NO TIME TO DIE shocked audiences around the globe by doing what no Bond movie had ever dared to do — killing James Bond. After decades of near-death escapes, 007 finally met his end in Daniel Craig's last outing as the iconic British spy. But was it the bold, emotional conclusion the franchise needed, or an unforgivable betrayal of everything James Bond stands for? Now that the shock value has worn off, it's time to reexamine this. Was it bold storytelling, betrayal, or a cop out? In this episode of Cracking the Code of Spy Movies from SpyMovieNavigator.com, hosts Dan and Tom are joined by passionate Bond experts from across the globe: Morgan Lisney (Canada), Pietro Rossi (UK), Bill Kanas, and Stuart Bassinger (US). They debate one of the most controversial endings in movie history. Together, they dive deep into No Time to Die's themes, story arcs, plot holes, production decisions, and what Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson might have been thinking when they agreed to end Bond's story. From discussions about Bond's legacy, Daniel Craig's arc, and Amazon's takeover of the franchise, to speculation about the future of 007, this episode explores every angle. Was Bond's death a creative risk that gave the series emotional weight, or did it destroy the fantasy that made audiences fall in love with the character for over 60 years? We also examine how the Craig era compares to classic Bond films, from Casino Royale to Skyfall, and whether the next generation of filmmakers should reboot, revive, or completely reinvent 007.
This week, Moscow's top general has claimed that Russia has tested a low-flying experimental nuclear-powered cruise missile. It is said to be powered by a nuclear reactor and is capable of carrying a nuclear warhead with a potentially unlimited range. Russia calls it Burevestnik, Nato have codenamed it ‘Skyfall', and others have said it's a ‘tiny flying Chernobyl'. Western experts have previously cast doubt over missile's strategic value and Russian claims of having successfully tested it.But how dangerous is it?Victoria is joined by the BBC's Ben Tavener and Catriona Perry in Moscow and Washington respectively, plus Dr Justin Bronk who is a senior research fellow for Airpower and Technology at the military think tank RUSI.Plus, after Trump shifts his positions on sanctions, we look to the future to ask how the US president could potentially put more economic pressure on Russia.Today's episode is presented by Victoria Derbyshire. The producers were Julia Webster and Rufus Gray. The technical producer was Dave O'Neill. The series producer is Chris Flynn. Pamiętajcie – to nasz ranking! A jak wygląda Wasz? Dajcie znać w komentarzach! Do usłyszenia! JAMES BOND TEAM PL

I have to confess: On September 30, 2025, I was legit sweating bullets for Black folks. Not because of some existential threat like systemic racism or killer cops—no, this was the big one. The government shutdown.According to the Democratic echo chamber, that's when we hit peak vulnerability; like gazelles sensing a lion pride on the savanna. We're talking furloughs, frozen paychecks, and food stamps flickering out like a bad rom-com ending. And don't get me started on how they'd convinced the Black Left that a cackling madman was piloting the White House, twirling his mustache while plotting our demise.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Phil and Emily continue their miniseries on Oscar winning Best Director follow ups from the 2000s with Road to Perdition, Sam Mendes' ambitious second feature after American Beauty. Joining them is film journalist and podcaster Blake Howard (One Heat Minute Productions), who helps unpack the film's technical brilliance, subdued emotional core, and unique place in early 2000s cinema.Together, they dive into Mendes' leap from stage to screen, the film's striking cinematography from Conrad Hall, and how Tom Hanks' against type performance reshaped audience expectations. The conversation explores Paul Newman's final live action role, Jude Law's scene stealing menace, and Daniel Craig's early career turn as one of cinema's most dangerous nepo babies. They also debate Thomas Newman's Oscar nominated score, the film's release strategy, and how it stands among Mendes' eclectic career from Jarhead to Skyfall and beyond. With insights ranging from Jude Law's underrated presence to the legacy of Paul Newman and Tom Hanks' evolving star persona, this episode is both a reconsideration of a Depression era gangster story and a reflection on the pressures of following up an Oscar winning debut. Skyfall was the name of a James Bond film but it could easily be the next chapter for Democrats. Because Chicken Little finally got it right. The sky is falling on them, and by sky, I mean the hammer of Thor, except it's being wielded by none other than the Democrats themselves. Tatiana Martinez, an illegal residing in LA who built a career on social media by doxxing ICE agents and directing her followers to harass them and disrupt their arrests, has now been arrested herself.I predict that by the end of 2026, you won't have a lot of open “sanctuary” people lingering around. They seem to think it's ok to thwart law enforcement, but that will stop soon.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Movie soundtracks have given us some of the most unforgettable songs in music history, from Adele's haunting "Skyfall" to Seal's unexpected hit "Kiss from a Rose," we explore twelve iconic songs that made their mark through cinema. What happens when legendary artists create music specifically for the silver screen? We dive into Bruce Springsteen's approach to "The Wrestler" – a song he casually wrote after a concert and gave away for free – alongside Tina Turner's deeply personal "I Don't Want to Fight" created for her own biopic. Bond themes get special attention as we compare Paul McCartney's revolutionary "Live and Let Die" with Adele's moody, orchestral "Skyfall," showing how these musical moments reflect the evolution of the 007 franchise itself. Meanwhile, The Weeknd's sultry "Earned It" demonstrates how a film tie-in (Fifty Shades of Grey) can launch a song into the stratosphere regardless of the movie's critical reception. The mix also features the fascinating origin story behind Simon & Garfunkel's "Mrs. Robinson," which was originally written about Eleanor Roosevelt before being hastily repurposed for "The Graduate" with a simple word replacement. From Randy Newman's heartwarming "You've Got a Friend in Me" to the emotionally devastating "See You Again" by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth, these songs prove that when filmmakers and musicians collaborate, magic happens.Whether you're a film buff, music lover, or both, this episode celebrates those perfect moments when visuals and sound collide to create something greater than the sum of their parts. In this episode of Fic Clique, your hosts discuss "it was dark when i found you," by whimsicalimages (Skyfall) @14:01, "Because it is bitter, and because it is my heart," by kaydeefalls (Inception) @40:30, and "Situation Normal: All Fucked Up," by gyzym (MCU) @1:09:24. It's another blast from the past as we round out this year's birthday episodes, and this time we examine fandom-wide trends of breaking characters away from their archetypes, raising the stakes in opposite ways to canon, and the tropes we always return home to.
In this powerful episode, I'm joined by Skyfall, a blind lucid dreamer and content creator who shares how he taught himself to navigate the dream world through sound, memory, and logic. We explore what dreaming is like without visual imagery, how to stabilize lucidity, false awakenings, technology in dreams, and why awareness matters more than control. Whether you're new to lucid dreaming or a seasoned oneironaut, this episode will expand how you think about consciousness. We discuss:

Historically Thinking: Conversations about historical knowledge and how we achieve it
The liturgy of the Christian church is often dismissed today as archaic, arcane—or dead. But as Cosima Clara Gillhammer shows in her new book Light on Darkness: The Untold Story of the Liturgy, these ritual forms were once the very heartbeat of Western culture and continue to shape not only our cultural memory but even contemporary cultural practice. In this episode, we explore how liturgical practices shaped medieval life, art, and literature—and why echoes of the liturgy still resound today in movie soundtracks, national ceremonies, and even the architecture around us. Gillhammer argues that far from being merely theological abstractions, liturgical forms were deeply human, and gave language to joy, grief, awe, and the cycles of time. We trace how those patterns wove themselves into everything from Michelangelo's Pietà to John Trumbull's Battle of Bunker Hill—and even to James Bond's Skyfall. Far from being obscure or antique, liturgy turns out to be the roots of much what we take for granted. Light on Darkness: The Untold Story of the Liturgy is published by Reaktion. Cosima Clara Gillhammer is Career Development Fellow in English at Lady Margaret Hall, University of Oxford. She teaches and researches medieval literature, culture, and liturgy.

Christian from Imaginary Game Studios joins Ben this week to talk about a word that is very dear to him. In addition to being a component in the name of Christian's game development company, imagination is something that both of the hosts love to use in their day-to-day lives and in all of their creative endeavors because it brings them so much joy. As one would expect from the topic of imagination, the conversation goes many fascinating places—cooking, mixology, childhood toys and games, and imaginary friends… to name a few. In the video games-focused segment, they engage in a little brainstorming session about a couple of video game ideas Ben has had over his lifetime. Finally, they "put a bow on it" with a question from Christian about Ben's most impactful gaming moment. *** 00:00:20 - Actively supremo, Spaghetti-Os, youthful eating habits, and prison fruit rollups 00:03:20 - Rogue Climber development, an announcer voice, and other show considerations 00:05:26 - Attending virtually, advice on attending the Tokyo Game Show, and proper nouns 00:08:58 - A Scottish themed suggestion, Legos and other toys of our youth, and the FRPG 00:15:29 - Don't forget your globe, hitting Christian with the definition, and Christian hits back 00:18:03 - Visualization, cooking with Christian, pungent, creative mixology, and Sex on a Bus 00:24:15 - The imagination game, sandboxes, Kenshi, and when Activision was cutting edge 00:29:40 - Ben is left speechless, creating strategies, and getting into the weeds of “the meta” 00:35:05 - The imaginary friends of your childhood… TODAY, and the death of unique premises 00:38:45 - Skyfall …finger, Double Fine games, Ben starts pitching game ideas, and mimes 00:41:37 - Roger Rabbit, noir meets buddy cops, cost cutting measures, and Seth MacFarlane 00:47:06 - Side-scrolling beat ‘em up dates, diversity perspectives, and making infinity money 00:52:02 - Product versus art, Ben's struggle with reviews, and Christian's least favorite game 00:56:59 - Leveling the playfield with consoles, marketing moves, and Ben's most meaningful 01:02:46 - Creating sharable experiences with game design, and Christian convinces Ben *** Follow all the shenanigans of Imaginary Game Studios here… On their website: https://www.imaginarygamestudios.com/ On their Discord: https://discord.gg/YyDD7ECtdJ On their YouTube channel - they post all sorts of stuff from gaming news, to gaming podcasts, to game jams, to the occasional cooking video: https://www.youtube.com/@caxtnova Follow Two Vague on… Our website: https://www.twovaguepodcast.com On Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/two_vague_podcast On YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@twovaguepodcast On Substack: https://twovaguepodcast.substack.com/ On Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/twovaguepodcast.com For show appearance and other inquiries, contact us at: twovaguepodcast@gmail.com -AND- …for all of your PRI and 2VP merch check out the Partly Robot Industries store at TEEPUBLIC! https://www.teepublic.com/user/partly-robot-industries *** References, Links, and Tags Imaginary Game Studios GAMES on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2673440/Rogue_Climber/ https://store.steampowered.com/app/2175790/Meticulous/ #Podbean #DIYPodcast #ApplePodcast #VideoGames #Trivia #Comedy #Talkshow #2VP #TwoVaguePodcast #PodernFamily #InterviewShow #GamersofThreads #Gamer #PartlyRobot #PartlyRobotIndustries #TeePublic #RogueClimber #Meticulous #ImaginaryGameStudios #Caxtnova

Bond is back — and better than ever. In Episode 23 of my ongoing 007 series, I dive into one of the most celebrated entries in the franchise: Skyfall (2012). Directed by Sam Mendes with Cinematography by Roger Deakins, and starring Daniel Craig in peak form, Skyfall delivers emotional depth, high-stakes espionage, and stunning visuals — all while celebrating the 50th anniversary of James Bond on screen. To pair with this sleek, stylish Bond adventure, I'm pouring a glass of the 2024 release of Bomberger's Declaration Bourbon — a bold, complex whiskey that's as refined and powerful as 007 himself. I share tasting notes, my thoughts on the latest batch, and how it complements the themes and tone of Skyfall.
