In today's Shopify Ecommerce Podcast, my guest is Pavel Petrinich the Co-Founder and CRO of SegmentStream.SegmentStream is a Conversion Modelling Platform that helps e-commerce & D2C brands drive more sales by providing them with real-time marketing attribution insights. Marketers rely on attribution data to make informed budget allocation decisions, while ad platforms like Google and Facebook Ads use this information to optimize their auto-bidding and targeting algorithms. However, current analytics tools can no longer provide accurate and timely attribution insights due to modern cookie restrictions and complex customer journeys that involve multiple browsers and devices. SegmentStream stands out from other tools by utilizing its proprietary Conversion Modeling technology to accurately measure the incremental value of each website visit into future, predicted conversions, rather than past conversions. This ensures that each traffic source receives the proper value, even if the actual conversion occurs from another device, browser, or cookie. By evaluating website visits in real-time, marketing teams can identify growth opportunities, and ad platforms receive crucial real-time feedback on the incremental value of each ad click. SegmentStream is an official partner of Meta and Google, as well as trusted by L'Oreal, KitchenAid, Omnicom Media Group, and more than 50 other e-commerce brands and agencies.Building a successful Shopify business requires not only hard work and dedication, but also access to the right information and tooling. Scott Beatty is an incredible guy. He's a writer, professor, father and DC Comics historian on top of everything else. Beatty has written several books in the Batman Family series of events including Nightwing: Year One, Robin: Year One and Batgirl: Year One (the latter two with Bane co-creator, Chuck Dixon). He has also published several, "Ultimate Guides" via DK Publishing that included, Batman: The Ultimate Guide to the Dark Knight, The Superman Handbook: The Ultimate Guide to Saving the Day, Wonder Woman: The Ultimate Guide to the Amazon Princess and The DC Comics Encyclopedia, to name a few. On top of all that Beatty has recently survived a major health crisis following a respiratory bout with COVID-19 that had him at one point coughing up blood. Literally, the man has gone from writing about superheroes to becoming a survivor and in all that did not lose his sense of humor, his determination to continue working and continues to take care of his family post recovery. We spoke with Beatty about his career, the false negative result of the test that doctors later confirmed was most likely the dreaded "C-word" that people don't want to mention and the future of the industry as a whole with the new normal when it comes to publishing books. You can follow Scott Beatty on Twitter @Scott_M_Beatty, his blog at ScottBeatty.Blogspot.com and find out what else he is working on via the interview above.

Community building and tackling life's roadblocks. Did you know that community building can help you take on some of the most difficult roadblocks that life throws your way? It's true! According to Diana, we are all products of some type of community. The myth of the self-made man or woman is just that, a myth! If you've ever wondered what that secret formula is that many high-level leaders have, the answer is community! Leaders like Tony Robbins refuse to be satisfied with what most of society tries to pass off as “Community.” (I'm looking at you Facebook!) What these high performing leaders know is you can go further, enjoy life to the fullest, and create a meaningful impact when you surround yourself with people who get it. Don't you want that? One great action step that Diana mentioned in our conversation is taking the time to invest in products from communities that you value. If you want to tap into the power of Tony's community, go to his seminars or read his books! Do whatever you can to gather voices around you that support your goals and move you forward. Learn more from Diana's helpful perspective on community building by listening to this episode! Leave FAKE community behind and embrace authentic community! Let's get real, most of us are so stinking tired of the superficiality on social media these days. Be honest, do you really feel connected to all the noise that you scroll through on Facebook and Instagram? What if there was a way to dig deep and get past all the ubiquitous baby photos, perfect food pictures, and political memes? How do you focus on community building in a meaningful way? Diana has dedicated her professional career to helping men and women build and sustain a community that goes beyond the surface BS and gets to the heart of what we all want - to really FEEL connected. Let's get past all the junk in our newsfeed and create a community that matters! How do you start building a healthy and authentic community? For Diana, it all started when she simply started reaching out to people around her and showed that she cared about them and what they were working on. Revolutionary, right? But it really is! Deep down you know that something powerful and transformative gets unlocked when regular men and women lay down their agenda and reach out to help one another. Don't buy the lie that you are an island unto yourself, step out and take the risk to begin building authentic community today! Take a chance and reach out either in person or online and take the initiative to start building a community around yourself that you can be proud of! Get more helpful community building tips from Diana on this powerful episode! What's in your “Jar?” Does your life need an upgrade? What if you could kick it from 211 degrees to 212 and get this baby boiling?! If you are ready to put in the work, check out Diana's exercise that helped her go from lukewarm to boiling hot! In this exercise, the jar represents your life and you fill it up with rocks, sand, water, etc. which represent the things you fill your life with. Instead of just filling up her jar with the things that she currently does on a daily basis, Diana decided to make it more aspirational than descriptive. She engaged in this exercise to get clarity in her life and really drill down into what she wanted to spend her valuable time doing. While Diana cautions people from projecting too far into the future with this exercise, she says that she found great value in leveraging “Point B” to navigate her way through “Point A.” You can do this! You don't have to settle for the mundane routine that you are so sick of. Break out of the mold and start moving toward your goals! Take this opportunity to engage in an exercise that has the potential to get you going in the right direction. Go deeper with Diana's insights on community building and hear more about her experience with the jar exercise by listening to this informative episode, you don't want to miss it! In order to create the best content, you will need to spend a lot of time on it but Primoz believes it will be well worth the effort because, “You can create this asset once and then use it everywhere to attract new, high quality customers.” An Ultimate Guide can be proliferated across different media channels such as audio and text.
