Shoutout to Atlanta's own Metro Marrs for coming on my show for an interview! Metro Marrs talked about the meaning behind his new project title Last Train 2 Marrs, the meaning behind the lyrics "I can't stay, gotta relocate" on his song Vain, and his song Violence featuring Duke Deuce. He got into why Quality Control was the perfect fit for him to sign a major record deal, his father being signed to Red Stone Studios, and being popular at school, while also keeping to himself. He discussed the name Popular Loner preparing him for the music industry, a feature with Migos on the way, and the importance of giving back through his Loners Foundation with the Rodney Dave Fund Scholarship. Metro announced that he will be dropping a deluxe to Last Train 2 Marrs this September. Stay tuned! ISAIAH RASHAD OFFICIALLY MAKES HIS RETURN WITH ‘THE HOUSE IS BURNING' ALBUM It has been a long time coming but Isaiah Rashad has officially returned with his new album The House is Burning. The new album merges intense and emotional raps with elite production and Isaiah Rashad is assisted by Lil Uzi Vert, SZA, Duke Deuce, 6LACK, Smino, and more. isaiah Rashad's The House is Burning is the first formal release from the rapper since The Sun's Tirade was released nearly five years ago. The album is scored by Kal Banx, Hollywood Cole, Benny Beats, and more. Prior to the release, fans were able to get a taste of the album through the singles “Headshots (4r Da Locals) and the most recently released “Wat U Sed." “This album was difficult,” Rashad says. “Music is where I go to express myself. It's what I do to close a chapter. You know what's crazy? I'm not even ashamed to say it, I really think my albums aren't different from each other. It's just me every time and eventually, one of my albums will become a classic.” On Twitter, Rashad wrote a message directly to fans about the release “IDK WHAT TO SAY, BUT I LOVE YALL BE SAFE. ANUDDA SOUNDTRACK 4R DA SQUAD !!!!” After Isaiah Rashad lets fans have time to digest the effort, they can catch him on tour. Rashad has planned Lil' Sunny's Awesome Vacation, a tour that is stated to have special guests and will cover Boston, Chicago, Seattle, Los Angeles, Houston, Charlotte, and more on a run from September 8 to November 9.
