Hang onto your seats as we sit down with one incredible woman who survived what most wouldn't. We are excited to bring you our in person interview with the legend herself, Kennedy Littledike Bingham. If you google search "Power Line Girl", a picture of her will pop up immediately.Back in 2021, Kennedy was involved in a horrific car accident that left her dangling 30 feet up in an active power line by her left leg. Thankfully after being stuck on the power line for over an hour, Kennedy ended up surviving and is now thriving in so many beautiful ways. The accident resulted in an above-knee amputation and a brachial plexus injury. I am personally honored to not just know Kennedy, but can call her a very close friend. The fight this girl has inside her is something fierce. I am forever grateful that she not only survived her accident, but also grateful to have her in my life. We hope you enjoy this episode as much as we did. Also a very special thank you to the Adaptive Training Foundation for letting us jump in their back office to record this special episode. It's Friday, July 18th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Nigerian Muslims slaughter Christian farmers Nigerian Muslims murder Christian farmers there on almost a daily basis, reports International Christian Concern. Back in November 2020, the Muslim terrorist group, Boko Haram, slit the throats of 43 Christian farmers who were farming rice. Some were fishermen. The government remains silent in the face of this genocide. The Christian farmers need our voices. International Christian Concern is raising money for an Emergency Relief Fund. You can make a contribution through a special link in our transcript today at www.TheWorldview.com. According to Open Doors, Nigeria is the seventh most dangerous country worldwide for Christians to live. Ukrainian parliament picks new Prime Minister The Ukrainian parliament voted on July 17 to confirm Yuliia Svyrydenko as the new prime minister in a major cabinet shake-up. Svyrydenko, a 39-year-old economist, was tapped by President Volodymyr Zelensky to replace Denys Shmyhal after his five years in office. The new prime minister was confirmed with the support of 262 votes, with 22 voting against her and 26 abstaining. The reshuffle takes place as Ukraine continues to resist Russia's full-scale invasion while seeking to navigate a transforming relationship with its key international supporter, the United States. Mike Pence: Trump should release all Epstein files On Wednesday, CBS' Major Garrett asked former Vice President Mike Pence about the controversy swirling around the alleged Epstein list, reports the Gateway Pundit. It allegedly reveals the names of wealthy men who participated in the sex trafficking of girls and young women through the late financier Jeffrey Epstein. Listen. GARRET: “President Trump said that the Jeffrey Epstein matter is a hoax. Last week, his justice department said there were more than 1,000 victims of Jeffrey Epstein. Last summer, Trump said he was open to declassifying all the relevant files and the Epstein client list and that his suicide looks suspicious. How can all those things be true and it be a hoax? I don't understand where things stand with all this.” PENCE: “I think the time has come for the administration to release all of the files regarding Jeffrey Epstein's investigation and prosecution. It's important that we protect the names of the victims. They should be excluded from any disclosure. “But whether or not the facts justify charges, I think that anyone who participated or was associated with this despicable man ought to be held up to public scrutiny.” Numbers 32:23 says, “Be sure: your sin will find you out.” Possible tropical depression off Gulf of America The weather system moving across the Florida Panhandle on Wednesday was showing a greater chance of becoming a tropical depression as it moves toward the northern Gulf Coast, according to the National Hurricane Center. The system has a 40 percent chance of becoming a tropical depression as it moves west over the Gulf of America toward southeastern Louisiana. The tropical weather will affect Alabama and Mississippi as well. New Orleans is bracing for 3 to 5 inches of rain through Saturday, but some areas could see as much as 10 inches. Camp Mystic counselor, who died in flood, worked with special needs kids 19-year-old Katherine Ferruzzo was devoted to caring for children, from the campers in her cabin at Camp Mystic in Hunt, Texas to the students with special needs who she helped as a teacher aide at Spring Branch elementary schools, reports the San Antonio Express-News. She planned to become a special education teacher after arriving at the University of Texas at Austin this fall to start her freshman year. Tragically, Ferruzzo died in the Fourth of July floods that swept through Camp Mystic, an all-girls Christian summer retreat along the Guadalupe River in western Kerr County. She had been the only counselor who remained unaccounted for, when her family members said in a statement that her remains had been found last Friday. Her family said they are establishing the Katherine Ferruzzo Legacy Foundation “to honor Katherine and her compassion for those with special needs and learning differences.” She recently graduated from Memorial High School, where she helped set up the school's debut Unity Game, a mini-football game in which students with special needs could play football, cheerlead, or play in the band. She was one of at least 28 Camp Mystic counselors and campers along with owner Richard Eastland who died in the July 4th flood. Father in flood used final moments to call his children And finally, Jeff Ramsey, a Texas father used his final moments before he was swept away by the furious flood waters of the Guadalupe River to call his son and daughter, reports Fox 4 in Dallas. Jake Ramsey, 24 years old, and his sister Rachel, age 23, never could have imagined the tragic turn a fourth of July getaway would take for their dad and his wife, Tonya. RAMSEY: “They were definitely in the camper when it was swept away. Twenty-six feet and 45 minutes, that's it's just truly one of the most horrific disasters you can imagine.” Once Jeff Ramsey realized it was too late for him and Tonya, he called his son and then his daughter to say goodbye. RAMSEY: “He left us both voicemails, just saying, ‘Hey buddy, I love you so much. I think this is it for us. Tell Rachel I love her.' “I went to listen to that message, and it broke me. Hers came after mine, and it was when they were already heading downstream. You could hear the panic, and it was just heartbreaking. We'll never listen to those messages again.” Jeff Ramsey made another call to Tonya's brother who was also camping along the Guadalupe River. RAMSEY: “Thank the Lord he called he called Tanya's brother because otherwise they would have probably slept in and been swept away in the flood as well.” Jeff found the frame of the camper. RAMSEY: “The frame's bent and just obliterated.” So far, only Tonya's body has been recovered. RAMSEY: “My dad always said, ‘God has great plans for you.' That was his one liner. And God calls us to trust Him no matter how terrible things may get.” Jeff was vice president of benefits with the Miller group. He also did a lot of volunteer work with the Adaptive Training Foundation, a gem for amputees. Tonya's cancer battle connected her with wigs.com where she was the client care manager. Jake offered a word of wisdom. RAMSEY: “Treat every day like it's your last. And you know, that's something that he did, and so I'm so grateful that he had such a great heart.” Psalm 90:12 says, “So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Friday, July 18th, in the year of our Lord 2025. (3:25) • I can't just go and have a normal job. I need the biggest challenge in order to be fulfilled. What's the hardest thing I could do? And I became obsessed with hell week. I almost wanted to do hell week more than be a SEAL (16:55) • I told everyone I wanted to be a SEAL, and then, a year and a half later, 9-11 happened and it just reaffirmed it 100-fold. I don't want to go be a Navy SEAL to do hell week, and learn how to skydive and scuba dive, and blow stuff up and shoot guns, all these really bad-ass things. I wanted to do it to hunt the most evil people in the word, and make sure 9-11 never happens again. (17:33) • I will never, ever quit. (34:43) • [Kyle Maynard –has no arms or legs - and I] start talking. We become friends. We start hanging out a lot. I start bringing him in to speak to my students and motivate them. We traveled around the world together. I took him diving at the Great Barrier Reef, climbed the highest mountain in Australia and went to 20-plus countries with him. (70:07) • I was having major [back] issues. Even trying to do basic workouts it would pop and go out on me. I went to Columbia to the bio accelerator, and they did stem cells in my spine. I'm like a new person after that. (74:40) • I swam Alcatraz, and swam it in one of my Sungas. That was the coldest swim I've done. (94:55) • I'm a board member for the Adaptive Training Foundation in Dallas, helping with athletes. After 9 weeks of training - spiritual, mental, physical. Literally, they perform miracles there. They've been 20-30 years and haven't walked, and at the end of 9 weeks they're walking. (97:06) • I never felt so much love and gratitude for everyone who's been in my life. Of all the people I could've been born to and I was born to my mom. All the siblings I could've had, and I had my sister and my brother. It was hard to think of my dad and brother without being sad because I miss them so much, but it made be so unbelievably grateful for the time I had with them. (102:10)
David Vobora - A Remarkable Journey of Resilience and Service Meet David Vobora, a true embodiment of resilience and unwavering commitment to service. You may know him as the final pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, affectionately celebrated as 'Mr. Irrelevant' in the sun-kissed shores of Newport Beach that memorable summer. David's journey in the NFL was nothing short of remarkable. Despite the odds stacked against him, he donned the jerseys of the Rams for three seasons and the Seahawks for one, leaving an indelible mark on the field until injuries curtailed his playing career. But for David, the end of his NFL career was merely the beginning of his true calling. David had a vision that transcended the boundaries of sports and military service. "Vets and transitioning athletes helping each other under one roof," he envisioned. In this life phase, athletes and veterans grapple with similar challenges. Athletes accustomed to performing in front of thousands suddenly found themselves 'discharged,' struggling to find a job. At the same time, veterans, used to running into battle, faced the daunting prospect of civilian life. David knew it wasn't easy, but he was determined to make a difference. His commitment to service didn't stop there. David Vobora founded the Adaptive Training Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides free personal training to individuals recovering from traumatic injuries, whether in the military or civilian life. This initiative is not just about physical rehabilitation; it's about instilling hope and resilience in those facing life-altering challenges. https://www.adaptivetrainingfoundation.org/ We sincerely thank our sponsors for their unwavering support of the VinnyRoc Podcast. David Vobora is the Founder of Adaptive Training Foundation, he is a Retired NFL linebacker, and a Keynote Speaker. In January of 2014, David Vobora, a 5-year veteran of the NFL, met US Army Staff Sergeant Travis Mills, a quadruple amputee. David opened up his personal gym to Travis, offering his training expertise. The pair started working out together, customizing and adapting to the unique challenges posed by Travis' injuries. Through working with Travis and engaging the veteran community, David developed a passion for helping those with life-altering injuries find life-fulfilling adaptive performance training. David realized that, while there are many excellent rehabilitation programs as well as adaptive/Paralympic sports organizations, none existed to bridge the gap from basic functional rehabilitation to adapted sport. Adaptive Training Foundation (ATF) was conceived to fill this void. He continued helping adaptive athletes create sustainable lifestyle changes over the next six months, and by September of 2014, Adaptive Training Foundation had received its 501(c)3 status to allow outside support for these ambitious athletes. To this day, ATF is committed to keeping its services to adaptive athletes 100% free of charge, and relies on the generosity of people like yourself to not only restore lives, but empower them through movement. On this weeks episode I sit down with the owners of Breathe Meditation and Wellness. Breathe was created to help ease the stresses of modern life and offer a place for healing and true transformation. We believe everyone deserves a happy and healthy life and we are dedicated to helping make this happen one life at a time.Breathe co-founder, Chelsey Charbeneau discovered her life purpose—helping people become happier and healthier—through her own wellness journey which began over 15 years ago in Los Angeles. She was your typical type "A" type personality climbing the corporate ladder while working for an investment firm. As time went on, the effects of stress and neglect left her with a laundry list of diseases and ailments until she began to practice meditation and yoga which opened her eyes to the extensive therapeutic benefits of these ancient practices.Chelsey is a meditation teacher, certified yoga therapist with The International Association of Yoga Therapists as well as an experienced registered yoga teacher and continuing education provider with the national Yoga Alliance. She is also certified in Thai yoga massage therapy, Mindful Self-Compassion and is trained in prenatal yoga. Chelsey has offered her healing services at a physical rehabilitation center in Beverly Hills, with doctors at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Methodist Hospital, Medical City, and The Brain Performance Institute. In 2014 she opened Just B, a meditation studio in Santa Monica, California and then relocated to Dallas in 2016, where she opened a mindfulness meditation studio serving as their Chief Mindfulness Officer. Upon her return Chelsey has created and implemented meditation curriculum for Dallas Independent School District, Adaptive Training Foundation, Unique Footprints and others. She has also launched the first 200-hour meditation teacher training in this region and continues her meditation studies with renowned experts such as Pema Chodron and Dr. Kristin Neff. Her work has been circulated globally and she continues to lead teacher trainings, retreats, workshops, and seminars nationwide. Chelsey's teachings have impacted lives from children to seniors, homeless to celebrities, trauma victims to veterans. With a deep commitment to science-driven health, her goal is always to provide an experience that is nurturing, personal, and safe.Born and raised in New York, Breathe co-founder Jenn Moulaison spent more than two decades in the luxury fashion industry, managing finance and operations for Chanel, Inc. and, most recently, Dallas-based retailer Forty Five Ten. Her dedicated fitness routine brought some measure of balance to the industry's high stress level and unrelenting pace, but ultimately only upped the pressure to perform and did little to nurture inner calm. Like many of us, Jenn had heard about the benefits of meditation and wondered if it might work for her. But, like many of us, she was always “too busy” to give the practice a consistent chance. That changed in 2016, when a friend persuaded her to attend her first formal mindfulness class. The instructor—Chelsey Charbeneau—was knowledgeable, approachable and helpful. Something clicked. Jenn went back the next day, and the one after that. Within a few months, she was meditating daily and enrolling in workshops and training sessions. Within a year, she'd left the fashion industry behind and partnered with Chelsey to begin to realize the dream of Breathe. Jenn completed her 300-hour meditation teacher training in spring 2018.https://breathemeditationandwellness.comhttps://www.instagram.com/breathemeditationandwellness/

How many of you think our world needs more gutsy, bold, disruptive leaders? Our next speaker believes we do and is here to show us how we can embody this type of leadership. David Vobora grew up with a football in his hands and the NFL in his dreams. His path to the NFL, however, was anything but simple. After playing football at the University of Idaho, he was the last pick in the 2008 draft earning him the not-so- coveted title of Mr. Irrelevant. David used this underestimation of his skills and abilities to his advantage during his 4-year career with the St. Louis Rams and the Seattle Seahawks. David's career wasn't over after he hung up his jersey in 2012. On the contrary, it was just beginning. Upon retiring from the NFL, he opened Performance Vault — a sports performance training center aimed at helping rebuild wounded warriors whose potential was grossly unrecognized by society. At Performance Vault, he emphasized strength training, a tribal mindset, and the ability to use one's underdog status to their advantage. Soon after, David met quadruple amputee and military veteran, Travis Mills. This chance encounter led to an explosion of growth at Performance Vault and the launch of a non-profit organization called Adaptive Training Foundation. The growth trajectory at ATF has been astounding. They've built a world class team and they now operate out of an 18,000 square foot facility in Dallas, Texas. David's desire to pour his heart, mind, and soul into everything he does has resulted in a new industry standard for training those with physical disabilities. ATF's first-of- its-kind Train the Trainer program provides physically disabled people access to equal means of physical fitness. David has an unmatched ability to connect with people. He genuinely believes in others until they believe in themselves. He has the gift of making people feel loved for who they are and not for what they do or what they can provide. David is a hope dealer, an alchemist of human development, and a sweat psychologist. He always has one eye on personal and foundational growth, the other eye ensuring no one is left behind in the process, and both feet firmly planted in the present. And we're grateful he is here with us today. Please join me in welcoming David Vobora.

The Total Tutor and Caregiver Dave will interview David Vobora, Former LA Ram and Founder of Adaptive Training Foundation.

Why do you think you can't do something? Is it because you really can't do it? Because someone said you couldn't? Or is it because you're afraid of failure, so you just haven't tried to do it? Hunter Clark is the director of operations and programs for the Adaptive Training Foundation, a non-profit that provides training to people with physical disabilities to transform their lives. This week, he shares tips about conquering the fear of failure through sharing stories of the military vets he's worked with who overcome great obstacles on a daily basis.
