Aymen's first experience of Australia was arriving at Sydney Airport with no English or knowledge of his new country and getting very lost and missing his connecting flight. His lack of English was a problem at first, but his soccer skills helped him get involved with the local soccer community and this opened up social networks and job opportunities that Aymen took advantage of. Aymen grew up in Khartoum, but at around the age of 18, the threat of enforced military service became very real and he decided to escape to Egypt, and after two years, he was able to join his brother in Tasmania.
Aymen Majeed has just written a book "RP and Me" recounting diagnosis; education; bullying; and now with a family. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Aymen Ismail is the Head of Customer Engagement Solutions at smart Europe GmbH. He is based in Stuttgart, Germany. The smart auto company was founded in Germany in 1994. The brand was originally famous for quirky small cars, such as the ForTwo. Now, the company is focused on EV production and battery technology. The auto industry is surfing an extreme wave of change at present. Electric vehicles, autnomous vehicles, retail purchasing, leasing... change in the traditional dealer-focused business model is all around. This also changes how customers build a relationship with auto brands. In this conversation, Peter Ryan talks to Aymen about the modern auto business and how to serve the day-to-day needs of customers alongside building long-term relationships. https://www.linkedin.com/in/aymenismail/ https://media.smart.com/eu

In this episode, Wajeeh finally gets Aymen to join us and share her experiences as a Brown Girl living in their household!

Jake is a fellow Central Michigan University graduate and currently works as a Wealth Management Client Associate at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Ever since I first met Jake, I could tell that he had a massive passion for investing, so it only seems natural that he has pursued a professional career that involves investing, investment banking, and assisting with personal financial assets. Jake is one of the most professional, kind, and well-rounded individuals that I have met. I've always respected and admired the way that Jake conducts himself and how ambitious he is. In addition to his professional passions, Jake has many other personal passions as well. Jake is an avid runner and recently completed his first marathon in Chicago. One of Jake's life goals is to accomplish the Abbott World Marathon Majors. To accomplish this feat, a runner has to complete a marathon in Tokyo, Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago, and New York. As of right now, Jake just has Chicago under his belt, but I know that he has what it takes to complete the remaining five. Additionally, Jake is a foodie and enjoys wine. Jake has went as far to get his Level One Wine Certification as well. Jake has accomplished a lot of great things and I know that this is just the start for him. It's an honor to know someone like him and to be able to watch his continue to pursue his passions. To close off our first season of Shades of Black, we sat down with two youth creative innovators, Aymen and Drayton from 20Today20Tomorrow, to address men's mental health and the pressure Black men often face to "have it all together". Seeing that November was Men's Health Awareness Month, we believed it to be a great opportunity to address the stigma's that come with Black men and their mental health, as well as the ways in which structures can be better implemented to support them. A big thank you to Drayton and Aymen for providing such good insights, and for helping us understand that the pressure our men face are often tied to their efforts going unnoticed - especially in a society that profits on individual burnout and lack of recognition. - We thank you for supporting us throughout this season! We've learned a lot along the way, and we hope this platform has provided you with some tools for your own knowledge and wellbeing. - About us: Nérolane is the founder of Consciously Black, a community platform where she gathers Black individuals across Canada to discuss their Black experience, and to address the difficult conversations that affecting our communities...especially the ones far too often avoided. With the assassination of Al Qaeda leader Aymen al-Zawahiri ringing in their ears, Aimen & Thomas turn their attention once again to Afghanistan, focusing this time on the Soviet invasion in 1979 and the rise of global jihadism that followed. What led the Soviets to invade? What was Kabul's Cold War relationship with Moscow like in the run-up to the invasion? What was the U.S.'s true role in the anti-Soviet jihad? And most importantly: why did thousands of young men from the Arab role sign up to fight? Through an in-depth look at the life of the most celebrated ideologue of modern jihadism, Abdullah Azzam, we'll answer those questions and more, as we continue to assemble the geopolitical puzzle of the modern Middle East. This week's guest is Aymen Saleh. The Milwaukee singer, songwriter and producer — who releases music under the Holy Pinto moniker — has kept busy of late with a steady run of local performances, semi-frequent tours and collaborations with artists from all ends of the musical spectrum. Long before he became an unlikely ambassador for the Milwaukee music scene, Saleh was growing up in Canterbury, England, and devoting his time to learning the drums and guitar. Recently, Saleh joined My First Band host Tyler Maas at Milwaukee Record headquarters to talk about modern musical happenings, upcoming work (including an upcoming song with Bartees Strange) and how music transported him across an ocean and squarely into the unknown. Over the course of the conversation, Saleh talked about playing some of his first concerts in Canterbury, moving to London to study music, starting a band with a longtime friend, some important advice he got from The Front Bottoms and how a random set of circumstances and the kindness of strangers found the kid from England eventually calling Milwaukee, Wisconsin, his home. My First Band is sponsored by Mystery Room Mastering and Lakefront Brewery. The show is edited by Jared Blohm. You can listen to My First Band on iTunes, Stitcher, Spotify and wherever else you get podcasts. You can also listen to rebroadcasts of previous My First Band episodes on WMSE every Wednesday from noon to 12:30 p.m. CST. Music used in this episode comes courtesy of Devils Teeth ("The Junction Street Eight Tigers") and Holy Pinto ("Milwaukee").

All good things must come to an end!Like Kevin and Sean said on the previous anime podcast they will be discontinuing the Hip Hop portion of the podcast. In episode 19, Shannon takes a look into how the music industry in China is having to readjust and pivot post Covid. She also explores the safety precautions clubs are taking now that dance floors are open for partying. With Chengdu rising out of lockdown, owners Choo and Big Loco from Axis Club and Aymen who organizes the International bookings at the legendary .TAG, chat with Shannon about what the new normal looks for them in nightlife and what the future has in store for them post COVID-19. With mass travel ban restrictions in place for countries around the world, musicians, DJ’s and artists have lost their ability to tour internationally, which is a vital revenue stream for both clubs and talent. Luckily, livestreaming has become a great solution for everyone. Now, talent can be broadcasted from their bedroom or even from inside an empty club for fans to stay connected and party. It’s also been a lucrative way for DJ’s and musicians to receive income as fans can donate money to talent during the event. What else can be done with livestreaming technology to create a fun and interactive club experience for folks in lockdown until we can return to the dance floor here in America? Travis Scott’s recent VR tour with gaming platform Fornite was literally “astronomical” as fans could listen to the rapper perform songs in real time while they danced and interacted with other players. Could partying in augmented realities be the near future for dance floors globally? Patrick McGowan who owns TechSound, a sound engineering and live event coordination company in Shanghai, chimes in on what he’s been doing with his team in bringing innovation and technology to nightlife clubs. As the world deals with Coronavirus quarantine, event cancelations and school closings, it's important to keep kids' lives as normal as possible. That's why I share a story about my nephew Aymen who asked to visit the local sneaker shop to look at the Kanye West Adidas. I agreed to drive him there after picking him up from school, only to find the sticker shock of Yeezys. The YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 "BRED" black model retailed for $1,100! Needless to say, his parents did not let him get the sneaker. I also share emails from businesses who are concerned for their customers due to the spread of the virus. In this episode, we are a smaller group because we split up into other group based on the belief system each person chose to talk about; everyone has to have a different one to talk about comparisons. Today, we are comparing and contrasting the belief systems Atheism, Christianity and Islam with Aymen, Sonja, and Stesha. I hope you enjoy!
In this podcast episode Sanne, Aymen, Sonja, Stesha, and Nehir are continuing to talk about Buddhism, but instead focusing on how it is different compared to other religions. Some other things we talked about were similar to last time and others not similar. I hope you enjoy! Make sure to watch the other episode about Buddhism!
The question we are investigating and talking about in this podcast is - is it ok to not follow the rules of a religion, even if you're part of it? Members of the podcast: Aymen, Sanne, Nehir, Stesha, and Sonja. Hope you enjoy!

En trogen Milanista, som han själv säger ”black on the outside, red on the inside”.
