Well, there's still interest in James Bond movies despite little progress in a new one actually being made.

There's a natural tendency to use release years only in calculating the time between James Bond films. But when you take into account month and year, things may appear a bit different.

Alec Mills, a veteran James Bond crew member, has died at 91. Mills was an example of how Bond films used to work, with crew members getting promoted from within.

In dieser Folge von Dirty Minutes Left sprechen wir über verschiedene Themen. Zunächst besprechen wir das Spiel Romeo and Julie Cat, das Teil der Mega Cat Collection 2 ist. Es handelt sich um ein süchtig machendes Legespiel, bei dem Blöcke gesetzt werden müssen, um Reihen oder Spalten zu füllen. Wir sind sehr begeistert von diesem Spiel und empfehlen es weiter. Danach gehen wir auf die Namco Museum Collection ein und erklären, warum die Spiele nicht auf dem Evercade Versus laufen. Allerdings ist es möglich, sie auf dem Evercade EXP zu spielen, wenn man es per HDMI-Kabel an den Fernseher anschließt. Anschließend diskutieren wir den dritten Bond-Film, der für uns wie ein richtiger Bond-Film wirkt. Es werden verschiedene Elemente aus späteren Filmen angesprochen, wie ikonische Locations, Gadgets von Q und der Schlagabtausch mit M. Wir finden es interessant, dass Bond am Anfang des Films noch nicht viel über die Gold-Thematik wusste und sich von einem Experten erklären lassen musste. Ein Ausschnitt aus dem Podcast behandelt das Thema Goldfinger und den Plan des Bösewichts, Fort Knox zu zerstören. Arne erwähnt, dass ein Pfund Gold in der Vergangenheit etwa 6 Pfund wert war und dass eine bestimmte Menge Gold heute etwa 720.000 Pfund wert wäre. Es wird festgestellt, dass der Plan des Bösewichts in dem Film letztendlich nicht erfolgreich war. Des Weiteren diskutieren wir die Darstellung von Frauen in den Bond-Filmen und die problematische Szene, in der Pussy Galore vergewaltigt wird. Wir sind überrascht, dass Sean Connery als James Bond zu sehen ist und finden, dass er in diesem Film älter aussieht als er tatsächlich war. Außerdem stellen wir fest, dass der Film auf Deutsch nachsynchronisiert wurde. Trotzdem handelt es sich um einen empfehlenswerten Bond-Film mit Witz, guter Musik und dem typischen Bond-Schema. Wir sprechen auch über die Serie "Silo" auf Apple TV Plus, die uns sehr spannend erscheint. Es geht um eine Gesellschaft, die in einem unterirdischen Silo lebt und alles, was sie brauchen, dort haben. In der ersten Folge wird deutlich, dass Verlassen des Silos tödlich ist, und wir sind gespannt darauf, warum das so ist. Zum Abschluss kündigen wir an, dass wir im nächsten Podcast den vierten James-Bond-Film "Thunderball" anschauen werden. Wir erinnern uns daran, dass der unsichtbare aus dem vorherigen Film wieder auftaucht und freuen uns darauf, diesen Film zu besprechen. Außerdem erwähnen wir unsere gescheiterten Versuche, James-Bond-Gadgets nachzubauen. Das war es für diese Woche. Holger wird sich jetzt ausruhen, da er etwas heiser klingt. Special Guest: Dr. Thomas Kinne ("Gefragt - Gejagt") In der 150. Folge präsentieren wir zum zweiten Mal als Gast den "Quizdoktor" aus "Gefragt - Gejagt", Dr. Thomas Kinne. Mit ihm klären wir die noch offen gebliebenen Fragen aus Folge 75, unter Anderem wie er denn nun das Ende des letzten Bond-Films fand. Er verrät uns außerdem, wie es seiner Meinung nach mit 007 weitergehen müsste. Natürlich sprechen wir auch über "Gefragt - Gejagt" und den erfolgreichen Ableger "Allein gegen alle". Thomas verrät uns, wann wieder gedreht wird und er erzählt, wie das Verhältnis zu seinen Jäger-Kollegen abseits der Kamera ist. Außerdem spricht er über die "Klassenfahrt" des kompletten Jäger-Teams zur Kai Pflaume-Show "Klein gegen Groß". Thomas erzählt von seiner Leidenschaft für American Football und seiner Teilnahme an den Frankfurt Games. Wir reden aber mit ihm auch darüber, dass es eigentlich völliger Humbug ist, dass Begriffe wie "Indianer" oder "Eskimo" nicht mehr benutzt werden sollen und warum er hofft, dass Bully bei "Das Kanu des Manitu" genau solche Dinge auf die Schippe nimmt. Im Filmbingo lauscht uns Thomas, wie wir "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia" und "Asterix im Land der Götter" bewerten, ehe er uns dann eigene Aufgaben stellt. Every Sunday, Alex will be doing a new companion podcast (on this same stream) called The Sunday Countdown. Alex and Jim discuss George Clooney and Brad Pitt (and their production companies) joining a Jon Watts-directed thriller as well as the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees authorizing a vote to strike which would have huge ramifications on film productions across the country. Also, the Broccoli family that produces the Bond films stated that Amazon plans to continue releasing Bond films theatrically. Disney continues to rake in the big bucks as Free Guy crosses $300 million and Shang-Chi overtakes Black Widow.
