Dr. Csomai Zita - Vashiány, vérszegénység - Családi Manna Ferencz Gabival 2025. 03. 23. by MannaFM
Facebook: www.facebook.com/petofiradio/ Instagram: www.instagram.com/petofiradio/

"Startups can use AI to expedite their time-to-market, but they still need an innovative product or a unique problem-solving approach to truly thrive. AI can accelerate their potential for rapid growth and scalability in certain situations, however, I don't believe that a startup solely relying on AI plugins or functionalities can sustain a long-term business model." - Bhavik Vashi “The beauty of Asian SaaS companies' business model is that 50 to 70% of costs will be people's costs. Everything else is controllable. If you're building in Asia, you're serving consumers and businesses at a lower price point but you're also paying at a lower price point. If you're running a company in the west and serving the east is a failing proposition, but if you're running and serving in the east, then you've brought both down." - Bhavik Vashi "Enterprise sales require a strong value proposition and a higher ASP or average sales price associated with your product. I always worry about a company that's running a sales-driven motion with a low ASP because something seems missing. Solving a complex and impactful problem will likely require a human-to-human interaction to understand the specific context and how your product, along with a service, can address it." - Bhavik Vashi In the discussion between Jeremy Au and Bhavik Vashi, several key insights were shared regarding B2B SaaS, AI, and personal experiences. Regarding B2B SaaS, it was highlighted that building a successful B2B SaaS product at a lower price point requires careful consideration of unit economics, including accurate estimation of customer lifetime value and acquisition costs. Many companies tend to underestimate these factors, leading to challenges in profitability. Additionally, Bhavik emphasized the potential in Asia for B2B SaaS, where lower price points for serving consumers and businesses are matched by lower costs, creating a balanced equation. The conversation shifted to AI, where both participants explored its potential impact. While acknowledging uncertainties, they speculated that proprietary data sets could become increasingly valuable, potentially benefiting startups by leveraging AI technologies. They also mentioned the need for a nuanced approach, considering ethical considerations and potential challenges such as bias. Lastly, Bhavik shared his personal experience of relocating from the US to Asia. The decision involved leaving behind established personal and professional networks, and while family and friends were reversible, the professional implications were more significant. However, Bhavik expressed satisfaction with his choice and highlighted the growth and learning opportunities it provided. Overall, the discussion provided insights into building B2B SaaS products, the potential of AI, and the personal challenges associated with making bold life decisions. On this episode we discover important female figures in history that had dreamed big!!!. Lets read this amazing book together!
Many people assume that career goals and health goals have to be mutually exclusive (waiting for the next hiatus to start a diet or exercise program? That’s what I thought). What I have found through years of coaching students in the Optimizer coaching & mentorship program is that once a general baseline of health and good habits are set, lifestyle and career goals can absolutely work hand in hand. Today's guest, editor Vashi Nedomansky, ACE lends a unique perspective on this topic. Before he was editing and consulting on projects such as Sharknado 2, Deadpool, House of Cards, and Gone Girl, he was playing professional hockey in the NHL for the New York Islanders and the Los Angeles Kings. This unusual career path has taught him the skills and mindsets to keep his body and mind in top condition while also honing his creative and mental faculties to meet the demands of working in Hollywood editing bays. This conversation reveals the similarities in maintaining a balanced life in two seemingly disparate professional careers while highlighting the common habits and routines necessary for that balance. If you are tired of sacrificing your health every time you are on a job, this episode is going to give you some easy tools and tips for building fitness into your workday. And if you are hoping to increase your value as an editor, gain speed to get the job done faster, and improve your mental energy so you have more time outside of work, Vashi is a wealth of information. That’s why despite this being an older interview pulled from the Fitness In Post archives I chose to share it with you because it provides just as much (if not even more) value today. Want to Hear More Episodes Like This One? » Click here to subscribe and never miss another episode Here's What You'll Learn: Why he likes editing all different types of projects, formats, and genres. Vashi's background of how he defected from Czech Republic with his parents as a kid and grew up watching movies with his mom. How he simultaneously played hockey in high school and college while making short films with a VHS camera that weighed 40 pounds. The uncanny similarities in Vashi's introduction to editing to my own personal story. He always had the mindset that he had to train physically and mentally to expand his horizons and give himself options. Vashi's process of consciously living with his footage before he even starts editing. How the demands of professional hockey compare to film editing. The one word that makes the difference in being successful in your career (HINT: it's not talent). Ways to systematize your editing workflow to gain efficiency and speed. Exercise is a way of life for Vashi and he prioritizes it every day. The different ways he exercises his brain and keeps his mental skills up to task. His role on Deadpool and Gone Girl helping to set up the Adobe Premiere Pro work flow. He values sharing and showing things with no agenda. KEY TAKEAWAY: You only need to focus on the NEXT most important thing to do. How inner confidence plays a role in your career and your well being. Fitness tools he keeps in his office to keep in shape during the day. PRO TIP: 'Greasing the groove' by doing small bouts of exercise during the day will eliminate the guilt of not having time to do a "workout" after a long day of editing. We welcomed Ric Rodriguez to the RankUp podcast for episode 17 to discuss his unique take on SEO strategy. You can listen to the full interview on your podcast app of choice, or right here on this page. And now, for the first time, you can keep reading to see the first 20 minutes of the interview in text form, or use the contents block below to skip to a paritcular topic of interest. Introducing Ric Ben: Can you give us a quick overview of how you got to your current role and what that means for you now? Ric: So first things first. I'm Search Director at Vashi, which means my responsibility is across paid search and organic search. I'm also overseeing our performance channels as well. [Before Vashi] I was predominantly an agency-side marketer, including being employee number four at Three Whiskey, so I was agency through and through. I also spent a year at Yext, a technology vendor in the search space. While I was there, I was effectively their European evangelist talking to businesses about all the wonderful things that search can do for them. How do you start out with SEO in a new industry? Ben: What it was like for you getting to grips with the SEO requirements for a site that you're now Search Director for, you were new to? Ric: Whether you're agency or in-house, you have to learn quite quickly. That was the challenge with me. I can't claim to have been a super expert on the jewellery industry…I bought jewellery before I and thought I knew a lot, but as with all different subjects, there's tons of tons of information out there that you need to know. I've learned to approach these challenges in a way in which I put myself in the mindset of the customer and then figure out what's out there. So let's take a general example. You might know nothing about mortgages. And so the first thing you do is say, “What would I do if I actually needed the mortgage?” The first thing I'll be doing is looking at what's in the search results. I then go to YouTube, and lots of different places to start to piece these ideas together and build my knowledge, and then you start to follow the rabbit holes as you figure out more. Over time, you get to learn the industry and what's out there in the competitive landscape. Exploring the search landscape like a customer Edd: It sounds like you're approaching it from a joint view where there's a professional level to which you need to know stuff, where you're in-house or agency. If you're going to provide good service, you need to get a base level understanding of what you're working in. But you're also able to replicate what a user on the street is doing pretty closely because you're having to do the same searches as customers who don't know the industry. I've mentioned before that I was sitting next to a friend when he was shopping for a jacket and I saw him go to image search, and I thought, “Why are you searching that way?” But it's these ways of thinking like a customer or trying to get to know how a customer shops within that industry that gives you the biggest wins. Ric: We often think of search often as a search engine and therefore we have a very clear view of what the output is. I prefer to think of search as a verb, not a noun, because it is ultimately a way in which anyone can look for information and find it. It could be anything from traditional search engines like Google, to third party comparison sites, or image search in your example.

Multi-instrumentalist Sid Vashi got Fresh Out The Box right on the cusp of the New Delhi leg of his Azuma Kazuma album launch tour. In conversation with DJ MoCity, Vashi played out the songs on his latest release, and shed light, among other things, on his days in Detroit playing jazz, the experiences that shaped his first album Motherland Tourism, leading into the nitty-gritties of Azuma Kazuma and also the sampling ideologies that seemingly extend to his unique visual aesthetic.
All the President's Minutes is a podcast where conversations about movies, journalism, politics and history meet. Each show we use the seminal and increasingly prescient 1976 film All The President's Men as a portal, to engage with the themes and the warnings of the film resonating since its release. For minute 122, I join incredible editor and editorial consultant with credits that include Gone Girl and Deadpool, Vashi Nedomansky. Vashi and I discuss the murderer's row of actors in sixty seconds, playing this movie in his edit suite on a loop and Redford calling this movie a "howdunnit about a whodunnit." ------------------------ *About Vashi Nedomansky* ------------------------ Vashi Nedomansky defected from Czechoslovakia as a child during the Cold War and grew up in Toronto and Detroit. Following his career as a professional hockey player, Vashi has been a film editor in Los Angeles since 2001. The lecture was given by Swami Tattwamayananda on August 14, 2020.- 5th chapter: verses 10, 11, 12, 13-10th verse: “Those who do their actions without attachment, offering their actions and results to God – they are not affected by anything. They are like a lotus leaf that lives in water, but never gets wet”.-The ability to detach oneself from the results of actions is one of the most important characteristics of Yoga. When established in Yoga, one does his actions with great efficiency, but mentally remains detached, thereby remaining stress free.-When we perform actions with obsessive attachment to results, we are enslaved – worried about the results. The path to freedom is to work with full enthusiasm but without obsessive attachment to results of our actions.-Yuktah is a person who is established in the Yoga ideal. Whatever he does, becomes an offering to the sacrificial fire of Brahman. All his activities get a spiritual direction – even seeing, hearing, touching, smelling, eating, going, sleeping, breathing, speaking, excreting, grasping, and opening/closing the eyelids.-11th verse: “A spiritual seeker evolving towards the highest state performs actions with his body, mind, intellect and sense – but remains unaffected, as he practices the spiritual tool of non-attachment in every micro-moment, in every thought, word and deed.”-The psychological meaning of non-attachment can be understood by contrasting a Yogi with an adventurer. Both work with great tenacity. However, if results fall short of 100%, the Yogi continues to smile, while the adventurer may feel shattered. Non-attachment does not mean indifference to action.-We feel fatigued when we associate ourselves with the body and mind. Our true nature is Atman. The more we associate with Atman, the farther away we go from the body and mind identity. Then we can watch our body and mind doing the work, without feeling fatigued.-Nitya-mukta is a person who is ever-free, never bound by any entanglements, and always established in his true nature as Atman. For him there is no origination or termination of bondage, he is never bound, and he does not need to struggle for liberation.-12th verse: “Those who are established in Yoga (Yuktah), mentally give up obsessive attachment to results of their actions, and attain the highest peace. Those who do not practice Yoga, are swayed by their desires, remain attached to the results of their actions, and get bound.-Peace described here refers to natural, effortless, perpetual peace. It is not the temporary presence or absence of happiness and unhappiness.-Rajarshi is one who combines kingly and saintly qualities. He works with full enthusiasm and efficiency like a king, but he remains totally free from attachment.-13th verse: “The person who has control over his senses, resides in the body of nine gates, established in his true identity as Atman. He looks upon himself distinct from the body, and not involved in any action”.-Vashi is a person who has succeeded in controlling his senses. He can direct his mind in one direction, rather than letting it be dragged in five directions by the five senses. Whatever he does, he can do with 100% attention.-The body is compared to a city with nine gates where the Atman resides. The nine gates are: Two eyes, two ears, two nostrils, one mouth, and two in the lower part of the body.-From Mundaka Upanishad: “The Lord creates this world like a spider. It emits a substance from its body, builds a net, stays there and then withdraws the net into itself. Similarly, the Lord creates this world using Himself as the material and efficient cause. Then He withdraws it within Himself.”-Jivatma resides within the body, but remains distinct from it, and independent. When the body decays, jivatma accepts another body.-One cannot practice non-attachment so long as he looks upon himself as the body. The first step to spiritual evolution is to have a belief that there is a transcendental, divine spark that presides over the body and that is distinct from it.
Shiva means one who is desired by all. Happiness is what is desired by all. In the world we only experience temporary pleasure. How do we experience Supreme Happiness? How do I get out of the sense of incompleteness and experience Supreme Bliss? Shiva reversed becomes Vashi. Vashi means Self-Mastery. If we master our Body, Breath, Mind, Intellect and align all of them, we attain Self-Mastery. Shiva is a Master of all these. Once we align these aspects, we can turn within and experience Absolute Bliss. This Women's class about Purim was presented on Tuesday, 2 Adar, 5777, February 28, 2017, at Ohr Chaim, Monsey, NY. Four sages, Rabbi Meir, Rabbi Yehudah, Rabbi Yosi and Rabbi Shimon, debate how much of the megilah must be read on Purim. Three of them suggest starting at the point in the story where the Jewish angle begins. Either from mid chapter two, where Mordechai is introduced. Or from chapter three where Haman is introduced. Or from ch. 6 where the king has a sleepless night and decides to reward Mordechai. Yet the verdict and Jewish tradition till this very day follows Rabbi Meir who says that we must read or listen to the entire book of Esther, in order to fulfill our obligation on Purim. But this viewand verdictseems strange. Why would there be a religious obligation to listen on Purim to the story of a Persian Kings feast? Of how he executed his first queen? These are interesting historical stories, but why the obligation to listen to them on Purim? Why is it that we fulfill the mitzvah of hearing the Megillah only if we learn of the detailed designs at the Kings 187-day party? True, if Vashi would have not been killed, Esther would not have become queen and would not be able to save her people. Yet, this is only the prerequisite to the storynot the story itself. Why is it that if someone decides to skip ch. 1 and go straight into ch. 2, they have to rehear the Megilah, as they have not fulfilled the mitzvah? We all know that you can get away reading a novel and mastering it even if you skip the introductionthe details that describe events prior to the main story and plot? The very name Purim, which in Persian means a goral, a lot, seems strange. Haman has cast a random lot to determine the right day in which to kill all of Jews. But then why do we call it Purim in the plural, not Pur? In 1840 the First Opium War took place between China and Britain. It was essentially a conflict about foreign trade in China. Finally in 1842, the treaty of Nanjing was signed, which essentially turned Shanghai into an international city, open freely for trade for people of all countries. If you were reading a newspaper in 1842, you would not see in this story anything essential to the story of the Jewish people and our mission in the universe. Just another bloody and tragic conflict in the East. But exactly 100 years later, we all discovered that this was part of a tapestry of events that saved generations of Jews. The Megillah teaches us how to view world-events. The story of Purim is not that G-d saves the Jews from annihilation. It is a much deeper story: that the lavish feast of a mighty King is part of a vast cohesive plan. In Judaism, small fragmented details of our lives are all part of an integrated tapestry. One warm good morning by a prisoner changes history.

Vashi Nedomansky, editor of Sharknado 2 and many other films and documentaries, as well as a consultant on several projects such as Deadpool, Gone Girl, and House of Cards, is quite possibly the coolest editor on the planet. I can honestly say I've never met an editor who was a former NHL hockey player. And while the combination of professional athlete and film editor may not make a lot of sense at first, in this episode we dive deep into how the mindsets of being successful in either profession are incredibly similar. We geek out on sports psychology, physiology, how Vashi stays fit living in the edit bay, how to earn the trust of your directors and producers, cool ways to set up hot keys, developing mental fortitude....we basically run the gamut. Want to kick some ass in the edit bay? Vashi will show you how. (Editor's Note: In the show intro Zack mentions that Vashi played hockey for the Detroit Red Wings. This is incorrect. TRANSCRIPT Temperatures are rising in India, and we aren't talking about man-made climate change. For the corrupt Cdl. Oswald Gracias — extremely close to Pope Francis, in fact — they're beginning to boil. Earlier this week, following a series of reports by our Rome correspondent, Dr. Jules Gomes, where a secret phone recording was leaked to Church Militant showing His Eminence engaging in an attempt to control bad news about a bishop he's trying to cover for, one of the most respected judges on the planet, Michael Saldanha, issued a legal notice to the cardinal for libel. The notice is in response to Gracias' video statement saying Church Militant "mischievously edited" the tape of the phone recording, which, of course, we did not. We cut it down for length, a standard media practice. In the judge's legal notice, he tells Gracias to step down — as in resign — before he brings irreparable harm to the Church. The most salient part, which the Vatican will hone in on, is from paragraph six: When the cardinal goes on record to use the word "mischievously" edited, he is inviting a libel action for damages, which could not be less than $100 million because he represents the Church, and the Church can easily afford to pay it, apart from a prosecution. As a person who knows the law and the facts, I need to caution the Church that this action has been invited and that it would be defenseless in any part of the world. Now, for the record, this information has just come to us, and we are not experts at libel law in India, but we may very well become so. Various parts of India were already in an uproar over this case, and, now, the pressure is mounting daily. The focus of the two-year-old secret phone call was Bishop K.A. William and his purported string of children from at least five different mistresses. As calls mounted for him to take a paternity test, the Vatican had to step into the quagmire as well as Gracias, urging William to take the DNA test. Both clerics are now in batten-down-the-hatches mode. But here is the wider scandal: Gracias admits in the call that he will arrange for the test to happen at a Catholic hospital, which will give him total control over the fallout, media included. That is the part Gracias didn't want anyone to hear. Well, too late. So, of course, once Church Militant released the recording, Gracias was in a bind, having to go on record in a rare video appearance last weekend and accuse CM of "mischievously editing" the recording. That false claim is what escalated this to the point where Judge Saldanha issued his legal notice today. In Indian law, Gracias must respond within a specified time frame, denying the allegations made against him, or it will be deemed that he has admitted guilt. So it will be interesting to see what he and his lawyers cook up. Just looking across the very broad landscape, we can say, with certainty, that Church Militant could certainly use $100 million — lots of expenses here. As a result of all this, William is on self-imposed lockdown, not venturing outside of his compound, even canceling a Mass he was supposed to offer at a convent. In America, we call that "tick-tock" — meaning the walls are closing in and time is running out. It is the publicity from Church Militant that is bringing this to a head, and both clerics are now in batten-down-the-hatches mode. If William doesn't resign (or is removed), then the scandal just keeps growing. If he does, then that will be an admission that he is guilty, regardless of how much wordsmithing the resignation letter would have. And if he resigns (again, because he's guilty), then all eyes turn to Gracias, who has covered for him for years now. And to boil it down, remember what Gracias is actually covering up: out-of-wedlock children running around, whose father is a deadbeat dad. Who is paying the expenses for these children? Who is raising them and taking care of their spiritual needs? Are Church funds being used secretly to tend to their needs? If so, that's its own issue, especially after five mistresses. And, at this point, we can rightly ask, is it just five? If Church funds are not being used, then what is the disposition of the children? This whole scandal has only served to increase scrutiny on how Gracias does business, but it is resurrecting other problem cases. Gracias not only covers up for heterosexual bishops, but he also covers up for, of course, homosexual priests who rape altar boys. All are welcome, after all, in the Church of tolerance and inclusion. And a side note here — this would be bad for any bishop, but this bishop is one of Pope Francis' closest confidants. Last December, an Indian special court handed down a conviction against Fr. Lawrence Johnson, who had raped a 12-year-old altar boy at Christ the King, a parish in the suburbs of eastern Mumbai. Father Johnson's animalistic rape of the 12-year-old was so severe, that the boy had to receive medical treatment for profuse anal bleeding. Likewise, Johnson infected the boy with syphilis. When the family found out, they went straight to the priest, who, when confronted, fell to his knees and confessed everything, begging for forgiveness. Nevertheless, armed with an admission of guilt and a direct meeting with the family, Gracias spent huge sums of money defending the child abuser and rapist. The legal fees were as high as 10 million Indian rupees (or $125,000) for one of Bombay's celebrity lawyers to defend the homopredator priest. Taking a page from the playbook of American bishops, Gracias just kept transferring him. As it turns out, Johnson was raping other boys at previous parishes, right under the cardinal's nose. Those parishes include Our Lady of Lourdes, Orlem; St. Anthony's Church, Malwani; St. Anthony's Church, Mankhurd; Our Lady of the Rosary, Goregaon; and Sacred Heart Church, Vashi. Taking a page from the playbook of American bishops, Gracias just kept transferring him. Johnson used to be the driver for Bp. Allwyn D'Silva, one of Gracias' auxiliary bishops, and that is why he was protected, insiders say. It's all about who you know. Gracias let this nightmare legal process go on for six years. Huge legal bills, agony for the family — not the slightest bit of concern for the boy (or other boys), for that matter. So the renewed attention on his corruption and lack of empathy is more than warranted. All of which makes his role as a close — very close — senior advisor to the pope extremely questionable, especially considering the starring role he had back during the sex abuse summit at the Vatican in 2019. Francis appointed him (along with pro-gay Blase Cupich) to head up the summit, called in the aftermath of the Theodore McCarrick revelations, as a kind of damage control, kabuki theater operation. On top of libel and cruelty, you can add Gracias' outlandish hypocrisy, as he sat there in Rome, schooling the Church and the associated international press about how horrible sex abuse is. Damage control seems to be high up on the resumé of Cdl. Gracias, not just on the international stage but especially in India. So the cardinal now has a couple of weeks or so to answer the legal notice. Meanwhile, we are just getting into the hottest part of the year. How's your air conditioner, Eminence?
