It's part 2 with Comedian, actress, and Netflix star, Fortune Feimster and she's back overflowing with wild stories, deep moments, and Hollywood surprises. She kicks off with a musical confession that she once performed Goodbye Earl live with The Chicks and raves about vocal queens like Kelly Clarkson (the slimmed-down version) and Alanis Morissette, earning massive diva points. We had no idea Fortune could sing until she shocked everyone at Chumpaoke. But, she swears she's not releasing an album, but now we know there's a voice under that comedy crown. From coast to coast, Fortune has done over 200 cities and 150 shows annually. She opens up about the grind of tour life and how acting—like filming Netflix's FUBAR with Arnold Schwarzenegger—gives her room to breathe. Season 2 is wrapped and packed with more action (and more Fortune!). But what happens when Fortune invites reality design king Jeff Lewis into her home? CHAOS. What began as a quick two-week makeover turned into four months of filming Hollywood Houselift and poor Jax (Fortune's soon to be ex-wife) was not thrilled. "Jeff pokes the bear." Fortune laughs, revealing the duo's dynamic clash—funny, never nasty. And yes, Jeff once called Pol' “the worst f***ing client imaginable. Badge of honor? Then boom—Madonna. Jax, a die-hard fan and fellow Michigan native, finally got to meet her idol at a private, no-phones-allowed event. And get this: Madonna knew who Fortune was and had seen her comedy. “She was kind, gracious… everything,” Fortune says, holding back tears. Jax got to thank Madonna personally for her lifelong LGBTQ+ advocacy. Total bucket-list magic. It's not all emotion—there's fashion shade ahead in “Runway Rundown.” Fortune reacts to Harvey Guillén's ruffled Critics Choice look (also worn by Chris Perfetti) and Hannah Einbinder's vintage couture moment from Hacks, drawing comparisons to Lucille Ball meets Paris runway. “It's exaggerated, it's bold, and she's serving,” Fortune says. Then: trivia chaos. Fortune plays “It's a Fortune After All” and tries to guess: - Who bought a banana for $6.2 million? (New York) - Who made $100M for one movie? - Who owns the most expensive yacht? (It's not Trump) She aces it. Then we dish on viral hecklers like Natalie Cuomo, Fortune's own nightmare heckler during her Sweet & Salty Netflix taping, and the absurdity of Mandy Moore dragging Amazon for delivering to her burned-down house. Then things turn emotional. Pol' gives Fortune a powerful coffee reading, guiding her through something long buried—a personal hurt she's carried silently. He encourages her to release it and reclaim her full self. Put the chandelier back up, he tells her, metaphorically and literally. It's a deeply moving, soul-illuminating moment. In the final moments, Pol' offers a stunning insight: Fortune may be holding onto something from her past—a moment she stayed silent, something she needs to release to truly level up in her life and career. “It's about coming home to yourself,” he says, bringing the conversation full circle.

Welcome back to Lez Hang Out, the podcast that is having a resurgence of The Chicks in our lives. This week, Leigh (@lshfoster) and Ellie (@elliebrigida) hang out to talk about why the music of The Chicks, formerly known as the Dixie Chicks, should've been gay. For this episode, we will not be speculating about the sexuality of The Chicks themselves as human beings, but rather talking about why their songs give such a queer energy. The Chicks write music from a political activist lens that is so incredibly different from the typical country music lens. To say their music resonates with queer people is a massive understatement. There are so many of their songs that were literally the gay music of the time. We didn't have Chappell Roan or Hayley Kiyoko or those types of openly queer artists. So for us and other gays of a certain age (ie. over 35), Goodbye Earl is as gay as it gets. These ahead of their time icons write songs that feel inclusive, anti-patriarchal, and that have lyrics that sound gay af when we sing along. We talk about the gay specifics of songs like Goodbye Earl, a song that Ellie's extremely queer band The Femmes performs all the time. This song honestly should be a whole musical by now. The music video for it is so gay and so good and if you haven't seen it, do yourself a favor and watch it now. We also break down the lyrics in Long Time Gone, a song that is wildly gay for having been released in 2002. There is no straight explanation for this song, and to be honest… it's giving Betty. We know one thing for sure, The Chicks music Should've Been Gay. Remember, you can give us your own answers to our Q & Gay on Instagram and follow along on Facebook, TikTok, and BlueSky @lezhangoutpod. Goodbye Earl! The infamous Henry Earl who has been arrested over 15000 times has passed away. In Other News... A man was too drunk to drive, instead of calling an uber, he had his 14 year old nephew drive for the first time. The young boy was all over the road, police stopped him... The drunk man told the police he was a driving teacher, thinking he would get out of any charges... he was arrested on many charges.

Amy hosted an event the other night with Kelsea Ballerini and Kelsie mentioned this quote: “People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.” Amy shared it as the quote for this episode and the main idea behind “reason, season, lifetime” is that all relationships, regardless of their length, have some sort of purpose. Kelsea also has a song about ride or die friendships “If You Go Down (I'm Going Down Too)” so Amy & Kat discussed what they would be willing to do for each other…“Goodbye Earl” style??? This dramedy-within-a-sitcom show is all about settling in life, marriage and relationships, especially romantic relationships, and then waking up to who you are and what you really want and need. I can't stop thinking about it, Annie Murphy's performance, the way it's structured and written — and that manic intrusive laugh track, which can just get the f.... outta here.Kevin Can F... Himself isn't just a PG-rated title, but a symbol of a character who struggles to express her deepest, most troubling emotions about how her life has turned out —until the moment she decides that her dead marriage and small-town working class life isn't going to be the sum total of who she is.I know it's called Everybody Loves Raymond but I've always called it Everyone Loves Raymond and apparently I can't stop now. I actually find it very very funny, a sort of laugh-until-you-cry —with recognition — show. Even when the stereotypes chafe, there is so much truth in them.Fleabag is the most original comedy to hit the screens in decades. It's my reference point for groundbreaking writing and producing — well, until the next Phoebe Waller-Bridge comedy project, I guess. All these years later, justice has still never felt as delicious as in the cameo-studded video for Goodbye Earl. What happens when three dummies talk about one of the best-selling and most-controversial music groups in 21st century America? Listen to find out. We're talking about Fly, the diamond-certified second studio album from The Chicks, which hits the Rolling Stone 500 Greatest Albums list at #224. There's so much to talk about with this album. First, we have no idea what Sonya and Nathan think of country music - they weren't on the show last time we tackled the genre with Dolly Parton's Coat of Many Colors. Are either of them anything-but-country music fans? If so, will this be an offensive and horrible episode that country fans are bound to hate? Do country fans still like The Chicks? Does this album from The Chicks have the depth and heft to earn its way onto the list? Is it even the right album from The Chicks? And we are back! With Season 3 scheduled for later this summer, we thought we should catch up on Season 2. So here's our take on S2E1: “Goodbye Earl”. After the death of a beloved mascot, Danny now believes that “Football is Death”. Nate isn't the best new manager, Roy struggles with life off the pitch, Rebecca wonders about her new boyfriend, and Ted can't quite handle the sports psychologist that they have brought in to help Danny. Cathy and Mike discuss the challenges of cross-cultural communication; starting out as a new manager; coaching vs. therapy; and the importance of vulnerability in your personal life–and even at work. Discussed in this pod: Brene Brown's Ted talks and her book Dare to Lead Radiohead's Karma Police Aime Mann's Wise Up Squeeze's Goodbye Girl

The episode starts mid season, as Richmond has drawn their last seven games. Dani prepares to kick a game winning penalty, but he accidentally kills Richmond's greyhound mascot Earl as he jumps in front of the goal to attack a bird. Dani is guilt-ridden and loses his football skills. Meanwhile, a newly retired Roy is coaching an Under 9 Girls Football team and dating Keeley. They go on a double date with Rebecca's new boyfriend John, but Roy convinces Rebecca after the date that she deserves someone better. To help Dani recover from his "yips", Richmond hires sports psychologist Sharon Fieldstone, whose stern and disciplined attitude clashes with Ted. Rebecca breaks things off with John. After meeting with Sharon, Dani regains his enthusiasm for football and converts a corner kick goal in practice. As a result, more players begin to request sessions with Sharon. With his yoga group, Roy watches Lust Conquers All (a Love Island-style reality show) that Jamie is revealed to be a contestant on. Roy is livid with his group for liking Jamie.

On this week's entertainment-themed Round 2, we kick off season 2 of Ted Lasso with "Goodbye Earl" and "Lavender." We're fans of the extremely capable Dr. Sharon Fieldstone, and can't wait to see what she has in store for Jamie Tartt. Also, Terri apologizes for saying "soccer" throughout when she should have been saying "football." She trusts Ted will understand. Next week: "Do the Right-est Thing" and "Carol of the Bells" (how seasonal!). Mentioned: "Goodbye Earl" from The Chicks [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gw7gNf_9njs].
This episode is rated: Cowboy! This week Danny and Tyler are joined by comedian, writer, and The Chicks expert Caleb Hearon (@calebsaysthings, Keeping Records Podcast). We arrive at the premiere in stoppage time of the 8th game of the season only to see Dani Rojas kill a dog with a PK. No, that is not a misprint, Dani Rojas killed a dog with a PK, getting the yips in the process. The dog dying was not even the most cringe worthy thing that happened in this episode - that belongs to the press pool stealing Trent Crimm's line! In addition to saying goodbye to Earl, the Brothers discuss the flurry of activity going on in the episode and all that seems to have happened since we last saw the characters: - Roy is MIA after a seemingly epic retirement presser, coaching Phoebe's U9 girls team. - Rebecca is dating - dude is nothing like Rupert, but still a knob. - Nate has turned heel! - The Lasso Way no longer seems to be working! - New characters galore! Ted Lasso on calling out epically bad ideas: “I shouldn't bring an umbrella to a brainstorm.”

The Robins: Riot in Cell Block #9 (1954)Steve Earle: Copperhead Road (1988)The Divine Comedy: Lady of a Certain Age (2006)Bobbie Gentry: Fancy (1969)Niels Skousen: Heksen (2006) OBS!
