in the Coen brothers THE MAN WHO WASN'T THERE to a father protecting his son from the life he's chosen in Sam Mendes' ROAD TO PERDITION. Those two films lead us to new release SWEET VIRGINIA starring Jon Bernthal and Christopher Abbott as two men from the same part of the world brought together by chance and of course... crime. Jamie Dagg is a film director based in Toronto, Ontario. Jamie and I met in 1991 when a promoter friend of his booked a band I worked for into a hall in Timmins, Ontario. Jamie also booked my first band in on our second tour of Canada into a basement in Timmins. Jamie has always been a music guy and would take road trips to Toronto to buy music and see shows. Jamie took that commitment to everything he worked at. These days, Jamie has finished a full length feature film called "Sweet Virginia". Sweet Virginia stars Jon Bernthal who we all know as Shane from Walking Dead. The movie as of now is on the festival circuit and will be coming out in November to a theatre near you. Here's the IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2582498/ This Episode is brought to you in part by: Beaus All Natural Brewing co. https://beaus.ca/ Full Time I.P.A. In three words: Hoppy, fruity, bold. It's our newest full time brand, which is where we got the name! Tasting notes: Full Time I.P.A. pours hazy deep gold with a dense white foam. Aromas of citrus, tropical fruit and pine abound. The flavour mirrors the aroma impressions with pronounced juicy fruit. A balanced bitterness underpins the flavour. This medium bodied ale finishes dry with lingering hop and fruit notes. Lug Tread In three words: Crisp, balanced, refreshing. Lug Tread is a lagered ale (a term we coined!), it's top-fermented like an ale, and cold-aged like a lager. It's been our flagship brand since we opened in 2006. As of 2017, it's now available in 355ml cans for the first time. It's won more than 20 awards. Tasting notes: Lug-Tread pours a brilliantly clear straw gold, with rocky white foam. A Graham cracker malt character mingles with notes of freshly cut hay and a subtle touch of apple. Sweet, grainy malt is followed by balanced hop bitterness, and the finish is clean and dry. Shop with amazon.ca, amazon.com and amazon.co.uk  Bookmark the link and support the show!!
