¿Semana Santa? ¡No, Holy War!!!. - RUNNING WILD- "Bad to the Bone" (Sintonía) - MANOWAR- "Kings of Metal" ("Kings of Metal", 1988) - MANOWAR- "Brothers of Metal" (versión demo distinta a la de "Louder than Hell", en directo en 1989) - MANOWAR- "Holy War" ("Fighting the World", 1987) - MANOWAR- "Metal Warriors" ("Triumph of Steel", 1992) - MANOWAR- "Metal Daze" ("Secret of Steel", Pirata de 1984) - MANOWAR- "Gloves of Metal" ("Defender single", 1983) - MANOWAR- "Army of Immortals" ("Hail to England", 1984) - MANOWAR- "Blow your Speakers" (Fighting the World, 1987) - MANOWAR- "Kingdom Come" ("Kings of Metal", 1988) - ROSS THE BOSS- "Blood of Knives" (New Metal Leader, 2008) - MANOWAR- "The Crown and the Ring" ("Kings of Metal", 1988)

It's Ritchie's birthday on Tuesday 14 April - the day this goes out officially. He will be 81. I think we mention that here somewhere. And Ginger, who told me a couple of years ago that he knew he wouldn't live past 62 (I think it was 62, if not then maybe 64, but I'm fairly sure it was 62) has now been given a couple of years to live following his cancer diagnosis.Meanwhile, we lost another of the good guys recently when Ross The Boss - guitarist and co-founder of Manowar - died of complications from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), aka motor neuron disease. He was 72.On the lighter side... um... ah... LOADS of cool stuff! Come on in, the water's fine! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Blackened Speed Thrash at it's best. Also wieder reichlich Futter für eure Ohren. Viel Spaß damit - wir hatten ihn.ThemenIntro 00:00Lass mal wieder was mit Bier machen 11:44BRLO X Störtebecker - Flipper Hazy Pale Ale AlkoholfreiSteam Brew - Imperial StoutAnspieltipps 16:14Grade 2Exodus - GoliathHellripper - CoronarchAxel Rudi Pell - Ghost TownViolet GrohlRest In PowerRoss The Boss 25:27Album Review Gaerea - Loss 40:15Hat dir die Folge gefallen? S9E14 went out live from TSORR Studios in Myoli Beach on the 2nd of April 2026. It was a great show; I thoroughly enjoyed it after missing last week's show due to a family medical situation and a disastrous Airbnb experience. It was super to be back behind the mic, and I used the show to recount some of the stories, the adventures, and the highlights of the trip. There was a very funny and interesting interview with the insanely talented Craig V, with whom I spent time while on the road. There are a lot of new releases/discoveries. Other than a duff start where the mic had to be reset, it was one of my favourite shows ever. Artists featured: Rob Zombie, The Lazys, The L.A. Maybe, Nickelback, Blue Öyster Cult, Black Label Society, Marilyn Manson, Cold Chisel, Nick Perri & the Underground Thieves, Sevendust, POD, Dave Lee Roth, Guns N' Roses, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, ACDC, Aerosmith, Eric Clapton, Interview - Craig V, Last Dart Dave, Led Zeppelin, Cheap Trick, Manowar, Marcus King, Joe Bonamassa, Dan Patlansky, Ayron Jones, Lost Society, Blue Medusa, Exodus, Lyzyrd Kyngs, Valiant Swart, Black Label SocietyThe Story of Rock and Roll.
This week's Heavy Metal Tones is a very special and heartfelt episode. Following the sad passing of Ross The Boss on March 26, we're revisiting one of our favourite conversations — the full interview with Ross alongside Stu Marshall, originally released as Episode 218 in April 2025.In this powerful chat, Ross reflects on his incredible career, from his early days with The Dictators to the glory and power of Manowar, and into the modern era with Death Dealer. It's an honest, warm and inspiring conversation that captures the passion, humour and dedication that made him such a beloved figure in the metal world. If you missed this episode the first time, or want to celebrate his legacy with us, this is the perfect moment to press play, turn it up loud, and remember a true legend.

This week on Geekwire, we dig into some big movement in the hard rock and metal world as Skid Row teams up with Sweetwater for a worldwide search for a brand-new singer — and yes, anyone with the pipes can throw their hat in the ring. We also hit comments from Slash, who explains how the Guns N' Roses recording process has always worked as a democracy behind the scenes, plus tour news as W.A.S.P. announces the “1984 to Headless” North American run with special guests KK's Priest. We discuss a tough update from the metal world as Twisted Sister cancels all 2026 reunion shows due to Dee Snider's health challenges, and the reaction across the scene. Also in the mix: Manowar shares emotional words following news about Ross “The Boss,” Accept guitarist Philip Shouse unveils his debut EP, and Blaze Bayley explains why he's stepping away from meet-and-greets at future shows. We check out a funny story from Chris Jericho involving Ozzy Osbourne, along with new music news from Donnie Vie signing to Steven Van Zandt's label. KISS-related headlines dominate part of the show as Gene Simmons joins an all-star tribute to the Bon Scott era of AC/DC, the sons of Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons release the first Stanley Simmons video, and the classic “I Was Made For Lovin' You” video crosses the one-billion-view mark on YouTube. Plus: Brett Carlisle's run on American Idol, the bizarre Chattanooga KISS memorabilia theft story (by popular demand), and renewed discussion around the Kurt Cobain investigation as claims resurface while Seattle police stand by the original ruling. For our Ninth Anniversary Episode, the Shat Crew draws the sword from the stone and rides into John Boorman's epic Excalibur (1981). Commissioned by Chris, Mike, and Ollie to celebrate their father Robert's 60th birthday, this Arthurian fever dream delivers knights, magic, and more shiny armor than a Manowar album cover. From Nicol Williamson's scene-stealing Merlin to Helen Mirren's wickedly alluring Morgana, the movie is equal parts mythic grandeur and campy chaos. Gene marvels at the operatic visuals, while Big D is dazzled by the medieval carnage. Together they debate whether this is the definitive retelling of the Arthurian legend or just a two-and-a-half-hour bad trip brought to life. As we celebrate nine years of podcasting, join us for knights in shining armor, incestuous twists and the most metal “O Fortuna” montage ever put to film. Long live the once and future pod! Plot Summary:In Excalibur (1981), director John Boorman reimagines the Arthurian legend with a mix of operatic spectacle and raw brutality. From Uther Pendragon's lustful betrayal to Arthur's rise as king, the film chronicles the rise and fall of Camelot through battles, betrayal, and forbidden love. With unforgettable performances from Nicol Williamson as Merlin and Helen Mirren as Morgana, Excalibur stands as one of the most iconic—and most eccentric—fantasy films of the 1980s. This week we travel back in time to just after the dawn of PUNK ROCK (1978-1981)! We discuss bands influenced by the 1st wave who then took punk into various sub-genres. If you don't think Punk is for you based on secondhand information, we ask that you listen with an open mind and prepare to get out some aggression. This episode features songs with the shortest track length that we've ever played; it's PUNK ROCK people! Punk is where Kevin started down his path of music fanaticism. Although, that was more based around the hardcore Punk scenes. This is the lead-up to hardcore, and what would establish punk as a lasting genre full of variety and originality. Hope you dig the 2nd wave!Songs this week include:The Dictators – “Faster And Louder” from Blood Brothers (1978)Magazine – “Shot By Both Sides” from Real Life (1978)Chelsea – “I'm On Fire” from Chelsea (1979)The Stranglers – “Dead Loss Angeles” from The Raven (1979)GG Allin – “One Man Army” from Always Was, Is, And Always Shall Be (1980)Zounds – “Can't Cheat Karma” from Curse Of The Zounds (1980)Soggy – “Waiting For The War” from Soggy (1981)The Cheifs – “Liberty” from Holly-West Crisis (1981)Please subscribe everywhere that you listen to podcasts!Visit us: https://inobscuria.com/https://www.facebook.com/InObscuriahttps://x.com/inobscuriahttps://www.instagram.com/inobscuria/Buy cool stuff with our logo on it: InObscuria Store
