Have you ever felt lonely while alone, or in a crowd. or even in a relationship? Can you lift yourself out of those feelings? Consider that the Universe has your back. Faith in something Greater can uplift you and even carry you. Plainly name and call out the feelings of being lonely, without shame, because they're universal feelings. Then welcome and receive invitations and moments when others reach out, and recognize when "little birdies" show up for us. We also have the ability to do that for others as divine extensions and instruments. Let's be open to the idea that we're all connected, because things can happen to us, and also through us and from us, so we really are never alone.

This is an oral testimony of Captain Frank Murphy from The Frank Murphy Collection at the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force. Throughout our episodes, you have been hearing audio clips from this interview. Here is the interview with Frank Murphy in its entirety. Sitting on jeep, left to right: Lt. Frank Murphy and Lt. Charles Cruikshank. Standing far right is Capt. Albert “Bucky” Elton, 418th Sq. Operations Officer. Others kneeling and sitting, left to right: Lt. Augie Gaspar, Lt. Glenn Graham, and Lt. Burr, 418th Sq. Intelligence Officer. Murphy Collection. Frank Murphy survived German POW camps after being shot out of his B-17 Flying Fortress. His bravery earned him the Prisoner of War Medal, Purple Heart, and Air Medal. The incredible stories of Murphy and his 8th Air Force's 100th Bomb Group is now being featured in the Apple TV+ Series, Masters of the Air. Murphy's story documents his order of assignments, the everyday adversity of war, his downing and his custody--all told with unembellished, yet searing objectivity. Members of the 100th Bomb Group at RAF Thorpe Abbotts on August 17, 1943. Frank D. Murphy is kneeling on the left with a dagger in his pocket. Below is an excerpt from his memoir, Luck of the Draw: On Monday, June 28, 1943, along with seventeen other [100th Bomb Group aircrafts], and three other 4th BW groups equipped with Tokyo tanks, Crew No. 31 set out to attack the German submarine pens at Saint-Nazaire, France. Because of the large number of antiaircraft guns ringing the port, it was known as “Flak City.” Out of respect for this formidable array of defensive weaponry, our bombing altitude would be twenty-eight thousand feet, the highest bombing altitude of our combat tour. With our long-range fuel tanks, it was not necessary for us to fly over France; instead, we departed the English coast at Land's End at the southwestern tip of England, flew entirely over water around the Brest Peninsula, and made our bomb run from the sea over the Bay of Biscay. It was a beautiful sunny day, but as we turned to our bomb run at the IP, I saw antiaircraft fire for the first time. It horrified me. The flak was easy for me to see since my navigator's table was immediately behind the bombardier, whose position was in the Plexiglas cone that formed the nose of the bomber. I could easily see past the bombardier and, of course, I had windows of my own, so getting an eyeful of flak bursts was unavoidable. When we entered the flak, it was an almost uninterrupted cloud of swirling black smoke filled with angry red explosions. Plainly, any one of those exploding shells could obliterate an aircraft and its crew without warning. When the group ahead of us entered this inferno, they all but disappeared. My heart felt as if it would stop. It did not appear possible that anyone or anything could fly into that hell and come out alive on the other side. But somehow, despite being buffeted by thunderous explosions and the incessant clinking, clanging, and pinging of shell fragments striking our airplane, we made it through. I quickly learned to hate flak—it frightened the life out of me. We could not see it coming, nor could we fight back as we could with enemy fighters. The German gun-laying radar was incredibly accurate. The standard German antiaircraft gun, the 88 mm flak cannon, was capable of hurling an eighteen-pound shell to a maximum slant range of nine thousand yards. It took the shell twenty-five seconds to cover this distance, and during this time, its target would move almost two miles. Yet we seldom knew we were under fire until the antiaircraft shells began exploding in proximity to us, usually in simultaneous bursts of four black puffs from a single battery if it was light, or in thick concentrations of random explosions if several batteries were zeroed in on us. We couldn't take evasive action until we were already in the middle of it, and on a bomb run, we took no evasive action regardless of how intense the flak was. We had to fly straight and level so the bombardier could drop the bombs on target. The din inside the airplane was horrific—the continuous roaring of our four Wright Cyclone engines was almost deafening. Still, we could easily hear the muffled explosions of nearby flak bursts, and if they were really close, they made loud, cracking sounds like near-miss lightning strikes or breaking tree limbs. If German fighters attacked us, the airplane shook and vibrated violently from the operation of our flexible machine guns and power turrets, sounding much like someone thumping on washtubs with sticks. Dust and threads of insulation flew about the airplane, and shrapnel from flak, which varied in size from as big as baseballs to as small as gravel, rained on and often penetrated the thin skin of the airplane. Inside the Plexiglas nose of the airplane, it was as if we were in a fishbowl in a shooting gallery five miles up in the sky in an already-unforgiving environment. It is difficult to describe how exposed and unprotected we felt. Wreckage of Frank Murphy's B17, shot down over Münster, Germany Mission 21, Münster, Germany The Battle over Munster was a pivotal moment in the war, and it played a significant role in the eventual Allied victory. By targeting the railroad marshalling yards, the Allies were able to disrupt the flow of supplies and reinforcements to the German front lines, weakening their position and ultimately helping to turn the tide of the war. Shot down During this hazzardous mission near Münster, on October 10th 1943, Frank (on his twenty first mission) was aboard the B-17 Flying Fortress "AW-R-Go" (#42-30725) when the plane was shot down. Taken prisoner Captain Frank D. Murphy (22) was taken prisoner of war for the remainder of the war, which lasted for another nineteen months. He was first sent to Stalag Luft III in Sagan, a prisoner of war camp for captured airmen. In January 1945, as the Russian Army advanced on the camp, the prisoners were moved to Stalag VIIA in Moosburg, which was a work camp for Allied prisoners of war. After enduring a grueling march in sub-zero temperatures, with little rest or food, many soldiers did not survive the journey. Frank even traded his shoes with a fellow soldier to survive. They were then crammed into boxcars for two days and three nights with no access to sunlight or fresh air. Preparing to depart Stalag Luft VIIA on May 10, 1945. Frank D. Liberation Upon arrival in Moosburg, where he was assigned to Work Camp 3324-46 Krumbachstrasse and later to Work Camp 3368 in Munich, the conditions were horrific. Frank referred to it as a "living hellhole of all hellholes." However, on April 29th, 1945, General George S. Patton's American Third Army liberated over 100.000 POWs, including Frank. He had lost over 50 pounds, weighing only 122 pounds at the time of liberation. During his time in service, Frank earned among others, the Air Medal, The Purple Heart, The US Prisoner of War Medal and the European Campaign Ribbon.

Plainly speaking the name of “Jesus,” Yahshua, Yahawashi, Messiah, Jesus, Yahawah, are all synonyms. The definition of a synonym "Words that have the same or similar meaning." The Bible Prophesied that Christ would be called by many names: “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder. And His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6 In this message I go through some of the names that Christ have been called throughout the bible and through history including "David." Nonetheless, no one on the planet can doubt, that "There Is Something About The Name Jesus." This full video which is 30+ minutes long is available on my Exclusive Channel (Subscribe at https://ministries.leodunson.com/checkout/subscribe) there I go into another prophecy about the name of Jesus: “For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith the LORD of hosts.” Malachi 1:11 What name is great amongst the gentiles? Notes: Text: 2 Corinthians 5:14-21 +A follower of Jesus is no longer a prisoner to death. +A follower of Jesus is a new creation. +A follower of Jesus is sent. “Plainly, if Paul's conclusion is to be drawn, the ‘for' must reach deeper than this mere suggestion of our advantage: if we all died, in that Christ died for us, there must be a sense in which that death of his is ours; He must be identified with us in it: there, on the cross, while we stand and gaze at Him, He is not simply a person doing us a service; He is a person doing us a service by filling our place and dying our death.” – James Denney “But, behold, a new soul (for it was cleansed), and also a new body, and a new worship, and new promises and covenant and life and table and dress, and all things absolutely new.” – John Crysostom

The Haunter of the Dark By H. P. Lovecraft (Dedicated to Robert Bloch) I have seen the dark universe yawning Where the black planets roll without aim— Where they roll in their horror unheeded, Without knowledge or lustre or name. —Nemesis. Cautious investigators will hesitate to challenge the common belief that Robert Blake was killed by lightning, or by some profound nervous shock derived from an electrical discharge. It is true that the window he faced was unbroken, but Nature has shewn herself capable of many freakish performances. The expression on his face may easily have arisen from some obscure muscular source unrelated to anything he saw, while the entries in his diary are clearly the result of a fantastic imagination aroused by certain local superstitions and by certain old matters he had uncovered. As for the anomalous conditions at the deserted church on Federal Hill—the shrewd analyst is not slow in attributing them to some charlatanry, conscious or unconscious, with at least some of which Blake was secretly connected. For after all, the victim was a writer and painter wholly devoted to the field of myth, dream, terror, and superstition, and avid in his quest for scenes and effects of a bizarre, spectral sort. His earlier stay in the city—a visit to a strange old man as deeply given to occult and forbidden lore as he—had ended amidst death and flame, and it must have been some morbid instinct which drew him back from his home in Milwaukee. He may have known of the old stories despite his statements to the contrary in the diary, and his death may have nipped in the bud some stupendous hoax destined to have a literary reflection. Among those, however, who have examined and correlated all this evidence, there remain several who cling to less rational and commonplace theories. They are inclined to take much of Blake's diary at its face value, and point significantly to certain facts such as the undoubted genuineness of the old church record, the verified existence of the disliked and unorthodox Starry Wisdom sect prior to 1877, the recorded disappearance of an inquisitive reporter named Edwin M. Lillibridge in 1893, and—above all—the look of monstrous, transfiguring fear on the face of the young writer when he died. It was one of these believers who, moved to fanatical extremes, threw into the bay the curiously angled stone and its strangely adorned metal box found in the old church steeple—the black windowless steeple, and not the tower where Blake's diary said those things originally were. Though widely censured both officially and unofficially, this man—a reputable physician with a taste for odd folklore—averred that he had rid the earth of something too dangerous to rest upon it. Between these two schools of opinion the reader must judge for himself. The papers have given the tangible details from a sceptical angle, leaving for others the drawing of the picture as Robert Blake saw it—or thought he saw it—or pretended to see it. Now, studying the diary closely, dispassionately, and at leisure, let us summarise the dark chain of events from the expressed point of view of their chief actor. Young Blake returned to Providence in the winter of 1934–5, taking the upper floor of a venerable dwelling in a grassy court off College Street—on the crest of the great eastward hill near the Brown University campus and behind the marble John Hay Library. It was a cosy and fascinating place, in a little garden oasis of village-like antiquity where huge, friendly cats sunned themselves atop a convenient shed. The square Georgian house had a monitor roof, classic doorway with fan carving, small-paned windows, and all the other earmarks of early nineteenth-century workmanship. Inside were six-panelled doors, wide floor-boards, a curving colonial staircase, white Adam-period mantels, and a rear set of rooms three steps below the general level. Blake's study, a large southwest chamber, overlooked the front garden on one side, while its west windows—before one of which he had his desk—faced off from the brow of the hill and commanded a splendid view of the lower town's outspread roofs and of the mystical sunsets that flamed behind them. On the far horizon were the open countryside's purple slopes. Against these, some two miles away, rose the spectral hump of Federal Hill, bristling with huddled roofs and steeples whose remote outlines wavered mysteriously, taking fantastic forms as the smoke of the city swirled up and enmeshed them. Blake had a curious sense that he was looking upon some unknown, ethereal world which might or might not vanish in dream if ever he tried to seek it out and enter it in person. Having sent home for most of his books, Blake bought some antique furniture suitable to his quarters and settled down to write and paint—living alone, and attending to the simple housework himself. His studio was in a north attic room, where the panes of the monitor roof furnished admirable lighting. During that first winter he produced five of his best-known short stories—“The Burrower Beneath”, “The Stairs in the Crypt”, “Shaggai”, “In the Vale of Pnath”, and “The Feaster from the Stars”—and painted seven canvases; studies of nameless, unhuman monsters, and profoundly alien, non-terrestrial landscapes. At sunset he would often sit at his desk and gaze dreamily off at the outspread west—the dark towers of Memorial Hall just below, the Georgian court-house belfry, the lofty pinnacles of the downtown section, and that shimmering, spire-crowned mound in the distance whose unknown streets and labyrinthine gables so potently provoked his fancy. From his few local acquaintances he learned that the far-off slope was a vast Italian quarter, though most of the houses were remnants of older Yankee and Irish days. Now and then he would train his field-glasses on that spectral, unreachable world beyond the curling smoke; picking out individual roofs and chimneys and steeples, and speculating upon the bizarre and curious mysteries they might house. Even with optical aid Federal Hill seemed somehow alien, half fabulous, and linked to the unreal, intangible marvels of Blake's own tales and pictures. The feeling would persist long after the hill had faded into the violet, lamp-starred twilight, and the court-house floodlights and the red Industrial Trust beacon had blazed up to make the night grotesque. Of all the distant objects on Federal Hill, a certain huge, dark church most fascinated Blake. It stood out with especial distinctness at certain hours of the day, and at sunset the great tower and tapering steeple loomed blackly against the flaming sky. It seemed to rest on especially high ground; for the grimy facade, and the obliquely seen north side with sloping roof and the tops of great pointed windows, rose boldly above the tangle of surrounding ridgepoles and chimney-pots. Peculiarly grim and austere, it appeared to be built of stone, stained and weathered with the smoke and storms of a century and more. The style, so far as the glass could shew, was that earliest experimental form of Gothic revival which preceded the stately Upjohn period and held over some of the outlines and proportions of the Georgian age. Perhaps it was reared around 1810 or 1815. As months passed, Blake watched the far-off, forbidding structure with an oddly mounting interest. Since the vast windows were never lighted, he knew that it must be vacant. The longer he watched, the more his imagination worked, till at length he began to fancy curious things. He believed that a vague, singular aura of desolation hovered over the place, so that even the pigeons and swallows shunned its smoky eaves. Around other towers and belfries his glass would reveal great flocks of birds, but here they never rested. At least, that is what he thought and set down in his diary. He pointed the place out to several friends, but none of them had even been on Federal Hill or possessed the faintest notion of what the church was or had been. In the spring a deep restlessness gripped Blake. He had begun his long-planned novel—based on a supposed survival of the witch-cult in Maine—but was strangely unable to make progress with it. More and more he would sit at his westward window and gaze at the distant hill and the black, frowning steeple shunned by the birds. When the delicate leaves came out on the garden boughs the world was filled with a new beauty, but Blake's restlessness was merely increased. It was then that he first thought of crossing the city and climbing bodily up that fabulous slope into the smoke-wreathed world of dream. Late in April, just before the aeon-shadowed Walpurgis time, Blake made his first trip into the unknown. Plodding through the endless downtown streets and the bleak, decayed squares beyond, he came finally upon the ascending avenue of century-worn steps, sagging Doric porches, and blear-paned cupolas which he felt must lead up to the long-known, unreachable world beyond the mists. There were dingy blue-and-white street signs which meant nothing to him, and presently he noted the strange, dark faces of the drifting crowds, and the foreign signs over curious shops in brown, decade-weathered buildings. Nowhere could he find any of the objects he had seen from afar; so that once more he half fancied that the Federal Hill of that distant view was a dream-world never to be trod by living human feet. Now and then a battered church facade or crumbling spire came in sight, but never the blackened pile that he sought. When he asked a shopkeeper about a great stone church the man smiled and shook his head, though he spoke English freely. As Blake climbed higher, the region seemed stranger and stranger, with bewildering mazes of brooding brown alleys leading eternally off to the south. He crossed two or three broad avenues, and once thought he glimpsed a familiar tower. Again he asked a merchant about the massive church of stone, and this time he could have sworn that the plea of ignorance was feigned. The dark man's face had a look of fear which he tried to hide, and Blake saw him make a curious sign with his right hand. Then suddenly a black spire stood out against the cloudy sky on his left, above the tiers of brown roofs lining the tangled southerly alleys. Blake knew at once what it was, and plunged toward it through the squalid, unpaved lanes that climbed from the avenue. Twice he lost his way, but he somehow dared not ask any of the patriarchs or housewives who sat on their doorsteps, or any of the children who shouted and played in the mud of the shadowy lanes. At last he saw the tower plain against the southwest, and a huge stone bulk rose darkly at the end of an alley. Presently he stood in a windswept open square, quaintly cobblestoned, with a high bank wall on the farther side. This was the end of his quest; for upon the wide, iron-railed, weed-grown plateau which the wall supported—a separate, lesser world raised fully six feet above the surrounding streets—there stood a grim, titan bulk whose identity, despite Blake's new perspective, was beyond dispute. The vacant church was in a state of great decrepitude. Some of the high stone buttresses had fallen, and several delicate finials lay half lost among the brown, neglected weeds and grasses. The sooty Gothic windows were largely unbroken, though many of the stone mullions were missing. Blake wondered how the obscurely painted panes could have survived so well, in view of the known habits of small boys the world over. The massive doors were intact and tightly closed. Around the top of the bank wall, fully enclosing the grounds, was a rusty iron fence whose gate—at the head of a flight of steps from the square—was visibly padlocked. The path from the gate to the building was completely overgrown. Desolation and decay hung like a pall above the place, and in the birdless eaves and black, ivyless walls Blake felt a touch of the dimly sinister beyond his power to define. There were very few people in the square, but Blake saw a policeman at the northerly end and approached him with questions about the church. He was a great wholesome Irishman, and it seemed odd that he would do little more than make the sign of the cross and mutter that people never spoke of that building. When Blake pressed him he said very hurriedly that the Italian priests warned everybody against it, vowing that a monstrous evil had once dwelt there and left its mark. He himself had heard dark whispers of it from his father, who recalled certain sounds and rumours from his boyhood. There had been a bad sect there in the ould days—an outlaw sect that called up awful things from some unknown gulf of night. It had taken a good priest to exorcise what had come, though there did be those who said that merely the light could do it. If Father O'Malley were alive there would be many the thing he could tell. But now there was nothing to do but let it alone. It hurt nobody now, and those that owned it were dead or far away. They had run away like rats after the threatening talk in '77, when people began to mind the way folks vanished now and then in the neighbourhood. Some day the city would step in and take the property for lack of heirs, but little good would come of anybody's touching it. Better it be left alone for the years to topple, lest things be stirred that ought to rest forever in their black abyss. After the policeman had gone Blake stood staring at the sullen steepled pile. It excited him to find that the structure seemed as sinister to others as to him, and he wondered what grain of truth might lie behind the old tales the bluecoat had repeated. Probably they were mere legends evoked by the evil look of the place, but even so, they were like a strange coming to life of one of his own stories. The afternoon sun came out from behind dispersing clouds, but seemed unable to light up the stained, sooty walls of the old temple that towered on its high plateau. It was odd that the green of spring had not touched the brown, withered growths in the raised, iron-fenced yard. Blake found himself edging nearer the raised area and examining the bank wall and rusted fence for possible avenues of ingress. There was a terrible lure about the blackened fane which was not to be resisted. The fence had no opening near the steps, but around on the north side were some missing bars. He could go up the steps and walk around on the narrow coping outside the fence till he came to the gap. If the people feared the place so wildly, he would encounter no interference. He was on the embankment and almost inside the fence before anyone noticed him. Then, looking down, he saw the few people in the square edging away and making the same sign with their right hands that the shopkeeper in the avenue had made. Several windows were slammed down, and a fat woman darted into the street and pulled some small children inside a rickety, unpainted house. The gap in the fence was very easy to pass through, and before long Blake found himself wading amidst the rotting, tangled growths of the deserted yard. Here and there the worn stump of a headstone told him that there had once been burials in this field; but that, he saw, must have been very long ago. The sheer bulk of the church was oppressive now that he was close to it, but he conquered his mood and approached to try the three great doors in the facade. All were securely locked, so he began a circuit of the Cyclopean building in quest of some minor and more penetrable opening. Even then he could not be sure that he wished to enter that haunt of desertion and shadow, yet the pull of its strangeness dragged him on automatically. A yawning and unprotected cellar window in the rear furnished the needed aperture. Peering in, Blake saw a subterrene gulf of cobwebs and dust faintly litten by the western sun's filtered rays. Debris, old barrels, and ruined boxes and furniture of numerous sorts met his eye, though over everything lay a shroud of dust which softened all sharp outlines. The rusted remains of a hot-air furnace shewed that the building had been used and kept in shape as late as mid-Victorian times. Acting almost without conscious initiative, Blake crawled through the window and let himself down to the dust-carpeted and debris-strown concrete floor. The vaulted cellar was a vast one, without partitions; and in a corner far to the right, amid dense shadows, he saw a black archway evidently leading upstairs. He felt a peculiar sense of oppression at being actually within the great spectral building, but kept it in check as he cautiously scouted about—finding a still-intact barrel amid the dust, and rolling it over to the open window to provide for his exit. Then, bracing himself, he crossed the wide, cobweb-festooned space toward the arch. Half choked with the omnipresent dust, and covered with ghostly gossamer fibres, he reached and began to climb the worn stone steps which rose into the darkness. He had no light, but groped carefully with his hands. After a sharp turn he felt a closed door ahead, and a little fumbling revealed its ancient latch. It opened inward, and beyond it he saw a dimly illumined corridor lined with worm-eaten panelling. Once on the ground floor, Blake began exploring in a rapid fashion. All the inner doors were unlocked, so that he freely passed from room to room. The colossal nave was an almost eldritch place with its drifts and mountains of dust over box pews, altar, hourglass pulpit, and sounding-board, and its titanic ropes of cobweb stretching among the pointed arches of the gallery and entwining the clustered Gothic columns. Over all this hushed desolation played a hideous leaden light as the declining afternoon sun sent its rays through the strange, half-blackened panes of the great apsidal windows. The paintings on those windows were so obscured by soot that Blake could scarcely decipher what they had represented, but from the little he could make out he did not like them. The designs were largely conventional, and his knowledge of obscure symbolism told him much concerning some of the ancient patterns. The few saints depicted bore expressions distinctly open to criticism, while one of the windows seemed to shew merely a dark space with spirals of curious luminosity scattered about in it. Turning away from the windows, Blake noticed that the cobwebbed cross above the altar was not of the ordinary kind, but resembled the primordial ankh or crux ansata of shadowy Egypt. In a rear vestry room beside the apse Blake found a rotting desk and ceiling-high shelves of mildewed, disintegrating books. Here for the first time he received a positive shock of objective horror, for the titles of those books told him much. They were the black, forbidden things which most sane people have never even heard of, or have heard of only in furtive, timorous whispers; the banned and dreaded repositories of equivocal secrets and immemorial formulae which have trickled down the stream of time from the days of man's youth, and the dim, fabulous days before man was. He had himself read many of them—a Latin version of the abhorred Necronomicon, the sinister Liber Ivonis, the infamous Cultes des Goules of Comte d'Erlette, the Unaussprechlichen Kulten of von Junzt, and old Ludvig Prinn's hellish De Vermis Mysteriis. But there were others he had known merely by reputation or not at all—the Pnakotic Manuscripts, the Book of Dzyan, and a crumbling volume in wholly unidentifiable characters yet with certain symbols and diagrams shudderingly recognisable to the occult student. Clearly, the lingering local rumours had not lied. This place had once been the seat of an evil older than mankind and wider than the known universe. In the ruined desk was a small leather-bound record-book filled with entries in some odd cryptographic medium. The manuscript writing consisted of the common traditional symbols used today in astronomy and anciently in alchemy, astrology, and other dubious arts—the devices of the sun, moon, planets, aspects, and zodiacal signs—here massed in solid pages of text, with divisions and paragraphings suggesting that each symbol answered to some alphabetical letter. In the hope of later solving the cryptogram, Blake bore off this volume in his coat pocket. Many of the great tomes on the shelves fascinated him unutterably, and he felt tempted to borrow them at some later time. He wondered how they could have remained undisturbed so long. Was he the first to conquer the clutching, pervasive fear which had for nearly sixty years protected this deserted place from visitors? Having now thoroughly explored the ground floor, Blake ploughed again through the dust of the spectral nave to the front vestibule, where he had seen a door and staircase presumably leading up to the blackened tower and steeple—objects so long familiar to him at a distance. The ascent was a choking experience, for dust lay thick, while the spiders had done their worst in this constricted place. The staircase was a spiral with high, narrow wooden treads, and now and then Blake passed a clouded window looking dizzily out over the city. Though he had seen no ropes below, he expected to find a bell or peal of bells in the tower whose narrow, louver-boarded lancet windows his field-glass had studied so often. Here he was doomed to disappointment; for when he attained the top of the stairs he found the tower chamber vacant of chimes, and clearly devoted to vastly different purposes. The room, about fifteen feet square, was faintly lighted by four lancet windows, one on each side, which were glazed within their screening of decayed louver-boards. These had been further fitted with tight, opaque screens, but the latter were now largely rotted away. In the centre of the dust-laden floor rose a curiously angled stone pillar some four feet in height and two in average diameter, covered on each side with bizarre, crudely incised, and wholly unrecognisable hieroglyphs. On this pillar rested a metal box of peculiarly asymmetrical form; its hinged lid thrown back, and its interior holding what looked beneath the decade-deep dust to be an egg-shaped or irregularly spherical object some four inches through. Around the pillar in a rough circle were seven high-backed Gothic chairs still largely intact, while behind them, ranging along the dark-panelled walls, were seven colossal images of crumbling, black-painted plaster, resembling more than anything else the cryptic carven megaliths of mysterious Easter Island. In one corner of the cobwebbed chamber a ladder was built into the wall, leading up to the closed trap-door of the windowless steeple above. As Blake grew accustomed to the feeble light he noticed odd bas-reliefs on the strange open box of yellowish metal. Approaching, he tried to clear the dust away with his hands and handkerchief, and saw that the figurings were of a monstrous and utterly alien kind; depicting entities which, though seemingly alive, resembled no known life-form ever evolved on this planet. The four-inch seeming sphere turned out to be a nearly black, red-striated polyhedron with many irregular flat surfaces; either a very remarkable crystal of some sort, or an artificial object of carved and highly polished mineral matter. It did not touch the bottom of the box, but was held suspended by means of a metal band around its centre, with seven queerly designed supports extending horizontally to angles of the box's inner wall near the top. This stone, once exposed, exerted upon Blake an almost alarming fascination. He could scarcely tear his eyes from it, and as he looked at its glistening surfaces he almost fancied it was transparent, with half-formed worlds of wonder within. Into his mind floated pictures of alien orbs with great stone towers, and other orbs with titan mountains and no mark of life, and still remoter spaces where only a stirring in vague blacknesses told of the presence of consciousness and will. When he did look away, it was to notice a somewhat singular mound of dust in the far corner near the ladder to the steeple. Just why it took his attention he could not tell, but something in its contours carried a message to his unconscious mind. Ploughing toward it, and brushing aside the hanging cobwebs as he went, he began to discern something grim about it. Hand and handkerchief soon revealed the truth, and Blake gasped with a baffling mixture of emotions. It was a human skeleton, and it must have been there for a very long time. The clothing was in shreds, but some buttons and fragments of cloth bespoke a man's grey suit. There were other bits of evidence—shoes, metal clasps, huge buttons for round cuffs, a stickpin of bygone pattern, a reporter's badge with the name of the old Providence Telegram, and a crumbling leather pocketbook. Blake examined the latter with care, finding within it several bills of antiquated issue, a celluloid advertising calendar for 1893, some cards with the name “Edwin M. Lillibridge”, and a paper covered with pencilled memoranda. This paper held much of a puzzling nature, and Blake read it carefully at the dim westward window. Its disjointed text included such phrases as the following: “Prof. Enoch Bowen home from Egypt May 1844—buys old Free-Will Church in July—his archaeological work & studies in occult well known.” “Dr. Drowne of 4th Baptist warns against Starry Wisdom in sermon Dec. 29, 1844.” “Congregation 97 by end of '45.” “1846—3 disappearances—first mention of Shining Trapezohedron.” “7 disappearances 1848—stories of blood sacrifice begin.” “Investigation 1853 comes to nothing—stories of sounds.” “Fr. O'Malley tells of devil-worship with box found in great Egyptian ruins—says they call up something that can't exist in light. Flees a little light, and banished by strong light. Then has to be summoned again. Probably got this from deathbed confession of Francis X. Feeney, who had joined Starry Wisdom in '49. These people say the Shining Trapezohedron shews them heaven & other worlds, & that the Haunter of the Dark tells them secrets in some way.” “Story of Orrin B. Eddy 1857. They call it up by gazing at the crystal, & have a secret language of their own.” “200 or more in cong. 1863, exclusive of men at front.” “Irish boys mob church in 1869 after Patrick Regan's disappearance.” “Veiled article in J. March 14, '72, but people don't talk about it.” “6 disappearances 1876—secret committee calls on Mayor Doyle.” “Action promised Feb. 1877—church closes in April.” “Gang—Federal Hill Boys—threaten Dr. —— and vestrymen in May.” “181 persons leave city before end of '77—mention no names.” “Ghost stories begin around 1880—try to ascertain truth of report that no human being has entered church since 1877.” “Ask Lanigan for photograph of place taken 1851.” . . . Restoring the paper to the pocketbook and placing the latter in his coat, Blake turned to look down at the skeleton in the dust. The implications of the notes were clear, and there could be no doubt but that this man had come to the deserted edifice forty-two years before in quest of a newspaper sensation which no one else had been bold enough to attempt. Perhaps no one else had known of his plan—who could tell? But he had never returned to his paper. Had some bravely suppressed fear risen to overcome him and bring on sudden heart-failure? Blake stooped over the gleaming bones and noted their peculiar state. Some of them were badly scattered, and a few seemed oddly dissolved at the ends. Others were strangely yellowed, with vague suggestions of charring. This charring extended to some of the fragments of clothing. The skull was in a very peculiar state—stained yellow, and with a charred aperture in the top as if some powerful acid had eaten through the solid bone. What had happened to the skeleton during its four decades of silent entombment here Blake could not imagine. Before he realised it, he was looking at the stone again, and letting its curious influence call up a nebulous pageantry in his mind. He saw processions of robed, hooded figures whose outlines were not human, and looked on endless leagues of desert lined with carved, sky-reaching monoliths. He saw towers and walls in nighted depths under the sea, and vortices of space where wisps of black mist floated before thin shimmerings of cold purple haze. And beyond all else he glimpsed an infinite gulf of darkness, where solid and semi-solid forms were known only by their windy stirrings, and cloudy patterns of force seemed to superimpose order on chaos and hold forth a key to all the paradoxes and arcana of the worlds we know. Then all at once the spell was broken by an access of gnawing, indeterminate panic fear. Blake choked and turned away from the stone, conscious of some formless alien presence close to him and watching him with horrible intentness. He felt entangled with something—something which was not in the stone, but which had looked through it at him—something which would ceaselessly follow him with a cognition that was not physical sight. Plainly, the place was getting on his nerves—as well it might in view of his gruesome find. The light was waning, too, and since he had no illuminant with him he knew he would have to be leaving soon. It was then, in the gathering twilight, that he thought he saw a faint trace of luminosity in the crazily angled stone. He had tried to look away from it, but some obscure compulsion drew his eyes back. Was there a subtle phosphorescence of radio-activity about the thing? What was it that the dead man's notes had said concerning a Shining Trapezohedron? What, anyway, was this abandoned lair of cosmic evil? What had been done here, and what might still be lurking in the bird-shunned shadows? It seemed now as if an elusive touch of foetor had arisen somewhere close by, though its source was not apparent. Blake seized the cover of the long-open box and snapped it down. It moved easily on its alien hinges, and closed completely over the unmistakably glowing stone. At the sharp click of that closing a soft stirring sound seemed to come from the steeple's eternal blackness overhead, beyond the trap-door. Rats, without question—the only living things to reveal their presence in this accursed pile since he had entered it. And yet that stirring in the steeple frightened him horribly, so that he plunged almost wildly down the spiral stairs, across the ghoulish nave, into the vaulted basement, out amidst the gathering dusk of the deserted square, and down through the teeming, fear-haunted alleys and avenues of Federal Hill toward the sane central streets and the home-like brick sidewalks of the college district. During the days which followed, Blake told no one of his expedition. Instead, he read much in certain books, examined long years of newspaper files downtown, and worked feverishly at the cryptogram in that leather volume from the cobwebbed vestry room. The cipher, he soon saw, was no simple one; and after a long period of endeavour he felt sure that its language could not be English, Latin, Greek, French, Spanish, Italian, or German. Evidently he would have to draw upon the deepest wells of his strange erudition. Every evening the old impulse to gaze westward returned, and he saw the black steeple as of yore amongst the bristling roofs of a distant and half-fabulous world. But now it held a fresh note of terror for him. He knew the heritage of evil lore it masked, and with the knowledge his vision ran riot in queer new ways. The birds of spring were returning, and as he watched their sunset flights he fancied they avoided the gaunt, lone spire as never before. When a flock of them approached it, he thought, they would wheel and scatter in panic confusion—and he could guess at the wild twitterings which failed to reach him across the intervening miles. It was in June that Blake's diary told of his victory over the cryptogram. The text was, he found, in the dark Aklo language used by certain cults of evil antiquity, and known to him in a halting way through previous researches. The diary is strangely reticent about what Blake deciphered, but he was patently awed and disconcerted by his results. There are references to a Haunter of the Dark awaked by gazing into the Shining Trapezohedron, and insane conjectures about the black gulfs of chaos from which it was called. The being is spoken of as holding all knowledge, and demanding monstrous sacrifices. Some of Blake's entries shew fear lest the thing, which he seemed to regard as summoned, stalk abroad; though he adds that the street-lights form a bulwark which cannot be crossed. Of the Shining Trapezohedron he speaks often, calling it a window on all time and space, and tracing its history from the days it was fashioned on dark Yuggoth, before ever the Old Ones brought it to earth. It was treasured and placed in its curious box by the crinoid things of Antarctica, salvaged from their ruins by the serpent-men of Valusia, and peered at aeons later in Lemuria by the first human beings. It crossed strange lands and stranger seas, and sank with Atlantis before a Minoan fisher meshed it in his net and sold it to swarthy merchants from nighted Khem. The Pharaoh Nephren-Ka built around it a temple with a windowless crypt, and did that which caused his name to be stricken from all monuments and records. Then it slept in the ruins of that evil fane which the priests and the new Pharaoh destroyed, till the delver's spade once more brought it forth to curse mankind. Early in July the newspapers oddly supplement Blake's entries, though in so brief and casual a way that only the diary has called general attention to their contribution. It appears that a new fear had been growing on Federal Hill since a stranger had entered the dreaded church. The Italians whispered of unaccustomed stirrings and bumpings and scrapings in the dark windowless steeple, and called on their priests to banish an entity which haunted their dreams. Something, they said, was constantly watching at a door to see if it were dark enough to venture forth. Press items mentioned the long-standing local superstitions, but failed to shed much light on the earlier background of the horror. It was obvious that the young reporters of today are no antiquarians. In writing of these things in his diary, Blake expresses a curious kind of remorse, and talks of the duty of burying the Shining Trapezohedron and of banishing what he had evoked by letting daylight into the hideous jutting spire. At the same time, however, he displays the dangerous extent of his fascination, and admits a morbid longing—pervading even his dreams—to visit the accursed tower and gaze again into the cosmic secrets of the glowing stone. Then something in the Journal on the morning of July 17 threw the diarist into a veritable fever of horror. It was only a variant of the other half-humorous items about the Federal Hill restlessness, but to Blake it was somehow very terrible indeed. In the night a thunderstorm had put the city's lighting-system out of commission for a full hour, and in that black interval the Italians had nearly gone mad with fright. Those living near the dreaded church had sworn that the thing in the steeple had taken advantage of the street-lamps' absence and gone down into the body of the church, flopping and bumping around in a viscous, altogether dreadful way. Toward the last it had bumped up to the tower, where there were sounds of the shattering of glass. It could go wherever the darkness reached, but light would always send it fleeing. When the current blazed on again there had been a shocking commotion in the tower, for even the feeble light trickling through the grime-blackened, louver-boarded windows was too much for the thing. It had bumped and slithered up into its tenebrous steeple just in time—for a long dose of light would have sent it back into the abyss whence the crazy stranger had called it. During the dark hour praying crowds had clustered round the church in the rain with lighted candles and lamps somehow shielded with folded paper and umbrellas—a guard of light to save the city from the nightmare that stalks in darkness. Once, those nearest the church declared, the outer door had rattled hideously. But even this was not the worst. That evening in the Bulletin Blake read of what the reporters had found. Aroused at last to the whimsical news value of the scare, a pair of them had defied the frantic crowds of Italians and crawled into the church through the cellar window after trying the doors in vain. They found the dust of the vestibule and of the spectral nave ploughed up in a singular way, with bits of rotted cushions and satin pew-linings scattered curiously around. There was a bad odour everywhere, and here and there were bits of yellow stain and patches of what looked like charring. Opening the door to the tower, and pausing a moment at the suspicion of a scraping sound above, they found the narrow spiral stairs wiped roughly clean. In the tower itself a similarly half-swept condition existed. They spoke of the heptagonal stone pillar, the overturned Gothic chairs, and the bizarre plaster images; though strangely enough the metal box and the old mutilated skeleton were not mentioned. What disturbed Blake the most—except for the hints of stains and charring and bad odours—was the final detail that explained the crashing glass. Every one of the tower's lancet windows was broken, and two of them had been darkened in a crude and hurried way by the stuffing of satin pew-linings and cushion-horsehair into the spaces between the slanting exterior louver-boards. More satin fragments and bunches of horsehair lay scattered around the newly swept floor, as if someone had been interrupted in the act of restoring the tower to the absolute blackness of its tightly curtained days. Yellowish stains and charred patches were found on the ladder to the windowless spire, but when a reporter climbed up, opened the horizontally sliding trap-door, and shot a feeble flashlight beam into the black and strangely foetid space, he saw nothing but darkness, and an heterogeneous litter of shapeless fragments near the aperture. The verdict, of course, was charlatanry. Somebody had played a joke on the superstitious hill-dwellers, or else some fanatic had striven to bolster up their fears for their own supposed good. Or perhaps some of the younger and more sophisticated dwellers had staged an elaborate hoax on the outside world. There was an amusing aftermath when the police sent an officer to verify the reports. Three men in succession found ways of evading the assignment, and the fourth went very reluctantly and returned very soon without adding to the account given by the reporters. From this point onward Blake's diary shews a mounting tide of insidious horror and nervous apprehension. He upbraids himself for not doing something, and speculates wildly on the consequences of another electrical breakdown. It has been verified that on three occasions—during thunderstorms—he telephoned the electric light company in a frantic vein and asked that desperate precautions against a lapse of power be taken. Now and then his entries shew concern over the failure of the reporters to find the metal box and stone, and the strangely marred old skeleton, when they explored the shadowy tower room. He assumed that these things had been removed—whither, and by whom or what, he could only guess. But his worst fears concerned himself, and the kind of unholy rapport he felt to exist between his mind and that lurking horror in the distant steeple—that monstrous thing of night which his rashness had called out of the ultimate black spaces. He seemed to feel a constant tugging at his will, and callers of that period remember how he would sit abstractedly at his desk and stare out of the west window at that far-off, spire-bristling mound beyond the swirling smoke of the city. His entries dwell monotonously on certain terrible dreams, and of a strengthening of the unholy rapport in his sleep. There is mention of a night when he awaked to find himself fully dressed, outdoors, and headed automatically down College Hill toward the west. Again and again he dwells on the fact that the thing in the steeple knows where to find him. The week following July 30 is recalled as the time of Blake's partial breakdown. He did not dress, and ordered all his food by telephone. Visitors remarked the cords he kept near his bed, and he said that sleep-walking had forced him to bind his ankles every night with knots which would probably hold or else waken him with the labour of untying. In his diary he told of the hideous experience which had brought the collapse. After retiring on the night of the 30th he had suddenly found himself groping about in an almost black space. All he could see were short, faint, horizontal streaks of bluish light, but he could smell an overpowering foetor and hear a curious jumble of soft, furtive sounds above him. Whenever he moved he stumbled over something, and at each noise there would come a sort of answering sound from above—a vague stirring, mixed with the cautious sliding of wood on wood. Once his groping hands encountered a pillar of stone with a vacant top, whilst later he found himself clutching the rungs of a ladder built into the wall, and fumbling his uncertain way upward toward some region of intenser stench where a hot, searing blast beat down against him. Before his eyes a kaleidoscopic range of phantasmal images played, all of them dissolving at intervals into the picture of a vast, unplumbed abyss of night wherein whirled suns and worlds of an even profounder blackness. He thought of the ancient legends of Ultimate Chaos, at whose centre sprawls the blind idiot god Azathoth, Lord of All Things, encircled by his flopping horde of mindless and amorphous dancers, and lulled by the thin monotonous piping of a daemoniac flute held in nameless paws. Then a sharp report from the outer world broke through his stupor and roused him to the unutterable horror of his position. What it was, he never knew—perhaps it was some belated peal from the fireworks heard all summer on Federal Hill as the dwellers hail their various patron saints, or the saints of their native villages in Italy. In any event he shrieked aloud, dropped frantically from the ladder, and stumbled blindly across the obstructed floor of the almost lightless chamber that encompassed him. He knew instantly where he was, and plunged recklessly down the narrow spiral staircase, tripping and bruising himself at every turn. There was a nightmare flight through a vast cobwebbed nave whose ghostly arches reached up to realms of leering shadow, a sightless scramble through a littered basement, a climb to regions of air and street-lights outside, and a mad racing down a spectral hill of gibbering gables, across a grim, silent city of tall black towers, and up the steep eastward precipice to his own ancient door. On regaining consciousness in the morning he found himself lying on his study floor fully dressed. Dirt and cobwebs covered him, and every inch of his body seemed sore and bruised. When he faced the mirror he saw that his hair was badly scorched, while a trace of strange, evil odour seemed to cling to his upper outer clothing. It was then that his nerves broke down. Thereafter, lounging exhaustedly about in a dressing-gown, he did little but stare from his west window, shiver at the threat of thunder, and make wild entries in his diary. The great storm broke just before midnight on August 8th. Lightning struck repeatedly in all parts of the city, and two remarkable fireballs were reported. The rain was torrential, while a constant fusillade of thunder brought sleeplessness to thousands. Blake was utterly frantic in his fear for the lighting system, and tried to telephone the company around 1 a.m., though by that time service had been temporarily cut off in the interest of safety. He recorded everything in his diary—the large, nervous, and often undecipherable hieroglyphs telling their own story of growing frenzy and despair, and of entries scrawled blindly in the dark. He had to keep the house dark in order to see out the window, and it appears that most of his time was spent at his desk, peering anxiously through the rain across the glistening miles of downtown roofs at the constellation of distant lights marking Federal Hill. Now and then he would fumblingly make an entry in his diary, so that detached phrases such as “The lights must not go”; “It knows where I am”; “I must destroy it”; and “It is calling to me, but perhaps it means no injury this time”; are found scattered down two of the pages. Then the lights went out all over the city. It happened at 2:12 a.m. according to power-house records, but Blake's diary gives no indication of the time. The entry is merely, “Lights out—God help me.” On Federal Hill there were watchers as anxious as he, and rain-soaked knots of men paraded the square and alleys around the evil church with umbrella-shaded candles, electric flashlights, oil lanterns, crucifixes, and obscure charms of the many sorts common to southern Italy. They blessed each flash of lightning, and made cryptical signs of fear with their right hands when a turn in the storm caused the flashes to lessen and finally to cease altogether. A rising wind blew out most of the candles, so that the scene grew threateningly dark. Someone roused Father Merluzzo of Spirito Santo Church, and he hastened to the dismal square to pronounce whatever helpful syllables he could. Of the restless and curious sounds in the blackened tower, there could be no doubt whatever. For what happened at 2:35 we have the testimony of the priest, a young, intelligent, and well-educated person; of Patrolman William J. Monahan of the Central Station, an officer of the highest reliability who had paused at that part of his beat to inspect the crowd; and of most of the seventy-eight men who had gathered around the church's high bank wall—especially those in the square where the eastward facade was visible. Of course there was nothing which can be proved as being outside the order of Nature. The possible causes of such an event are many. No one can speak with certainty of the obscure chemical processes arising in a vast, ancient, ill-aired, and long-deserted building of heterogeneous contents. Mephitic vapours—spontaneous combustion—pressure of gases born of long decay—any one of numberless phenomena might be responsible. And then, of course, the factor of conscious charlatanry can by no means be excluded. The thing was really quite simple in itself, and covered less than three minutes of actual time. Father Merluzzo, always a precise man, looked at his watch repeatedly. It started with a definite swelling of the dull fumbling sounds inside the black tower. There had for some time been a vague exhalation of strange, evil odours from the church, and this had now become emphatic and offensive. Then at last there was a sound of splintering wood, and a large, heavy object crashed down in the yard beneath the frowning easterly facade. The tower was invisible now that the candles would not burn, but as the object neared the ground the people knew that it was the smoke-grimed louver-boarding of that tower's east window. Immediately afterward an utterly unbearable foetor welled forth from the unseen heights, choking and sickening the trembling watchers, and almost prostrating those in the square. At the same time the air trembled with a vibration as of flapping wings, and a sudden east-blowing wind more violent than any previous blast snatched off the hats and wrenched the dripping umbrellas of the crowd. Nothing definite could be seen in the candleless night, though some upward-looking spectators thought they glimpsed a great spreading blur of denser blackness against the inky sky—something like a formless cloud of smoke that shot with meteor-like speed toward the east. That was all. The watchers were half numbed with fright, awe, and discomfort, and scarcely knew what to do, or whether to do anything at all. Not knowing what had happened, they did not relax their vigil; and a moment later they sent up a prayer as a sharp flash of belated lightning, followed by an earsplitting crash of sound, rent the flooded heavens. Half an hour later the rain stopped, and in fifteen minutes more the street-lights sprang on again, sending the weary, bedraggled watchers relievedly back to their homes. The next day's papers gave these matters minor mention in connexion with the general storm reports. It seems that the great lightning flash and deafening explosion which followed the Federal Hill occurrence were even more tremendous farther east, where a burst of the singular foetor was likewise noticed. The phenomenon was most marked over College Hill, where the crash awaked all the sleeping inhabitants and led to a bewildered round of speculations. Of those who were already awake only a few saw the anomalous blaze of light near the top of the hill, or noticed the inexplicable upward rush of air which almost stripped the leaves from the trees and blasted the plants in the gardens. It was agreed that the lone, sudden lightning-bolt must have struck somewhere in this neighbourhood, though no trace of its striking could afterward be found. A youth in the Tau Omega fraternity house thought he saw a grotesque and hideous mass of smoke in the air just as the preliminary flash burst, but his observation has not been verified. All of the few observers, however, agree as to the violent gust from the west and the flood of intolerable stench which preceded the belated stroke; whilst evidence concerning the momentary burned odour after the stroke is equally general. These points were discussed very carefully because of their probable connexion with the death of Robert Blake. Students in the Psi Delta house, whose upper rear windows looked into Blake's study, noticed the blurred white face at the westward window on the morning of the 9th, and wondered what was wrong with the expression. When they saw the same face in the same position that evening, they felt worried, and watched for the lights to come up in his apartment. Later they rang the bell of the darkened flat, and finally had a policeman force the door. The rigid body sat bolt upright at the desk by the window, and when the intruders saw the glassy, bulging eyes, and the marks of stark, convulsive fright on the twisted features, they turned away in sickened dismay. Shortly afterward the coroner's physician made an examination, and despite the unbroken window reported electrical shock, or nervous tension induced by electrical discharge, as the cause of death. The hideous expression he ignored altogether, deeming it a not improbable result of the profound shock as experienced by a person of such abnormal imagination and unbalanced emotions. He deduced these latter qualities from the books, paintings, and manuscripts found in the apartment, and from the blindly scrawled entries in the diary on the desk. Blake had prolonged his frenzied jottings to the last, and the broken-pointed pencil was found clutched in his spasmodically contracted right hand. The entries after the failure of the lights were highly disjointed, and legible only in part. From them certain investigators have drawn conclusions differing greatly from the materialistic official verdict, but such speculations have little chance for belief among the conservative. The case of these imaginative theorists has not been helped by the action of superstitious Dr. Dexter, who threw the curious box and angled stone—an object certainly self-luminous as seen in the black windowless steeple where it was found—into the deepest channel of Narragansett Bay. Excessive imagination and neurotic unbalance on Blake's part, aggravated by knowledge of the evil bygone cult whose startling traces he had uncovered, form the dominant interpretation given those final frenzied jottings. These are the entries—or all that can be made of them. “Lights still out—must be five minutes now. Everything depends on lightning. Yaddith grant it will keep up! . . . Some influence seems beating through it. . . . Rain and thunder and wind deafen. . . . The thing is taking hold of my mind. . . . “Trouble with memory. I see things I never knew before. Other worlds and other galaxies . . . Dark . . . The lightning seems dark and the darkness seems light. . . . “It cannot be the real hill and church that I see in the pitch-darkness. Must be retinal impression left by flashes. Heaven grant the Italians are out with their candles if the lightning stops! “What am I afraid of? Is it not an avatar of Nyarlathotep, who in antique and shadowy Khem even took the form of man? I remember Yuggoth, and more distant Shaggai, and the ultimate void of the black planets. . . . “The long, winging flight through the void . . . cannot cross the universe of light . . . re-created by the thoughts caught in the Shining Trapezohedron . . . send it through the horrible abysses of radiance. . . . “My name is Blake—Robert Harrison Blake of 620 East Knapp Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. . . . I am on this planet. . . . “Azathoth have mercy!—the lightning no longer flashes—horrible—I can see everything with a monstrous sense that is not sight—light is dark and dark is light . . . those people on the hill . . . guard . . . candles and charms . . . their priests. . . . “Sense of distance gone—far is near and near is far. No light—no glass—see that steeple—that tower—window—can hear—Roderick Usher—am mad or going mad—the thing is stirring and fumbling in the tower—I am it and it is I—I want to get out . . . must get out and unify the forces. . . . It knows where I am. . . . “I am Robert Blake, but I see the tower in the dark. There is a monstrous odour . . . senses transfigured . . . boarding at that tower window cracking and giving way. . . . Iä . . . ngai . . . ygg. . . . “I see it—coming here—hell-wind—titan blur—black wings—Yog-Sothoth save me—the three-lobed burning eye. . . .”
Let me tell you why the All Blacks will hold the World Cup aloft tomorrow morning. Plainly no-one can accurately predict the outcome of two evenly matched teams with such a deep and passionate history. But the men in black have the edge. The Springboks look gassed. They were hammered last week by England in a brutal game of 10-man rugby. Relentless trench warfare only paused with the obligatory punt from the first five has left the Boks battered. They have countered the debris of that pack whopping with a 7-1 split on the bench for tomorrows encounter, hoping they can roll in a second wave of goliaths to supress the AB forwards. This selection of course leaves them vulnerable in the back division, should one of their bigger numbers slump, help is thin on the ground to say the least. If it's halfback du Klerk early enough, South Africa will wilt. The trick for the All Blacks is threefold. Speed. Run the Bokke ragged. To engage these monsters in hand-to-hand combat is to play to their strength. With the ability to attack with great pace at furious angles at the sniff of a turnover, the AB side possess the ability to shred the cumbersome livestock of the SA pack. This they need to do from the outset. Out of the blocks like Usain Bolt. Accuracy. Precision in passing. Meticulous breakdown entry. Exactitude from the boot. Concise line out throwing. The ever-present menace of discipline shadows every breakdown, evocation of this demon would haunt whichever team dares to summon such a wanton spectre. Scott Barrett, I'm looking at you. The All Blacks are rested, have continuity of selection and entire rugby world to stick it too after reports of their demise echoed across the globe, reports which I believe have been grossly exaggerated. ABs 13 plus. That'll do. LISTEN ABOVE See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The last few weeks we have been in the book of Psalms, and we have seen God's purpose and hope for the world expanding out from Israel to the nations. Seeds that were sown from the very beginning of the Bible chart the path of salvation. A salvation that is not just a salvation for God's covenant people, but a salvation for every tribe and language and people and nation. As Jonathan summarized for us last week. Psalm 67 describes the blessing of all nations. Then, Psalm 68, shows that this blessing and salvation will come through a single king. Then comes Psalm 69. If read in succession, you would notice the abrupt turn that happens in Psalm 69. And at first glance, it would be easy to say that we have moved on to a new theme in the Psalms. However, as we will see, we are far from leaving the topic of the last few Psalms. Psalms 67 answers who will be blessed by God: the nations.Psalm 68 answers how they will be blessed: through a conquering king.Psalm 69 in turn will answer, How does this king conquer?Psalm 69 is written for a time of suffering and distress. It is an individual lament, which includes corporate aspects. It includes prayer for the righteous and curses for the wicked, both which find fulfillment in the new testament. With all that is going on in this Psalm, my hope for us this morning is to understand 3 things. First, the Problem, second, David's Prayer, and last, the Promise. So again 3 things, the problem, the prayer, and the promise. The ProblemDavid has been in an extended season of distress, and he is at the breaking point, he is just holding on and is pleading to the Lord for help. With vivid descriptions of his distress (v.1-3), David says: “The waters are rising and are up to my neck” “My feet are sinking in the muck, and I have no foothold” “I am weary from crying out, and my throat is dry and hoarse from my pleas” “My eyes grow dim as I wait for the Lord” Whether you have ever been literally in a situation like this or not, we all feel it. We intuitively can understand what that would be like. There is an utter helplessness here. David has been in distress for a while. It has reached a critical stage, not only is David stuck, but the waters have been rising up, they aren't at his ankles or his knees, they are up to his neck. His pleading thus far has gone unanswered. If the water goes any farther, or his feet sink any deeper, he will be overtaken by the flood and no longer will have the ability to cry out. David is nearing his last breath and cries out, “Save me, O God!” We can feel this distress, the panic and volatility of his predicament, lets dig in a little more to see what had caused such a distress of David. The cause of the distress Verses 4-12 show us two pieces here: the who and the why.The who of the distress are David's enemies.Verse 4, “more than the hairs on my head are those who hate me without cause, mighty are those who would destroy me, those who attack me with lies. What I did not steal must I now restore?” Verse 8, “I have become a stranger to my brothers, an alien to my mother's sons.” David's enemies aren't just out there, but he is a stranger to his own nation and brothers. His enemies are many and they are mighty. Those who are near him either stand at a distance or join in with the attacks against David. Verse 19, “I looked for pity, but there was none, and for comforters, but I found none.” Not only is the situation terrible, but he is alone in it.In addition to all that, David's suffering is not a private matter. Verses 11-12, “When I made sackcloth my clothing, I became a byword to them. I am the talk of those who sit in the gate, and the drunkards make songs about me.” From the officials at the gates, to the drunkards in the alley, David's situation is known. Psalm 22:7-8, “All who see me mock me; they make mouths at me; they wag their heads; He trusts in the LORD; let him deliver him; let him rescue him, for he delights in him!” David is also the talk of the town.As David humbles himself, laments and seeks God they develop sayings about him. His humbling of himself has become the occasion for further reproach. They are pouring it on.An example of this in sports would be a little extra push at the end, the extra nudge, the step over. It is not only a stab in the back, but the added twist. The why of the distress: Why do these enemies ridicule David? His destress is caused by His enemies because of his zeal for God.Some commentaries see David suffering here for his sin, but his enemies piling on. I think the main thrust of the Psalm is on David suffering for his zeal for God's House and God's Glory. David surely is sinful, but here it is not the cause of his suffering. Or at a minimum, David's sin is not in focus in this Psalm. I want to list 7 reasons I think this is the case, and then explain why it matters.1) In verse 4, there are 3 statements of David's innocence. His enemies “hate him without cause”, they “attack him with lies”, and he rhetorically asks “What I did not steal must I now restore?” Plainly, the accusations aren't true.2) In verse 5 David mentions that his folly and wrongs all are known by God.This verse functions as a defense in light of the false accusations in verse 4. I also think David draws strength from being known by God, not further condemnation.3) Verse 7, David says: “For it is for [God's] sake that I have borne reproach.”4) Verse 9, David says that zeal for God's house is his driving passion, it has consumed him.A passion which even flows out in his words against his enemies, for their wickedness in turn have consequences. Defend the righteous from the wicked. And the reproaches David is receiving are the same reproaches they have of God.5) David never repents in this psalm, which stand in contrast to others (see Ps. 51)Verses 10-11, David wept, humbled himself and put on sackcloth, which can be actions of repentance, but also actions of lament and mourning. For example, when Jacob's sons told him that Joseph had been killed by a wild animal, as well as when Mordecai hears of the decree to kill all the Jews, and he tears his clothes, puts on sackcloth and ashes, went to the center of the city and cried out with a loud. These are times of mourning and bitter providence, that often are attached to sin, not always.6) Verse 20, David says their reproaches have broken his heart. Which helps us understand his prayer in verse 6 and 7. David's heart, weakened by false accusations, explains his desire for others who hope in God to not be put to shame (v. 6-7). He is not in regret of past sin, but pleading with God that he would have strength to patiently suffer and wait for God's deliverance. He also may be concerned that they will be led away by the lies.7) The last reason is because of who speaks this Psalm in the new testament.David has suffered for a long time, with desperation, by himself, with others pouring it on and it is because of His love for God.Why does it matter? Because it is important for us to see that suffering for the sake of God is a common expectation for a follower of Jesus. David's lament was written for the community, they are to see themselves to some degree in the story, and he models how they should respond and what they should be concerned about.Difficulty in this life and displeasure from God are not the same thing. When things are tough, our internal dialogue can sound like this: Does he not see it? Does he not care? Or maybe he sees, but is he for me?Trial is not always because of our sin. We will suffer wrong from one another. We will be mocked or ridiculed by the world around us, because we love Jesus and follow him.David vocalizes what he, along with Israel, has experienced at times. They have seen others, like the Egyptians literally in situations like this, and now they feel it themselves. This expectation carries over into our experience. Those who desire to live a Godly life will be persecuted, especially when circumstances are difficult and the benefit of following God isn't readily apparent. In the world we will have tribulation, but with God we have grace and peace. In the world we will get less than we deserve, but with God we get much much more than we deserve. And because of God's love for us, we should be more concerned with honoring God than striving for relief.David humbling himself under God became another occasion for reproach from enemies. His heart is broken by them, and he is desperate. He may have been doing well for a while, but their constant attacks are starting to wound. Now entering round 9 of the fight, their punches are starting to land, his hands are feeling heavy, and the water is up to his neck. This is those extra shoves. He is struggling to not despair and does not want to quit his waiting for God. The description starts as a depiction of physical distress but the real distress here is the distress of David's soul. This desperation leads David again towards prayer. We've looked at David's problem, now lets look at his prayer.David's Prayer (v.13-29)Verse 13 stands in stark contrast with verse 12. Remember, David's suffering is the new saying and song. David is the talk of the town, and as they talk to one another, David is going to talk to God. And the amazing thing, is that despite the water being up to David's neck, his prayer is on the path to patience and trust.Verse 13, “At an acceptable time, O God, in the abundance of your steadfast love answer me in your saving faithfulness.” He asks by God's timing, God's character, and God's salvation.David, whose eyes are growing dim from waiting, will keep on waiting. But, his waiting does not prevent him from again asking for help in a myriad of ways: Deliver me! Answer me, hide not your face from me, ransom me, Draw near to my soul, let not the flood overtake me or the pit close around me.What was implicit earlier is explicit here, David isn't on the run from enemies and concerned about his physical life, he is concerned about the life of his soul. His prayer addresses all the things mentioned in verse 1-3, but God's nearness, his character his faithfulness and mercy are entering the picture.David doesn't just pray for himself, but he prays for the blessing of the faithful and the cursing of the wicked. It's not just defense of himself, but for defense of God's people, and God's name.He prays that the suffering of God's people, and the wickedness around them, wouldn't go unnoticed. As David prays against the wicked, he prays largely for poetic justice. Let them receive what they have done.“They gave me poison for food” so “Let their table before them become a snare.”“My eyes are dim in my faithfulness” so “may their eyes be darkened in their wickedness.”Let those who gave no comfort, have no comfort themselves. Those who deserted me “let their camp become a desolation.”Those who pile on reproach, may you pile on punishment. Those who do not yield in their persecution of the righteous, yield not in your punishment of their wickedness. If they will not leave their table let it be a snare. If they will not cease in digging a pit then let them fall into it themselves. Defend the cause of the righteous. Glorify your name.David is wrestling in prayer. He knows his desperate situation, he knows God is sovereign in it. He knows that his enemies are attacking him but ultimately God brought him to this position. He knows that God doesn't just overlook sin. He knows that God has a plan and has confidence in the end result. We see this from verse 13 and the assumption that God will “answer him with his saving faithfulness” to verse 29 where David asks for God's salvation to “set him on high” And we must remember that God's glory is his passion, not personal vengeance.David models how we should wrestle through suffering, even if it's because of our sin. He takes his problems and God's promise to him and pull them together. It's hard work of pulling those together in your soul not just your mind. When you don't know where to start or what to pray, pray about the problem and pray with God's promises and strive to pull those together. Strive to reconcile these in your heart and soul.David is pulling these together, and if David is pulling on God's promises, what are they? The Promise that leads to praise (v.29-33)The promise to David generally was that God would be faithful to him, and specifically that he would have an heir that would reign forever and usher in a good and everlasting kingdom. A king that would rule with equity & justice, doing God's will. You see that in his prayer.Verse 34 says the offspring of God's servants will inherit the land, and that offspring, that king, has come. What David saw from a distance, we have seen closely and clearly. There are 2 wondrous surprises that we can see from our place in history, a few thousand years later.First, that Jesus descended. I wonder if David thought, times are tough for me, but the Lord will redeem me and as I have walked through the valley, the future king to come will climb to the mountain top. Much like the first words of David in Psalm 68, “God shall arise, his enemies shall be scattered. And those who hate him shall flee before him.” David didn't just precede the path of the triumphant king, he foreshadowed the path of the triumphant king. He who ascended, first descended. He who will be exalted on high, first will be brought low and humiliated. It was not better times for Jesus, Jesus took on the full valley. The God who saved David from the valley walked a longer, deeper, darker valley himself. While carrying all our sin on his back. And he became the hope for the sinner and sufferer alike. We, like the new testament, are to see Jesus in Psalm 69. Jesus finishes the path through the valley of Psalm 69. The New Testament draws from this Psalm at least 7 times, 2 of which are places where Jesus took this Psalm on his own lips. Here are a few examples:Jesus says that “he was hated without cause”. As he clears the temple his disciples remembered it was written “zeal for your house has consumed me”. Jesus also was the talk of the town, and proverbs were spoken about himSome said: “Physician heal yourself” (Luke 4:23)Others mocked and said:“He who saved others cannot save himself” (Matt. 27:42)And on the cross Jesus said “I thirst.” And they give him sour wine to drink, to fulfill the scriptures.Jesus is a king, but he first was a King of the valley.Second, with the surprising route of the valley, Jesus came first with mercy instead of wrath. Jesus first comes with blessing for the sinner who repents. Salvation for any who love his name. David prays for justice, but Jesus comes to say “let mercy have its day”. He came first for the rescue of the nations. The curses aren't cancelled but are delayed, and they serve as warning for those who continue in wickedness. But right now, Jesus offers forgiveness and grace. He has carried our sin and can relate in our sadness or in our suffering. Not only does Jesus save wicked people like us, but he lets us share in the spoils of the victory. It is one thing to save sinners like us, which should stop our mouths right there, but still greater is to not only save us but to share his reward, his rule and his glory with us. That Jesus comes and says, “I'm with them.” “Those are my friends, that is my family.” That he will sit at the table and eat with us. They will possess my inheritance. And therefore, David, and the people will praise God. They will praise him while they are still in the valley. Because they know the end, they can celebrate victory in the midst of the battle, hope in the midst of the valley. And for us, there is no valley Jesus has not already been through. Jesus does see you, he does care for you, he enters into your suffering. He will keep you, and walk with you.God did not abandon David, he did not abandon Jesus, and he will not abandon us.So we, like David, can praise God in the midst of the valley. We are not yet home, but he will see us through, and we can in confidence praise Him now.The TableAnd this bring us to this table. Where Jesus reminds us and declares: “I am with them and they are with me.” They have a share in my covenant, in my inheritance. And at this table, we celebrate victory in the midst of battle. The promise is sure, so we will eat the bread, and lift up the cup of salvation, together.

Want to be distressed, look within myself, at my own power. Want to be defeated, look behind me, at my past. The enemy is happy to remind me of all my sin and mistakes. Want to be dismayed, look ahead, to the future. No one but God knows what will be. Want to be distracted, look around. There are plenty of things to keep our focus. Want to be delivered, sanctified, and transformed, then look up. Keep my eyes on Jesus. Article on better meetings called "Don't let the ‘Dominator,' ‘Downer,' ‘Derailer' or other derailing behaviors hijack your meeting!" Every train needs an engineer to keep it on track, and you can apply that principle to meetings, too. When you hold a meeting, consider yourself the engineer — the person who keeps the meeting moving forward and the purpose from being derailed. You may even have to deal with the “Dominator,” “Downer” or “Derailer,” but not to worry. We address that and more later in this story. Almost everyone has organized or attended a meeting that was derailed, and those off-track meetings can quickly become a costly time suck. Preparing for various scenarios and knowing the tools you can use will keep things on track. Manage for impact You don't want everyone pitching in at once, but it's valuable to encourage full participation from those attending so you can get to the outcomes of the meeting, and everyone feels fully engaged and their ideas heard. Use polls, hand-raising and breakout groups to ensure everyone is heard. If a group is particularly large, establish some rules to promote interaction. Call out quiet attendees so their perspectives are heard and seek out new perspectives that people may hesitate to share. Plainly tell people you want more guidance or feedback on certain subjects. Don't be afraid of quiet — meeting silence can be your friend! It may feel awkward, especially for virtual participants, but pause for eight or more seconds after certain questions. That will tend to prompt people to speak, even if only to fill the void. It can also break the tendency for one person to do all the talking. Managing derailing behaviors in your meetings You want everyone in the discussion but watch out for attendees who can reduce meeting effectiveness. Use these tactics to keep things moving in the right direction. The Derailer goes off on tangents and introduces new ideas without making a connection to the purpose. Tactics: Offer separate times to talk about issues that aren't the point of the meeting. Interrupt if you have to. Offer to set up a post-meeting talk. The Dominator interrupts, dominates the conversation and never asks anyone else questions. Tactics: Politely remind interrupters that everyone has to be heard for a broad discussion. Don't be afraid to jump in and tell Dominator that you want to hear the rest of what an interrupted person has to say. The Downer shuts down new ideas and exclusively points out what can go wrong. Tactics: Ask downer to suggest improvements rather than just saying something won't work. If you recognize any of these meeting derailing behaviors, you may also be familiar with the Distractor (Arrives late, has side conversations, multitasks), the Disappearing Act (Did they accept or decline the invite? Who knows?) and the Determined (Fixed on their view and is sure everyone should hear it). Wrapping it all up All good things must end and so must your meeting. If you've kept it on track, you should be able to wrap it up while offering some buffer time (close at 11:20, for example, rather than the stated 11:30). For any actions that need to take place afterward, clarity will go a long way. Don't say, “Someone should look into this.” Do say, “Richard, make sure this is done by 10 a.m. tomorrow.” Don't say, “We will keep this in mind.” Do say, “I will email everyone and give a decision on this within 24 hours.” If time has run out, still end the meeting. You can send a wrap-up afterward but say before shutting down the meeting – in-person, Teams or hybrid – that you expect everyone to acknowledge they got the message and understand what's next.
Celina, Texas Podcast: It's hard to imagine that a city poised to be the most extraordinary success story in recent Texas history is tearing itself apart at the seams. If one were to look at some of the popular Facebook Group Pages, one would likely believe that Celinans hate each other. But why? How could such a fantastic city have so much hate and vitriol? Well, this minor manufactured disease called "politics" tends to do that to communities, and it's sadly apparent that Celina isn't immune to this nasty disease either; especially when you have a Mayoral choice to make. But what makes this political season so strange is that the incumbent Mayor, Sean Terry, has held the position of Mayor for a decade -through all of the challenges on the path to becoming the "fastest growing city in Texas" and something no Mayor had faced before: COVID. So why is there any controversy at all over Sean Terry? Most would be grateful for the record-setting successes and the leadership demonstrated to overcome the pandemic as a community. But, oddly, that isn't the case. There is more polarization and "self-sorting" in Celina, Texas, than ever. And what is this division based on? Plainly put, growth. You see, there are two distinct factions in Celina today, one that prefers Celina grow and develop slower (if at all) and the other, a group that has come to terms with the fact that the growth is coming and who now seek to manage that growth. So how does this division in Celina, Texas, make for a Mayor that would be a first choice in most cities but seemingly hated by some in Celina? Because he is the "face" of development. Sean Terry is more than just the Mayor of Celina. He is also an employee of Centurian American, one of the largest developers in North Texas. Does it make sense now? The "build a wall around it and keep people out" crowd generally does not like Mayor Sean Terry, and the folks who see and love Celina's growth potential typically do like him. So how do you take down a popular Mayor, one with credentials that include leading a small farming community to the status of fastest growing city in Texas and leading that city through a pandemic? Easy. You turn them into a villain or a criminal. You know, you have to flip the script. But how? Well, that's not easy unless the FBI happens to show up at said Mayor's door to conduct a "raid." You know, helicopters flying overhead, smoke grenades going off, FBI Agents pounding on the door with Ninja masks on. It's a dark and sordid tale told many times to influence how people vote. But was it a "raid?" What really happened at Mayor Sean Terry's home when the FBI showed up? Even with an FBI "raid" and all the verbal theatrics one could heap on the story, you would still need more than that to take down a wildly popular Mayor (so popular that he didn't draw an opponent for many years.) That's where Mayor Sean Terry's employment comes into play. The story goes like this: since Sean Terry works for a developer, AND that developer has some projects in Celina, he MUST be on the take, right? Oh, and let's not forget to mention how often Mayor Sean Terry has to recuse himself as Centurion American moves to take over Celina in its evil scheme for world domination [cue the laugh of Dr. Evil in Austin Powers.] But wait, there's more. Gossiping minds want to know (or tell you) about how Sean Terry doesn't technically live in Celina -or at least his trailer isn't appropriately registered, so he MUST be in some sort of default, right? Here's the good news: Mayor Sean Terry chose to sit down with Host Ron Lyons (who was recently very much on the fence himself about Mayor Terry) and tell HIS story, the one free of hateful agenda and the one you are less likely to hear from the Mayor Sean Terry haters. Basically, "The Story You Weren't Supposed To Hear." But it's a story that you DESERVE to hear, and you can have that opportunity in this episode of Celina Radio. Mayor Sean Terry discusses everything from the FBI situation to his employment at Centurion American, the conflict of interest, his living situation and more. It may not be our typical fun episode, but it's an important one, -important for all of us. We hope you enjoy this episode of Celina Radio. Be sure to stay until the very end, as Host Ron Lyons provides a nice little break from the political nonsense of the day for some much needed unity and healing!
Jesus declared, for all the world to hear, that He is one with the Father. When we live by that truth, He will give us wings to fly. On this, the Wednesday episode of the podcast, we take a few minutes to dive into scripture together. We are currently walking through the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John chronologically as we study Jesus' life and learn what He wants us to know today. Today's scripture comes from John, chapter 10, verses 22-42, and we will be reading from the New Living Translation. Before we begin, let's pray. Dear Most Holy God, we thank you for the honor of being able to open your Word and meet with you in the Spirit at the same time! Father, you are so gracious to continually teach and lead us as we walk through this life. We do give this time to you and ask that you cleanse us of all unrighteousness so that we might be clean vessels with the ability to hear your voice clearly. I ask you to teach us what you want us to know today. We love and honor you. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen. We have been studying Jesus' teachings to the crowds as He walks closer to the His death. Jesus is trusting God's timing and path for Him, even though the crowds are getting riled up all around Him. Many are coming to Him in belief, but many are also turning against Him in anger. This alone should be a lesson to us. It is easy for us to want to make people happy – but our true calling is to live by truth. It can be so difficult to discern the right path when we long for life to be easy both for us and for the ones we love. But Jesus teaches us by His actions that we are to ALWAYS hold to God, ask Him for His wisdom and guidance, and then trust the outcome beyond a shadow of a doubt, even when it seems things are getting stirred up around us. John sets the scene for us beginning in chapter 10, verse 22… 22 It was now winter, and Jesus was in Jerusalem at the time of Hanukkah, the Festival of Dedication. 23 He was in the Temple, walking through the section known as Solomon's Colonnade. Hanukkah was a celebration of the restorarion of the temple after it had been desecrated. This is important because, as we will see, Jesus is about to publicly declare Himself as the Son of God, leading to a restoration of humanity through salvation. God's timing is always perfect. The more I study the Bible, the more I see God's perfect plan and provision throughout all of history. But even as the people celebrated the past restoration of the temple, many in the crowd were completely unaware that God was currently working in their midst orchestrating a greater restoration. Verse 24 continues… 24 The people surrounded (Jesus) and asked, “How long are you going to keep us in suspense? If you are the Messiah, tell us plainly.” The people were looking for a strong warrior to lead them into freedom from government and oppression. In essence, they were looking for a Messiah who could do far less than Jesus, our true Messiah, was there to do. Jesus had taught this over and over, but they just weren't getting it. God's kingdom was beyond their wishes and dreams. Verse 25… 25 Jesus replied, “I have already told you, and you don't believe me. The proof is the work I do in my Father's name. 26 But you don't believe me because you are not my sheep. 27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. A couple of weeks ago we discussed Jesus' declaration of Himself as the Good Shepherd. We uncovered that many were, and are, out to deceive and misguide us from following God. I know I have said this before, but it is of utmost importance that we EACH know that God is God and He will ALWAYS guide us into truth through His Word and His Holy Spirit. Let me say it plainly – if ANYONE contradicts the Word of God, he or she is not speaking truth – whether he is ordained, a church or ministry leader, or even your own parent. God has given us each the opportunity to know HIM personally. His Word is living and active and relevant to your life. God will never lie or go back on His Word. Yes, biblical counsel is a wonderful thing and we can certainly learn from each other, but God always has the final answer through His Word and His Spirit. God gives each of us the choice to connect with God and then to decide to follow Him or follow someone else. A shepherd CAN be deceptive, but God is our authentic shepherd. I say this not to make you paranoid, but to underscore that YOU are held accountable for your own actions. And God Himself will guide you and give you the strength to do what He calls you to do. Jesus says…I am the shepherd…my sheep listen to my voice. I know them, and they follow me. But…despite our foibles and misteps, Jesus then teaches of His abounding and amazing grace…saying…that once we say yes and become Jesus' sheep… No one can snatch them away from me, 29 for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else.[a] No one can snatch them from the Father's hand. What freeing and amazing words these are! When we give our lives to Jesus Christ and commit to living for Him, NO ONE can snatch us out of His hands! This should give us unadulterated freedom to do what God has called us to. In college, I took a lot of phsychology classes, and I remember so vividly studying and learning about abused children. The findings went something like this…people who are abused as children are less likely to move out of their childhood home at an appropriate age. It is more likely that the child who has been treated well to move out and face the world on her own. At first glance, this seems backwards. Shouldn't the one who is abused be clamoring to get away while the one who is covered and protected want to remain? But we are not logical beings. When we learn through mistreatement that “the world is bad,” we become shackled to fear. Our wings are clipped. But when we are showered with love and protection, we become empowered to become all we are called to be and to take on the world. The devil wants to hold you in, to clip your wings and keep you from flying. He uses fear to control you. Jesus, on the other hand, offers freedom. When you become His child, He empowers you to fly where you are called, and He promises that no one will ever snatch you from Him. And as far as you fly, as God's child you know He will NEVER leave you alone. He will always be there beside you with His love and protection. Then Jesus lays down the FULL truth of who He is, saying…30 The Father and I are one.” The Jewish people recited the schma regularly…which states “Hear, O Isreal: the Lord our God, the Lord is one.” They CLEARLY understood Jesus statement, “The Father and I are one,” to mean that Jesus is one in being with God the Father. Jesus spoke truth, even though this statement put His own human life in peril…verse 31… 31 Once again the people picked up stones to kill him. And Jesus continued speaking truth…fully understanding that His life was on the line, yet also understanding that there were some listening who needed to hear more… 32 …“At my Father's direction I have done many good works. For which one are you going to stone me?” 33 They replied, “We're stoning you not for any good work, but for blasphemy! You, a mere man, claim to be God.” 34 Jesus replied, “It is written in your own Scriptures[b] that God said to certain leaders of the people, ‘I say, you are gods!'[c] 35 And you know that the Scriptures cannot be altered. So if those people who received God's message were called ‘gods,' 36 why do you call it blasphemy when I say, ‘I am the Son of God'? After all, the Father set me apart and sent me into the world. 37 Don't believe me unless I carry out my Father's work. 38 But if I do his work, believe in the evidence of the miraculous works I have done, even if you don't believe me. Then you will know and understand that the Father is in me, and I am in the Father.” Jesus is the real deal. If you still don't believe Him and the words in the Bible, I want to encourage you to ask Him yourself. Ask Jesus to reveal Himself to you, and then watch expectantly. The people asked Jesus to PLAINLY state who He was. And He did. And then He also pointed to His works, which lined up perfectly with the works that Scripture clearly stated the Messiah would do. The people asked. Jesus answered. But many didn't pause to objectively consider His reponse. Instead, they followed what they had already determined in their heart was the right answer. How many times do we do that. How many times do we go to God and ask Him a question, only to misconstrue His answer to what WE want it to be? Jesus will NEVER force us to follow Him. But when we willingly follow Him, no matter how hard it may seem, I promise you He will give you wings to fly. Verse 39 tells us that many were not willing to fly. Instead, they chose to be chained to untruth. 39 Once again they tried to arrest (Jesus), but he got away and left them. 40 He went beyond the Jordan River near the place where John was first baptizing and stayed there awhile. 41 And many followed him. “John didn't perform miraculous signs,” they remarked to one another, “but everything he said about this man has come true.” 42 And many who were there believed in Jesus. When we listen to God, He will lead us to a place of safety. He will surround us with other believers who will love and support us. Jesus' life was more difficult than we can imagine, but God provided respite for Him. God gave Jesus a place to be re-filled, to remember and reflect on His goodness. God gave Jesus green pastures in which to lie down. And He will do the same for you and me. If we let Him. Jesus declared Himself the Son of God – in unity with the Father. This fact is such a blessing to us. Through Jesus' life and death, we are granted eternal salvation. The immediate future was scary for Jesus, but He considered the outcome worth it. That is something we should all remember. Although your road may look scary and bleak, you can trust that the God who loves you will give you wings to fly to an incredible outcome. Let's pray. Dear Jesus…we can't imagine all you went through for us…and yet we thank you for how strong you were. We thank you for holding close to God and walking in truth despite the effect of your own words and actions on your physical body. Jesus, you gave it all so that we could fly. We thank you, and we ask now that you infuse us with that same strength to choose the next right path – for you and for those you love. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

Some subjects are more important than others. No amount of discussing the best color to paint a room is likely to endanger the souls of anyone participating in the discussion or just listening to it, but the same cannot be said of discussion of doctrine and theology. When we handle the things of God, we are duty bound to be careful, to be clear, and to be true. Needless wrangling over terms and technicalities seldom benefits and often harms. But avoid foolish controversies, genealogies, dissensions, and quarrels about the law, for they are unprofitable and worthless. As for a person who stirs up division, after warning him once and then twice, have nothing more to do with him, knowing that such a person is warped and sinful; he is self-condemned. However, as Christians, we do have a duty to speak of God and His truth. In almost all cases, simple is best. Speak the truth, in season and out. And, of course, know when to hold your tongue. Let a fool hold his tongue and he will pass for a sage. Subscribe to the podcast here. Food packaging can make shopping a pretty difficult process. Packaging can be a blitz of marketing strategies, where fact and misdirection are hard to distinguish. Plainly put, food labels are often confusing for consumers. So what is the Food and Drug Administration doing about this? We're happy today to have Dr. Susan Mayne join us. She is the director of the Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition at the FDA. She has done a lot of work on this topic. Interview Summary Well, let's jump right in. The FDA already has a definition for the "Healthy" claim on food packages. So why does it need to be updated? You're right. We already do have a regulatory definition for healthy, but it's outdated and we need to update it to align with current nutrition science and the Dietary Guidelines for Americans. So for example, current dietary guidelines focus in on the importance of eating healthy dietary patterns and food groups that comprise them, the type of fat in the diet rather than the total amount of fat consumed, and limiting the amount of sodium and added sugars in the diet. The proposed definition is really consistent with that focus. What are some examples of foods that could change from healthy to unhealthy or the reverse under the new definition? Some examples of foods that could qualify under the new definition include things like healthier oils, like olive oil, and fatty fish like salmon that, under the older definition, had too much fat to qualify. Trail mix, for example, could also qualify as long as the ingredients don't make it too high in added sugar. When the previous definition of healthy was put out, we didn't have added sugar in the regulatory definition for that. Yogurt is another food that could qualify, but a lot of yogurt is highly sweetened so those products would need to meet our proposed limit for added sugar to bear that healthy claim. This could be really big news and a lot of important foods could shift categories. Let's talk about what this means for the actual words on package that a consumer might see. So if a food, before it would qualify for healthy claims and still does, or one now all of a sudden goes into that category, what kind of things can the company say? What kind of words would show up on a package? Our proposal here is to use that same term, "healthy," that can be used on food package labeling as it has been able to be used for the last couple of decades, but just give it a new meaning. And so one is the actual claim: "healthy." The other thing we are doing at the same time is we are doing research on a healthy symbol that could also be used on a food package. And the thinking here is that symbols on the front of the pack could serve as a quick signal again for consumers who are trying to make choices about what types of products could help them put together healthy dietary patterns. Once this definition is finalized, companies could use the term, the claim, they could use the symbol if we finalize a symbol that would go along with it. And again, these are meant to be quick signals for consumers for how they can help choose foods to build healthy dietary patterns. Now let me ask a little bit about the science of these kind of things. Given that there's so many things that are being said on packages, do consumers pay attention to these kind of things? Does it matter whether a product says "healthy" or not? Is there some risk that people, some people at least, will assume that if the word "healthy" is on it, it's not going to taste as good? How does this all work out in terms of impact on consumer purchasing decisions? Consumers definitely pay attention to claims and things that are on food packaging. When we finalize the updated definition for healthy, we also want to do some consumer education so that consumers really understand what this healthy claim would mean. So from our perspective, the updated definition that we have proposed means that foods that would bear that claim contain a meaningful amount of food groups that we're trying to encourage as part of the dietary guidelines. A meaningful amount of, for example, fruits and vegetables or whole grains or healthy oils or dairy, those are all food groups in the dietary guidelines. And those foods also would not have too much sodium, saturated fat, or added sugars. So, we would want to do education around that. But consumers can understand that choosing foods that bear that claim can help them put together healthy dietary patterns consistent with our dietary guidelines. So one, theoretically, could deduce all this information from the existing nutrition facts panel if one were to spend enough time looking at it. So why would it be helpful for consumers to have this additional information? One of the differences between the proposed definition for healthy and the nutrition facts panel is that the nutrition facts panel conveys really important information, but it's nutrients only. With the updated definition that we have proposed, that's giving consumers that these products contain a meaningful amount of a food group. And there is an additional piece of information that consumers would have, once we've updated the definition of healthy, that this contains a meaningful amount of the food group. What that means is you're getting all those nutrients that come along with that food group, including things that might not be included in the nutrition facts label. I'm imagining, as you proceed with this, that you involve various constituencies in the discussion. Scientists, obviously, who work on it, consumers, the food industry, etc. I'm interested in the challenges that the food industry faces in this. Are there things in particular that are important to them in this context? As we finalize this, there will be significant engagement. Even the proposed definition was following significant input and engagement. We held a public meeting on healthy before we ever came to this proposal. So now that we have a proposal out, we have a public comment period and we encourage people to comment, I know we'll get extensive comments coming in, and then we have to take into consideration all those comments before we finalize the definition for healthy. Thank you for giving that description. I guess the ultimate hope here is that a change in labeling practices will in turn affect consumer decisions about what to purchase and what to eat. And this, in turn, will have an impact on health. Is there reason to hope that that causal chain will actually take place? There is, and we know that food labeling can be a really powerful tool for change. It empowers consumers with information that they can use to choose healthier diets. That can be really helpful when people are comparing similar food products. But it's powerful in another way. In addition to helping consumers make good choices, labeling has the potential to make foods healthier because it provides an incentive for food manufacturers to reformulate. Our goal is to create a healthier default so that all food options get healthier. This is critical in our work to help create healthier diets and reduce diet-related disparities. So we do know about the power of labeling and one great success is our influence in virtually eliminating artificial trans fat from the food supply. After trans fat was added to the nutrition facts label in 2006, it led to an 80% drop in intake of artificial trans fat through consumers choosing different options and industry reformulating. We have since taken additional actions, and these artificial trans fats have now essentially been removed from the food supply, likely averting tens of thousands of cases of heart disease and stroke. We've also seen the restaurant and fast food industries are offering lower calorie options after we required calories on menus and menu boards. And as a third example, added sugars are now on the nutrition facts label, and we have already started to see industry introducing new lower sugar options and we're seeing the population's intake of added sugars declining. But there's still more progress needed here. But, I think those are key examples of the power of labeling to get to a healthier food supply and better public health. I'm really happy you brought up trans fats as a precedent, because that really was a huge victory and it involved the elimination of something altogether. And I remember, at the time, the industry said it would be terrible for them because they wouldn't be able to find alternatives and consumers wouldn't like the taste of the reconfigured products. But none of that turned out to be true and it probably reassured the industry as well as protected the health of the public. That was a great success story and it'll be interesting to see how it plays out with other things, like added sugar and salt. It's really nice that you're working on that and I really appreciate you talking about some of the things that FDA is doing. And thanks for your work as a public servant, I really appreciate it. It's my pleasure. We are very committed to public health and nutrition at FDA, and these are some of the tools and some of the approaches we're doing to get to just that. Red Pill Revolution started out with me, realizing everything that I knew, everything that I believed, everything I interpret about my life is through the lens of the information I was spoonfed as a. Religion, politics, history, conspiracies, Hollywood medicine, money, food, all of it. Everything we know was tactfully written to influence your decisions and your view on reality by those in power Now, I'm on a mission, a mission to retrain and reeducate myself to find the true reality of what is behind that curtain, and I'm taking your ass with me. Welcome to the Revolution, All. All right, let's jump into it. The very first thing that we're gonna discuss today is going to be the legal drugs that are on the ballot. This is coming from Vice News and it says, Here's where legal drugs. Are actually on the ballot, and we'll go ahead and check in on those and see how they're actually doing. But this article goes on to say that five US states could legalize recreational marijuana and another state could legalize psychedelics after Tuesday's midterms, which would make cannabis legal in about half of the country. It all use cannabis is on the ballot in Missouri, Maryland, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Arkansas. All five states currently have medical cannabis, and if they go recreational, but join another 19 states in Washington d c. That's pretty wild that Washington DC is a legal recreational state, but you can still get, you know, literally where the lawmakers are. Just puffing it up like Snoop Dog, which we'll talk about in a minute, , but at the same time, passing federal laws about Schedule one marijuana. Pretty. That's pretty crazy. So 19 states will go, uh, total, um, are current. Medically or, or recreationally legal. But these other states, which is now five, more of them currently have it on the ballot. So we'll see how that shakes out. Uh, we'll look and check and see where those are at. Goes on to say that the votes mostly in states that skew Republican come after a month of President Joe Biden announcing he was pardoning everyone, federally and by everybody. They made nobody. Says that it was convicted of a simple cannabis possession, which he didn't know. There's literally nobody in jail, uh, for simple possess. But it goes on to say that here I said the measure impacted about 6,500 people, which the White House stated though no one is currently in federal jail for simple weed possession, Missouri's amend three could legalize possession of up to three ounces. That's a lot of weed. Uh, but violations of the new rules would still face civil penalties, including $100 for smoking up in. I like how it says smoking up Maryland's question. Uh, four would legalize an ounce and a half for adults, 21 and older, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Arkansas. I'll have it on the ballot. And then Colorado, which legalize it over a decade ago, may become the second state to legalize psychedelics. If residents vote to create the neutral or natural medicine health act, that would be awesome. The measure would allow for magic mushroom treatments at psilocybin healing centers, and would legalize growing, possessing and using shrooms. It would also decriminalize mes. Iga, uh, which is an African shrub and is used as an experimental addiction treatment. And DMT Durham, if Denver legalizes dmt, that would be crazy. Wow. I wonder where they're, that, where they're at on that, you know, how, how do we look at that? Um, let's go ahead and, and pull this up here. The, the website that I'm using for majority of this to check in on some of. Situations as, uh, real clear politics. I don't think that they're gonna have that ballot on here, but we can check it in a different way. So let's go ahead and look it up here. Uh, Denver. Let's see if we can find the name of it, cuz then we'll be able to actually pull it up and discuss it. But that's pretty crazy if they legalize DM. I began psilocybin, That would be the first of that as far as I'm understanding the natural, what is it called? The Natural Medicine Health Act. Let's see. Natural Medicine. So currently as it stands, there is a 65% yes vote for Denver's. Psychedelic laws including dmt, psilocybin, igan. That is crazy. That would be so wild if you could go to Denver and just legally do DMT and, and grow a, I mean, that would. There, there's a real case study for how many people are go going to, you know, real interest, I should say, to see how many people would actually move there for that, because I think you would find a whole industry there and I would be really actually excited to see it. I don't partake in those types of things. That specifically myself. It's a little, uh, you know, I think there's some steps that you take before you start doing DMT and one of them being psilocybin, but haven't done that either. And, uh, I, I think that you would find a whole cultural movement going on surrounding that. I think what you would find is a lot of people would begin to be interested in it when it's not so demonized. And that could spread the same way that Denver spread the recreational marijuana culture and was like, Hey guys, this isn't. Bad. Maybe we should stop throwing people in jail forever for, you know, doing, you know, eating something that grows off the ground. I think there's a case for that. That's one I'll be watching closely. Cause I think that's crazy. That's Proposition 1 22. Currently standing at 70,000 votes for 38,000 against. Very interesting. All right, so let's go ahead and move on. The next thing we're gonna. And actually let's, let's listen in here to this Russell brand video that I have loaded up and waiting and just see. His Russell brand always has a unique approach on things. It's always kind of a good, not conspiratorial, not Republican, not Democratic or Democrat, not libertarian. He has a very interesting mix of, of perspectives. All of these issues. So I always appreciate listening to him. I've said it in the past, you know, I, I think that I align to be a little bit more, uh, you know, Shorthaired Russell brand than, uh, younger Tucker Carlson So that's kind of, that's my hope for this podcast anyways, is, is not to be a traditional, you know, conservative talking head, although you will find that in many issues today. That is where I align because just the left is so crazy on. All of their issues that are, uh, hot button topics that it's hard not to disagree with them on almost all of it. Even, even when you get into some things like financially, when we get into. Conversations surrounding the actual use useful of the government. I tend to differ quite considerably from the conservative party, which I think the less government, the better in almost all cases. That's, that's my opinion. Almost all cases. Maybe not the military, maybe not the laws, but almost everything else, the government sucks at it. Trust me, when I was in the military, , when I was in the military, I remember back they had a bowling. On base and they literally had a monopoly in the area. You can, There was only one of these things, there was only one bowling alley it shut down because it was ran so poorly they couldn't even do that. Right. And have a literal monopoly on the area and they sold drinks and beer and all of that good stuff and still couldn't to a bunch of military members keep it alive. It's cra it's, it's so crazy. All. Let's go ahead and Marsh's clip Russell Brand on the election. If you are saying that this election is to save democracy, then democracy is already over cuz you've only got one option. It's a self defeating argument. It's like saying that there is only one Democratic option and that is. Plainly a, a form of ideological tyranny. I mean, nine 11 was a tragedy. We lost thousands of lives in a horrific way, and we still mourn to this day. But when you look at something that is an attack on democracy, something that could actually bring about a fundamental change to American governance as we understand it. Nine 11 is nothing compared to January 6th. It's always like, we'll go back to nine 11. Cause that's the worst example that they can kind of think of. Doesn't seem very helpful to escalate conflict in the manner that they do, except unless, of course you look at it from the perspective that regardless of whether you vote for Republicans or Democrats, the ultimately powerful institutions will remain un. So there you go. And I, I think that's an interesting perspective is that if, if this is the only option that we have to save our democracy, that means that our democracy is fundamentally already flawed. Right. If, if we don't have any other way of, of improving upon the state of our nation, other than the singular election, which I think a lot of people are hoping, you know, you've heard this term a lot, the red wave, that this is just gonna really, and, and hopefully in some way, it's a reality check, right? I, I, I've talked about this before, is like when you get negative social feedback, you te like if you're just an, an asshole of people and everybody keeps their mouth shut, then you'll. Being a jerk to people constantly. But if you get negative social feedback, right, and there's like, um, a lot of people are very passive. I tend to not be very passive . Uh, but when, when somebody does something that's rude, if somebody shuts the, you know, doesn't hold the door for me in front of me and it shuts right on my face, you know, or, or I hold a door for somebody and they don't say thank you and just walk right past me like they deserved for. Open the door for them. Then, you know, I'm like, Oh, you're welcome. You know, I'm the guy that who says, You're welcome when you don't say thank you, , because that's negative social feedback, right? If somebody does something polite for you, you should return the favor and say thank you. I always say thank you. When somebody holds the door for me, I always, you know, say, you're welcome. When they say thank you, it's just a social contract, right? So if you walk right past me, don't even look at me like your Queen Elizabeth. Rest in peace. Not yet. Maybe, I don't know. I don't know. But , if you're her and you walk past me, you know, and you don't say thank you. Maybe she's expecting that from how she grew up. But if you're not her, maybe you should say thank you. So negative social feedback I think is important. And I think this is, this election is a form of that it, and that's what, at least what people are hoping is that there's negative social feedback to counter the ideological radicalism that we've seen recently. And I think that's an important thing for people on the left to see is like when, or, or, or at least politicians and people who are hoping to win these elections is when you can. To the radical side of the general population. You don't need to win the radical side. And they, they've, One thing that I think we've seen along this election is there's been a really big topic of Roe v. Wade and abortion coming up, and I think that was a way to incite the left to show up to vote on a singular issue rather than on the political party or individual who's in front. So when, when you see, you know, Proposition three is something I've been talking about a lot in Michigan is that when, when that is something that is the only issue that somebody cares about. They framed it in a way, in the way that it was framed with Proposition three. It's like, Oh, reinstate Roe is like, No, you're not. You literally are not reinstating. Roe Roe is a, a decision to return the power to the states. It was never a mass like celebration of abortion up to the day of birth. That's not what it was. It was saying that federally you no longer get the. And you can't implement that at a state level. That's literally what Ro Roe v Wade was. And so all of the signs that were on proposition three always said reinstate roe. Right? And, and that's not what you're doing, but what they're trying to do is to incite the general public into believing that that's what's happening through that proposition. And by doing so, getting them to show up to vote on that singular issue, and as a result, getting them to show up for everything else cuz they know they're gonna go. Ticket Democrat, regardless of the individuals or, or decisions that are made. One thing I really hope, but I'm not unbelievably hopeful on, you know, I hope for, but am not too, too confident in, is the Whitmer Dixon ticket right now. Currently Whitmer sits at 52% Dixon sitting at 46%. Hmm. And getting in third place by. Our very small margin is the libertarian. I think that's sad. You know? I think it's sad that Libertarians just have no choice. No, no, no opportunity. I think that's another thing that Russell Brand is saying there is like when you only have a two party system, and in that two party system you only have one candidate, and that candidate's basically set in front of you and you're choosing between one one A or one b. Not one or two even. You're choosing between what, what is presented to you by the very people that are behind the curtains, Right? When you, when you're looking at the circus show of Federman and Oz that is going on right now, it's like, this is the best that you guys have. This is it. This is, this is the, the best people that you could present is somebody who's. Seemingly actually mentally handicapped and a fake doctor who's been on the TV shows for a while. Like, that's, that's who you presented to us. I, I just, it's so wild to me that we are stuck with 1:00 AM one B. Right. And that's, again, Russell Brand's point there that I think's important to point out. Is it shouldn't be one A, one B. It should. It should be an actual and, and at the very least, let those options be viable. Don't let them be idiot one, idiot two, which it's been in a lot of cases there. There is incredible people out there right now, incredible, intelligent, charismatic people who deserve to be voted for. I would say very few of them are currently on tickets right now. I really haven't heard of too many people that I'm like just awestruck by their ability to speak to audiences or their leadership capabilities or, you know, I just, I don't see it. Maybe I'm wrong, but I just, I don't see it. So there's 37% reporting right now in Michigan. Again, by the morning we'll have this answer, but. Currently as it stands, it looks like Whitmer is currently leading, but she was leading by a fairly large margin at the very beginning when they're counting those mail-in ballots and now it's starting to close up. I do not like Whitmer. It is starting with her fake little, uh, you know, when she. It got kidnapped by their random rednecks where, you know, 10 of 'em or something like that. And nine of them ended up being FBI to the point where they were, the whole case got thrown out because the nine or eight FBI agents coerced the other one or two random guys because they were all wearing flannel just to get in the van and go somewhere with them. . I dunno, It was something like crazy like that. And so, I don't know. I, I just think. Through all of the pandemic. She was a nightmare to. As a governor, so I, I, I really do, am looking forward to potentially her not being the person in office. Now, moving forward, the next thing we're gonna talk about is Chris Pratt, Kim Kardashian, Katie Perry, Snoop Dog, Gwyneth Ptro, all flaunting the fact that they're voting Republican on social media. And this brings up a very. Interesting point of what is going on. The red wave, and that's where it really starts, is socially, once it becomes cool and it started to become cool, like the old school Republican was like a random 59 year old white business man. That's always been the perspective, right? That's always the idea. But I think when Trump got into office, it started to become cool again, to be Republican, right? The ideas of going against the machine, the, the ideas that were formally liberal of going against the machine, of going against the man of, of going against the, uh, the elites of the world. At some point, it's shifted, right? The liberal party, the, the Democratic. Are no longer the ones fighting the man. They're the ones like literally getting Pfizer tattooed on their neck because they just can't wait for their next booster shot. They're, they're the ones who are screaming from the, their top of their lungs for daddy government to shut down their businesses and, and mask their faces as they walk into federal buildings and mandate that you and I. Vaccines. That's, that's who they've become. They're no longer the cool hippie Woodstock democrats or liberals who, who wanna push back against the man, who wanna push back against the, uh, war machines, who wanna push back against the medical industrial complex that is not the Democratic party anymore. The Democratic Party is a bunch of sad, like people who who want. Abdicate the responsibilities of their lives to somebody that they feel not even has their best interest, but has a direction they're going because they don't wanna pick one themselves besides one that they're spoonfed. Right. And the, the Republican party has Republicans in general, the right. Has dealt with so much backlash, so much, so much censorship, so much talking down to so much, literally losing your job for holding beliefs that are specific to a political party for the last however many years. Right. And I think again, that's the hope. That's the hope of this election is that, that that's shown here and, and hopefully through the social movements of Chris Pratt, Kim Kardashian, Katie Perry, back in Caruso for mayor. It, it drives the point home It, it makes that social feedback of like you guys have gotten so fucking crazy that normally people who would always. Left, or at least not even speak out about it. Like Chris Pratt has kind of kept his beliefs to himself, but everybody kind of knows that Chris Pratt's the only allowable Republican in Hollywood that people really love. For some reason, Chris Pratt's just like really pulled it off. , Uh, but let's go ahead and read this. It says, Los Angeles Mayor. Hopeful Rick Caruso may be a political newcomer, but he's enjoyed considerable support from some of Hollywood's a-list celebrities. Now Guardians of the Galaxy's leading man, Chris Pratt has thrown his weight behind the controversial candidate. Caruso is a, I like how they called controversial. Caruso is a Democrat running against the US rep, representative Karen Bass. California. He thought he once registered as a Republican. The billionaire developer is a public figure in Los Angeles who edged out another competitor in the cramped June 7th primary Former Democrat or is a Democrat once registered as a Republican. So, so this is like the half ass way that they can do it. so I was wrong. Not a Republican, but was once maybe a little bit Republican and that's why it's so controversial. Uh, Chris Pratt announce his endorsement in the post on Instagram. I've lived in LA for 20 years. It's been great to me. The movie Star wrote on Sunday and that time I've seen many residents. I've seen what many residents here have seen. Oh my gosh, it is 1130. Um, the city's gradual decline in the pain and utter disarray. If you live here, you know exactly what I'm talking about. I don't normally support political candidates, but in this election there's too much to lose pr. Add to that, if you're an LA voter, I urge you to vote for Rick Carus. Uh, Caruso la I, I assume it's not Caruso . He's a builder. He knows how to get shit done. He's the guy for our city, Rick Caruso, for La Mayor Pratt has largely stayed mom on this past political meeting. Some on social media, slammed him in 2020 for allegedly being the supporter of them. President Donald Trump, Although a Newsweek fact check from October, which must be right of that year, had ruled that the claim to be unknown. Meanwhile, other legendary celebs back in Cruso include rap, uh, rap dog, rap icon, Snoop Dog, Reality star, Kim Kardashian. You mean Porn Star and Oscar winner? Gweneth Paltro. Snoop O is em empathetic about his preference for LA Mayor saying during one news clip earlier this year, I endorsed the real and that is real. Gweneth Paltro has a video and there you go. Pratt has largely kept his political preferences under lap, under wraps, but some of the Marvel co-stars are more outspoken. Yeah. We know Mark Ruffo is the biggest dweeb ever. Uh, and that's what we got there. So again, I think that brings up an interesting conversation. I think that that's where we're going to start to see it. If it starts to become pushed within and, and that's where they really lose, They've already lost 51 60% of the public's vote in these last few years. But if Hollywood celebrities like Chris Pratt, start to make Hollywood able to speak out in these things, because apparently there's a lot of like under wrap celebrities who are actually more right leaning than they would lead you to believe. But if that becomes cool, I would be really surprised if, you know, the Democratic party doesn't have a real problem on their hands. All right, let's move on. Let's kind of, uh, get, maybe get an update here, but, all right, let's touch on this Maricopa County. Is being sued by C Lake after hiccups, hiccups at Arizona voting locations. So there's been some interesting conspiracies if you're into that sort of sort of thing about election fraudulent activities, which may or may not happen. I'm not saying they do, and of course they don't. If this is on YouTube, there's no way. That anything could happen that would cause the election to sway. And they're always perfectly accurate and there is never, never any shenanigans. But this is something that people are talking about, so we might as well talk about it here and if it was real, which it's not. It does bring up a really interesting conversation. So this goes on and say the campaigns for Republican gubernatorial can. Gubernatorial. Wow, that's such a fun term. Uh, Kerry Lake, US Senate candidate Blake Masters and the Republican National Committee are suing Maricopa County Arizona after issues with voting tabulation machines. And we're gonna watch some of the actual videos of this going on in just a minute, and it goes on to say the G O P lawsuit seeks to keep polls open until 10:00 PM. Which immediately got shut down. I'd also asked the state court to instruct the in inspector at every polling station that voters whom the EPO have recorded as having previously voted in the election must be permitted to complete and cast a provisional ballot. Fox News previously reported Tuesday that many polling sites in the county were experiencing problems. Unfortunately, we have had some hiccups with about 20% of these Tabulators, Chairman of me Hope aboard of supervisors. Bill Gates told Fox. Chairman to the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, Bill Gates. Okay, so not Bill Gates. Bill Gates, Different Bill Gates. Just a terrible name to have during these times. you're like, Bill Gates said, What about voting tabulation machines? No, he said nothing. This guy's some random guy who hasn't the unfortunate happenings of having Bill Gates name. Uh, as Gates said, the issue happened when people tried to run their ballots through the Tabulators, but had the ballots spit back out. All right, so here's some of the videos that you'll see coming out of Arizona in Maricopa County is some very, very frustrated voters, and here we. Two tabulators, one of the tabulators is not working. Okay? The other tabulator is taking about 75% successful to that. So 25% of them are being misread and it could be a printer issue, um, or it could be the TABULATOR itself. So when it's misread, you have an option to put it into what's called box. And it gets read. Whether it goes downtown and gets read in annually or whether it gets re fed in, into our tab, you don't worry. So that is a poll worker explaining how their stuff is not working. , it's like, how, how? How long do we have to do this? Like we would be much better off in some second or third world country in this, in this matter, Like we've taken technology. We have, if you look at these polling machines, when I sat and made my vote today, you look at these polling machines and it's like embarrassing how old these things look for how, I don't know. We have vehicles driving themselves, but we can't get a machine. Properly tally like we had scantrons 20 years ago, or whatever, when I was in first grade, uh, that were reading our answers. Nobody was going through and tallying them like, we've had this technology for decades and we're still having issues with this. It's, it makes zero sense, zero sense at all that we're still having issues with these voting tabulation. And again with the blockchain, I assume I'm not a blockchain specialist over here, but I assume there is absolutely some way we could utilize cryptocurrency type blockchain to verify the votes that are happening on EF damn phone. Everybody pulls out their phone. Everybody vote. The day of the election by showing they are who they are, uploading a document, verifying identity, and somehow through the madness that is the blockchain. It's probably a very vague term to the people who actually know what they're talking about here. Uh, but there's some way that we can have it be verifiable, much more verifiable than what we're doing here with these random companies. And I say random, but they're probably owned by the very people who are giving us one A and one B options in this case. And if you know who I'm talking about, you know who I'm talking about, The George Soros, the Rockefellers, the World Economic Forums of the World, all are the ones who somehow manage to fund almost every candidate on almost every side, and also somehow own some of the largest stakes in the voting tabulation machines and their companies and their shell. And they're Shell's, Shell's, companies, , possibly. So yeah, let's go ahead and watch the next video because that's, uh, that's what we got here. Let's go ahead and, and check it out because there's some interesting perspectives that are going on from the, from these poll workers who are just blabbing their way through these issues. Yeah, I'm at the North Scottsdale United Methodist Church on, uh, Tuesday, November the eighth election day, and it's 10 33. Uh, I've tried to vote and neither machine in there. Neither ballot machine will accept ballots. There's numerous people in line and every time it's either rejected or misread and they said there's a Dropbox we can put it in. They said it will be counted. And the problem with this is that they're primarily always in conservative areas. Almost always. Isn't that interesting, right? That in just the areas that are conservative, the ballot machines seem to, I don't know, not want to read ballots. That seems like a problem. , who am I? Currently, as it stands, it is now 1135 Eastern Time. The Senate is being held by 46 Republicans, 45 Democrats. Uh, the house is at 177 Republicans to 134. Democrats, Governors 24 to 14 and. As it stands now, uh, Dixon is making some ground, 51% to Whitmer, 47% to Dixon, and let's see, with some other ones, 56% to Hobbs and 43% to Lake in Arizona. Interesting, interesting, interesting. And obviously Hobbs is the Democrat, Carry Lake is the Republican, and that's the exact place where this Maricopa County issues were. You know, one of the, and that's at 50% of the total votes being recorded at this point. Uh, Michigan's votes are at 40%, but. Seemingly making some ground. All right, let's go ahead and watch the next video here of them explaining again from a different perspective what they think is going on. Put it in there. Yeah. And tonight a Republican and a Democrat will sit and go through all of the misread ballots all over the county. Okay. And count them and it will get counted. Okay. And both machines were not working yet? No. Nothing's working in the last half hour. Nothing. Thank you. Nothing's working. That that is the whole point. These things are here. Is for them to work. What do you mean? Nothing is working. That's gotta be the most frustrating thing to hear ever. Oh. Oh. Nothing is working. Not, not just we're having some issues, just no, literally nothing is working . That is so crazy. And then on the backs of that, there's this Project Veritas video that just came out, which was explaining that, you know, she said, Oh, there, there's these Democrats and these a Democrat and they Republican. With zero margin for error in those political leanings are going to sit down and read these ballots and with perfect precision, give their feedback and. Mark everything correctly because no human ever has purposefully made mistakes. So here's this video. I just dropped it, airdropped it to my computer here, uh, and we'll watch it. This, here's the Project Veritas video of somebody to work and change the system. Jump jumped the gun a little bit, but now I'll be able to turn it down for you guys. Uh, this is a. Uh, Donald Skynyrd, a Republican affidavit inspector, talking about how he's not actually Republican and how he scammed the system to be considered Republican. Meanwhile, this woman is sitting there going, Oh, it's just a one Democrat and one Republican for sure. Nothing weird going on here. They're for sure gonna read it 100% accurately and let's prove 'em wrong via Project Veritas. So here, Go from what they signed. It had to be a Republican. Yeah, I'm a Republican, but I'm a Democrat. I'm only Republican cause of this job Here in New York City, we met a man, perhaps a sleeper democrat, who got a job as an election inspector for the Republican Party in the Bronx. A rare sighting. Indeed. If you know anything about New York politics, watch how he tells their undercover journalists that he votes as a Democrat, but got a job as a re. Each party in New York picks their own observers, and somehow this guy, Donald Skinner, senior, got the job. I'm a Republican, but I'm a Democrat. So why I, Yeah, I, I'm only Republican cause of this job. What do you mean? Uh, in order for me to work, I had to be a Republican. Why? Cause it was the only one that was giving up to jobs at the time, and all the Democrats had all these spots filled. So I had to be, if I wanted to work and change the system. This side, it had to be a publican. Yo. Is there a lot of people like that? Yes. Excuse me. Oh, his name tag says he was an affidavit inspector for the Republican party. New York State law says there must be at least two inspectors. One from the Democratic Party and one from the Republican Party. Oh, nothing to see here if your ballot doesn't go in the right way. Well, you have one Democrat and another Democrat who's gonna sit here and read these ballots perfectly with precision without any bias whatsoever. You know, like being the complete opposite political party to begin with. Now, imagine two Democrats sitting there reading. And deciding what was actually on the ballots of these ones that weren't going through in a primarily Republican district. And that's all it takes is two people. You don't need this massive conspiracy of people and moving parts we're not, you know, if Naso Space mission never happened, too many people would know. Yeah, probably didn't happen, but. In this case, it's that much easier. It's that much easier here. You don't have to have a hundred thousand people in New York who, who help to make these things, These, these political parties sway or the political, uh, ballots change. You have two people, right? And in this case in Arizona. Oh, nothing to see here. We have a Democrat and a Republican. Even though the Republican might be an undercover. That's all he needed to get the job. That's so crazy. And this woman sitting here, you know, we'll go back to that in just a second saying that, Oh yeah, no problem. Nothing to see here. It's just all not working. Donald says the only way he can change the system is to pretend to be a Republican. I'm only Republican cause of this job. If I were to work and change the system from inside and to be recovery. Yep. There you have it. And what a wonderful job, as always, from, from Project Veritas. They always do great stuff. All right, so, uh, let's see, Uh, let's see what's going on with Pennsylvania right now, because I, the Federman Oz situation is, well, you know, we'll give one little update here. See if Denver's, uh, 1 22 has any updates too. Such an interesting situation there. Uh, currently sitting 64% to 35% or 35,000, 70,000 to 35,000, 64% to 35%. Wow. Crazy. All right, let's go ahead and check it on Pennsylvania. And see where they are at too, because that Oz Federman debate should literally be a reality show. Like, if you've ever seen a, a great, uh, a great movie with Zach Galinas called The Campaign It's the such a hilarious play on modern politics where he like punches the baby in the face. It's , it's amazing. Um, but anyways, there is your check-in. Let's see if we have. Any other information going on here that we want to touch on prior to moving on? I know it's a little bit of a quicker episode today, but you. I don't wanna sit here and update you guys, because tomorrow you'll know more than me. But here is just the, the interesting conversations surround the ELE surrounding the election that I found. So let's go ahead and maybe we can drop in and see if there's anything else going on here. Uh, let's do a double take on where we're at with Proposition three with Michigan. And again, if you didn't know what that was, that was something regarding, uh, it was under the guise of abortion rights, but really, uh, is. Changing of the Constitution of Michigan State laws to supersede all other state laws regarding the sexual, uh, sexualization basically of, of giving children the right to, uh, be taught sex education without parental consent or being able to pull their children out of the class. Allowing for, uh, women to have abortions up until the time and date of pregnancy as long as they say that they're having a, a mental health issue, which, you know, all women days away from giving. Probably have some sort of large amount of stress on them, I assume . And by assume, I mean I have a wife who has had three of my children, so I know there's a tremendous amount of stress on women at the time. But anyways, I digress. So, It'll be interesting to see how this plays out. Thank you guys for listening today. That is what I have for you. There is your updates on all things election shenanigans, including, You know, what we touched on was the celebrities coming out and supporting a Democrat who was once a Republican, which is about the craziest thing that you'll see because they would never support a Republican. That would be, call that crucification. Uh, they would be all but what's happening to Kanye West right now? Uh, and then we see some of the actual ballots that are going on between that. Denver one's crazy to me. I'm, I'm really, really surprised to see that on the ballot. I'm gonna be watching that one closely and we'll have to do a follow up. But, uh, anyways, guys, thank you so much for listening. I hope you have a wonderful day. Go check out the results if you are listening to this. Hopefully they're all in by the time you are listening. And we will be doing another episode this week. So stay tuned. Go head over to repo revolution.co. The loss of life is nothing short of devasting. It can't be fathomed nor surmised with words. Plainly put, there is a pain that is inexplicable. Pregnancy and infant loss is a focus of October Awareness and one I can't leave out. Rachelle was living the California Dream. Married in her earlyish 20s, she and her husband decided to wait to start their family. Yet, when they were ready, they faced the tough hurdle that maybe it wasn't meant to be. After two miscarriages (plus the loss of her father), Rachelle took some time to soul search. Once ready to attempt to grow her family again, she discovered a rare gene mutation (as well as sperm issues) were the probable cause of her pregnancy losses. But there was a silver lining, had had GOTTEN pregnant, and likely could again. What was also interesting, is the timing of these conceptions: when her--and her husband's--diet was clean, conception occurred. Delving deeper into research and doctor appointments, Rachelle discovered her MTHFR gene mutation had a low tolerance for any toxic influx. Now, Rachelle strives to live a toxin-free life and she courageously shares her journey to help other individuals get through in the devastation of loss, knowing there can be a rainbow on the other side or pain. This mind blowing story may be late, but definitively worth the wait and tech issues! Please pardon any hiccups or delays. TRIGGER WARNING: This conversation discusses miscarriages and touches on suicide. Overt: Done or shown openly. Plainly apparent. Covert: Not openly acknowledged or displayed. Veiled, secret or hidden. Military operations are conducted either out in the open, with part of the aim being a display of capability, or are conducted in darkness and secrecy, aiming to keep the enemy unaware or unsure of what has been done. Your team have all conducted both overt and covert operations during their time in uniform, and are all familiar with techniques and methods for success with both styles. During this conversation, they aim to bring this concept of open vs hidden operations into the personal domain. What should be conducted in public view, compared to what should remain private? We live in a different world now, with 24/7 social media and an increasingly common cultural preference for transmitting our lives overtly. When was the last time you reviewed your social media settings? When was the last time you thought about your overall social media profile and behaviour? How much of your life is on full display? Would a quick search by a potential future employer be improve your career prospects? Alternately, what is the optimum level of transparency inside your family and personal relationships? We return the way we always do: grateful for the weekend and having a lot to say about what we've been watching. Plus everything that's happened on social media. Plus what we're packing for our trip next week. Plainly put, it's a mess but it's our mess. Stick around for when we wax poetic about the could-have-beens for Tommy Merlyn. #tommydeservedbetter #WEdeservedbetter
The LGBTQGM ("G" is for Gr**mer and "M" is for Monkeypox) community is back, and it is infecting the world with a new disease. However, it's homophobic to even mention where it comes from. Even right-wing pundits say it's bigoted to tell the truth about who is spreading the disease. That's why we brought in some very NOT gay women to discuss the insanity of our world and how nobody is willing to speak the truth anymore in America. In fact, we are punished for stating the facts. Plainly put, WE ARE NOT A SERIOUS COUNTRY ANYMORE.
