The battle had commenced for both teams… Maybe it was a sign of fortune, divinity, or whatever you may wish to think, but the team worked together, dealing heavy damage to Malar and Enich. Galahad shows the divine wrath of Bahamut when Malar goes after Zechs and deals an impressive blow. Turk more than shows his abilities in spades, as he uses his form of dread to inflict fear into the god of the Wild Hunt. Afterwhich Zechs deals some up close and personal shots at Malar imbued with a touch of divine energy. Enich needed to heal himself immediately after Shanks' first volley of arrows. Salix uses Juniper's Bloom to cast Gravity Fissure on Enich which he manages to avoid the brunt of but with his back pressing against the wall, it's time to start taking them more seriously. Glad uses her divine magic to cast Bless on the group within Zechs' mind. Malar begins to cast Fire Storm when Turk counterspells the god keeping his new team safe and out of harm's way. Back outside Enich summons shadows that keep the team at bay and they regroup. Malar summons wolves to even the playing field, which are taken care of almost immediately before a sinister laugh comes from him, and he summons even more of them.Enich uses his Dread Lord ability to begin shifting the tides. With that, the group hesitates to approach as per Galahad's earlier warning, and Enich starts shouting about how cowardly they all are. Galahad puts Kana's Fury into Malar's chest, twists it, and says, “Didn't I tell you I was going to wear you?” Malar chuckles before fading, and the group wakes up to see a battle only a few feet away. Enich approaches Salix with his Flame Tongue Longsword and strokes them down. Turk casts Heat Metal on Enich's armor as a tactical move to make any further attacks toward the group at a disadvantage. Enich turns to Turk, points his sword to him, and casts Blight. Even with the combined efforts of the entire group, Enich is giving them a challenging time. Having already donned sturdy armor, the combination of the Shield spell makes it seem impossible to hit him. Greyleaf takes Salix and backs them away from the ensuing fight. Glad heals Salix and picks them back up before casting Magic Missle towards Enich. Arioch's paladin is up, but he's on the defensive. Zechs drops the Hunter's Mark, whom he put on Enich upon entering the fight, and instead summons “Wolfy,” his Beastial Spirit, to assist Galahad as best as it can in this battle of the paladins. As we approach the end of the fight, Shanks can get a shot off with his purple-worm-tipped arrow, dealing a heavy blow to Enich. Salix, now back up, uses Call Lightning to affect Enich is area, but Galahad and Wolfy get caught in the spell. Thankfully, they manage to survive and deal another blow to Enich, who isn't going down without a fight. Greyleaf manages to attack Enich with his Onyx Blade. Enrich casts Destructive Wave as he strikes the ground, and a wave of thunder and necrotic energy hits nearly everyone. Galahad attacks Enich, slashing him across his chest, taking the back end of the sword, and hitting him in the side of the head. Enich exchanges a few words with Galahad before going unconscious. Glad uses Sacred Flame to finish the job, and Enich goes to the afterlife. We learn about his friendships with Zandra Rhodes, Vivienne Westwood, Derek Jarman and his recent collaboration with Stella McCartney for her Paris catwalk show.Logan (b. 1945) belongs to a unique school of English eccentrics. One of Britain's principal sculptural artists, he challenges convention, mixes media and plays with our artistic values. Since its beginnings, Logan's work has depended on the inventive use of whatever was to hand. With flair and fantasy he transformed real objects into their new and different versions. His artistic world includes fauna, flora, planets and gods. His love of travel provides the bases for several series of work.Born in Oxford in 1945, he qualified in architecture in the late 1960s and has worked across the fields of sculpture, stage design, drama, opera, parades, festivals and interior design. To him, “Art can be discovered anywhere.”Logan crosses cultures and embodies artistic fantasy in a unique and unprecedented way. His work is the art of popular poetry and metropolitan glamour. From his early fame amongst London's fashionable crowd, he has become an influential artist of international stature, with exhibitions as far afield as Los Angeles (USA), Monterrey (Mexico) and St Petersburg (Russia).Versatile and enterprising designer and sculptor, born in Witney, Oxfordshire, who graduated with a diploma in architecture from Oxford School of Architecture, 1964–70. HEADS UP: This episode speaks about having a living baby after loss. Sarah from episode 24 is back to chat with me about our experiences in this phase of loss life with a 4 month and 6 month old. This is uncharted territory for both of us and we have mutually felt that there is not much being said in the loss community about how challenging it is to have a living baby after loss. We want to tell you about what we've learned.  While mine and Sarah's losses are very different, we share the same feelings about the trauma, joy, grief, challenges, and pain that occur when having a living baby after your first baby dies.We navigated loss life after Brody and Nathanial died. This new season of fresh stories all about personal experiences. I take my son on a lot of hikes. One time he decided to bring two of his stuffed animals on our hike in Grizzly Creek. Their names are Wolfy and Toothclaw. Toothclaw decided to take a swin in the creek and I went after him. This story is told in the first person using the past tense. Important vocabulary in the story includes: “arroyo” (creek/stream), “sendero” (path/trail), “mochila” (backpack), and “peluche” (stuffed animal). No matter where you are in your language journey, stories will help you on your way. Gisela Bengfort shares her children's book series: Wolfy's Adventure. This is episode 510 of Teaching Learning Leading K12, an audio podcast. Gisela Bengfort-Piatti frequently tells stories to her kids and grandkids about animals, empathy, making decisions, and unlimited possibilities. Camryn, one of her grandkids, inspired her to write down some of these family stories and true events from her past to the present.  Her children's book series covers topics of trust, friendship, fortitude, overcoming challenges, resilience, and love. The stories show that it takes courage to live life fully, that we can't always win but to not try guarantees a loss, that every failure makes us grow bigger, and that nothing is static for long. Gisela loves the outdoors and all animals. You can find her on many Bay Area trails, sharing her laughter with family and friends. She was born in Switzerland, where she met the love of her life, Joe Bengfort, in 1997. Six months later, they got married in the USA, and she moved with her two kids, Patrick and Selina, from Switzerland to the USA. They became a patchwork family as Joe also had two kids, Lindsey and Joseph. Prior to writing children's books full-time and raising a family, she was a successful business woman. She served as the executive director of San Jose State University for the College Alumni of Business. She also created her own salad-dressing, Gigi's Gourmet Salad Dressing, developed in a food laboratory and distributed to Texas retailers.  In Switzerland, she was a sales representative for Christian Dior, worked for Accenture (Anderson Consulting) and was a sales representative for an international pharmaceutical company, Berton Dickinson. Kyver emerges from the bag of holding he was kept in and is informed that he was a means to an end. His captors? Worshipers of the goddess Tiamat. On the other side of town we have Zechs on a semi-leisurely stroll through Granz City with Duo. Meanwhile, Cereius and Glad meet up with Shanks back at the guild, when they get word of Kyver's disappearance. Upon exiting the guild, Shanks is fired upon and is almost pickpocketed by an invisible assailant. Fast forward to Zechs, Cereius, Galahad, and Arguile meeting up to find the bodies of the Tell-Tale Guild all slain and an effigy of Elrin. With the help of Zechs' beastial spirit “Wolfy” the crew follows the trail for Kyver to what they assess to be one of the machines that JM spoke of. They go inside and head upstairs running into Kyver who recounts what transpired and all the while they unknowingly travel from underneath the Cathedral of Granz City to a mountain overlooking Dragonborn Valley. At the guild, Shanks collects himself and makes the tough decision to cut his hair and alter it. Ace Marrero, a New Jersey born actor/producer, holds a BFA from Stephens College for Women (yes, you read that right). Recent credits include Action/Sci-Fi thriller, INTERPRETERS, HBO's reboot of PERRY MASON, a national Facebook commercial as well as RIDE ALONG 2, SLEEPY HOLLOW, SCORPION, CRIMINAL MINDS, THE LAST HEIST & ROADSIDE, to name a few. As a producer Ace has developed and sold films internationally through his company SWIM WITH THE FISH PRODUCTIONS. One of his most recent projects, SHAME OF THRONES: THE MUSICAL, an original stage show parodying the hit show GAME OF THRONES, had a multi-city run, including an extended viewing bat the Jerry Orbach Theatre, in NYC. Ace toured with the production and originated the the role of KHAL DROGO. Ace and his wife, Erin Stegeman, live in Los Angeles with their two children, Adolfo, Alma, and their dog, Wolfy.
