If we needed any more evidence that the internet was a mistake, this week provided it. We kick things off with a discussion of the Canvas breach that has affected thousands of schools worldwide, then we dig into the disclosure of two new vulnerabilities in Ivanti and Palo Alto Networks products that are actively exploited, and then we talk about a new branded Linux bug called Dirty Frag. Finally, we wrap up with some comic relief from the Everything App.LinksIvanti bug: https://decipher.sc/2026/05/07/ivanti-warns-of-exploited-epmm-flaw-cve-2026-6973/Palo Alto bug: https://decipher.sc/2026/05/06/845/Dirty Frag: https://decipher.sc/2026/05/07/new-dirty-frag-linux-bug-emerges/The viral tweet: https://x.com/DennisF/status/2050682024587845690

Uber has been in the middle of the autonomy debate and recently added hotels to the mix, so we're wondering if they can be the “everything” app built around transportation? First quarter results indicated they have the momentum to do it. We also get to results from Disney and Novo Nordisk, which had investors cheering today. Travis Hoium, Lou Whiteman, and Rachel Warren discuss: - Uber's Q1 2026 results - Can Uber make an “everything” app? - Disney's momentum and challenges - Novo Nordisk's GLP-1 conundrum Companies discussed: Uber (UBER), Expedia (EXPE), Disney (DIS), Novo Nordisk (NOVO). Brendan! is back stateside and returns just in time for the seventh annual Zurich Classic Walk Up Music Quiz! Before we get to that, Andy is eager to discuss a bit of their trip to Scotland as part of the first-ever segment of "Pillow Talk." Brendan shares some shopping woes when trying to get gifts for his family and Andy is still reeling from his 24-hour travel day earlier this week. Brendan then calls Andy out for his new TaylorMade Spider putter, supplied to him by Big Equipment after he called for them to be banned on Tour earlier this year. After missing out on Wednesday's discussion about the "Pool Seen 'Round the World," Brendan gets some takes off about the Chevron's new "water installation" and Andy wonders how the LPGA can allow this to be the main storyline of the one major championship they own. He also takes some (deserved?) shots at the city of Houston, as well! Ian Poulter did NOT miss Wednesday's episode and decided to take to X, the Everything App, to cement his status as an impending PROBLEM on the Champions Tour. The Boys are praying that he will be their next guest for Lunch to break down his big debut at the US Senior Open in July. Andy and Brendan also discuss the ongoing LIV funding saga and doubt if anyone can even come close to replicating the purses that the PIF has funded in the last five years. Lastly before this episode's main event, PGA Tour is out of Hawaii and announced dozens of layoffs on Thursday as a cost-saving measure as the for-profit business moves forward. Andy and PJ went to town on the 2026 Zurich Classic Walk Up Music Quiz, peppering Brendan with songs for perhaps the worst field in PGA Tour history. How do Shawn Mendes, the Eagles, Gordon Lightfoot, and Nelly all fit into this week in New Orleans? You'll have to listen to one of our favorite annual segments to find out. This week on Autonomy Markets, Grayson Brulte and Walter Piecyk discuss how the momentum has shifted in the autonomous vehicle and truck industries after NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang declared it will become the first multi-trillion dollar robotics industry at CES 2025. While the momentum shift has been significant, legacy OEMs are facing headwinds and long-term challenges as Ford shutdown Argo AI, GM shutdown Cruise and VW continues to struggle with software. Then there is Uber and their robotaxi headwinds. Does Uber have to become the “everything app” to survive? There are a lot of questions to be answered as the autonomy markets enter 2025 including business models, regulation, and public acceptance.Episode Chapters0:00 CES 20254:39 Autonomous Trucking Policy7:21 Waymo Zeekr Robotaxi 11:50 What is the Meaning of Launching in a Market?13:28 Autonomous Vehicle Components 18:12 Legacy OEMs and Ubers Role in Autonomy26:32 Aurora's Warning Triangle Petition 29:02 Viewer Question: Who Buys Uber and Lyft?33:04 Uber, the Everything App?34:49 CES 2025 Key Takeaways 37:50 CES 202640:07 Waymo as a Getaway Car42:03 Next WeekRecorded on Friday, January 10, 2025--------About The Road to AutonomyThe Road to Autonomy® is a leading source of data, insight and commentary on autonomous vehicles/trucks and the emerging autonomy economy™.Sign up for This Week in The Autonomy Economy newsletter: https://www.roadtoautonomy.com/autonomy-economy/See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Curvance is a modular liquidity management protocol designed to optimize the use of yield-bearing assets and ERC-20 tokens. Curvance DeFi aims to be the “everything app” for lending and borrowing, designed to help address fragmentation across chains and protocols. Why you should listen Curvance is a chain-agnostic reward and utility layer for yield-bearing assets and other ERC-20 tokens. Initially to be launched on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Blast, Base, Optimism, and Polygon zkEVM, it aspires to establish itself as the de-facto reward and utility layer for any ERC-20 token. Curvance as a protocol allows users to unlock further capital efficiency on yield-bearing assets. The vault technology's modular approach allows the support of nearly any ERC-20 token. The goal of Curvance is to become DeFi's end-game and the de-facto "everything app" to facilitate user access to lending and yield generating protocols. As DeFi continues its growth trajectory and more sophisticated yield-generating products are built upon existing DeFi infrastructure, the market size and prevalence of yield-bearing assets are expected to expand significantly. In this evolving landscape, Curvance assumes a pivotal role, facilitating the continued growth of DeFi by empowering users to leverage their assets through borrowing, lending and staking protocols, thus amplifying their capital efficiency and opening doors to new opportunities. A key component of this vision is Curvance's multichain strategy that enables Curvance to tap into different flywheels quickly. This removes one more step in the users journey, further simplifying the DeFi experience. As a result, Curvance can provide services to a broader range of users and leverage the strengths of different yield-bearing asset protocols and markets, maximizing its revenue potential. The goal is to become the top liquidity management layer for new crypto users and experienced DeFi veterans. This mission starts with supporting and integrating the biggest revenue generating protocols in DeFi, abstracting the complexity required to access these opportunities away from the user. Additionally, the multichain strategy enables Curvance to expand to emerging chains and protocol flywheels that are in demand easily. The Curvance protocol capitalizes on the extensive composability of yield-bearing assets and ERC-20 tokens, allowing tokenized treasuries, tokenized NFT markets, and other primitives to be borrowed against in a decentralized peer-to-peer fashion. It will open a whole new world of capital efficiency and optimized yield. On Curvance, users can access third-party protocols that facilitate earning a competitive Annual Percentage Rate (APR) on assets. Curvance unlocks additional utility and reward layers that can unlock liquidity by securing loans against user assets and in some cases earn CVE tokens via the Gauge System. Hence, Curvance can be regarded as the final top layer for DeFi yield. Upon beta, Curvance will be live on at least Ethereum, Arbitrum, Blast, Base, Optimism, and Polygon zkEVM. By being multichain from the start, Curvance places itself at the center of the multichain DeFi landscape and aligns itself with similar protocols.
