Darkness tries to keep us silent, hidden, and afraid… but Jesus calls us to be the light of the world. In this message, Pastor Jordan unpacks the Parable of the Lampstand (Matthew 5:14–16 & Mark 4:21–25) and reminds us why we can't hide our faith. Whether it's fear, shame, or doubt holding you back, God has given you His Spirit so that your light can shine brightly in a world that desperately needs hope.
May you have the courage to stand in your own knowing.May you find the grace to let go of striving for perfection, and instead embrace the sacredness of your imperfect, human journey.May luminous moments of optimism and possibility guide you, even as you move through gray times of despair and doubt.May you have the wisdom to choose differently, to prioritize what truly matters, creating a legacy that lingers. May you always find solace in the holy ground beneath your feet, the sacred presence that dwells within and all around you.Shine your light, dear one, your small, precious gifts are needed in this world.Happy Spring Equinox! I'm making a prediction in this episode - feel free to hold me to it. I think life's quieter truths are making a comeback. Its nothing new but when life gets easy, comfortable, we lose sight of the ideals and values and things that truly matter to us. We forget to defend it, speak up about it and prioritize it. And thank god that when we forget the important things in life, the universe nudges us and eventually smacks us in the face if we still don't listen. There is a heaviness in the world but I see the light at the end of the tunnel. Let me explain how and why. My hope is that this episode will alleviate some of the heaviness you might be carrying or feeling. Give it a listen! Let's unpack together! Sometimes all you need is a nudge and someone to ask the questions so you can find the answers for you. Send me a DM or check out my website: www.unpackingmyself.com

Send us a textI have a thing for Kickstarter. I find myself backing a lot of roleplaying games so it's not unusual for me to browsing the new Kickstarters looking for something that might spark my imagination. And that's when I saw it. Singularity.A brand-new massive adventure for Mongoose Traveller.Longtime listeners know our love of Traveller on this show and you might have even listened to our three part “Anatomy of a Campaign” series where we talked you through our Pirates of Drinax campaign. The idea of another massive campaign intrigued me and the more I read through the description the more I was hooked.I backed it.I then brought it to the podcast. Mike, Christina and I talked briefly about Singularity in S3E11 on You Heard it Here Last, but that didn't quite scratch the itch enough. So I reached out to Mongoose Publishing and spoke to Mathew Sprange the Managing Director who put me in touch with the author of Singularity Chris Griffen.Chris was nice enough to take the time to sit down and talk with me about this new campaign setting.
Matt Spiegel and Laurence Holmes listened and reacted to Bears offensive coordinator Declan Doyle's recent comments about the team's left tackle competition.

Embracing Your Season: Raising Littles and Understanding Teens with Paige Clingenpeel
Rise up, warrior—get up, wipe your tears, and go forth! Ready for powerful encouragement in your walk with Christ? Today, Paige Clingenpeel welcomes Myshel Wilkins—an American–Ghanaian worship leader, recording artist, speaker, and author of Arise, Shine, and Conquer: 40 Days of Courage for Women. In this powerful conversation, Myshel uncovers the lies women often believe about their worth, identity, and value—and points us back to the truth found only in God's Word. She speaks about standing firm when the enemy attacks, praising God both in valleys and on mountaintops, and the power of prayer, fasting, and sitting in His presence. With wisdom for parents on raising children in the fear of the Lord, Myshel urges us to anchor our families in Scripture so they can discern God's truth in a world of confusion. Be encouraged, be equipped, and be ready to fight the good fight of faith.Paige's TakeawaysOur identity is found in Christ alone. When what you feel doesn't match what God says, cling to His truth and reject the lies. Our “why” is because God created us.We are made in His image for His glory, which gives every moment of our lives eternal significance. The enemy will try to divert our identity. His goal is to distort God's truth, but we can rebuke his lies by standing on Scripture and speaking it out loud.Have conversations with your kids now—about their identity, who God says they are, and how to live out spiritual disciplines like prayer and fasting.Let God's Word be woven into everyday life so it becomes the anchor for their souls.Ask yourself and your kids—Are you trusting in yourself or trusting in the Lord?Invite them to see God's faithfulness in real-life situations so their trust in Him grows deep and personal.Arise, Shine, and Conquer by Myshel Wilkins: https://a.co/d/cf46aqp Myshel's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/myshelmusic/ Myshel's website: https://www.myshelwilkins.com/Paige Clingenpeel: PaigeClingenpeel.comQuestions About the Podcast? Tom and co-host Drew tackle some of the most pressing issues shaping our world right now—from trade deals and tech breakthroughs to the complexities of American politics and evolving cultural narratives. The conversation kicks off with reactions to a major US-EU trade agreement and what it means for America's place in the global economy. Tom and Drew dive into the ongoing gridlock in Congress, sparked by passionate remarks from Cory Booker, and discuss whether polarization is crippling the nation—or protecting it from “doing anything really crazy.” They draw surprising parallels between the American political landscape and other countries, especially China. Next, the team explores a viral ad campaign starring Sydney Sweeney, unpacking the culture war currently raging over beauty standards, identity, and the stories we tell ourselves as a society. Tom makes the case for the power of uplifting narratives—both for individuals and entire nations—while warning of the risks when those narratives turn toxic.
