Political theater has become the new normal. Catch phrases, blame, fall guys, demonizing those that do not believe as you do... the rally points for people to feel validated and empowered. From headlines that shape a bias to the stories that tell us who is evil and who is good, our nation is being played by a master level pysop in the name of hope and the Golden Age. Our call is to step back from the insanity. We need to ask the hard questions and expose the obvious that those who rule don't want you to speak. Truth is the asymmetric counter insurgency that those in power most fear. #BardsFM_Morning #ManipulationAndDivision #InformationWarfare Bards Nation Health Store: www.bardsnationhealth.com EnviroKlenz Air Purification, promo code BARDS to save 10%: www.enviroklenz.com EMPShield protect your vehicles and home. US President Donald Trump makes the longest-ever State of the Union address, claiming America's enjoying a golden age.But will his message on the economy be enough to persuade voters worried about persistent high prices? Also in the programme: Sri Lanka's former intelligence chief has been arrested in connection with the 2019 Easter Sunday bombings that killed more than 270 people; and we'll hear from the small Norwegian club inside the Arctic Circle that's shaking up European football.(Photo shows US president Donald Trump delivering the State of the Union address at the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C. on 24 February 2026. Justin Connor, filmmaker and musician behind The Golden Age, shares how his saxophonist father and jazz-loving parents never encouraged music yet inadvertently programmed workaholism into his DNA—a double-edged sword that became both his greatest asset for wearing multiple hats on independent films and his potential downfall requiring hard drive reformatting of his life. Connor reveals how cigarette addiction reflected grief stored in the lungs, how psychedelics and ayahuasca offered exploration without true addiction, and why workaholism proved more dangerous than any substance by fueling perfectionism, obsessive careerism, and control. Drawing from his upbringing witnessing family dynamics, he explains how directing became about trusting himself as an adult after childhood wounds, why he interned for Eric Holder before a double feature of Shawshank Redemption and Pulp Fiction redirected him to Hollywood, and how creating The Golden Age with superhuman strength felt like lancing a boil that needed purging—a film he could never remake even with 10 million dollars. We present this week, since it's the last Sunday of the month, a new feature: OBSCURE OLD-TIME RADIO THEATRE! These may or may not be familiar to you, but we're betting that most of you haven't heard of these before. And so, depending on how much bandwidth we have left over at the end of a month, we'll be bringing you a handful of basically unknown radio shows from the Golden Age, and more than likely from a country other than the U.S. of A. We conclude with... LUX RADIO THEATRE (SOUTH AFRICA) -- an unadvertised extra feature, we had even more bandwidth available than we thought we would, so here's this little gem -- originally broadcast on South Africa's Springbok Radio, it ran for decades and, following the same format of the U.S. version, featured adaptations of films -- but borrowed from English and African cinema as well as American. Our feature today is called A Gentleman's Sport, which tells the story of a young man's desire to follow in his father's footsteps as a decorated aviator.
